And here is Chapter 12. I have to admit, I have my doubts about this chapter. I hope I did well, but I understand if there's confusion which I'm hoping to clear up in later chapters as I don't want to spoil a lot.

But enough of that, let's get on with the chapter.

Chapter 12: The Mightiest Dragon Tamer

United World – Duel Colosseum

After Zarc was pulled into the void, the sky turned dark and red lightning shot out everywhere. Then, a large shadowy dragon appeared and it disbursed the clouds to reveal a very large and demonic dragon.

"Yes! This power!" Yusho shouted in a demonic tone. "The power of the four dragons…the power of the Adam Factors…I'm now a god!"

"Zarc…" Ray teared up as she looked at the dragon that was born out of her husband's demise.

"Find…Yuya…He's still…I believe…" Zarc's last words echoed in her head.

"Yuya…" Ray quickly ran away from the area and out of the colosseum. "Hang on, Yuya. Your mother is coming." Ray quickly hurried to the Duel School.

"Alright, Eve. It's time I hold up my end of the bargain." Yusho said. "I will revive your beloved Adam."

"Finally…" Eve smiled; she had waited a long time for this.

Yusho started gathering power in his wings but suddenly, the power dispersed and nothing happened. "Huh?" Yusho tried again but nothing happened. "It's not working? I thought you said this would work."

"That's impossible! If both of the factors were to unite, Adam would be brought back!" Eve was now frustrated.

"Did you really think it would be that easy?" Eve turned to see Genesis approaching her. "I had a feeling you two would plotting something. Now you messed up everything up."

"What are you talking about? We absorbed the dragons and the Adam Factor. Now we can start over again!" Yusho argued.

"You two weren't the ones that would reset the world." Genesis revealed. "Zarc was supposed to be the one to make it work."

"B-But you said that we would make a big contribution to the plan." Eve stuttered. "You said we had to make Zarc use the power of the Adam Factor by activating Astrograph Magician."

"But not by force, you simpleton!" Genesis barked. "If you force a fusion, you'll only end up creating destruction! Only a perfectly balanced fusion can create a reset of the world! But because you fools forced the fusion to happen, Zarc and the dragons are dying and the Adam Factor within Zarc will cease to exist!"

"I can fix this! We just have to undo the fusion!" Eve explained.

"And how exactly do you plan to undo the fusion?" Genesis asked. Eve was about to answer but she realized she didn't know how.

"Wait? So, you're saying I'm stuck like this forever?! This was not part of the deal!" Yusho growled.

"Open fire! Shoot to kill!"

Military vehicles appeared and started shooting at Yusho, making him angrier so he retaliated and started using his dragon body to destroy everything in his sight.

"You foolish humans and your dark desires…" Genesis disappeared, leaving Eve on her own.

Duel School

"Yuya! Yuya!" Ray called out to her son as she arrived at the ruins of the school. "Yuya, please answer me!"

Ray looked under pieces of rubble, even those that were supposed to be heavy that required more than three people to lift.

She then heard sniffling and she looked towards the destroyed playground to see Yuya on one of the swings that was still intact. "Yuya!" Ray ran to her son.

"Mom?" Yuya looked up and saw Ray quickly pick up him up and held him tightly in her arms.

"Oh, Yuya…" Ray kissed Yuya's cheeks. "I was so worried…"

"Mom…the school…" Yuya muttered.

"I saw it…I'm so sorry that this happened." Ray apologized.

"Where's Dad?" Yuya asked. Ray didn't say anything but just held Yuya closer to her.

From the side, present Yuya and Ray watched. "I wasn't sure what to tell you. I couldn't just flat out tell you what happened. But a part of me wanted to believe that your dad was still alive."

"Genesis said that Dad and the dragons were dying…but…the dragons are here so Dad did survive, right?" Yuya asked.

"Yes. Your Dad is okay." Ray answered.

"Where is he? Can I talk to him? Is he in my heart too?" Yuya looked around. "Dad! Dad! It's me, Yuya!" No answer came back. "Dad…where are you?"

