RWBY does not belong to me, but to Rooster Teeth. GrimGrave owns nothing.

Chapter 2

Long-distance relationships sucked, Neon once again confirmed for the umpteenth time. Despite what she had told Ruby she hated it just as much and these past few months had been torturous.

Finally, however, she was on an airship to Vale packed for what would be two wonderful weeks with her girlfriend! Between getting sick and classes both of their schedules had been tight, but luckily they had managed to find some time between studies and missions.

It was simultaneously exciting and disheartening. This would mark the last time they could spend time together like this before their graduation in a few more months, and those would be packed with tests, missions, and the like with no free time whatsoever.

It was the calm before the storm. All the more reason the two of them recharged their batteries as much as possible during these two weeks before they had to face the final push.

After that, however…

Neon grinned, unable to stifle her giddiness. On one hand she wanted to simply stay with Ruby and snuggle in her room, but on the other she also desired to see more of Vale and go clubbing! Granted, there was time for both, but what should they start with? Ruby wasn't too hot for clubbing, but she indulged Neon enough over the time they had been together and Neon had come to appreciate just lounging around and stay cozy at home.

They would cross that bridge when they got to it; for now Neon was preparing herself as the airship was about to land and soon she would have her little rose in her arms again – soon she breath in that familiar, wonderful scent of flowers and be hugged back by those lithe arms of hers!

No matter what they did, Neon would give it her all – one-hundred-and-ten percent – and make the most of these two weeks.

"Ladies, gentlemen, and everyone in-between, we have arrived at the City of Vale. Please remain seated until we have properly landed—"

It took every single bit of willpower to not just grab her bags and speed right through to the exit.

x.x.x

The split-second Neon got her last bag from the conveyor belt she dashed, a rainbow trail in her wake, through the airport. She flawlessly zigzagged past travellers without even looking on her way out of there, knowing that Ruby would be waiting outside by an Airbuss that would relocate them to Patch.

It had been a while since she last visited Ruby's home; most of the times they either stayed at a hotel or at the academy with the latter offering little privacy and the former was, in the long run, a Lien sink.

No, Ruby's home in Patch was perfect: it would offer suitable privacy and it was free!

She flew out of the airport like a speeding bullet only to come to a grinding halt to hurriedly look around, desperate to find Ruby. Her hair-colour alone should help her stand out, but amidst the sea of people coming and leaving the building it was still difficult-

"Neon!" She immediately perked up and spun to face the direction of that unmistakeable voice, only to be tackled in a flurry of rose petals and slide backwards several feet. "Found you!"

Ruby's arms were strong and lithe; as soon as those wrapped around Neon, dopamine was released in ample quantity as she relaxed into the embrace and she returned the hug as tightly as she could. The sniper's warmth spread over to her. She breathed in her scent and her heart fluttered.

"Brothers, I missed you," she murmured into Ruby's neck.

"I've missed you too…" the younger girl whispered back. For a moment that felt longer than it was, the world stood still and there were only the two of them, unbothered. Ruby hummed softly into the crook of Neon's neck as she hugged her tightly.

`Just…wonderful.´

Damn, Ruby had such a nice scent. Was she wearing perfume or had it just been that long?

"As lovely as this is," Neon reluctantly began. "We should probably head to the airbuss or else we'll miss it."

"There's actually a delay with the airbuses right now. Maintenance problems, supposedly. So our airbuss won't be for another hour," Ruby explained. "So we'll have some time to kill until then. We could go shopping if you want."

"With my entire luggage? Pass!" Neon giggled. "Buuuut…I know of something more fun we can do."

"Like what, exactly? It's a full hour, maybe more!" Ruby asked, and the look on her girlfriend's face was too telling. She shot Neon an incredulous look as the latter cocked her head towards the public restrooms. "Are you serious?"

Neon grinned. "What can I say? I really missed you."

"So you don't want to bring your luggage around to sightsee and shop, but you'll drag it into a filthy, public restroom for a quickie?"

"Who said anything about being quick? We'll have a full hour, maybe more, you said so yourself." Neon wiggled her eyebrows as her tail curled around over to Ruby. "But of course, if you don't want to, I suppose we could wait until tonight, assuming your family won't hear us…"

"You, Neon Katt, are incorrigible," Ruby said with a roll of her eyes, but nonetheless chewed on her bottom-lip, tempted. "…Why did you have to suggest that?"

"Because the thought did occur to me as I waited for the airship to land; I simply thought that there wouldn't be any time. Now that we do have time…" She wiggled her eyebrows again. "What do you say?"

Ruby sighed, but the look in her eyes said otherwise. "You're lucky I love you. Come one then, you horny cat."

Neon grinned and giggled as she was led to the restrooms, her cock throbbing in anticipation.

Needless to say, they ended up missing the airbuss, but neither seemed to mind all that much afterwards.

x.x.x

With time to spare, the pair decided to go shopping in central city of Vale after all (with Neon's luggage to boot), with plans of a proper lunch to top it off afterwards. Aside from window-shopping for clothes (dresses, skirts, some cute and/or funky shirts) they visited a small jewellery and accessory store on Ruby's insistence.

"Check it out!" The sniper held up a pair of earrings to her ears. "Aren't they cool?"

