My friend saw the picture of Missy and Zeeko with their partners at the knicks game and asked me to write this for her.

Maggie was sitting at her desk filling in her paperwork on their latest case, she liked to do the paperwork when the case was still fresh in her head. She was drawn from her work when someone sat on the edge of her desk and she smiled seeing it was Jubal.
"Hey, where are the others?." Jubal asked as he smiled softly at Maggie.
"Tiff and Stuey went out to get some lunch and OA was helping out another agent with something. You need me to get them?." Maggie leaned back in her chair as she watched Jubal.
He shook his head "No, I came in here to talk to you, I was just wondering where they were to find out if I could talk openly or not." His smile now softened as he looked at Maggie "I know you said that you didn't want to go out tonight for Valentine's Day and I know this is late notice but I have been offered two Knick's tickets and I was wondering…"
Jubal didn't get to even finish as Maggie sat up straight "Oh my god, please tell me you said yes? I mean yeah I said I didn't want to go out but this is different."
"So basketball makes you break that rule huh?" Jubal teased Maggie playfully as he nudged her leg gently with his. "But yes I told him that I was more than sure you would say yes, but that I wanted to double check with you before taking the tickets."
"See now this is the best valentines present that anyone could get." Maggie reached out letting her hand brush against Jubal's knowing that their hands were hidden with the way they were both sitting "You are okay with going to the game?." Maggie knew that Jubal loved basketball just as much as she did but she still wanted to make sure this was something he wanted to do.
"Seeing you this excited and happy? Of course I'm happy to go Mag's. We had been talking about trying to get tickets to go to a game but just hadn't got around to it. You are happy for me to go with you? You didn't want to take the tickets and take someone else?." Jubal knew that they had been careful about being out in public together as the team didn't know about them dating never mind the fact that they had been living together for a couple of months now, the only person at work that knew was Isobel.
Maggie checked around them just to make sure no one was around them as she took Jubal's hand squeezing it gently "Jubal the reason that I'm this excited and happy about going is because I'm getting to go with you. It's really sweet of you to offer to give me the tickets but I only want to go if it is us going together."
"Then I will go ring Kyle back and tell him that we will definitely take the tickets and arrange how to get them." Jubal couldn't shake the smile off his face, he was happy when Maggie agreed so easily to join him even though it was going out somewhere in public.
"Tell him I said thank you and now you have made getting through this paperwork so much easier." Maggie chuckled softly "But I kinda need you to disappear and not distract me so that we can leave here at a decent time." She smirked playfully.
"Oh so I tell you we are finally getting to do something that we have been talking about for a while and now you are basically kicking me out of here?." He raised his eyebrow playfully, he did love that they had never lost their playful banter over the last nine months.
"We both know you would be disappointed in me if I wasn't telling you to stop distracting me by sitting on my desk smirking at me." Maggie chuckled softly.
"Hmm..okay that's true, I'll give you that one." Jubal squeezed Maggie's hand gently "If you can't find an excuse to stay back so that we can go home together just let me know baby."
"Hopefully I will but if I can't I will let you know." Maggie smiled softly as she was still focused on Jubal "Thank you again for setting up a great date night."
"You never have to thank me for anything Mags and especially not when I'm looking forward to this as much as you are." Jubal gently squeezed Maggie's hand once more before he reluctantly had to leave, he would have happily sat there all day with Maggie but he knew that they both had work to get finished up so that they could get home and ready to head to the game.
The rest of the day went by quickly, the team were discussing their plans for the evening but all were saying how they were going to have quiet nights in even if it was a Friday night as they didn't want to get caught up in the crowds that were going to be out on valentines. OA and Stuart walked out together as they were talking about the Knick's game tonight, discussing that they were looking forward to watching it. Tiffany had already left so it meant that Maggie was able to pack up and head into the JOC to Jubal, she smiled seeing him sitting at his desk.
"Hey, you ready to head home or do you have a meeting with Isobel?."
"No I can go home now, I just have to leave this file on Isobel's desk and then we can get out of here." Jubal smiled as he stood up lifting the file, he told Maggie that he would meet her at the elevator.
They both stepped on to the elevator together before Jubal drove them home, they had just stepped inside their apartment, Jubal had moved into Maggie's apartment, when Maggie looked over her shoulder at Jubal "I'm going to go grab a shower and get changed, then we can head and get something to eat there, that sound good?."
