Sorry for the wait...Life has been a bit hectic and work completely drained me...as well as a new Lostbelt in the JP server that I now have new ammo to use. For the sake of my sanity and getting a good story, there will be parts I will gloss over/cut out due to things being more coherant. This will be especially true for the early singularities as, well, the writing is not that good. I will definitely be keeping Camelot, Babylonia and Solomon relatively untouched (there will be some fun things in the former two that will be added not taken away, mainly because of shenanigans with Servants in there.) But for the Singularities before that, do keep in mind that I will be fixing things for clarity. I've gotten back into my writing habit and I'm going to try and get another chapter out in the next few days as we're gonna see a slight change in roster (It won't be the same three Cira has taken with her before, there'll be a change. I have plans for this singularity...there are gonna be some things introduced and not all of them are good for Cira).

Okeanos: Pioneering Pirate Queen

"So," Drake smirked, settling back into her seat and grabbing another drink, pouring it into her cup, "Who are you and what do you want. I'll thank you for savin' my boys there…probably from a bunch of headaches from the more drunken group of hooligans."

"We're from Chaldea," Cira stated, "My name's Cira and this is my friend, Mash."

Drake raised an eyebrow, looking over the rim of her cup.

"The hell do the stargazers want?" she scoffed, "Sell us a new map with their constellations?"

"Huh, so she actually knows her stuff! Chaldea's origins were originally a bunch of star gazers back in ancient times," Romani's voice piped up from Cira's wrist communicator.

"Somethin' about you seems really damn shallow, mister," Drake growled, jabbing her cup at Cira's wrist, spilling some of the booze inside, "Cowardly, gutless…pessimistic. A good man, don't get me wrong…but you're a chicken. I hate people like you the most."

"...The fact she got that dead on," Mash muttered.

"...That actually cut pretty deep," Romani huffed.

Drake's scowl turned into an amused smirk as she took a long swig of her cup.

"Well, spare me the details. They're just a pain in the ass. So, what does Chaldea want with me?" she asked, looking at Cira expectantly.

"Well…we were sent here to fix all the anomalies in this era." Cira admitted.

"Okay…"

"Since you're so great, Captain Drake," Mash added, "You've probably already noticed. Something's wrong with this era…this world. The ocean that you've spent your days on…that we're in front of now…aren't the same."

"All I'm hearing is stuff…'bout the world, the time…I've decided to ignore in the first place," Drake sighed, "But, the talk about the ocean? That I can't ignore. Yeah, I did feel somethin' strange about it."

"We can explain that!" Mash's face lit up, "You s-"

"Missy, what you don't understand is the fact that it's not a bad thing," Drake cut her off, "This world is the most fun world I've had the pleasure of being in. I don't see a reason to get out of here! Ain't that right you scumbags!"

She turned to the other pirates, who had all raised their voices in a drunken cheer.

"What…?" Mash sputtered.

"See," Drake smirked, "We pirates long for freedom above all else. Even if it entails evil deeds. If ya want me to listen to you…well, that's gonna take some testing of your mettle."

She sat her goblet down and stood, twirling the flintlock pistol around her fingers in a practiced way.

"If you can best me," she smirked, "Then we'll talk."

"I don't thi-" Mash started.

"Deal," Cira said.

"MASTER!" Mash screeched.

"You're drunk as a skunk right now," Cira pointed out, holding Drake's gaze, "You want to get sober,"

"Y'ain't getting a good conversation otherwise," Drake chuckled, "You've got guts, Missy. I like you."

"Cira!" Mash hissed.

Cira looked towards her friend and gave a nod.

"Just like in France. Use the 'flat'."

Mash's shock turned to annoyance as she gave a sigh.

"I'll assist," Cira reassured her, "Don't worry."

Mash's narrowed in an unsure way…but she held out her hand. Her shield materialized with a sonorous ring and a flurry of violet sparks. Drake gave a grin and readied her pistol. Without a warning, she fired. Mash's eyes flashed gold as her reflexes jerked her shield in front of her, causing the bullet to ricochet off the black metal with a loud ringing sound. Cira noticed that not even the paint had been scratched off the shield where the bullet pinged off it.

Drake raised an eyebrow at the display and her grin got even wider. She then proceeded to fire another shot and charged forward. Cira had to duck as the bullet zipped over her head from where Mash had deflected it.

"Jeeze!" she yelped, covering her head and bolting behind a barrel.

Drake unsheathed her sword, the silver edge blazing hot in the sunlight as it clanged against Mash's shield, caught on one of the crossbeams of the massive black metal construct. Mash shoved her back, knocking Drake off balance as she came forwards, shield held in both hands as she swung again.

