Hey guys, Kurama here with a brand new fic that's focused on an OC- self-insert in the world of Pokémon, although his journey will be different from others.

Summary: A shut-in reincarnates himself in the world of Pokémon. Watch as his journey begins.

-A week later-

"Okay, I'm all set to go to the next gym, which is in Cyllage City."I mutter to myself as I walk to Lumiose City in order to be officially registered under Professor Sycamore so that my Pokémon can be sent to his lab instead of the Pokémon Center.

It shouldn't take me too long to get there, considering the fact that I'm travelling all alone, meaning that I don't have to be held bacl the presence of other people.

As I reach the city that was heavily inspired by Paris, I then realize that I don't have that much money, which is a big problem since that means I won't be able to stock up on some Pokéballs or Potions like I originally wanted before heading to Cyllage City.

Fuck it, I guess I'll ask Sycamore the best way to earn some money.

I also want to train my battle skills as well so I'll get signed up at the Battle Chateau, which will hopefully improve my battling skills.

I finally reach the Professor's lab and head inside, getting a bit fearful since once I step inside the building, Sycamore approaches me with a random Garchomp near him.

From the looks he's now giving me, it looks like he's been expecting for quite some time now.

"Ah, you must be the trainer Nathan Pendragon. I've been expecting you. Please, follow me."He says as I do exactly what he says, not seeing anything with giving the man the benefit of the doubt.

We reach his office and he motions me to step inside as he gives me a Pokéball and a Super Rod, alongisde some Great Balls and Dive Balls.

"I-I don't understand. Why are you giving this to me? And what's in that Pokéball?"I ask him.

"Because you are now a registered Pokémon Trainer from the Kalos as a sort of apology from me since I didn't expect any new trainers apart from Calem, Serena and Shauna. The Pokémon is a Bulbasaur, a rather underrated Pokémon that can be very dangerous if you give it the attention it desperately needs. From now on, your Pokémon will appear in my lab. I expect great things from you, mister Pendragon so do not disappoint me. Adieu!"Sycamore explains as I give him a genuine smile and leave the lab with a smile on my face as I can't believe that I've got a Bulbasaur just like that abd the best part about this is I even got his Mega Stone so it looks like training him has become a top priority.

My next destination will be the Battle Chateau since I want to get registered so I can train there from times to times.

I haul a taxi that drives me all the way to Route 7, the location of the Battle Chateau.

I pay the driver the money and head inside the building, where I'm greeted by both a butler and a maid.

"Bonjour and welcome to the Battle Chateau! May I ask what is the reason for your visit?"The butler asks.

"I'm here to register so that I can become a Grand Duke."I say to him.

"I see. You will start out as a Viscount and the way for someone to rank up is via points that will be registered to your Pokédex. Unfortunately, there aren't any challengers today so you won't be to battle against anyone but this right here will allow you to come back and challenge whoever you want. Au revoir Monsieur!"The butler says as I bid him farewell and leave the small castle with a look of determination.

Once I'm done here, I walk inside of a cave and find a couple of Pokémon like a Gible, a Zubat, a Trapinch, a Dwebble, an Onix and a Geodude.

Happy with the captures that I got, I exit the cave and find myself in Cyllage City, the place where I can get my next gym but first, I'm gonna go catch some Pokémon vecause I'm gonna need some variety if I'm to defeat Grant, who has a Tyrunt and a Amaura, the two fossil Polémon of Kalos.

I go to the beach then use the Good Rod to catch a Gyarados, a Feebas, a Goldeen, a Skrelp, a Surskit, two Poliwags and an Horsea.

Satisfied with my captures, I then go to an hotel that's near the Pokémon center and trade my Gyarados for an Magikarp and receive an Eevee from a lady that's been looking to give her away.

I go to the Pokémon center and heal my team as I then leave the city to go catch a ton of Pokémon since I feel like that's the best thing I can do for now.

I manage to capture seven Eevees, a Clefable, a Jigglypuff, a Spritzee, a Pikachu, a male and female Nidoran, a Togepi, a Riolu, a Mienfoo, a Slakoth, a Starly, a Machop, a Mankey and an Honedge, earning me a smirk as my official for Kalos is now complete so now, I'm gonna train them to deal with Grant's Pokémon.