"Please try to understand, Yuya." Ray pulled her son into her arms. "There's still more that I have to show you." Both Yuya and Ray then disappeared.

From behind a standing tree, Zarc walked out with his head down. "I'm sorry, Yuya. You need to wait a little while longer."

Xyz Dimension – Mountainous Region

Reiji and Jack look up at the tall mountain in front them. "According to Professor Arclight's research, the Academia base is located in the ruins on top of this mountain." Reiji looked.

"Temple Draghos…I can definitely feel the power of dragons coming from the top of this mountain." Jack rolled up his sleeve and looked at his Signer Mark.

"Looks like our only way up there is to climb." Reiji said. "Are you sure you can handle it?"

"Hmph. I have to very physical in order to endure long Riding Duels. This climb is nothing compared to my burning soul!" Jack smirked.

Halfway Up the Mountain

Jack panted as he and Reiji made it to small area. "How are you not tired?" Jack was sweaty and exhausted while Reiji simply took a little breather.

"Because I hydrated before we started." Reiji drank some water from his bottle.

"So, did I!" Jack argued as he pulled out some Red Demon's Cup Ramen Noodles and ate the whole cup.

Temple Draghos

Reiji and Jack managed to make it to the very top of the mountain where they saw the temple in sight. "You know for a base that was supposed to be ruins, this looks brand new." Jack said.

"Most likely Academia had modernized it." Reiji guessed. Just then they heard a lot of screams of pain from inside. The two of them ran into the temple and they saw numerous Academia soldiers in different coats lying on the floor, defeated.

"How sad." Reiji and Jack saw an old stout man with a long white beard and braided ponytail. He wore red and black ceremonial robe tied around his waist and a gray shirt. He also had dark green pants, sandals with white socks and had a brown, carved walking stick.

"Claiming that you are here to take back that which you stole from me and my friend in the first place without even putting up much a resistance is a complete disappointment." The old man tapped the ground with his staff and all of the Academia soldiers turned into red lights and disappeared.

The old man then saw Reiji and Jack. "Are you also from Academia?" The old man asked.

"No, we're not." Reiji answered. "We're Dimension Guardians."

"Dimension Guardians…" The old man looked at them, specifically Jack. "I feel it…you have a soul that compliments a familiar dragon…"

"Red Demon's is my soul. This is the proof of that." Jack showed his Signer Mark.

"Well, I'll be…" The old man said. "Allow me to introduce myself. I am Jinlong. I am the guardian of this temple."

"Which means you're the commander of this base." Reiji summarized.

"Oh, no. That would be my friend who is waiting for you in that there temple." Jinlong looked behind him. "I'll Duel you while your friend will face my partner." Jinlong pointed to Jack first and then Reiji.

"That's fine. Let's get started." Jack said.

"Hold it. There are some conditions first." Jinlong said. "If you win, the Number that belonged to this temple will be yours, but should you lose, your Red Demon's will be mine."

"Very well. I'll show you full power of my soul!" Jack declared.

"Now then, you may go inside." Jinlong opened the temple doors.

"Hey…" Jack spoke. "Don't make me be the one to tell Reira that he doesn't have a brother anymore."

"I'm not the same person I was…" Reiji fixed his glasses. "I'll prove that in winning my Duel." Reiji walked inside the temple and the door closed.

"Now, let us begin!" Jinlong threw his staff in the air and it changed into a Duel Disk and he activated it. Jack followed suit by activating his.

"Field Magic: Dimension Gates." Jack's Duel Disk created the gates around them.

"Duel!" Jack and Jinlong declared.

"Let us see if part of the Crimson Dragon can withstand a part of Numeron Dragon." Jinlong said.

"Numeron Dragon?" Jack questioned.

"My turn! Draw!" Jinlong drew his card. "I summon Mythic Tree Dragon (ATK: 100, LV: 4)!" Jinlong summoned an earth dragon. "And when I control an Earth-Attribute monster on the field, I can Special Summon this monster from my hand! Come forth! Mythic Water Dragon (ATK: 1000, LV: 8)!" A water dragon appeared.

