As Sora tried to piece Kairi's heart back together after he fought in the final clash with the new Organization XIII, he found that she kept popping up in different places in Scala Ad Caelum, but she always disappeared soon after he found her. She lingered a bit longer in one location than in the others. He found her standing by a well, singing into it with doves surrounding her. Sora didn't make any sudden moves to approach her as he knew that when he got close, she would likely disappear, and he listened to talking and singing to the doves.

Kairi: Want to know a secret?
Promise not to tell?
We are standing by a wishing well
Make a wish into the well

And if you hear it echoing

Kairi began to sing directly into the well.

Kairi: I'm wishing

Kairi began humming a few notes into the well, seemingly just to hear her voice echo before continuing her song. Sora itched to join her but held back.

Sora couldn't hold back any longer. He ran to her side and responded before the echo occurred.

Sora: Today

Kairi began to run away silently.

"Wait! Please wait! Come back! Please!" Sora called after Kairi, but she didn't stop. She just kept running without looking back. Sora began to sing in agony.