Drake's hand moved across the ground as Mash made to strike, resulting in Mash yelping in surprise and staggering back, rubbing at her eyes. She then was knocked backwards a few feet when Drake kicked her and sent her to the ground, causing the shield to fall from her grasp.

A bullet kicked up dirt right next to Mash's hand, forcing her to abandon grabbing the protective metal for a second. She jumped backwards as Drake's sabre swung at her, ducking as it lodged itself in a tree.

"Ah, dammit," Drake growled, yanking the sword free and shaking her head, "God, I'm more drunk than I thought."

She turned to face Mash again and Mash made a dive for her shield. She managed to scoop up the black metal cross and bring it to bear right as a brilliant light burst into being, blinding her for a few seconds and getting more than a few curses from Drake.

"MASH! NOW!" Cira yelled.

Mash turned to see her Master holding her arm outstretched with sparks flitting around her fingertips. Without hesitating, she grabbed her shield in both hands and walloped Drake across the face. Drake went tumbling to the ground and Mash slammed the bottom part of her shield into the dirt next to Drake's head.

"Do you yield?" she asked, her shoulders heaving in deep breaths.

Drake gave a groan, putting her arm across her eyes.

"Yeah, yeah I yield. Damn…can't believe I lost that," she sighed, "What the hell did you hit me with? Feels like the worst hangover in the history of hangovers…"

"I'm sorry," Mash apologized, offering her hand to help Drake up, who obliged her and was hauled up to her feet, "I'm not sure on my own strength at times."

"I'll say!" Drake laughed as Cira trotted up with Jack, "Ahhh fightin' after getting drunk is always the best way to wake up. But a deal's a deal."

She cast a cobalt look towards Cira, whose hand still glittered with light.

"That was a nasty little trick," she scolded.

"Yeah I knew drunks don't like bright and sudden lights," Cira shrugged.

"How?" Mash asked.

"Cu," Cira stated.

"How in the world is she so strong?" came the demi-servant's question, "She's human…like Nero and you, right?"

"Yeah, but thing is, I'm getting a magical energy signature from her." Romani's voice chirped, "So…a mage like Cira or a hero from birth,"

"You ok, boss?" Jack asked as Drake shook her head.

"Course I'm fine," Drake snorted, "Ears are ringing a little but I'm fine, but since I lost..."

She turned to Cira and shrugged.

"You two can boil me, fry me, sleep with me…anything you want," she said.

"W-wait what!?" Mash sputtered.

"Uh…I'm good," Cira blinked.

Drake let out a loud laugh.

"Fair 'nough," she smiled, "In any case, a deal's a deal. I'll hear you guys out. Though from the looks of it…you guys need a ride around here don't you,"

"Considering the fact they kinda just appeared on the ship," Jack chuckled, "I'd say so,"

"Appeared?" Drake blinked, "No, no don't answer that. Point is, you two don't know these seas at all. So you need someone to help you out there. And you need me, pirate or not."

"Yeaaaah," Cira admitted, "Pirate is irrelevant, we need you, Captain Drake,"

"Awww, shucks," she cooed, "So exactly what do you want. Since I lost we'll give ya anything short of our lives,"

"First of all, we need to understand the situation," Mash said, "Where is here? Closer to England? Spain? Or are we in the Caribbean?"

"Oh Artoria's gonna hate thiiiiis. All the water..." Cira muttered more to herself, "If she answers me anyways…"

"That too, we need to find a leyline," Mash said, "The more firepower we can bring the better,"

"Yeah save the fact I can only bring in four people tops,"

"On your first point," Drake said, "I can't really tell you that, cuz we don't know ourselves."

"All that revelry and you don't know!?" Mash sputtered.

"Hey it's an unending party of food and booze," Drake shrugged, "Didn't need to question it. But since we surrendered to you, we're officially part of your crew."

She nabbed her cup again.

"And we're gonna start this out with a toast!" she crowed.

"Didn't we just get you sober?" Cira deadpanned.

"And with all this heavy stuff Imma need to be nice and drunk," Drake grinned, grabbing Mash's arm, "C'mon, it's all good!"

"Wait, no. Stop. MASTER HELP!" Mash gave a plaintive cry as Drake dragged her towards the center of the clearing.

"She's not going to hurt her is she?" Cira asked Jack, who was doubled over laughing.

"Naw," he chuckled, "You two are pretty much family now. It's just some celebrating is all,"

"Wait hold on,"

Cira held up the communicator as Romani's voice rang out.

"What is it?" Cira asked.