They were a pair of tear-drop shaped gemstones encased in metal and glass, and smaller than the nail on your pinkie finger. They glistened beautifully.

"So cool," Neon confirmed. "You wanna buy them?"

"I was thinking we could have one each. You know, to match? I've wanted this for a while now. What do you think?"

Neon took a moment to process. It was sweet of Ruby and a pretty cool idea. She wished she had thought of it earlier, but then again it perhaps would have been out of place to do so early on in their relationship. But now?

"I'm all for it. Let's do it," she excitedly said with a growing smile.

Ruby skipped over to the register with a spring in her step, to Neon's amusement. On her way over however, the Faunus caught sight of something – something relatively simple yet eye-catchingly beautiful. She ceased mid-step, fixated, and made a mental note to come back here in the future if things still worked out between her and Ruby.

Afterwards they went to a small "sister branch" café to a big restaurant chain named `House of Green Leaves´ that had been a perfect resting spot and a way to kill time until they could board the airbuss to Patch. They sported their newly bought earrings; Ruby's on her right ear and Neon's on her left.

It was only the start of their amazing two-week semester together before their finals and the beginning of the end of their time as students.

RubyGF: Are you up?

As a matter of fact Neon was not. She snatched her Scroll quicker than a speeding bullet when she heard the trill.

-Yeah! Can't sleep LOL. I'm a nervous wreck nowadays. Final mission-assessments are done and now we're only doing theoretical stuff and junk. Lots of tests that aren't battle-related, at least physically, you know?

RubyGF: Ugh. I know! It's insane how quickly we're approaching graduation…

-I can barely believe it myself. What drives me insane though is how we barely even have time to talk properly. It's always text messages.

Neon frowned. Being unable to hear Ruby's voice, much less see her face, had soured her mood over the past months. It could not be helped; they had both just been so damn busy now that graduation was just around the corner and when they weren't busy, they were exhausted.

RubyGF: I know…But it's soon over. We've got to hang in there a little longer!

Of course. Keep enduring it till the very end. They had both come this far both as Huntresses and in their relationship. They couldn't give up now.

-I will, honey~ I just miss you a whole lot. I wanna see you; I wanna kiss you so badly! I can't wait until I see you again!

RubyGF: Aww! I miss you too. It sucks that we'll have to wait a while longer. Hey, you know what?

-What?

Ruby didn't respond. Neon waited and it was slowly killing her. What was Ruby doing?

Then finally, her Scroll trilled. It wasn't a text message: it was a file. Before Neon could click on it the sniper did text back;

RubyGF: Maybe this will help tide you over till next time~ I know we should probably try to sleep, but yeah. Miss you xoxoxoxo

Curious, Neon clicked on the file.

Her eyes snapped wide open. It was a video.

Ruby came into view dressed in her pyjamas.

"Hi, babe. I figured that since we won't be able to talk a lot for a while longer, I figured I'd send you something special. I don't think you'll mind that it isn't a live-feed so to speak," Ruby winked into the camera on her Scroll as she slowly pulled up her pyjama top. She wasn't wearing a bra. "For your eyes only, obviously."

Creamy swells popped into view with pretty pink buds standing attentively. She gently caressed them, the hem of her pyjama top between her teeth, and slowly squeezed as she silently moaned, however stifled as it was.

Blood rushed southward. Neon's pyjama bottoms began to feel a size too small. Her hand hovered over her length.

"I don't really have much time. I don't know just how good hearing Blake has," Ruby kept whispering. "I guess you'll just have to pause the video whenever you need to."

She slid her pyjama pants down below her hip; just low enough to give Neon a good view (thanks to her night-vision) of her dripping sex as she splayed her legs as much as she could. Her fingers gently teased her clit and slid down over slick labia.

"Sorry that I can't do more."

Neon chewed on her lower lip and rubbed her shaft over the clothing. She would have to rewind and pause, but then again she too had teammates sleeping nearby.

"Sweet dreams, Neon~" Ruby blew a kiss to the camera, gave her a last look at her body, and then the video stopped.

"Minx," Neon muttered. Two could play that game she mused, and proceeded to pull up her own top for a quick photo.

She'd send Ruby a video back as well, but she'd tease her thoroughly as she kept recording herself stroking her cock, with a promise of what she would give the sniper once they finally met up again.

Today was the day they had all been waiting for.

It was way past noon; their day had started in the early morning with fun and games, followed with a big banquet of a brunch in the dining hall for all graduates. Students of the third-second-and-first years had been tasked to put up all the festive banners and decorations, organized by Glynda and the rest of the staff over the past week while the graduating Huntsmen and Huntresses were treated to some rest and relaxation as a treat for their extra hard work. Ruby and her team had done the same for the past three years and especially last year when it was CFVY's turn to leave the academy behind.

And what a day it had been! The dining hall had been so full of life and cheer as everyone ate, drunk, and were more than a little merry! Everywhere you went people chatted excitingly about their plans, aspirations, and what to do next: some people vowed to form new teams; others seemed determined to go their separate ways. Different lives, different callings, but majority of the Beacon Academy graduates were more than happy to stay as a team!