"Sounds perfect baby, just give me a shout when the shower is free." Jubal leaned in kissing Maggie softly before she left heading up the stairs.
While Maggie was in the shower Jubal decided to make them coffee and brought them upstairs so that he could leave out what he was wearing. He had set the coffee mugs down on the bedside table and he saw his favourite hoodie sitting out on the bed which happened to be a Knick's hoodie. He heard Maggie stepping out of the bathroom and he turned to see her coming out of their en-suite in her underwear. He always loved being reminded of how comfortable she felt around him.
Maggie saw Jubal was standing beside his hoodie on the bed as she walked over to him "Were you planning on wearing that hoodie?."
Jubal wrapped his arms around Maggie when she was close enough to him as he ran the tips of his fingers along her lower back slowly "You mean the hoodie that I lost a month into our relationship?." He had a playfully smirk on his lips as Maggie wrapped her arms around his neck.
"That your way of telling me that you are okay with me wearing it to the game?." Maggie let her fingers play with the hair at the nape of Jubal's neck.
"You really want to wear it to the game?." Jubal knew that Maggie loved wearing that hoodie, it was why she had it on her most evenings at home but she had never wore it outside before.
"If you are sure you don't mind babe, if you want to wear it though I completely understand." As much as Maggie wanted to wear the hoodie, it was still Jubal's and she knew it had been his favourite before she had basically taken it from him, so if he wanted to wear it she would completely understand.
"Of course I don't mind baby, I'm honestly just a little surprised that you want to wear it outside."
"It's your hoodie, you know how much I love wearing it and now I am getting to wear it to our first game together so of course I want to wear it." Maggie knew that it still surprised Jubal at times how much she really did love him.
"I love you so much baby." Jubal whispered as he closed the short distance between them kissing Maggie deeply with so much love.
Maggie moved as close to Jubal as she possibly could, running one of her hands along his back slowly as she kissed him back with just as much love. When they broke the kiss she lay her forehead gently against Jubal's,
"I love you too babe….go shower before we really don't want to leave." She whispered chuckling softly giving Jubal one more quick kiss before she playfully pushed him towards the bathroom.
Jubal shook his head laughing as he went into their en-suite taking a shower. Maggie was out in their bedroom getting dressed in her jeans and top, leaving the hoodie until it was near time to go. She couldn't stop thinking about how lucky she was, Jubal had woken her this morning with breakfast in bed and now she was getting to go to a game with him wearing his hoodie, it really was the perfect date night to her. She shook her head smiling when she thought about how it still surprised Jubal just how much she loved him, and how she was into him just as much as he was into her and that still blew his mind at times.
Jubal caught Maggie off guard as he came up behind her wrapping his arms around her kissing her neck "What has you shaking your head and smiling?."
"You." Maggie smiled as she lay back against Jubal's chest and lay her head back kissing his cheek "I was thinking about how you are still surprised by how much I love you, like your surprise at me wanting to wear your hoodie tonight."
"You know that we could spend the rest of our lives together baby and you would still find ways to surprise me by how much you love me and I know that makes me a very lucky man."
Maggie turned around in Jubal's arms leaning in kissing him deeply with so much love before reluctantly having to pull back to let Jubal get dressed. Maggie had headed downstairs telling Jubal she would wait there for him, she was checking that they had everything and she slid on her hoodie, well Jubal's hoodie, when she heard him coming downstairs. He couldn't stop the large smile when he saw her standing in her jeans and his hoodie, it did make his heart beat that little bit faster.
"You ready to go baby? You look perfect by the way."
Maggie's eyes had been on Jubal the minute that he walked into the room, he was in his jeans and his sports jacket, she loved being the one that got to see casual Jubal, it was something that she never took for granted.
"Thank you, had to look good when my man is so handsome while looking casual. I'm ready when you are babe, oh what about the tickets?."
Jubal took an envelope from his jacket pocket "Kyle got them delivered to work after I rang him back, means that we can head straight there baby."
They had decided that they would take the subway instead of one of them having to drive, it meant that they really got to enjoy every second with each other. Jubal had stood on the subway with his arms wrapped around Maggie who had happily lay against him. He didn't even put up a fight when Maggie asked him to stand in for a selfie outside Madison Square Garden, she had told him that she wanted to have a photo of their first game together. They had stopped to get some pizza before heading inside and they wanted to go check out their seats before going back out to get drinks and some snacks.
Maggie was sitting looking around her, holding Jubal's hand in hers just taking in the venue "Okay so we owe Kyle the best gift ever, these seats are amazing."
