Hi!
Sorry this chapter took so long to put out. I have rewritten this chapter four times since I didn't like how it would turn out.
So with that said I have already scraped three of my ideas about how the story would continue until I finally decided on the one I'm currently going with which I think has the most potential.
If anyone wants to know the ideas I scraped feel free to PM me about it and I'll explain the main premise for them.
Anyway, besides that now I should be able to write this a lot faster.
As for the review Zabaniya left, I totally agree with them and was gonna change that with this chapter. I honestly was glad someone else other than me pointed that out since I had already started my idea about how the story would go with this chapter and i just couldn't implement the changes earlier due to them seeming forced so I had to wait until Osial's resurrection in order to not create plot holes more than I probably already have.

Chapter 9:Plea for help
"Well might as well go see this battle. It should entertain me for a while" right as Naruto said that he disappeared into a swirl.
When Naruto reappeared again, he looked around. "Kamui dimension. Interesting, someone seems to be trying to block my space-time manipulation, or at least mess it up for me." he mused out loud.
"Someone able to stop me from going to my location but not strong enough to stop me from going into a pocket dimension. I wonder how long they can keep this up." said Naruto as he started pouring more power into his Rinnegan, overpowering his Kamui.
The space around his eye started to swirl more fiercely than usually, and yet it didn't seem to be dragging him in.
After about five seconds Naruto cut the power going to his eye seeing that it was getting him nowhere. '*sigh* I truly hate this technique, it brings back bad memories I'd rather forget.'
Naruto thought as his Rinnegan started to bleed and in front of him a single slash through the air appeared, he continued to put even more power into the Rinnegan which gained a second line of blood.
The slash seemed to vibrate for a bit as it was struggling to keep something from coming out, but after a second or two it stopped and expanded into black squares that formed into a portal.
Wiping the blood from his eye Naruto said out loud, "Hmm? Impressive, they managed to keep Amenominaka from intruding into space-time immediately."
Naruto walked through the portal to the other side. As he got out, he immediately noticed the place around him. 'Changing the destination of my portal. Who is able to manage that after keeping my Kamui closed.'
Naruto looked around to see that he was standing on water that seemed to never end. Above him the sky was a clear blue color with hardly any clouds, the sun shining bright, creating a reflection on the clear water below.
*pant**pant*
Hearing that Naruto turned his head to the left seeing a figure breathing hard barely able to stand. The peculiar thing about this was that the few clouds that were in the sky gathered around them, hiding them from view.
As the figure fell to its knees, not being able to stand anymore, Naruto finally spoke. "If I were to guess I'd say that you were the one keeping me from traversing space-time. Though it seems to have taken quite a bit out of you."
"Hahahaha. You're indeed right." said the figure in a distorted tired voice, "I thought after the second attempt you would not try again seeing as the technique, while stronger, was still the same as the first one. Who would have guessed you have a technique that I have no hope in stopping."
"Who are you? And why are you interfering with my powers? First stopping them and then changing my destination." asked Naruto, his voice full of irritation. "I'm not too keen on people messing with my life."
As he said that the figure, while still sitting, straightened before answering, "My identity is of no importance to you. The only thing you need to know is that I'm the one who keeps the timeline in check, meaning I have to deal with all those who seek to destroy it."
Naruto narrowed his eyes at that. "That still doesn't answer my question.".
The figure just looked at him, "I have stopped you in order to prevent a change in the timeline. I can't allow the flow of events to change from interference by outside influence." said the figure, its voice now angry and determined.
Naruto chuckled out loud at that before saying, "Well, if your whole purpose is to prevent changes by outside influence, then you've already failed." The figure didn't say anything to that so Naruto continued. "The moment I set foot in this dimension you had already failed. My mere presence is enough to cause a diversion in the flow of things."
The figure just sat there as if in thought over what the blond had said. It didn't take into account the number of changes one person can bring in one month, but now thinking about it would seem that the timeline that was before has no saving.