I grab all of my Pokémon that can evolve by happiness and grab a couple of Sootge bells that I bought in the Pokémart earlier and run alongside them tp boost their happiness while Gible, Froakie and Bulbasaur all fight against random Pokémon.

By the time I stop running, Budew evolved all the way to a Roserade, Buneary into a Lopunny, Togepi into a Togetic, Riolu into a Lucario and so on but the biggest flex I think is the fact that Zubat managed to evolve all the way into a Crobat, getting an arrogant smile as my dream of becoming the Kalos champion is now within my reach.

Froakie, Bulbasaur and Gible all evolve into their second forms while I evolve some of my Eevees in order to put more numbers on my Pokédex.

I then go back to the city and enter the gym with a smile on my face as I use Fearow to fly me to the top so I can battle Grant and get my second gym badge.

"Well, well, looks like I got a challenger today. My name is Grant and I specialize in using rock-type Pokémon. I also enjoy rock-climbing, a hobby that may or may not be enjoyed by other people."Grant says as I throw him a shrug, more interested in the battle than him talking.

The referee soon steps in.

"This will be a three on three battle between Grant, the gym leader and Nathan Pendragon, the challenger. The battle ends when all three Pokémon are KO'ed. Z-Moves, Dynamaxing, Mega Evolution, Terralization and Held Items are not allowed. Substitution moves such as U-Turn or Volt Switch are also not allowed. Furthermore, only the challenger is allowed substitution between his three Pokémon. Now then, select your first Pokémon!"He says as we both take out a Pokéball out of our belts and adopt a look of determination.

"Alrighty then, Tyrunt, battle time!"Grant shouts as he then sends out a Tyrunt with a menacing look on its face as I shake my head off and get in my zone.

"Azumarill, I choose you!" I yell as I copy one of Ash's throws, specifically the one from the Kalos League and send out my big blue mouse to battle the dinosaur

"Challenger, you have the first move! Let the battle begin!"The referee shout as the battle officially begins.

"Azumarill, use Bubble Beam then Dazzling Gleam!" I shout as Azumarill fires off a ton of bubbles and tiny glowing glass shards as Tyrunt then falls and has swirls in its eyes, putting me in the lead of this battle.

"The winner is Azumarill! Gym leader, select your next Pokémon."The referee says as Grant takes out another Pokéball out of his belt.

"Amaura, time for you to shine!"She shouts as he lets out a menacing Amaura out of its capsule.

"Before we continue the battle, trainer, are you switching Pokémon or are you keeping your Azumarillin battle?"He asks as I look at Azumarill and she throws a nod as a confirmation of her wanting to finish this fight so I shake my head at the referee.

"Gym leader Grant, you have the first move. Let the battle begin!"He says as the screen lights up and shows both our Pokémon's HP and it's level.

"Amaura, use Ice Beam and Meteor Beam now!" Grants commands as the Amaura fires off the two attacks in rapid succession, making me smile as Azumarill swiftly dodges the incoming moves with pure elegance.

"Azumarill, finish this by using our newest move: Focus Blast!"I roar out as the big blue mouse fires off a huge ball at the blue-colored fossil and the attack hits it head on, creating a small explosion.

When the smoke clears out, only my Pokémon is left standing.

"Amaura is unable to battle! The winner of this gym challenge is Nathan Pendragon!"The ref announces as I throw my head back and scream Azumarill dances around happily.

"That was a good match, I present you with the Cliff Badge as well as the TM39, which contains Rock Tomb, an offensive move that can also decrease the speed of the opposing Pokémon. Good luck in your future endeavours and may we meet again!"Grant says as I thank him then recall Azumarill and leave the gym with the help of Fearow, happy to gained another gym badge.

I finally the room that I rented for tonight and take a look on my phone, hoping to see anything that might be interesting.

After a couple of minutes of doing nothing, I put my phone on the table counter then put my Pokéballs in my backpack and put it next to me.

I lay on my bed and soon enough, I drift off to sleep, entering the realm of dreams.