Jubal couldn't stop watching Maggie she hadn't stopped smiling from they had got ready in their apartment, he really did owe Kyle for thinking of him when he couldn't use the tickets himself. "Kyle said that the seats were decent, think we need to have a chat about what that actually means to him."
Jubal shook his head laughing, he was surprised when Maggie leaned in kissing him. He honestly wasn't sure how affectionate she would be comfortable with being in public, so he was leaving that up to her, but so far she had once again surprised him with how openly affectionate she was being. He could tell Maggie wasn't holding back and was just being herself and that meant the world to him, he wanted to take her on a proper date night from they had started dating so he was glad they were finally getting to do this, she deserved this and so much more.
Jubal was pulled from his thoughts when he heard Maggie "You want to head out and get some drinks and snacks?."
"Do you want me to run out and you can stay here?." Jubal caressed Maggie's hand with his thumb.
"Always so sweet to me Valentine." She smirked playfully as she leaned in kissing him softly "But I'll come out with you babe, you know if you aren't afraid I'll cramp your style hanging off you." Maggie teased playfully.
"You will just make every other guy in here jealous of me because I get to have a beautiful woman in my arms."
Maggie was always left a little breathless and her heart beating that little bit faster when Jubal spoke to her like this because she could tell looking at him that there was no teasing, he was being genuine.
"Don't ever stop being you babe." Maggie whispered as she leaned in placing small kisses to Jubal's lips.
They had stood up and headed out joining one of the queues so that they could get something to drink and Maggie wanted to get some chocolate as well. Jubal was standing with his arm around Maggie's shoulders as she was leaning against him, he ran his along her arm slowly,
"Do you want wine or beer baby?."
Maggie shook her head as she looked at Jubal "Tonight is a date night babe so I'm going to skip any alcohol so that I can keep doing this." She leaned up kissing him softly laying her hand on his chest.
"Reminding me once again how dam lucky I am"
Maggie turned into Jubal to face him more, keeping her hand on his chest, she was about to speak when she froze. Jubal had noticed straight away that Maggie had tensed up and her facial expression had changed to one of almost panic.
"Baby is everything okay?."
"Do not turn around…but OA and Stuart are standing right over there."
"Are you sure?" Jubal was not expecting Maggie to say what she had and when she raised her eyebrow looking at him he just shook his head "Right of course you are sure, just not what I was expecting you to say. Maybe they won't notice us from where they are standing."
OA and Stuart were standing checking the tickets to see which section they were sitting in, OA looked at Stuart "Hey thanks again for ringing me when you got these tickets, I'm sorry that your sister and her husband couldn't use them."
"No way was I going to offer them to anyone else, knew you wouldn't forgive me." Stuart laughed softly, he was looking around when something caught his attention "Hey is that Maggie standing over there with a guy?."
OA looked to where Stuart had nodded, and he had been right, it was Maggie standing looking at a guy who had his arm around Maggie's waist holding her close to him. "You know I had said to her a few times that I thought she has been dating someone, some of the things she has said and done lately made me sure I was right. Oh I can't wait to say to her that I was actually right." OA smirked playfully laughing as he and Stuart made their way over to Maggie.
Jubal had moved his arm to around Maggie's waist holding her close trying to help her relax again, he wanted her to be able to relax and enjoy their night out together. Before he could say anything Maggie was looking over his shoulder and speaking to him,
"They are making their way over here."
"You want me to get out of here baby?."
Maggie took her eyes off OA and Stuart to look at Jubal when she heard him and she was shaking her head straight away "No babe, not unless you want to. I'm not embarrassed about us dating, we knew they were going to find out eventually, this just wasn't how I thought it would happen."
Now Jubal was the one shaking his head hearing Maggie's words "I'm not going anywhere baby." He placed his lips to Maggie's forehead.
"Hey the guy with Maggie kinda looks like Jubal from the back." Stuart laughed as he spoke to OA as they got much closer to Maggie and what they were assuming was her boyfriend.
"That's true he does a little, we will have to tell Jubal when we see him." OA laughed as they were both convinced in their minds that there was just no way that it was Jubal standing with his arms around Maggie.
OA was the first to speak when they were close enough to Maggie "Now you are going to have to admit that I was right… I knew you were dating someone, unless you are just really friendly with this guy." OA smirked playfully.