And for team RWBY the choice was clear: they wouldn't split up. They vowed to remain a team and help Remnant wherever they went following Yang's sense of adventure, Blake's determination for equality and Weiss help mend the bridge between humans and Faunus, led by Ruby's honest soul.

More fun and games were to be had over the course of the afternoon and well into the evening where music was now played on a live stage. The weather allowed dinner to be served outside on the courtyard which was just as lively – if not more so than – as the brunch and the exciting tension was rising by the minute.

Once dinner was over, people mingled. Eventually the tables were cleared and removed, and friend and families of the graduating students were allowed onto academy grounds while said graduates filed up, team by team, in front of the stage.

Ruby's heart hammered wildly and uncontrollably beneath her breast to the point she feared it'd break a rib the moment the music faded and the stage was cleared. Ozpin, accompanied by Glynda and the rest of the staff, took to the stage, centred in the spotlight.

He cleared his throat. He shuffled through his cards. Glynda stood behind him, looked unusually proud.

"And so we have reached another end of a chapter. And as always, a new one begins – a new chapter of promising Huntresses and Huntsmen making our world a better place and upholding the peace. And I have never been prouder of graduating students than I am now; this generation of young warriors have gone above and beyond in their duties and exceeded not only my own expectations, but also those of the staff members."

The teachers behind him peered out over the crowd of students with unmistakeable smiles as if to emphasize their pride.

"I have always prided myself on many things: chiefly amongst those things I like to think I am observant. And I have observed each and all of you and seen how much you've grown since you first stepped onto this very courtyard – I've seen your strength, determination, and sense of justice shine brighter with each passing year like beacons of hope for a brighter future as well as a light to guide the generations after you. And it is with this level of observation that I can say without a shadow of a doubt that I know you will all achieve greatness as you venture out in the wide world of ours. You have proven yourselves time and again to be worthy of the trust, responsibility, and respect that comes with the title of Huntsman and Huntress. And so without further ado-"

One by one the students' Scrolls trilled. When Ruby's did she quickly glanced down and her heart skipped a beat.

Her Huntress License. It was now official.

Yang nudged her with her elbow and winked. Ruby grinned from ear to ear.

"Congratulations, Huntresses and Huntsmen, on your graduation!"

Music blared. Fireworks illuminated the sky that had darkened just moments ago, and everyone including the families of the graduates cheered so loudly it rang out over the academy.

Ruby threw herself into her sister's waiting arms and the blonde brawler spun her around. Blake joined the sisterly embrace and soon Weiss joined, eager to be part of the group hug.

When they parted, Blake pulled Yang in and soundly kissed her. Weiss and Ruby looked on with knowing smiles and shared another hug, but it didn't take long for Ruby to check her Scroll and waited with baited breath while her dad and friends made their way over.

Neon mulled over what other academies' graduations were like. Were they different from Atlas'? They had to be, right?

With Ironwood there was no pomp and circumstance. Everyone had filed in in the main arena, the biggest area on campus, along with the academy faculty members while the General/Headmaster held a long speech about Atlas' prosperity with each year. Or something along those lines. Neon had not paid attention. The locale was as cold and lifeless and with Ironwood not-so-subtle began to talk about how he looked forward to "work with" these new Huntsmen and Huntresses in the future Neon's impatience began to run even thinner.

"-and so it is with great honour that I now grant you hard-working young people with the license – as well as responsibility – of Huntsmen and Huntresses so that you may help defend and serve Atlas in the years to come."

She grimaced, but her expression softened as she noticed her Scroll displaying said license. Finally.

There was a round of applause from the staff and a ceremonial, celebratory tune playing from the speakers, but overall the hype wasn't lasting long before Ironwood and his staff began to mingle with the graduates with the topic of recruitment into the military upon their lips.

"I think I need to bail. Like, right now," she whispered to her teammates. "You guys ought to do the same."

Flynt was the only one who seemed just as eager to leave; Ivori and Kobalt exchanged uncertain looks, but didn't move from their spots.

Hardly a surprise, Neon mused. Her team, while fun, had made it clear since early on that they had different goals in life and if anyone was going to join the Atlas military, it was those two.

Without much else to say or do, Neon activated her rollerblades and dashed out of the area with Flynt in tow. "Ugh. At least that is over and done with."

"Seems like we're not the only ones slinking away before we're spotted." He cocked his head to the side to the aforementioned other graduates. "So what now then?"

"I know my parents probably will want to celebrate, but…" Neon worried her bottom-lip. "I kinda want to see my girl you know. Is that selfish?"

Flynt chortled, unable to stifle himself. "Oh girl, Neon, my main-partner-in-crime, it ain't selfish! But, you know, she might be celebrating with her team right now. Or her family. Or all of them?" He shrugged his shoulders. "Maybe to start with you just give her a call, yeah?"

"…Yeah. Yeah I think I'll do that then." She fished up her Scroll and called Ruby within two seconds. "Gods I hope I can come over…"

"It ain't easy to travel between countries on such short notice. Maybe should've planned this with her beforehand," Flynt told her.

"Oh shuddup, Flynt! We've both been so busy and then time just slipped away from— OH uh, hey, Ruby, babe!" She shot her grinning friend a glare before stepping away. "What's up?"

"…Neon, you called me, you know?" She giggled. Gods above, Neon loved that sound. "But I was going to call you anyway so, congratulations on your graduation!"