"Now I activate the effect of Mythic Tree Dragon! When I have a Water-Attribute monster on my filed, it's Level can be doubled!" Mythic Tree Dragon's Level doubled.

Mythic Tree Dragon (LV: 4→8)

"Two Level 8 monsters…" Jack narrowed his eyes.

"Behold! I Overlay my Level 8 Mythic Tree Dragon and Mythic Water Dragon!" Mythic Tree Dragon turned into orange light and Mythic Water Dragon turned into blue light.

"Your roar becomes thunder! You glisten like lightning! Manifest before us, my golden dragon! Xyz Summon! Appear! Rank 8! Number 46: Ethereal Dragon Dragluon (ATK: 3000, RNK: 8, OVU: 2)!" A large white and gold dragon appeared with the number 46 on his wing.

"So, that's your dragon…" Jack looked at it.

"Yes, it is the strongest dragon." Jinlong boasted.

"Such strong words, but can you back them up!" Jack challenged.

"I can! I activate Dragluon's effect! If this is the only Dragon-type monster on my field, by using one Overlay Unit, I can Special Summon one Dragon-type monster from my hand!" Dragluon consumed the Overlay Unit it had.

Dragluon (OVU: 2→1)

"Come! Armed God Dragon - Protect Dragon (ATK: 2000, LV: 8)!" A smaller dragon appeared and Dragluon disappeared.

"The dragon disappeared?" Jack questioned.

"This is another one of Dragluon's monster effects! As long as I have another Dragon-type monster on my field, it cannot be targeted by attacks or effects! Next, I activate the Equip Magic: Dragon Shield and equip it to Protect Dragon!" Jinlong played another card and Protect Dragon was encased in a shield armor.

"The dragon equipped with this card cannot be destroyed by battle or card effects, also battle damage is negated! And when Protect Dragon is equipped with an Equip Magic, its Attack Points increase by 500!"

Protect Dragon (ATK: 2000→2500)

"Now I activate Protect Dragon's other effect! As long as this card is face-up on the field, Equip Magic Cards cannot be destroyed via Monster, Magic or Trap effects! I end my turn!" Jinlong finished.

"No matter how powerful the shield is, my burning soul will turn it into ash! My turn! Draw!" Jack drew his card. "First, I set one card!"

"Setting a card first?" Jinlong raised an eyebrow.

"When I have no monsters on my field, I can Special Summon Red Gargoyle (ATK: 1200, LV: 4) from my hand!" Jack summoned the gargoyle. "Next, I summon Red Resonator (ATK: 600, LV: 2)!" Jack summoned his resonator tuner.

"I activate Red Gargoyle's effect! When a Red monster is summoned or Special Summoned to my field, I can double that monster's Level! I double Red Resonator's Level!" Red Resonator got its Level changed.

Red Resonator (LV: 2→4)

"I'm Tuning my Level 4 Red Gargoyle with my now Level 4 Red Resonator!" Red Resonator clanged his tools and became four green rings and Red Gargoyle flew through them and became four stars.

"The heaven and earth shall tremble before the king's might. Let the power of the one and only supreme ruler be carved into your soul! Synchro Summon! The savage soul, Red Demon's Dragon Scarlight (ATK: 3000, LV: 8)!" Jack brought out his ace monster.

"So, that's your dragon." Jinlong looked at Red Demon's.

"Yeah, and now we're gonna break through your wall!" Jack declared.

"I wonder about that?" Jinlong smiled. "I activate Dragluon's other effect! It negates the effects of a Dragon-type monster on my opponent's field!" Dragluon created a circle around Red Demon's. "Now your dragon will lose its fangs!"

"Don't underestimate Red Demon's! Counter Trap: Red Jump! This card can be activated on the turn that it is set! When an effect targets a Red monster, that effect is negated and one Magic or Trap card on the opponent's field is banished! I banish, Dragon Shield!" Jinlong's card was banished.