"Well if that is all I shall be taking my leave, I've spent more time here than I wanted to anyway." said Naruto preparing to use Amenominaka again.
The figure watched as he turned to leave, before slowly getting up to its feet again. "You will not interfere with the events of this world anymo-"
"Or you'll do what?" Naruto interrupted it, slowly turning his head in its direction, his Rinnegan pulsing allowing the pressure of Naruto's chakra to fall onto the figure, bringing it back down to its knees again.
The figure, not being able to get back up again, just watched as another portal opened up in-front of Naruto as he started to walk towards it. "I thought so." were Naruto's final words before he stepped into the portal.
"You may be getting away this time. But mark my words when I say you won't escape me forever, I shall bring you down one way or another." Naruto heard the entity say before the portal closed behind him.
- In Sumeru right as Naruto used Kamui at the golden house -
A girl floating inside a green barrier opened her eyes.
The girl wore a white one-piece dress with green shoulder plates. She had white hair with green tips tied into a ponytail on the left side of her head by a green head piece that looked like leaves.
This child was Buer, also known as Lesser Lord Kusanali, the current Dendro Archon.
"The presence disappeared." she said to herself. "How can someone disappear from the senses of Irminsul? Everything is connected to it."
For a while now through her connection to Irminsul she had felt the presence of an entity with so much power that made the Archons look like ordinary people. The power stood out to her senses no matter how much she had tried to push it at the back of her mind.
She had even tried to connect with them, but it was like they were simply resisting her powers passively. Be it when they were awake blocking her thoughts or sleeping and stopping her from invading their dreams.
When she saw that nothing was working Buer knew that she needed to get in contact with him if she wanted to have any chance of stopping the Akademiya before their plans came to fruition.
She kept trying to find its presence for over 10 minutes using her connection to the world tree, and yet to no avail.
"It seems I have to find another way to stop the sages." she said with a depressed voice. Just as she was about to go back to observing the people of Sumeru from her prison, she felt it again.
The Irminsul felt a giant wave of energy flow from atop of Liyue and not a second later that presence made itself known again. The power in her mind glowing like a giant sun in comparison to candles being the other powers she could feel.
"I will leave this message for you shall you choose to accept my voice. 'Warrior from another world, I beg of you to help me save my people and land from the ones who have imprisoned me. If you choose to accept my request, just find the source of this message.' "
"I shall wait for you when you arrive in Sumeru. Seeing as my power is not able to reach you from afar if you don't hear my call." Buer said, closing her eyes again hoping that they'll be there before the sages completed their plan.
- Back with Naruto -
When Naruto walked out of his portal, he saw that the fight with Osial was already underway. He stood above the Jade Chamber observing the people on it that were fighting against the water monster.
"Hmmm? So they're using weapons created by Ningguang and powered by the Adepti. Though there seems to have been interference from the Fatui judging by the bodies." observed Naruto from his spot deciding to not get involved for the moment so he hid his presence in case there was another sensor like Xiao around.
"The interlopers are no more, now we may commit ourselves fully." Naruto heard the deer Adeptus say as the final Fatui was killed by a purple haired girl.
Naruto was impressed with the power that the Adepti seem to be pouring into the weapons. As they did so the energy from all the weapons merged together in the middle forming a big wave of yellow energy that they sent towards the god, hitting one of its heads in a giant explosion.
"A powerful attack indeed, though I doubt that it was enough to stop the monster from attacking them." mused Naruto. His point is proven not a second later when the three heads of Osial gather together, opening their mouths and gathering a large amount of energy.
Naruto watched as the god also formed a beam of energy but instead fired it towards the sky. "Hmm, I wonder how they're gonna deal with this attack." said Naruto as he saw smaller balls of energy falling like rain from the sky onto the Jade Chamber.
He watched as the attacks hit the platform the weapons were on, destroying the weapons and making the platform crack with the first few hits before shattering it with the remaining ones.