Her heart fluttered. "You too! Can you believe it? We're full-fledged Huntresses now! We're free to do what we want! Well, sort of. You know what I mean."

"No more tests or relying on holidays, or breaks from school." The way Ruby said it sounded like such a relief and realization. The look in her eyes on the other side of the screen was downright heart-warming. "No more long-distance."

"No more long-distance. Speaking of which…" Neon worried her lower lip again. "I dunno if you, like, had plans, but I was wondering if it was possible to…meet up? Like, tonight?"

"Aw…I'd love to. But I think my teammates and my dad wanted to do something really special tonight. Besides don't you want to celebrate with your family?"

"No I do, but…I dunno. I'm just so excited. Sorry."

"Don't apologize, Neon. I thought about it too. But what's one more day?"

She blinked. "One more day?"

"I was going to call you and ask about tomorrow anyway. Blake and Yang are going to visit her parents in Menagerie and Weiss is meeting up with her mom, sister, and brother. So-"

"IWOULDLOVETOCOMEOVER!" Neon immediately reeled back and cleared her throat whilst ignoring Flynt laughing in the background, and batted her eyelashes. "I mean, if it's okay with you…"

Ruby giggled. "I was going to ask if I could come over, but-"

"Oh no, no, I insist. I could use the change of scenery. I've had enough of Atlas for a while and…you know, maybe we could…go on a mission together?" She was fidgeting. "You know, to celebrate? I am a freelancer now after all and I was going to go to Vale anyway."

"Why was I expecting you to suggest something else right then?"

"I mean we can do that afterwards! Or before. Both. Is your dad going to be out of town for a while by any chance?"

The sniper burst out laughing. "Oh my god, Neon!" She wiped a tear from her eye and eventually calmed down after a bit. Her smile became sheepish. "…I mean…yeah."

Neon's tail went still. "Wait really?"

"Uhu…" She bit her bottom-lip apologetically and tucked stray locks behind her ear. "So…"

"I'll be on an airship tomorrow morning," she immediately said, her excitement rising by the second. "A-and we can celebrate with a nice dinner too! Maybe go see a movie? You know, after the mission? Or maybe before? Or—"

"Neon," Ruby gently, but effectively, intervened. "There's no rush. We have all the time in the world now. So let's just focus on getting you over here tomorrow. Okay?"

"Yeah, okay! Okay. Yeah." Her tail was flexing and curling. "I can't wait!"

"Me neither." The noise in the background suddenly spiked and Neon could make out Ruby's teammates and friends. "Welp, I guess time's up. I'll see you tomorrow, Neon! Love you!"

"Love you too! See ya!" They blew each other a kiss before the call ended and Neon slid back against the wall with a sigh.

"You really can't wait huh?" Flynt smirked at her. "Can't blame you."

"It's been a while since last time we saw each other. We've got some catching up to do~"

He chuckled. "Yeah, I get it. So what now? Wanna hit the club or nah?"

She thought about it for a moment. "I think I'm gonna head home, celebrate with the folks. I've got to prepare for tomorrow too after all."

"Fair enough. I'll just go clubbing by myself then," he said and laughed before hugging Neon. "Don't be a stranger now, girl."

"We'll always be friends, you silly goose. Maybe you can join us when we go on missions down in Vale some time." She hugged him back. "See ya around, Flynt."

"Catch you later, Neon!"

They went their separate ways outside the academy. Neon speeded through to one of the airbuses and got on, eager to get home and begin planning for tomorrow.

Finally, this relationship would stop being a long-distance.

The party her parents had thrown her to celebrate had been wonderful what with relatives coming over as well. The family was evenly divided whether Neon would (or should) join the military or go freelance despite how adamantly she reaffirmed that she, in fact, wouldn't be joining the Atlas army. Before the night was over she had booked an airship ticket to Vale fairly in the early morning and already packed most of the essentials.

The next morning she was good to go and promptly left with a spring in her step. She had done this so many times by now that it was basically a routine.

Her heart was racing with anticipation. At long last they could be together without having to plan weeks or months ahead of time.

Finally.

x.x.x

Much like every other time Neon had arrived in Vale she dashed with her rollerblades through the crowds the moment she had all of her bags.

She scoured the sea of people as per usual, her heart racing a mile a minute—

"Neon!"

She immediately turned to the direction of that sweet voice and instinctively prepared for a sudden embrace, and not a second sooner was she overwhelmed by a torrent of rose petals along with the rich fragrance, and wrapped her arms tightly around a slim waist.

"Ruby!" She buried her face in the crook of the sniper's neck. "Gods…I've missed you…! I've missed you so much."

"Mm…I missed you too. You have no idea."

"I think I do, actually." She pulled back, took a firm look at Ruby's gorgeous face, and soundly kissed her without delay. The contact was like a bolt of fire, a gravitational pull that drew tem in. "Oh gods…"

"I've waited so long to do that again," Ruby exclaimed huskily. "It's so good to see you again."

"Rich back at ya, babe." Neon kissed her again. "Mm…So, did you have fun last night?"

"Incredibly so! We went out with JNPR for a few hours before we headed home. Dad wanted to throw us a party, but since we were out so late it..." She chuckled. "Let's just say it was superfluous, but it was fun all the same. Everyone ended up staying over for the night, but they've since cleared out."