"I activate Red Demon's Dragon Scarlight's effect! Once per turn, it can destroy all Special Summoned monsters on the field with equal or lower Attack Points than itself and for each one destroyed, it inflicts 500 points of damage! Absolute Power Flame!" Red Demon's punched the ground and created a burst of fire that destroyed Protect Dragon.

Jinlong LP: 4000→3500

"With Protect Dragon gone, I can see your Numbers." Jack said as Dragluon appeared back on the field. "I end my turn!" Jack finished his turn.

Jinlong LP: 3500, Hand: 2
Jack LP: 4000, Hand: 3

"Impressive. You managed to break down my shield. I give you a passing score." Jinlong praised.

"I don't need your praise." Jack said.

"Seriously…there are so many Dragon User bigots in this world." Jinlong shook his head. "My friend was the same way. You remind me of him in so many ways."

"I am no one else but me! Jack Atlas!" Jack declared.

"Yes, yes…but unfortunately, there is still one fortress for you to breach! My turn! Draw!" Jinlong drew his card.

"I activate Dragluon's effect! By using one Overlay Unit, I can Special Summon one Dragon-type monster from my hand! I Special Summon Soul-Eating God Dragon - Drain Dragon (ATK: 4000, LV: 8)!" Jinlong summoned another dragon.

"With another dragon on the field, Dragluon is unaffected by your cards!" Dragluon disappeared. "Drain Dragon's effect has it gain Attack Points equal to the amount of Life Points my opponent has!" Jinlong revealed.

"What?!" Jack gasped.

"You have 4000 Life Points, so Drain Dragon gains 4000 Attack Points!" Drain Dragon gained more power.

Drain Dragon (ATK: 4000→8000)

"When this monster is destroyed, the opposing player takes damage equal to half its Attack Points!" Jinlong revealed. "Now, Jack Atlas, what will you do?

"You're trying to diminish my burning soul? Unforgivable!" Jack roared.

Inside the Temple

Reiji walked inside the temple and instantly saw a young man waiting for him. "So, you have come. Son of the Professor."

"You know who I am?" Reiji asked.

"I keep tabs on those that are a threat to the Barian World. That includes people from other dimensions." Misael confirmed.

"The Barian World, then that means you must be a resident of that world." Reiji said.

"I'm not just a resident, I'm Misael, one of the Seven Barian Emperors. It is us that will guide the four dimensions in the right direction." Misael stood up. "We will also eliminate those that get in our way."

"Even if they are members of the Resistance?" Reiji questioned.

"They'll be given salvation in the Barian World. But you will not." Misael threw a cube in the air and it created a Sphere Field that trapped him and Reiji within.

"What is this?" Reiji looked around.

"Barian's Sphere Field. With this, I can fight you at my full power!" Misael roared and his appearance changed into his yellow skinned Barian form. "For the Barian World, I will eliminate the Akaba bloodline!"

"While I am not against you with your hatred against my family, I cannot allow you to selfishly determine the fates of the four dimensions! As a Dimension Guardian, I will protect them!" Reiji activated his Duel Disk and Misael followed.

"Field Magic: Dimension Gates." The gates appeared around Misael and Reiji.

"Duel!" Reiji and Misael declared.

"I will go first! My turn! Draw!" Reiji drew his card. "Using the Scale 2 DD Magical Savant Schrödinger and the Scale 8 DD Magical Savant Dirac, I set the Pendulum Scale!" Reiji set his scale and his two Pendulum Monsters appeared in columns of blue light.

"With this, I can simultaneously summon monsters from Levels 2 to 9! Grand power that shakes my very soul, arise within me and become a new light that rends the darkness. Pendulum Summon! Come before me, my monsters!" Two monsters appeared on the field. "DD Proud Chevalier (ATK: 2000, LV: 5, PS: 6)! And DD Pandora (ATK: 1700, LV: 5)!"

"Pendulum Summon…" Misael observed.

"I Overlay my Level 5 DD Proud Chevalier and DD Pandora!" Both of Reiji's monsters turned into purple lights and entered the spacelike portal.