"...Nevermind, the readings were being weird for a second," Romani gave a tired sigh, "Just be careful you two. You don't have your servants with you and I'm afraid of what might happen to you when they're not there."

"Thanks for the vote of confidence, Doc," Cira grumbled, "It's like you don't trust me or Mash to take care of ourselves."

"...I didn't mean it like that,"

"Kinda felt like you did," Cira stated, "Look, we'll talk later…let me know if anything weird shows up,"

And with that, Cira put the communications device into silent mode. Despite the fact she knew Romani had reason to be worried…the reaction of the pirates in the forest had been enough…it still stung that he felt that way about her and Mash. Mainly her.

It felt that he, like Olga Marie and Professor Lev…Flouros, whatever, didn't believe that she was capable of doing things on her own.

She held up her hand, watching the light glittering around the crimson command spells still and an invisible fist clenched around her heart.

"I can do this…I've beaten France, I've beaten Rome…I can beat this damn Ocean." she huffed as she marched towards her poor friend who was currently being attempted by Drake to be swayed into drinking.

"TO NEW CREWMATES AND ADVENTURE!" Drake roared, lifting the golden chalice high as she grabbed Mash around the shoulder with her free hand and gave her a hearty shake.

The pirates around them cheered happily and Cira gave a soft chuckle as Mash looked incredibly unamused. However, that laughter died in an instant as she saw Mash's face turned white.

"The Grail." came the soft duo'd voice that rang in Cira's skull as Mash's lips said the same thing.

Cira shook her head. It was always odd when Mash used the bond speak, even if she didn't mean to use it. She could never tell what the second voice was…male, female, old or young. It was just an echoing quality that sounded like two people rather than one. A strange harmony of a lower and higher voice.

But Cira was dead certain she heard Mash say something about the Grail.

Cira didn't remember falling asleep, but the next thing she knew, it was morning. Mash was already awake, tightening a strap on her armor with a frown on her face.

"The hell did I manage to sleep through a party," Cira sputtered.

"I don't know. All I know is that you blacked out the moment someone brought alcohol close," Mash stated, "Do you remember anything?"

"I remember you saying something about the Grail…"

"So you were paying attention."

"Are you mad at me or something?" Cira demanded.

Mash gave a sigh, her shoulders sagging.

"No," she admitted, "Well, somewhat. You weren't paying attention and saying something about 'two Mashes' when I asked you how many fingers I was holding up."

"...I didn't drink anything did I?"

"No."

"...We do not tell Cu this," Cira ordered, "He will never let me live that down,"

"He might be listening," Mash pointed out, her head nodding towards the communicator, "You never know with them. Dr. Roman was not happy at all with you…he said you turned the communicator off. I already briefed him on it and I did talk to Captain Drake a bit while you were out."

"I didn't turn it off, that's a bold faced lie," Cira countered, "I put it to silent."

"Cira that's dangerous," Mash scolded, "You could get killed because Dr. Roman couldn't warn us about danger here."

"Alright, I'm sorry," Cira sighed, "Doctor, if you can hear me too, I'm sorry I turned it to silent."

The communicator was silent.

And then a pained yelp sounded as DaVinci's voice came over the comms.

"Stop being petty, Romani. She apologized," she huffed, "Sorry Cira…he was giving you the silent treatment…like a toddler."

"I was not!" Romani snapped, "I was drinking my coffee and I didn't want to ch-OW! WOMAN!"

Cira and Mash both laughed a little bit as Romani gave a groan.

"I am sorry," Cira told him, "I won't do that again,"

"You'd better not. Otherwise I'm taking the whole silence function off the damn thing and blasting a bunch of children's music through it."

"You wouldn't dare." Cira hissed.

"And all of Chaldea will hear it." Romani preened, "You remember the last time we did that…"

Cira shuddered.

"I never knew Lily had a temper and a hatred for Barney like that…" she whimpered.

"In any case," Mash said, "Doctor Roman and I talked to Captain Drake…the Grail she has isn't the one keeping this singularity here."

"It's a fake?"

"Oh no it's totally real," Romani said, "But it's this world's Grail. Not the one that was sent here."

"So we're back at square one," Cira groaned.

"Not exactly," Mash reassured her, "Captain Drake says that she knows where a Leyline is. We were going to be heading out as soon as the crew is sober again."

"So you mean a week." Cira deadpanned.

She heard DaVinci's snort through the communicator.

"Actually a good part of them were already making the ship ready," Mash said, "We're to meet the Captain on the deck as soon as you were ready."

"Might as well get going then," Cira nodded, "It'll be nice to have some more firepower on our team."
