I can't believe it's been a year since I posted this story, I never imagined I'd get this far with it.
Then enjoy the last chapter.

The sun is shining like Derek hasn't seen it in a long time, it's a beautiful spring afternoon in the Hamptons and he smiles at the guests arriving for the wedding one by one.
Only two months had passed since the night of the proposal, but they had no reason to wait and didn't want to. Officially being Derek and Addison Shepherd was all they wanted, and if it was within reach, there was no reason to put it off.
They worked out the details together, unlike the last time Bizzy had taken charge of everything and made their wedding the event of the year. The first decisions were that it would be in the Hamptons once spring started, that it would be just family and close friends, simple decor, and that Derek wouldn't wear a tuxedo.
All the Shepherds are present, which already sets many people up, Carolyn has a genuine smile, different from the first time, which touches Derek. Naomi and Sam came from California bringing Maya who surprised Derek as she was no longer a little girl.
Savvy and Weiss are with their children, she, like Naomi, helps Addison get ready. Richard and Adele have flown in from Seattle, he claiming that only Addison has the power to get him out of work and across the country. There are some other friends of both with their companions and of course, Mark who little by little became the great friend of before.
Ultimately, only Archer attended from Addison's family, as Bizzy and the Captain were conveniently taking a trip to the French Riviera. Derek knows that Addison shares his sense of relief over this, having Bizzy there in her impeccable manner as she criticizes every detail of what they've done would not be pleasant.
Derek is deep in thought when Savvy approaches with a huge smile saying excitedly:
"She is coming!"
Derek nods and everyone takes their positions. Soon Addison emerges down the petaled aisle, her hair swept up in na elegant updo, her shiny gray dress, her striking makeup, and the most beautiful smile Derek has ever seen. She walks gracefully, smiling at everyone and then stops in front of him who smiles and takes her hand, both turning their attention to Amelia.
Amelia who is as excited as any of them starts talking:
"We're gathered here to celebrate Addison and Derek's second wedding. How dare you do that again, Addie."
She whispers the last part with a crooked smile that makes everyone laugh and gets a dirty look from Derek. Still smiling, she continues:
"You who are a predestined couple, who found your way back to each other after so much adversity, who came together in this love and made a beautiful family. It's na honor to be here. But Addie, if you want to get out of my car this one."
The laughter echoes again and Derek just shakes his head, he should have expected this after all. Getting serious again, Amelia asks:
"Do you have votes?"
"Yes."
They answer at the same time and Derek motions for Addison to go first. She smiles and turns to look into his eyes as she speaks:
"Derek, allowing myself to love and trust you again was the second hardest thing I've ever had to do, the first was learning to live without you. Sometimes it's still hard to believe that we're here together, that we're this family we dreamed of for so many years... But we are and I will spend every day of my life making sure we don't get lost again along the way. I love you."
She smiles, but tears are in her eyes and voice. Derek also smiles, also with teary eyes and gives her hand a gentle squeeze, then starts talking:
"Addie, I love you... it's always been you. Even when I was afraid, angry, when I wanted to run away and deceive myself, it was still you and always will be. Because you are the woman for me, the woman I love. I was predestined and to this day I don't believe I deserve it, but you're here, giving me another chance after all and there won't be a moment where you have to ask yourself if it's real, if I love you. We are AddisonandDerek and this is real."
This time, she needs to wipe away a tear and they shake hands tighter. After giving them a few seconds, Amelia goes on to try to disguise the emotion in her voice:
"The rings?"
It is at that moment that Chris enters next to Poof, the little boy is carrying one of the rings while the dog has a collar around his neck carrying the other, Naomi is the one who guides the animal. It's a cute scene that makes everyone sigh and smile. When the two arrive in front of the bride and groom, Addison takes her son's ring, gives him a kiss on the forehead and watches him walk away, Derek takes Poof's which is taken back by Naomi. Addison smiles brightly at Derek as she places the ring on his finger, after which he does the same. Amelia then smiles and states:
"By the power vested in me by the State of New York, I now pronounce you husband and wife anew."
Derek immediately pulls Addison in for a passionate kiss, while her friends and family cheer and cheer. When they leave, they show the rings and go to receive greetings from the guests.

The party is quiet, everyone laughs, talks and has fun. Derek is standing there watching Chris play with Savvy's kids when Archer approaches. From the ex-brother-in-law's expression, he already imagines a problem and Archer does not disappoint, as he arrives saying:
"You know I was never one to make physical threats, I was never adept at the savagery of intimidating someone using violence, I always preferred to do it using my family's money. So much so that when Addie introduced you as her boyfriend the first thing I did was talk about her trust fund, I thought that would alienate the neat, proud little suburban boy that you were, but you surprised me and you stayed. And you hurt her like I knew you would, so Shepherd, if you do that again, get hurt Addie and my nephew, I'm done with you."
Derek stares at him steadily listening to every word. As soon as the neurologist finishes, Derek says:
"It was a great speech of yours, but totally useless because I won't hurt them."
Archer holds the gaze and expression straight for a few moments, but turns to leave. Seeing his brother-in-law turn his back, Derek touches his shoulder and says:
"I never thanked you."
"What?" Archer asks turning around again.
"For taking care of them when I wasn't here."
A surprised expression appears on Archer's face, but he dismisses it.
"I didn't do this for you."
"Thank you anyway."
Derek speaks sincerely and extends his hand to the other man, after a few seconds of pondering, Archer takes it and they wave at each other. It is at this moment that Addison approaches, she puts na arm around her husband's waist and asks, trying not to sound apprehensive:
"Everything. Archer was just wishing you well."
Derek speaks without taking his eyes off his brother-in-law. Archer, in turn, smiles, approaches his sister, kisses her temple and whispers in her ear:
"Love you, Addie."
She answers before her brother walks away. When he leaves, she turns to Derek asking with a curious expression:
"What was this?"
"Believe it or not, your brother threatened to hit me."
Derek speaks with humor and Addison frowns stating:
"You know he wouldn't do that, right?"
"Honestly? I think I would, but I can't judge I have four sisters."
He is half serious and half laughing and makes Addison laugh too. They share a quick kiss before she takes his hand and guides him towards his friends.
The party continues late into the night, with everyone excited and happy. As he looks at Addison for most of the night, between smiles and conversation, Derek is sure he's made the best decision of his life again.

