AN: Here we are with the next chapter. I tried to make a longer than usual, though I only got around the usual length XC Sorry. I'll keep trying to make longer chapters though! Anyways, I hope you all enjoy!

Ash, Dawn, and Lillie walked to the village chief's house. He apparently told her to go see Hapu, and then Hapu told her to see him to get to Exeggutor Island.

Lillie ran off the boat with a smile. "I think I'm starting to understand the appeal of being a pokemon trainer! It's nice being able to go anywhere with pokemon!"

Ash beamed. "Yeah, it's really great!"

Lillie smiled. "When I look at you two, Hapu, and Hau… I feel like trainers are free to pursue any future with their pokemon by their side."

"I think so too!" Dawn said as she smiled at piplup.

Piplup looked at Dawn and smiled.

Pkachu nuzzled Ash's face and Ash petted him as he laughed.

Ash and Dawn walked holding hands following Lillie as she walked through the island. Suddenly, it rained.

"Oh no!" Dawn shouted.

"We need to find some shelter!" Ash shouted.

Lillie found a small cave. "This way!" she shouted.

They all ran inside the cave to wait it out till the rain stopped.

"…Looking out in the rain like this reminds me when I was little… I saw a man singing in the rain on a movie. It was so captivating to me that I went to try it for myself. My mom spotted me and was so shocked that she forgot to grab an umbrella when she ran out to me. Then… She smiled and danced in the rain with me!"

Ash beamed. "Wow! That sounded like fun!" Then he looked away with a bashful look. "I know my mom would''ve came out and scolded me if I tried that…"

Lillie looked down. "Well… It wasn't so fun when we both got sick."

Dawn gave a serious look. "Guess things are best left in movies…"

Then she looked up with a smile. "But she let me sleep in her huge bed. I was so happy that I kept waking her to make sure it wasn't a dream!"

"She sounds like a great mother," Dawn said.

Ash smiled. "Yeah!"

Lillie frowned with narrowed eyes. "She was… until she suddenly changed. When all she thought about was the Ultra Beasts. Null and Nebby suffered so much… and I couldn't do a thing…"

Dawn and Ash both frowned.

"Lillie…" Dawn started.

She then looked up and smiled. "But you know, whenever I feel there's nothing I can do, you two come and… you've shown me that it's possible, every time… to do something."

Dawn smiled. "Of course! You just gotta give it a try!"

Ash looked down, remembering his struggle in Po Town.

Dawn looked over at Ash and held his hand for comfort, realizing what he was thinking about.

Ash smiled, and tightly held her hand for support. "Anything is possible! Especially if I have Dawn with me!" he thought to himself.

"Like even when we first meet… All I could do was stare in horror as Nebby was getting attacked… and at Ather Paradise I couldn't do a thing besides wait for you two and the others to save me…" Lillie looked down with a small smile. "Whenever I'm in trouble, you two are there for me."

It was silent for a bit.

"…Dawn, Ash… What are you going to do once you become a champion and a top coordinator respectively?" Lillie asked.

Ash crossed his arms. "I… really never thought out that far ahead. I always just take things one step at a time."

Dawn nodded. "I also just go with the flow and do what I feel at the time."

Lillie smiled. "I guess that makes sense…" She looked out in the distance. "I think… I want to be a trainer as well. And travel along with you two."

Ash pumped his fist in the air. "Yeah, that sounds great! Maybe you can get a starter pokemon from Professor Oak or Kukui!"

Dawn smiled. "That sounds like a lot of fun, Lillie!"

The rain started to stop, and when it did the sun came out and revealed a huge, beautiful rainbow right in front of them.

They all ran out with a huge smile.

"I guess there are good omens sometimes, huh?" Lillie asked.

Ash and Dawn both agreed. They both stared at the beautiful rainbow as Dawn was relaxing against Ash and Ash had an arm around her shoulder. They then looked into each other's eyes and smiled.

Piplup and Pikachu happily ran out and played with each other.

Lillie decided to go out and enjoy the good weather too.

"This rainbow is nowhere as breathtaking as you are, babe…" Ash said.

Dawn blushed as she looked at Ash. "I think you're the most breathtaking thing here, as you definitely just took my breath away just now…"

Ash smiled at Dawn. "I'm really glad you are by side!"

"Me too…"

Ash turned to caress Dawn's cheek and she looked at him with a blush and smile.

They both then slowly moved to each other's faces and gave each other a passionate kiss.

They all continued on to go and find the flute, and after following a path for some time, the found a pedestal with a flute in it. They all ran up to it, and Lillie took the flute.

"Now we have both flutes. I'm not sure if it really will summon the legendary pokemon, but we can try now!" Lillie said.