Jubal was smirking a little looking at Maggie, he knew that there was absolutely no way that Stuart and OA were prepared for him turning around. He kept his arm around Maggie as he turned to face OA and Stuart "I'm hoping that you haven't seen Maggie be this friendly with any other guy."
OA and Stuart reached out their hands slapping each other lightly on the chest as they both spoke at the same time "That is Jubal…."
Maggie and Jubal both couldn't help as they started to laugh as Maggie lay her head on Jubal's shoulder "I don't think they have ever been this shocked… and you know that OA has been convinced the last few weeks that I had been dating someone, I told you that." She looked at Jubal before back at OA and Stuart.
OA was opening and his closing his mouth, but he just couldn't get the words to come out right now, he and Stuart had been totally joking saying that the guy looked like Jubal, they never actually expected it to be Jubal. Jubal shook his head laughing and he saw that there was only one more group of people in front of them in the queue,
"Baby why don't you try to shake those two out of their shock and I'll grab the drinks and no don't worry I won't forget your chocolate." Jubal smirked playfully as he leaned in kissing Maggie's cheek.
"He just called Maggie baby…"
"He just kissed her cheek." Stuart answered OA as if Maggie and Jubal couldn't hear them, Maggie laughed as she gently pushed OA and Stuart over to the side so that they were out of the way, she asked them if they wanted beer and they both nodded so she shouted over to Jubal who was still chuckling seeing the reaction from OA and Stuart.
"You two doing okay? You are kinda freaking me out with how quiet you both are right now?."
"I mean were not seeing things right, cause we definitely only had one drink before coming in here." OA was slowly coming out of the shock that he was in.
"You and Jubal, you guys are really you know…" Stuart couldn't actually say the word dating.
"Dating?" Maggie chuckled when Stuart nodded "Yes..you guys aren't seeing things, we didn't expect to bump into you guys tonight, I thought you were both staying in tonight?."
"You mean the same way you were staying in to avoid Valentine's Day?." OA raised his eyebrow playfully as he was finally starting to feel like himself again.
"Hey, when you first asked me that this morning it was the truth, Jubal surprised me at lunch time by telling me that he had been offered tickets to the game. That wasn't something I was going to just blurt out to you guys."
"Not sure we would have believed you anyway." Stuart laughed softly.
"Believed Mags about what?." Jubal had come over carrying the tray with the drinks, he sat them on the table that Maggie was standing beside and handed Maggie the chocolates she had asked for.
"If I had of told them today that I was coming to the game tonight with you." Maggie smiled looking at Jubal.
"Can honestly say that we would have laughed it off thinking you were just trying to mess with me since I was so convinced you had been dating someone." OA looked at Maggie and Jubal, they noticed how Maggie had moved closer to Jubal who had wrapped his arm around Maggie's waist again.
"Did you guys really have no idea that we were dating?." Jubal was a little surprised when Maggie had moved in close to him as he wasn't sure how she would be in front of OA and Stuart.
Both Stuart and OA were shaking their heads straight away with Stuart being the one to speak as OA had taken a drink from his beer after thanking Jubal for the drinks "No, if we had any idea we definitely would have asked you guys or tried to find out. We had joked walking over to Maggie that the guy she was standing with kinda looked like you from the back, but we didn't actually expect it to be you."
"How long have you two been together?."OA had asked as soon as Stuart had finished speaking.
"Nine months" Maggie and Jubal both chuckled as they answered at the same time.
"How the hell have we not noticed for nine months?." OA couldn't believe that it had been that long "Does anyone at work know about you two?."
"Just Isobel, we had to disclose since Jubal is my ASAC, but outside of Isobel it's only our families that know. We were planning on telling you guys, but things kept coming up at work or we would have time with the kids so we hadn't gotten around to it."
"You didn't want to just stand at the top of the JOC and make a little announcement to us all?." OA joked playfully knowing that was the last thing that Maggie would want no matter how much she loved Jubal.
"Pretty sure if I had of done something like that Mags would have shot me." Jubal teased playfully.
Maggie slapped his chest playfully "Hey I'm not that bad." She chuckled when Jubal just smirked at her "Okay… I would have maybe reacted badly but not shot you, love you too much for that." She chuckled softly as she leaned in stealing a quick kiss from Jubal who was as surprised as OA and Stuart which made Maggie laugh "Why do you look surprised that I kissed you?, not the first time or last time it will happen".
"Not gonna lie, not sure I ever imagined you being comfortable enough to kiss me in front of the team."
