Work is not something he's looking forward to today. He loves his job and takes it seriously, but today he'd much rather be at home or meeting up with Burnin. Why? Simply because he has to be there to make up for All Might's utter lack of teaching skill.

When he had originally taken his position as head of security, he had done so with the expectation that he'd have to teach as little as possible, seeing as he isn't, you know, a teacher. Oh sure, he still knows how to, Nezu had made him learn, and he's not against substituting or being an extra set of eyes to watch the kids, but really? Nezu had hired All Might without requiring him to learn how to teach, meaning Stygian will be stuck doing quite a bit of the man's job for him.

So Stygian is not only teaching the Foundational Heroics 101 class, he's also teaching their teacher how to do his fucking job. Fan-fucking-tastic.

Damn, he should stop by the teacher's lounge for some coffee.

Making his way into the room, he comes face to face with the source of his displeasure, All Might in his skinny form. It had been quite the shock learning that the Symbol of Peace had been so grievously injured, but looking back at the evidence it makes so much sense.

His short disappearance five years ago, his declining sightings and work times, his rushed state in battles and interviews, it all makes sense if you factor in the injury. The identity of the Villain who managed to match All Might is still an unknown, but based on the way the underground is shifting he's got a pretty decent clue of who it might be.

Brushing past All Might and over to the coffee maker, Stygian does his best to ignore the man, but that proves difficult when said man walks directly up to him with a proud smile on his face.

Stopping next to the Underground Hero, All Might greets him, "Good morning Stygian! I trust you're doing well?"

Stygian takes a sip of his coffee. A fresh pot had been waiting when he came over, and not just that, it's his favorite blend too. He'll have to thank Aizawa later.

He takes another sip before turning and addressing All Might, "I'd be doing much better if I could focus on doing my own job instead of someone else's."

The man flinches at the barb, unconsciously taking a step back, "err… I do apologize for my lack of experience, but I've been devoting much of my time to Heroics."

Stygian raises an eyebrow, "And what about your free time? You're active as a Hero for three hours a day, meaning even if you're assisting in investigations, you still have plenty of time to yourself. Why not use some of that time responsibly and prepare for your inevitable retirement as well as your imminent teaching position?"

All Might shrinks in on himself, "I-… I'm afraid I hadn't thought of that, my mind being focused mostly on Hero work…"

Letting out a tired sigh and taking another sip of coffee, Stygian gestures to the book shelf they keep in the lounge, "Middle shelf, over on the right. We have a book for beginner teachers that we keep as a refresher for new hires, though I suppose for you it's your introductory course. Read it, and do more research on your own time so that we don't have to keep doing this."

With a guilty look, Yagi nods and retrieves the book, taking a look at the first few pages as he returns.

Stygian nods, "Good, now hopefully some of those lessons stick. While we're on the topic of lessons, what were you planning on doing with the students today?"

All Might smiles, "I was hoping to run them through the indoor battle training today. It's best if they get started as quickly as possible so they can build up the skill and experience necessary to combat Villains in the modern world."

Stygian nods, "Not the worst idea, but there's a reason that's listed as a day three or four activity in our plans. We need to get them used to the mindset of Quirked combat, but drill the non-lethal concept into their heads. There's also the non-combat specialists, we'll have to ease them into it at a different rate so they can properly participate. Besides, some of the 1-A kids are pretty volatile, so I think it'd be best to save the actual combat for when we get a better idea of how to deal with their attitudes."

All Might raises an eyebrow, "Volatile? That seems a bit of a strong word to use in this case."

Stygian gives the man a look, "Bakugou Katsuki, a walking bomb with the temper of an angry Pomeranian. Izuku Midoriya, a nervous wreck who doesn't seem all too bothered by the fact he breaks his bones more often than the national average. Shoto Todoroki, someone who seems to want nothing to do with his classmates, actively shuns half of his Quirk, and had to grow up with Endeavor as a parent."

All Might holds a hand up, "Is Endeavor really that bad?"

Stygian looks utterly bewildered at the question, "Have you met the man? He hates people, is an ass to just about everybody including his die-hard fans, and has an ego the size of the USA's military budget."

All Might's jaw falls open. He'd heard Endeavor slander before, but no one had ever dared say something like that as far as he was aware, especially not in front of a Pro Hero. Before he can speak, the bell goes off and Stygian drains his coffee before leaving All Might by himself, stunned in the Teacher's Lounge.

A/N: Can you tell I hate Endeavor? I'm not being too subtle about it, right? Anyway, finally done with this chapter and ready for the next one. If I don't spend too much time on the lesson, we might even get to the date with Burnin. That said, I'll see you late. Bye.