Neon laughed. "Gotcha. You mentioned your sis and Blake going to Menagerie and Weiss heading home."

"Yep! And team JNPR left about an hour ago and dad went on his trip so…" She wiggled her eyebrows. "Head home, dump your bags, and make up for lost time?"

"You're starting to act like me. I love it." She kissed Ruby softly. "Anything else planned or are we going to spend the day, evening, and night in your bed?"

"Well there's a new club that opened up recently. It's not that far away. I was thinking we go visit it tonight; I think you'll love it."

"Now you've got me all curious~" Neon sing-sung. "How about we save Lien on the trip to and from Patch and just check in a hotel for today?"

Ruby rolled her eyes and snickered. "Oh fine. You convinced me."

x.x.x

Later that night the pair (after a romantic dinner) had headed to the new club Ruby mentioned. It was smack in the middle of the City of Vale, called `Primrose Path´.

Ruby had been right; Neon absolutely loved it. The club was right up her alley! It gave most Atlas clubs a run for their money. While they weren't dressed for the occasion neither didn't care all too much; they were there to have fun and fun is what they had for hours on end.

The sniper's dancing had gotten better even if there still was room for improvement. Neon opted to keep her mouth shut and simply enjoyed herself as the pair cut loose after months of separation and studies.

However, eventually the club wasn't enough. Despite their passionate coitus earlier the two of them felt the magnetic heat once again evident in their dancing; perhaps it was partly due to the alcohol (which Ruby couldn't quite handle it seemed) or they were just that touch-starved, but their priorities shifted over the course of the night bit by bit until the desire was too strong to deny.

They left and headed back to the hotel for Neon's bags. While the idea of simply staying there overnight was tempting, it would be a Lien-sink, and so the pair decided – perhaps against better judgement – to take a quick airbuss back to Patch.

x.x.x

Ruby fumbled with the keys against the lock on the front door whilst kissing Neon. She was practically on her as the Faunus hugged her close, but eventually the door was unlocked and the couple stumbled inside, and kicked the door shut behind them.

Like a waltz they spun across the room, hands pawing at articles of clothing and shedding them bit by bit, leaving a trail behind them as they made it upstairs to Ruby's room. Their tongues danced a slower dance, not of dominance, but out of need – a wanton desire for physical stimulation, a scorching hot display of affection that needed to be quenched.

Their coitus at the hotel had been slow, romantic, and tender; a savoured moment in time. But it hadn't been enough for them and instead it had opened the floodgates for the insanely strong need to unashamedly fuck.

It had been too long. Definitely touch-starved and in dire need to sate it.

By the time they had reached the sniper's room they were at least functionally nude, their underwear and skirts forgotten somewhere along the stairs. Ruby pushed Neon back and the Faunus hit the bed with the back of her legs, promptly falling onto the edge which was what Ruby had wanted. She crawled over on all fours, a fire burning in her silver eyes, and without further ado fixated solely on the Faunus' throbbing shaft.

She pursed her lips against the swollen gland and Neon threw her head back with a shiver. Ruby kissed the tip, each one wetter than the last, before she added her tongue. There was no teasing build-up in her ministrations; she swirled her tongue around the head, then along its underside down to the seam of her balls, and finally took the first inch inside her mouth.

Neon would've purred if she could. The wet heat felt so damn good over her cock. Her shaft throbbed, pleasure running through the length and back to her spine, and her legs trembled. The urge to pump her hips was too tantalizing and before she knew it she was thrusting her cock deeper inside Ruby's mouth.

The sniper didn't seem to mind. Though she rested a hand on Neon's thigh she bobbed her head over the musky organ while stimulating her own sex. She alternated between suction and licking, keeping her girlfriend right at the edge even as Neon gently thrusted, desperate to cum.

"Ruby…oh Brothers, Ruby…! It feels so good…!" She uttered, her voice husky and breathless. She could only image what face she was making right now, but judging from the way Ruby looked up at her it was turning her own further if the way she stimulated herself was of any indication.

She winked up at her and bobbed her head, taking Neon's cock deeper inside of her mouth until the Faunus was certain that she was reaching the back of her throat, and sucked. Neon let out a lengthy moan, pleasure reverberating over her shaft.

Ruby grasped whatever inches weren't inside of her mouth and slowly stroked, adding to the bliss. Neon tautened, the heat between her loins growing hotter by the second the more Ruby sucked and jerked in tandem. She didn't know just how long they had been at it now, but her orgasm was swiftly approaching-

She fisted Ruby's dark tresses and pulled her face down, closer to her groin, and bucked her hips. Pleasure struck like a tidal wave, a sudden rush and just as strong, and she ejaculated inside of Ruby's oral orifice with a hiss.

Her cock throbbed. Spurted milky discharge in quick ropes which pooled inside the sniper's mouth before she swallowed and sucked, still jerking the Faunus off and prolonging the euphoria.

It felt like an eternity. Ruby pulled back, licking the head, and Neon fell back, panting and basking in the afterglow.

Ruby wiped her mouth. "That was a lot. As usual."

"Heh…Sorry."