"Hero of legends, with your profound justice, pierce through all things! Xyz Summon! Descend! Rank 5! DDD Marksman King – Tell (ATK: 2300, RNK: 5, OVU: 2)!" Reiji summoned an Xyz monster.

"I set two cards and end my turn!" Reiji finished his turn.

Reiji LP: 4000, Hand: 0
Misael LP: 4000, Hand: 5

"Looks like Nash was right. The Pendulum Summon is an annoying weapon." Misael commented.

"Nash?" Reiji asked.

"Nash is the leader of the Seven Barian Emperors. He's been collecting all kinds of info about the dimensions, including their summon methods. But when all seven of us gather together, not even the Pendulum Summon can stop us."

"Seven…that's been a repeating number." Reiji thought. "Seven Ruins…Seven Barian Emperors…is there a connection?"

"Now, let me show you, my power! My turn! Draw!" Misael drew his card. "I Special Summon this monster! Show yourself, Radius the Half-Moon Dragon (ATK: 1400, LV: 4)!" Misael summoned a dragon.

"This monster can be Special Summoned when there is an Xyz Monster on my opponent's field. Additionally, when it is successfully Special Summoned, its Level is doubled!" Radius's Level doubled.

Radius (LV: 4→8)

"Continuing, I summon Parsec the Interstellar Dragon (ATK: 800, LV: 8)! If I have a Level 8 monster on my side of the field, I can Normal Summon this monster without releasing!" Misael summoned another dragon.

"Two Level 8 monsters…" Reiji narrowed his eyes.

"I Overlay my Level 8 Radius the Half-Moon Dragon and Parsec the Interstellar Dragon!" Both of Misael's monsters turned into yellow lights and entered the spacelike portal.

"The roaring that pierces the universe! Reflect the distant past and revive from the root of the galaxy! Show yourself and guide me to victory! Xyz Summon! Come forth! Numbers 107: Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon (ATK: 3000, RNK: 8, OVU: 2)!" Misael summoned his monster.

"Galaxy-Eyes…like Kaito." Reiji remembered the name of Kaito's ace monster.

"Galaxy-Eyes, show this dimension traveler why you're the ultimate dragon! Battle! Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon, attack DDD Marksman King – Tell!" Tachyon Dragon unleashed its breath attack.

"I activate the Continuous Trap: Contract with the Valkyrie! During my opponent's turn, all Fiend-type monsters on my field gain 1000 Attack Points!" Reiji quickly used his set card and Tell gained power.

Marksman King – Tell (ATK: 2300→3300)

"Counterattack, Tell! Forbidden Break Shot!" Tell fired a shot from its gun and it pierced through Tachyon Dragon's attack and damaged Misael.

Misael LP: 4000→3700

"Not bad…but my attack isn't over yet." Misael smirked.

"What?" Reiji questioned.

"I activate Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon's Monster Effect! Once per turn, when all battles are finished, by using one Overlay Unit, it negates the effects of all monsters on the field except for Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon, and their Attack and Defense Points return to normal! Tachyon Transmigration!" Tachyon Dragon consumed the Overlay Unit and started changing the field and making Marksman King – Tell lose power.

Tachyon Dragon (OVU: 2→1)
Marksman Kin – Tell (ATK: 3300→2300)

"He got around my Trap." Reiji fixed his glasses.

"Not yet! During this turn, for each card that activated its effect during battle, Tachyon Dragon will gain 1000 Attack Points! Reflect through space and time to be reborn! Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon!" Tachyon Dragon roared as it gained power.

Tachyon Dragon (ATK: 3000→4000)

"When I use this effect during my turn, Tachyon Dragon is allowed a second attack!" Misael smiled.

"So, it has the power to go back in time and pick the future best suited for it." Reiji observed.

"Go! Tachyon Dragon! Tachyon Spiral of Destruction!" Tachyon Dragon unleashed its attack on Marksman King – Tell.