The people that had fought the Fatui were still standing on the platform when it shattered thus making them fall down towards the ocean. Luckily for them the Adepti present caught them before they hit the water and carried them to the Jade Chamber.
"The Guizhong Ballista is destroyed. Without its covering fire, retaliation shall be difficult." said the Crane Adepti known as Claud Retainer.
But before anyone else could say something they all turned when they felt Osial preparing another beam but this time animed directly at the Jade Chamber. "Well, it seems like it's time to make my entrance." said Naruto after seeing that.
"Everyone brace yourselves!" yelled out Ningguang pouring all of her energy into a shield around her and the other humans. The Adepti seeing this also provided their power to re-enforce the shield.
Just as the attack was about to reach the Jade Chamber, it was suddenly split in five different ways as if it hit a huge obstacle on the way. As the attack died down all present could see a silhouette floating in front of them.
Everyone just stared at the person who was now floating towards them with wide eyes. "What, do I get no thanks for just saving you all." said Naruto with a small chuckle at seeing their faces.
"Naruto Uzumaki, so you were here all along." said Xiao, getting confused looks from everyone besides Ningguan who already knew him.
"Conqueror of Demons, do you know who this man is?" asked Cloud Retainer.
Xiao just nodded but didn't say anything else. "Oh, where are my manners!? My name is Naruto Uzumaki, and I'm just a humble traveler." said Naruto with a small bow directed at those present who didn't know him.
Ningguang narrowed her eyes at him, "What are you doing here?" she asked in a suspicious voice.
"Me? I just happened to be passing by when I saw that you were having a small problem with the fish in the area and thought why not land my assistance seeing as I used to fish a lot when I was a kid." said Naruto in a nonchalant way.
"Now is not the time for idle chit-chat, we have a serious problem here now that the Ballista are destroyed." said Mountain Shaper in an annoyed voice.
"Buuu! You're no fun." said Naruto in a childish voice, "Well, might as well get this over with." he said as he started floating again, having landed earlier.
"Well gotta thank Madara for this. The guy was dumb as fuck letting Zetsu manipulate him, but he definitely was strong." said Naruto out loud as four ethereal glowing arms formed from his back.
Now all six of Naruto's arms formed pairs and went into three different hand seals. His Rinnegan bleeding profusely Naruto spoke Tengai Shinsei(Shattered Heaven) doing so his extra arms disappeared into light particles.
Everyone watched in anticipation, waiting to see what the blond had planned when he created the extra arms. But after he spoke his arms disappeared and nothing happened. "What was the poi-" Ningguang started to say but was interrupted when everyone heard a distinct noise coming from the sky.
No sooner than the noise was made did everyone see a meteor almost the size of the Jade Chamber pierce the clouds and fall towards Osial. *BOOOM* When the meteor hit there was a huge explosion, and yet even after that Osial was still able to get up, the head lost in the attack slowly but surely regenerating.
"Not even that could stop it. Is this the power all gods had during the Archon war?" asked Keqing, almost losing hope that they would win. "Impressive, being able to survive that. I'm thoroughly impressed." Everyone turned to Naruto when he said that as if he was expecting Osial to survive.
"Let's see what you're gonna do now." As Naruto finished those words the clouds were blown away as four more meteors even bigger than the first one came raining down upon Osial.
*BOOOOOOOOM*
The explosion caused now made the previous one seem like a small firework. Everyone on the Jade Chamber had put in a lot of effort just to not fall off when the shockwave reached them.
"Shattered Heaven indeed." said Xiao after everything calmed down. The Ocean now having a deep crater the size of the Chasm on its floor.

Well, that was the end of this chapter after four tries.
I still think I could have done better but I wanna keep the big reveals for later on(probably next chapter).
Now some notes. I'm not gonna say who or what the timeline protector is for now. But I will say that Nahida is not going to be in child form, as I think having spent 500 years observing people even while sealed would have been enough for her to at least regain her aged form even without her memories.
Liyue is going to last for another two or three chapters so I can dive deeper into its lore and then we will have Inazuma with a twist.