"Don't be. I just hope you're still ready to go." Standing up, Ruby spread her legs just enough to reveal her dripping slit. Even in the dark it glistened with excitement, but Ruby knew Neon could see it clear as day. "I can't wait anymore."

Neon smirked. Her shaft hadn't even softened a little. She leaned up and reached out, grabbing Ruby's hand, and led her into bed. She pushed her gently onto her back and the sniper splayed her legs wide.

Her cock pressed against wet labia lips and slipped inside effortlessly. The pair let out a string of moans in unison, finally connected, made whole, and Neon slowly sheathed her length inside Ruby's pussy until she was fully in down to the base.

They savoured the moment, however briefly. They kissed, hugged each other closer, and became one.

Then, Neon moved. Not slowly nor gently, but in a sudden, wanton pounding.

The bed groaned beneath them, old as it was. The bedsprings flexed repeatedly in response to Neon's thrusts and Ruby clutched at the mattress and her lover alike until her knuckles turned white from the strain as she took everything Neon had to give with a litany of ecstatic utterances that rung throughout the house.

White-hot pleasure broke out over their bodies in scorching ripples. In the midst of their passionate coitus they kissed and traded sweet nothings through perverse, twisted words, desperate to make the most of this first night of many while they still had the house to themselves and make up for lost time.

Neon pounded into her faster and rougher. Her cock reached deep, down to the base, with each thrust and hit those sweet spots that made Ruby clench up and buck into her with a shudder. Nails and teeth scratched and nipped at flushed, sweaty skin and the room was filled with moans rising in volume as pleasure mounted stronger as the minute ticked away.

Their hairs were dishevelled her voices hoarse. Neon thrusted faster to both of their gratifications as lovers of speed and Ruby bucked and arched beneath her, meeting her thrusts as best as she could while firmly pinned to and pressed into the mattress. Her sex clenched, inner walls clamping down on the pulsating, rigid shaft each time Ruby saw stars from the way it hit just right.

"Ruby..!" Neon's voice was throaty, feral. "I'm…!"

Ruby merely hugged her close, pressed into her and kissed her, and locked her legs behind the Faunus' lower back. Neon's tail curled tightly around the sniper's ankles, effectively locking them further, as Neon hammered fervently until ecstasy washed over them both.

Neon broke the deep kiss and let out a guttural moan as every muscle in her body tautened. Her cock thrashed and Ruby's pussy tightened as she too tensed up at the peak of her climax. Neon threw her head back as she ejaculated, spurting copious amount of hot seed for what felt like a solid minute, filling the sniper up. The pleasure was a sweltering wave across her body. She didn't move; only her shaft twitched and quivered inside of Ruby's feminine channel as she rode out her high.

The heat evaporated, leaving only a pleasant chill of the afterglow. The pair cuddled, taking the time to breathe, and for the moment felt sated enough.

"Brothers…we really needed this." Ruby let out a tired chuckle and stroked Neon's back. "You okay?"

"Yeah. Just…catching my breath." She nuzzled Ruby's throat and gently kissed the skin. "This was way overdue."

"It showed." They shared a laugh and kissed. "…You're still hard."

"Mhm."

"…And your tail is still coiled around my ankles."

"Uhu."

Neon adjusted her hips and Ruby's eyes nearly rolled back. "O-oh…!"

The Faunus nipped at the column of Ruby's shoulder as she began to move her hips again.

Time certainly had flown by them in a hurry. Neon could hardly believe it. The two of them had been together for years now –been through a lot together, rain and shine.

It was insane how much time had gone by so fast – Time had a funny way of passing by you without you noticing sometimes. Photos neatly hung in an arc over Ruby's and Neon's bed, each one marking an anniversary, a milestone, of their lives together, and Neon had made counted down the days for this one in particular.

Neon had thought of everything to make tonight special; she had pampered the sniper all day to starting with breakfast in bed, a full-body massage, baked cookies for her, and would end the night by taking her out to dinner for their anniversary. She had been active to the point that Ruby hadn't gotten to do much for her, but that was fine; a few rounds of passionate, wild coitus afterwards had been more than enough for the Faunus who wished for nothing more than to make her darling girlfriend feel even more special.

As far as Ruby knew, this was "simply" another anniversary, but Neon had other plans. Saving up Lien from missions, having a talk with Mr. Xiao Long and Yang, her own parents, and keeping things secret had been arduous, but worth it!

Safely hidden in a secret compartment of Neon's desk was a small box – small enough to fit in the palm of your hand – and inside was a ring. While it was not made from the most expensive and exotic of materials, it was beautifully engraved and fitting to share Ruby's name, and hopefully the sniper would be wearing it by the end of the night.

So Neon planned and went through the details repeatedly – had been for the past week – and ensured nothing would go wrong. She triple-checked the reservations (at a restaurant they've visited more than once called `House of Autumn Leaves´), ensured for the full month that both of them were healthy and well, and double-checked so she hadn't forgotten anything before they leave their house that evening.

She had opted for a suit and tie for the occasion with her hair slicked back and wounded into a ponytail. She looked a bit more butch than she liked, but it was nice every once in a while to not wear dresses. Besides, Ruby seemed to like the look a lot, and she herself looked absolutely gorgeous in dresses!