Derek puts Addison on the bed between laughs and then closes the door behind him, he lets out a sigh of relief watching her with malice. Addison takes a sensual position and states:
"Alone at last, Mr. Shepherd."
"Alone at last, Miss Shepherd."
He smiles and walks over to take her in his arms. Addison immediately pushes him down while stating:
"Tonight is mine."
He just nods excitedly as he lets her drive. In a second she stands and begins to slowly remove her clothes, throwing them in his direction who watches her inebriated.
Totally naked, she mounts him and takes his member to her mouth. Surprise and satisfaction take care of Derek who just moans her name, holding his hair tightly, she continues her smooth movements, again and again, exploring all his sensitivity that only increases.
When she feels he is having a hard time controlling himself she lets go and pulls his hand down to parts of her so she can see how wet she is too, soon fitting him perfectly. She rides around torturing him and pursing her lips together for long minutes, enjoying being in control of the situation and watching him squirm. Derek takes as much as he can take, but after a while he pushes himself up to sit across from her and pull her even closer, never breaking the perfect fit between them. Fully inside her, feeling her heartbeats matching hers and her equally sweaty bodies, Derek takes her lips in a kiss, his hands deepening in her hair. Addison returns the gesture in kind and tightens her legs around his waist. When the kiss ends, Derek whispers in her ear, almost out of breath:
"I will go..."
"Me too."
Is all Addison manages to say in the same tone as him. And then Derek ramps up the intensity, thrusting even deeper into her and holding her even tighter. Addison also squeezes him even tighter and they connect lips again as they both climax and Derek allows himself to spill inside her.
Derek falls onto the bed utterly exhausted, pulling his wife to lie on top of him, Addison just lets out a long sigh of satisfaction and fits her head into the crook of his shoulder. The two are silent, caressing each other for a long moment, until Derek breaks it:
"It's been our best wedding night yet."
Addison can't help laughing, but then she lifts her head and says in a sly way:
"The second time is the charm."
Derek laughs too, but then pulls her into a ravenous kiss, declaring they've had enough rest. If she could speak in the moment, Addison couldn't agree more.

Months later
Addison walks into the house later than she's supposed to, only to find the cutest scene she could. Derek and Chris are finishing Christmas dinner together while singing a song. She stands in the doorway for a few moments, just watching them with a goofy smile. Soon Derek turns around, he mirrors his wife's smile, approaches giving her a soft kiss while asking:
"How it was?"
"The twins were born and Mrs. Wilcox is doing well."
"Congratulations, Doctor Shepherd."
Addison smiles and at that moment Chris approaches excitedly, he extends a plate towards his mother and shows:
"I helped daddy make cookies for Santa Claus!"
"That's great, my love."
Addison states with a bright smile as she strokes her son's auburn curls. Derek then suggests:
"Take a shower, Addie. By the time you're done, dinner will be ready."
She nods, strokes her son's hair again, and then goes upstairs to her room.

When Addison returns, dinner is indeed ready and Chris helps his father set the table.
They sit and eat dinner together listening to Chris talk excitedly about Santa Claus and his letter. After dinner, Addison helps her son put out the cookies and milk for Santa, the boy even more excited that he helped make them.
Soon, Chris and Fop are snuggled up on the rug in the living room, comfortable in front of the fireplace. Derek puts on a Christmas movie and goes into the kitchen. Addison takes the moment to relax on the couch watching her son and Derek returns soon, he hands her a glass. Addison smiles upon seeing its contents and asks:
"Isn't that too Dickensian?"
"Well, we love Christmas."
Derek says with a smile, he puts a lock of her hair behind her ear and says:
"I finally get to have a Christmas alone with the people I love."
"But tomorrow we have to go to your mother's house, or she will be offended."
Derek nods, knowing his mother all too well. He then pulls Addison closer and states:
"But today it's just us."
"I'm not complaining."
Addison speaks in a light tone and just lays her head on his shoulder. It's not long before Chris climbs onto the couch, he snuggles into both his parents' laps and turns his attention to the movie again.
By the time the clock strikes midnight, Chris is already asleep, snoring softly as his mother strokes his hair. Upon hearing the clock, Derek meets Addison's eyes, he caresses her face, kisses her forehead and speaks softly:
"Merry Christmas, Doctor Shepherd."
"Merry Christmas, Doctor Shepherd."
Addison says smiling and then Derek pulls her into a passionate kiss. When the kiss ends they just snuggle closer and watch the snow fall through the Bronwstone window. The Christmas season is better than it's ever been.