"I activate DD Magical Savant Schrödinger's Pendulum Effect! If a monster battles, during the damage calculation, I can reduce the Battle Damage to 0 and Special Summon this card from the Pendulum Zone! Come! Schrodinger (DEF: 2400, LV: 6, PS: 2)!" Schrodinger appeared and protected Reiji from taking damage but Marksman King - Tell was destroyed.

"Tch. Damn those Pendulum Cards…" Misael cursed. "Of course, you pathetic humans are all nothing but cowards, so you had to create something only you could use."

"I may have created these Pendulum Cards…but it would've been impossible without Yuya's data." Reiji thought. "Thank you, Yuya."

"Even if you call it cowardly, we will do whatever it takes to survive! You're not the only ones fighting to protect something important to you! Quick-Play Magic: Rank-Up Magic – King's Ascension!" Reiji activated his set card.

"When a DDD Xyz Monster is destroyed, this card Special Summons that monster back to my field and then use it as Xyz Material to Xyz Summon a DDD Xyz Monster that is three ranks higher!" Reiji revealed. Marksman King – Tell returned to the field before soaring into the sky.

"What?! You have Rank-Up?!" Misael gasped.

"When two suns rise, the horizon of a new world shall open up! Xyz Summon! Appear and come forth, Rank 8! DDD Twin Dawn King Kali Yuga (ATK: 3500, RNK: 8, OVU: 1)!" Reiji summoned his more powerful King Xyz Monster.

"When Kali Yuga is Special Summoned, the effects of all face-up cards on the field are negated and all cards effects that are activated this turn are also negated until the end of this turn!" Reiji revealed. This made Tachyon Dragon lose its powerup.

Tachyon Dragon (ATK: 4000→3000)

"Hmph. In that case, I'll set…" Misael was gonna set.

"Not yet!" Reiji shouted, getting Misael's attention. "King's Ascension's effect forces all Special Summoned monsters on the opponent's field to battle the Ranked-Up Xyz Monster and the battle damage is doubled!"

"What?!" Misael gasped.

"Tachyon Dragon must attack Kali Yuga!" Reiji said. Tachyon Dragon charged towards Kali Yuga. "Retaliate! Kali Yuga! Twin Break Shot!" Kali Yuga counterattacked and destroyed Tachyon Dragon and sending Misael flying back.

Misael LP: 3700→2700

"Damn you…I set one card and end my turn." Misael finished.

"At the End Phase of the opponent's turn, I take 1000 points of damage due to King Ascension's effect." Reiji grunted as he took damage from his card's effect.

Reiji LP: 4000→3000

"You might be the strongest Dragon Tamer, but the Different Dimension Demon King's will not back down and neither will I!" Reiji shouted.

"Damn human…" Misael cursed.

Heartland – Academia Base

"Not good, not good, not good." A short, thin man with red-brown hair in a bowl cut, and wearing a high class uniform looked at his pocket watch. "They're very late. What is keeping them? And not only that, our bases have been…"

"Noro!" Edo entered the room.

"Commander!" Noro saluted. "How did the meeting go with Kaiser? Is he a traitor?"

"No…besides, we have more important things to worry about." Edo answered. "What were you muttering to yourself about?"

"Oh yes. You see, sir. The Professor has sent the Tyler Sisters here to assist in our mission. But they have yet to arrive. And our excavation team…" Noro said.

"The team sent to find the secret entrance into the Resistance's base?" Edo asked.

"Yes. They were all wiped out." Noro revealed.

"All of them were wiped out? By who?" Edo asked.

"It was…one of the prisoners we sent to the Doctor." Noro answered. "He said and I quote, "All this for the Barian World."

"Tch. I knew it was a bad idea to send prisoners to the Doctor. We should've turned them into cards instead of making them serve us." Edo cursed.

United World – Ryuga Residence

Yuya was sleeping in his room as Ray watched over him. "Zarc…what do I do? I want all three of us to be together."

Ray's Duel Disk then went off and she looked at it and got mail with two familiar letters on there. She opened the mail and read it before her eyes widened. "I'll be right back. I'm gonna save your father." Ray kissed Yuya on the forehead before leaving.