"If it helps at all it's going to take us a really long time to get used to seeing you two standing with your arms around each other never mind kissing." OA laughed as he took another drink.
"How you going to handle finding out that Jubal has moved in with me?." Maggie smirked looking at OA who coughed a little as his beer had gone down the wrong way.
Jubal couldn't help the laugh as he looked at Maggie "Have to admit I love you a little bit more for that."
"I'm just glad that he didn't spit out his beer." Stuart couldn't help but laugh as OA wiped his mouth.
"You all are very lucky I didn't spit out my beer… you two seriously live together?."
Maggie nodded "We do, have done for a couple of months."
"So when you tell anyone else at work can you maybe not tell them that we didn't figure it out" Stuart laughed softly "Oh we are totally going to have to tell Tiff when we meet up with her after the game"
"Yeah maybe don't be as cruel as Maggie and make sure that she isn't drinking something when you tell her." OA smirked playfully joking with Maggie.
"Hey it's not my fault that you are so easy to mess with right now." Maggie laughed.
"You guys are welcome to join us after the game for a few drinks, Tiff is coming in to meet us." Stuart spoke looking at Maggie and Jubal. "You know unless you guys have plans after this since it is Valentine's Day."
"Not unless you really do want Mags shooting me." Jubal joked playfully "Neither of us were big on going out tonight, so Mags didn't actually lie it was going to be a quiet night in until we got offered these tickets. So it's up to you baby." He looked at Maggie as he spoke to her.
"I think we or at least I should be the one to tell Tiff, so we will join you for a little bit but it won't be a late one as we have the kids early in the morning." Maggie's smile grew even more as she talked about the kids as she leaned against Jubal more.
"So you talking about kids like this is also going to take a little getting used to." OA laughed softly as he looked at Maggie "Hey..wait, I thought you told me you didn't own a Knicks hoodie?." He pointed at the hoodie she was wearing.
Maggie smiled as she wrapped her free arm around Jubal's waist "I don't…it's Jubal's, I may have stolen it when we started dating."
"Maggie Bell out in public wearing her boyfriends hoodie, now that is something that I thought I would never see." OA teased playfully but it was also the truth.
"You mean same way we thought that we would never be calling Jubal Maggie's boyfriend?." Stuart asked looking at OA.
"Yeah okay that's true." OA laughed which had the others laughing, before they could say anything else there was an announcement to say the game would be starting soon. They realised that Jubal and Maggie were only sitting a few rows in front of OA and Stuart.
They all made their way to their seats agreeing to meet up at the end of the game, Jubal let Maggie into her seat before sitting down beside her and he sat their drinks under their seats before he lay his hand on Maggie's thigh squeezing it gently.
"You doing okay baby?. Not exactly what we were expecting to happen when we went out to get drinks."
Maggie wrapped her arms around Jubal's arm as she moved closer to him "I'm actually doing great babe, I have to admit it feels great them knowing, I no longer have to hide how much I love you." She lay her chin on Jubal's shoulder as she leaned in kissing him softly.
He lay his forehead against Maggie's and he couldn't shake the smile from his face "You know you really will never stop surprising me Maggie Bell." He whispered as he placed small kisses to her lips.
OA and Stuart couldn't help but watch them a few rows back as they watched Maggie now laugh at something Jubal had said before he lifted his arm wrapping it around Maggie as she moved in closer to him. OA finally took his eyes off them to look at Stuart,
"I can't believe that we never realised that they were dating, I mean look how happy and in love they look right now." OA looked back at Jubal and Maggie to see Jubal kissing Maggie's head.
"In our defence it's not like they acted this way in work." Stuart laughed softly.
OA and Stuart had tried to pay their full attention to the game but every now and then they found themselves looking at Maggie and Jubal who hadn't kept their hands off each other from they had sat down, they had always found ways to be touching no matter what. This was not how they ever imagined seeing their friends acting together.
They had met up after the game making their way to the bar where Tiff was waiting for them, Maggie had sat with Tiff and told her the news about her and Jubal and the guys could hear the small squeal from Tiff as she was just so happy for Maggie and Jubal. All three of them had been watching Jubal and Maggie sitting together in the bar, being so comfortable with stealing kisses, Jubal's hand resting on Maggie's thigh and Maggie sitting so close to Jubal. Before they left to go home, OA, Tiff and Stuart told Jubal and Maggie how truly happy they were for them as it was now so clear to see that they were both in love with each other and they both deserved to be so happy.