Tonight Ruby wore a one-shoulder dress that, in contrast to her air, was midnight-black and gradated to a beautiful crimson to the bottom. She had gotten more accustomed to heels, but still wasn't their biggest fan. Her hair, having grown a bit over the years, was neatly cascading over her shoulders, slightly curly at the tips, and her lipstick and makeup was faint at best including her scarlet eyeshadow she had chosen for the evening. To top it off, she wore those earrings.

"You look absolutely stunning," she told her and that was an understatement.

"And you look really cool and dapper," Ruby said and giggled. "So no dress tonight huh?"

"I flipped a Lien for it. Suit and tie it is," Neon jokingly replied. "Are you all set?"

"Yep! Pretty much!"

"Perfect." Neon's lips curled neatly into a confident smile and her heart skipped a beat. She quickly checked her pockets; wallet? Check. Keys? Check. Scroll? Check! "Then, like, let's head on out, shall we?"

Ruby giddily hugged Neon's proffered arm on their way out and the Faunus' heart began to hammer against her ribcage in a way that it never had before.

Anticipation. Fear. Excitement. Doubt. The maelstrom of emotions was churning beneath Neon's bubbly and cheerful self, and it was on the brink of breaking. She didn't think Ruby had any reason to say No, but the dreaded ´What if` did linger and fester at the back of Neon's mind.

Tonight was a gamble, that much was certain…and Neon was just as eager as she was afraid of what Ruby's answer would be.

The autumn atmosphere of the restaurants – colours, décor, and lighting – was as beautiful and cozy as always; candles provided ample illumination and the ceiling lamps were dimmed so it wouldn't be too bright. It made dinners more romantic and Neon had planned for just that.

They had a table on the upper floor of the building with a view down on other tables, a section that offered more privacy with the fewer number of tables and the space between them. Banners with autumn leaves prints hung neatly from above and gave off a feeling of being outside.

Perfect. Everything was going smoothly so far.

"It's always so nice here," Ruby commented as she looked around and down over the railing. "I don't think we've ever had a table up here though. Kinda remote."

"A bit of privacy doesn't hurt, right?" Neon asked innocently. Her heart was thumping.

Ruby giggled. "Nope! It's kinda nice!"

"For sure." Her tail flicked and curled. "Tonight is all about us after all."

The sniper turned to look at her, a shy smile curving her supple lips and a blush shading her fair cheeks.

Their waitress arrived not long after with their respective orders of main courses: a pan-seared filet mignon with boiled potatoes and vegetables, and a pan-fried salmon with salad and potatoes.

The food, as always, had been cooked to perfection with flavour that danced in harmony over your taste-buds, from appetizers to desserts, and Neon thanked the brother gods for how smoothly things had kept going so far.

Now came the difficult part – the crucial part of the entire day. Everything hinged on this. There were no room for errors.

Neon studied Ruby's face and noting all of the details like she was meeting her for the first time again back at Beacon's Vytal Festival. Her poor heart was racing frantically and it was suddenly a bit difficult to breath.

She cleared her throat. "Say, Ruby…We've been together for a while now-"

"Yep! Academy sweethearts as they say! And to think we would've missed out on all of this if we hadn't met at the Vytal Festival…"

"Yeah," Neon admitted. "And that's why I've considered myself extremely lucky that I did get to meet you – that we became friends. There hasn't gone a day since then without me having thought back on that time. And that is why I wanted to make tonight as special as possible."

"Oh, it's been special for sure! I kinda feel spoiled, especially since you didn't let me do anything for you."

Neon grinned at her. "But you did though, didn't you?"

Ruby rolled her eyes and shook her head, still smiling. "You know what I mean. This is supposed to be our special day and you've made it all about me. I feel bad you know."

"I understand," Neon replied and reached over the table to interlock her fingers with Ruby's, and gently squeezed. "But I had my reasons. After all, while this is our day to celebrate, I'd like to mark this day further as a…new beginning, shall we say? Like, a new chapter or even a whole new book."

Ruby eyed her, puzzled. "I think you lost me there."

"Then how about I show you instead?" Neon's heart raced like a speeding bullet and she took a moment to swallow the lump in her throat. "It's not easy to find the words for this, so forgive me if it sounds corny; I'm doing my best here. But this should be, like, super clear…"

Without relinquish her grasp, Neon got up from her seat and stepped around the table, in front of Ruby, whose silver eyes first narrowed quizzically before widening considerably as Neon went down on one knee. "N-Neon…!"

"Ruby Rose," she began, her voice threatening to break. She could tell people from the other tables began to notice what was going on. "I consider myself lucky to have met you and these past years have made me happier than I've ever been before. We've had our fights, sure, but every day when I wake up and see you next to me I'm reminded of why I love you. When we go to sleep I feel safe, knowing that you are right there beside me." She giggled and shook her head. "So many things I want to say and yet…I swear, it sounds so corny when I say it out loud…"

"No…!" Ruby reached out and cupped Neon's cheek tenderly with a quivering hand. "No it doesn't. I know exactly what you're talking about; I feel the same way!"

Her heart pounded fiercely.

"Then," Neon continued, elated yet nervously, as she fished up the small box from her pocket and one-handedly flipped it open. "Will you make me the happiest woman on Remnant, and in turn allow me to make you just as happy, and marry me?"