United World – Kaiba Corporation

Ray arrived at the still intact building of Kaiba Corporation. "I've been waiting for you." Ray turned to see Seto Kaiba waiting for her.

"Seto…I'm glad you're okay." Ray smiled.

"My technology is strong enough to withstand anything that stupid Yusho can dish out, even if he has become a monster." Kaiba said. "Now, shall we get down to business."

"Yes. I want my husband back. You have the cards to do that." Ray said.

"Follow me." Kaiba gestured Ray inside the building.

"Kaiba was a resident of the United World?!" Yuya was surprised.

"Yes. Some residents of the United World were able to survive when I split the dimensions." Ray explained.

"To tell you the truth, the success rate of these cards stopping that demon is 50%." Kaiba explained. "That monster is powered by the negative emotions that humans and Duel Monsters possess. Since Yusho forced the fusion between himself, Zarc and the four dragons, Yusho is in control of that beast while his hatred is consuming Zarc and the four dragons."

"So, that monster is nothing more than a monument of hatred." Ray summarized.

"The best way to counter something with that much negative energy is to create cards of positive energy. Cards that are created out of things that have survived longer than humans." Kaiba explained.

Kaiba and Ray entered a lab where there were many scientists studying plants, animals, weather and outer space. "Flowers that grow once more no matter the season or disasters. Animals that endure winter to reach spring. Weathers that can generate power to cities. And the pure light of the stars to see through the darkest abyss. These have been around since the beginning of time."

"Pure Natural Energy. You plan to use the power of nature to combat Yusho's negative energy of humans." Ray realized. "But can you really harness its power."

"I already have…" Kaiba snapped his fingers and a scientist brought Kaiba a briefcase. Kaiba opened it to reveal four cards. "With the power of the flowers and the earth, Melodious Flower Dragon. The power to guide all animals, Lyrical Eagle Dragon. The power to control the weather to its desires, Wind Witch – Cyclone Dragon. And finally, with the power of the stars beyond the Earth, Moonlight Dancer Dragon. The Four Nature Dragons to purify the Four Ultimate Dragons from the darkness of humans."

"The Four Nature Dragons…so if I use these cards, I can save Zarc and the dragons?" Ray asked.

"It's not the simple." Kaiba admitted. "While the dragons may be able to purify the demon, it won't undo the fusion between them. If you want to undo the fusion, you will need the four cards that your father is creating."

"My dad is creating cards too?" Ray asked.

"Yes, he had the same idea as me and is creating four cards of nature too and he plans to use them against that demon dragon." Kaiba explained. "But those cards are too powerful for anyone to use. It'll spread throughout the entire world and split it into four. And whoever uses those cards, user and the target will…"

"No…" Ray looked down. She wanted to save Zarc and go back home to Yuya. She wanted to be a family again. "Is there…really no other way?" Kaiba didn't answer.

United World – Ryuga Residence

Ray looked at her sleeping child as he held his hugged the Odd-Eyes toy he had since he was a baby. Ray smiled and lovingly stroked her hand against Yuya's cheek.

"Yuya…I love you so much…and your dad loves you so much…" Ray whispered. "The world is very scary, but I know you'll get through it. You're gonna make so many friends and you'll be a Duelist stronger than your father and me. I only wish…I could've seen you grow up."

Ray kissed Yuya on the forehead and then walked out for the last time. Unknown to her, a tear fell down Yuya's face even though he was asleep.

United World – Duel Colosseum

Ray successfully stole the cards from her father Leo and faced the demonic dragon. "Nature Dragons…hear my call and purify this demon!" Ray summoned the dragons and the four of them attacked the demonic dragon with pure energy, greatly weakening it.

"Wh-What is this?!" Yu-Yusho grunted.

"Ray, stop! If you do that!" Leo shouted.

Ray then played the Four Nature Cards her father created and four familiar bracelets appeared on her arm and Yusho roared as he felt his power getting stripped from him.