Ash and Dawn both nodded.

"Thanks so much for coming this far with me, you two!"

"Don't mention it, Lillie," Dawn said.

"Yeah! We are happy to help!" Ash said.

Lillie smiled. "I'm so glad I'm happy to have met you two… We should head back to Seafolk Village."

Ash and Dawn both agreed, and they went back to the chief who took them back to the village. The chief then told them if they are going to play the flute, they must go to the alter that lies through the Vast Poni Canyon. They all thanked him for his help and left to go there as he wished them luck.

They walked through the Poni Wilds and walked through what Lillie said was Hapu's place, when they all saw that Team Skull made a blockade from the path they were heading.

Ash and Dawn stepped in front of Lillie to protect her.

"What do you goons want?" Ash yelled.

"I heard about you lot at Aether," one yelled. "Can you really save our boy Guzma?"

"Huh?" Ash replied, both him and Dawn giving them a confused look.

A girl grunt spoke up. "We'll cut you to the bone to make you talk!"

Ash put his fist up. "You don't scare me!"

She sent out a fomantis, but Ash sent out Araquanid and quickly took care of the battle.

"Okay, ouch…" she replied. She then ran off.

Another grunt took lead. "Whatever. We'll come at you with all our pokemon at once and save Guzma!"

Ash and Dawn sent out their pokemon and took out all of the grunts pokemon easily. After Ash won, he picked up Dawn with a grin on his face. "We are an unstoppable team, huh babe?!"

Dawn laughed as she held Ash close. "We sure are!"

The grunt crossed his arms. "Even though you beat me, I'm not giving up. We team Skull members are thick as anything!"

Ash put Dawn down and clenched his fist as he glared at him.

Dawn looked at Ash with a worried look. "What now?"

"Enough! No one wants to see a sore loser," a familiar voice in the distance said.

Everyone looked to the source of the voice and saw Plumeria who was sitting and watching them from afar with an annoyed look.

Plumeria came down and talked to the one grunt, and they all left. She then turned to Lillie. "You… Lillie right?"

Lillie stared at Plumeria with a serious look.

Plumeria put her hands on her hips. "You finally ready to do this, really?"

There was no response.

Plumeria turned away from them. "Yes, I treated you horribly. Even if it was on the president's orders, I shouldn't of done that. I know that even if I were to apologize to you know, you won't forgive me." She crossed her arms. "See, Guzma… really likes the president. Because she's the only adult that saw how strong he was."

Lillie frowned. "The president… My mother- she's selfish. She doesn't care if they want it or not, she lavishes on those she deems worthy." She gave a determined look. "But I have to tell her something, so I will save her. And I think I can save Guzma as well."

Plumeria turned to her. "Deep down… your kind of like the president, you know. In a different direction, though, but you have strength in your convictions." She closed her eyes. "If you can, bring Guzma back. I know there is no reason to help us… but no one can make up for what they've done if they're gone." She stared at Ash and Dawn. "And you two seem to be the real deal. You took on Skull by yourself and you took on Aether. Take care of our princess. Here, have this. My way of saying sorry, its Poisonium Z."

Ash took it and stared at it with a frown.

"I'm out of here." Plumeria then left.

"I suppose Team Skull isn't all bad," Lillie said.

Dawn and Ash didn't say anything.

"Well, we should head on. The Vast Poni Canyon lies ahead!"

Ash and Dawn followed behind Lillie.

"…What do you think, Ash?" Dawn asked with a concerned look.

Ash continued to stare at the z crystal Plumeria gave him. Guzma seemed really terrible to him and harmed his best friend, Pikachu. He looked up at Lillie, who not only wants to save her mother but Guzma, both who wronged her. "I guess we have no choice. We are going to bring back both Lusamine and Guzma."

Dawn smiled, not expecting him to say that. "Right."

Ash looked at Pikachu with a frown, as Pikachu looked at him with a confused look. He doesn't like Guzma in the slightest, but Plumeria has a point. And she seems pretty sincire in feeling guilty for what she has done and thinks if she wants to have a change of heart that maybe Lusamine and even Guzma can change for the better. Ash and Dawn walked on holding each other's hands when they ran into Hapu and her Mudsdale waiting for them.

"Did everything go well?" Hapu asked Lillie.

"Yes, it did!" Lillie replied.

"That's great!" Hapu then turned to Ash. "I'd like to see your battle skills that makes Lillie smile. As it is my grand trail!"

"Alright! Let's do this!"

Hapu smiled. "Great! Just don't go underestimating me, being a young new Kahuna. I will battle with everything I got!"

"Sounds great!"

It was determined to be a four vs four, and both stood across from each other ready to start the battle.
