"I am not really sure about this, Dean." Cas whispered from behind him as they ducked behind a wall of an unused cabin, using the nightfall for better coverage. They were so close, the cabin "Gabby" was staying in was just a few feet away.

"What daya mean, you're not sure? You want your moko back and to get outtakes here, right?" Dean tried his best to sound as annoyed as he should be feeling, despite the anger he felt when the boss showed up had diminished. Truth was, he didn't really want to leave this place and go back to the way things were. The more he thought about it, the more it seemed like maybe this wasn't Gabriel's work at all, that perhaps they were locked in a Djin dream. Or just him.

That seemed more likely than Cas actually choosing to kiss him or cuddle with him or to be with him in any romantic way.

But then he overheard Gabby yelling at the staff to do their work, to do what they were brought there to do, to do their part and it sounded too much like 'play your part' that Dean was back to the Gabriel theory.

It just didn't add up. Why else would all these people be here if they weren't made up? Why would someone as smart as Hannah allow herself the anxiety of this job? Why would a control freak like Eve let go and not try to contact any of her friends or family? Or her work for that matter? Why would Rosemary stay with such a homophobic (and possibly abusive) asshole such as Earl? How could they even afford a trip to an exotic island?

And most importantly, where the fuck were real Dixon and Casidy?

Dean watched as Cas sighed deeply and nodded. They had to confront Gabriel or risk being stuck here for who knew how long. Gabby had already announced that there wasn't enough room on the helicopter to take them all back and that they would have to take turns flying back in the morning. The company was closing off the resort until certain things could be fixed and better trained personnel could be hired (the statement made all of the employees glare at their boss).

They entered the cabin silently and took stock of the place. It wasn't much different than their own cabin. There was a sound of the shower running, and all that was left to do was wait her out. Dean considered ambushing Gabby, but since he knew it was Gabriel, there wasn't any chance they would be able to restrain her. Him. Whatever.

Knowing Gabriel, he would probably waltz out of there naked or something.

Luckily, that didn't happen. Gabby walked out wearing silk pajamas and as soon as she saw them, she picked up a lamp to defend herself with it. How adorable.

"Who the fuck are you and what the fuck do you want?"

Dean snorted and was about to tell Gabriel to cut the crap when Jin emerged from the bathroom, wearing nothing but a towel around his waist. Well, that was unexpected.

"Dixon? Cassidy? What are you doing here?" Jin questioned, but before Dean could reply, Gabby stepped in, the frown on her face deepening.

" Dixon and Cassidy? As in the Crawfords? They aren't them. The Crawfords backed out of their trip when Dixon's wife Cassidy realized they would have to parachute their way into the island. One more thing I will be changing around here, by the way." Gabby seemed to be ready to talk more and let some frustrations loose before Jin reminded that they had strangers in their cabin.

"If you're not Dixon and Cassidy, who are you? Why would you pretend to be them?"

"Don't be an idiot, Jin, they are here to steal the company secrets, of course," Gabby said, like it made perfect sense. Which it really didn't.

"Alright, cut the crap Gabriel, we are on to you! I don't know what your plan was here or why you wanted to mess with us, but it ends now. Give Cas his grace back and let us go!!" Dean growled, taking a threatening step forward.

Gabby and Jin looked at him with wide eyes, acting like they were sensing Dean was not to be messed with. Gabby carefully asked "What are you talking about?"

"You know damn well what I am talking about!!! Cut it out Gabriel or I will–" Dean was cut off by a finger snapping behind him. Just before he turned to find the source, he noticed both Gabby and Jin were frozen on the spot, looking genuinely terrified.

"Wow. I mean, I know your brother is delusional when it comes to certain things, but this is just too much. To think someone like me would come up with all this nonsense, it's just… It's ridiculous. First of all, Dean, bro, if I wanted to throw the two of you into a delusion, I would make sure you don't know it. And I would be much more successful at getting you to bang than whatever you got going on here." Gabriel yepped and yepped and Dean just stared at him and Sam who had appeared on the other side of the room.

What the hell was Gabriel saying? That he wasn't behind this? But he was right there, that should be proof enough.

"Um…" Sam was clearly confused as he kept looking between Dean and Gabriel. The trickster wannabe sighed and motioned at Dean.

"Sam. Please tell your brother I didn't do this. Explain to him how you asked Rowena to help, but she couldn't track the seashell spell that teleported them here and that you guys had to contact me. Oh, and by the way, Cassie… Catch!" Gabriel threw said seashell at the angel and Dean gasped, eyes going wide as Cas reached out to actually catch the damn thing. Dean thought that it would transport him to Antarctica or the freaking moon or something, but the thing actually broke into little pieces right in his hand, freeing his grace. It flew straight to his mouth and just like that Cas was an angel again.

Awesome.

"I, um… Pretty sure you just did," Sam supplied helpfully.

"I really don't know how he keeps getting himself into these kinds of situations," Gabriel replied with a tsk. Meanwhile Dean just stood there, mouth agape. This couldn't be right?

This whole island, this stupid resort, it couldn't all be real, could it?

"Wait, what about… What about all of this? If it was real how come… Eve and Brandon and Rosemary and Earl, they're just… And Hannah, Mer and Leyla?" Dean had so many questions, but felt too confused to ask them.

"Well… I can tell you this. The Richardson's, Brandon and Eve? The marriage is on thin ice because both of them cheated on the other. This trip was supposed to bring them closer together or so their mother's thought. A little isolation from their jobs and high society and all that crap." Gabriel replied.

"As for the Jonson's, Rosemary inherited a lot of money and she wanted an adventure. Her husband earl only followed her because of the cash, but I do think she's starting to realize she doesn't need him."

"Gabby put too much pressure on Hannah, she is a life coach, not someone who should be running things, but she didn't want to give the job to Jin because she is screwing him and doesn't want him running things or whatever her stupid reasoning was. Leyla is just having fun and she's dragging Meredith along for the ride because they are bfs. Though I think good ol' Mer is having just as much fun."

"So does that answer all your questions, or is there something more you'd like to know before we get the fuck outta here?" Gabriel seemed annoyed, but Dean didn't care about him.

All he kept thinking is if this was all real and Cas was really himself and this wasn't a Gabriel illusion or a Djin dream, that would mean… "But if–"

"Don't ask questions you're not ready to hear the answer to." Gabriel interrupted him and yeah, maybe the guy had a point.

Didn't matter anyway. Cas was back to being a full angel again and they were about to go back to the bunker, to their regular lives.

The dream was over.