"Stop!" Eve ran towards Ray and made contact with her just as a bright light engulfed the entire United World.

Standard Dimension – Maiami City

Yuya woke up and he found himself in a park. Kids were playing and parents were watching them.

"Hello?" Yuya asked. He was then bumped into someone.

"Hey, watch where you're going kid! Didn't your parents teach you manners?" The man walked off.

"My parents…who…who are my parents?" Yuya wondered.

"Higher Daddy! Higher!"

"Can I have one Mom, please?"

Yuya looked at the children being with their parents and he felt sadness in his heart. He looked down and started crying. He was alone and had nowhere to go.

A shadow then loomed over him and he looked up to see Samejima with a gentle smile and he held out his hand.

Yuya's Mind

"Samejima found me and I became a Dragon Soldier with Yuto, Yugo and Yuri." Yuya remembered the rest. "We would help everyone in the Fusion Dimension before Leo Akaba hunted us down."

"But Mom, Kaiba said that the one who used the Four Cards would not survive. But you're here. How?" Yuya asked.

"Actually…" Ray was gonna explain until the both of them heard noise. "Looks like something is going on out there. Don't worry, I'll still be here."

"Okay, I'll be back." Yuya disappeared.

Yuya's Mind – Dark Abyss

Ray appeared in the dark abyss, where Zarc was with the draconic eyes. "I showed Yuya what happened." Ray explained.

"I know…I saw…" Zarc admitted.

Ray looked at the draconic eyes and smiled at it. "Thank you. It was thanks to you that we were able to see our son."

"Seeing the love that you two showed for your son was more than enough of a reason to seal your souls into the bracelets and the four dragons." The draconic voice answered.

"Can I ask you something?" Zarc asked. "My soul was split into four and sealed within my dragons and Ray's soul was sealed within each of the bracelets. But Yuya wasn't split into four, so why does he have counterparts that look like him? And these girls, why do they have the same face?

"First, let me show you my true form." The draconic eyes changed into human eyes and stepping into view was a tall dark-skinned young man. "My name is Adam."

"Wait…you're the Adam! The one that my family was entrusted with your power to keep peace to the world?" Zarc asked.

"Yes, and your family has done a great job in making sure that power was not used. Though, I can't say the same for the Sakakis. They were good at first, but I guess it's true what they say, power can change people." Adam shook his head.

"But…they said you died…" Zarc said.

"My body perished, but not my soul. My soul…is the pieces of the Adam Factor that was blessed within the two families. I could still see and hear what was happening and when Eve and Yusho tried to reset the world, I knew I couldn't stand by and let that happen." Adam said. "So, when Ray used the Four Nature Cards to split the world, I let one piece of the Adam Factor latch to the nearest purest heart it could find and that was your son, Yuya."

"But what about the other three parts?" Zarc asked.

"Did you forget? You and the dragons weren't the only ones that were fused together." Adam reminded Zarc and this made Zarc's eyes widen.

"But…shouldn't those counterparts look like him then? Why did they look like my son?" Zarc asked.

"Yusho was all about magic and messing with reality." Adam stated. "Creating fake memories and illusions are his specialty."

"What about the girls?" Ray asked.

"It wasn't just the Adam Factor that created paradise the first time. There was another factor that played a part in it. Remember the story of the first two humans of paradise, Adam and…" Adam gestured to Ray to finish.

"Eve…" Ray realized. "She touched just as I activated the cards."

"While she wasn't split into four, the Eve Factor was." Adam said.

"Wait…so you're telling me that…" Zarc realized what Adam meant.

"Yes…Yuto, Yugo and Yuri are the counterparts of Yusho Sakaki, while Yuzu Hiiragi, Ruri Kurosaki, Rin Hogan and Serena Andersen are the four pieces of the Eve Factor." Adam revealed.

And done. Man, these chapters are getting harder and harder and I don't want to let any of you guys down or make it too confusing. I'm hope I'm doing okay with my explanation with how the United World was split, but I'll let you be the judge of that.