Silver eyes locked onto the ring, then back to Neon, wide and welling up with tears. Ruby's lips quivered, a silent gasp escaping past them before she finally managed a loud squeal. "YES! Yes, yes, yes, YES! I accept!"

"R-Really?!" Neon's tail flicked and curled enthusiastically, and her face broke out into a beaming smile. "W-Wow! Yes! I, uh, don't know what else to say! I'm so happy right now!"

Ruby just laughed. More people were turning their heads and soon people began to break out into cheers when Ruby threw herself into Neon's waiting arms, ring firmly placed around her finger.

Months of planning their perfect wedding went by quicker than anticipated. For the amount of planning that went into it the reception was relatively simple and small, attended by their parents and closest friends only in Atlas in a remote location with a stunning view of the snowy tundra below to match their tearful exchange of vows. Ruby and Neon had both opted for beautiful dresses, custom-made by Coco herself as a gift, each specifically designed with colours and patterns fitting their respective wearer. When Ruby had thrown the rose bouquet, it was Blake who had snatched it (with some help from her Semblance) with no small amount of sneering at the other women before locking eyes with her girlfriend and Ruby's sister, Yang.

The dinner had been wonderful with a small round of speeches held by Neon's father, Taiyang, Yang, and Flynt, ranging from emotional tearjerkers to hilarious anecdotes that no-one would soon forget. The evening had been topped off with a dance and as the newlyweds slow danced in the middle of the small crowd, they whispered another vow to each other – a vow for their ears only.

Not long after that day the pair had gone on their honeymoon – a gift "from everyone" but chiefly Weiss – which was a two week trip through Mistral to Menagerie before they returned home. And what a honeymoon it had been with beautiful sights and the passionate nights they had had during their trip.

And in the years that followed the couple would recreate this honeymoon with the same lustful fervour as the first time, if perhaps even more so, and just as romantically passionate in every other aspect.

"Are they here yet? Are they here yet?"

Neon giggled. "Not yet, my little bundle of joy. They'll ring the doorbell, you know."

"Then I will wait right here at the door!"

"I'm sure they will happy to have you welcome them," Neon added with a soft laugh as she petted the little tyke's head and headed out into the kitchen. She wrapped her arms around Ruby from behind and tenderly kissed the younger woman's temple. "Need any help, honey?"

"I'm fine, I just need to put the chicken in the oven." Ruby turned around and pressed her lips to Neon's, an arm around the Faunus' waist and a hand buried in ginger locks. "Mm…Is the table set?"

"Check," Neon replied with a wink.

"For all thirteen of our guests as well?" She asked, amused, as her wife rolled her eyes good-naturedly.

"Yes, honey. I didn't forget."

"Good. Mm…" They shared another kiss. "And our daughter?"

"At the door, eager to be the one who opens it." They softly laughed together. "She keeps asking for them. It's adorable."

"Well they should be here any moment. The snowstorm outside wasn't as bad as the weather report first thought so—"

The doorbell then rang, loud and clear and right on que, and a delighted mewl quickly followed. "I get it I get it I get it!"

Ruby and Neon laughed. "Go ahead, Bouquet!"

Bouquet Rose-Katt: an energetic seven-year-old, with messy ginger hair gradating into red at the tips, tied into a small ponytail. Her tail, similar to her mother, Neon, curled and flexed as the tyke enthusiastically, with the help of a chair, reached for the doorknob and opened up the door.

"Well well, what do we have here? Looks like a little rascal to me!" Taiyang exclaimed with a hearty chuckle as he scooped up the little tyke in his arms.

"Grandpa!" Bouquet threw her tiny arms around her grandpa's neck with glee. "You're here, you're here!"

"Of course, there's no way I wouldn't want to miss spending the Winter Holidays with my grandkids!"

"Hey, kiddo," Yang intervened as she stepped inside and ruffled her niece's hair. "Don't forget about us. You haven't forgotten your favourite aunties and cousin, have you?"

"Auntie Yang! Auntie Blake!" Almost immediately, Bouquet squirmed to break free of Taiyang's embrace. "I missed you!"

"Heya." Yang chuckled and hugged the girl tightly. "Mm…It's so good to see you. Have you grown since I last saw you or is that my imagination?"

"Nuh-uh! I've grown a lot! Mom said so!"

"Then it must be true," Blake commented and chuckled when she became the next person to hug her niece. "Oof. Yep, you've definitely grown since last, Bouquet."

Ruby stepped out of the kitchen, apron off, and went to hug her father. "Hi, dad. Glad the snowstorm didn't cause your flight any trouble."

"Hi, sweetheart." He hugged her back and pressed a kiss to her brow. "The trip was fine, but the weather sure gets rougher once you enter Solitas airspace. How are you?"

Ruby giggled. "Can't complain!"

"Mommy! Can me and Atropa play videogames? Can we, can we?"

Ruby smiled at her child; the little tyke was clutching onto her cousin's hand – Atropa Belladonna-Xiao Long, a year younger than Bouquet, with Yang's lilac eyes and Blake's hair and Faunus trait, save for a single blonde streak – and looked up at her mother with pleading, wide eyes.

She looked over back into the kitchen where Neon was about to leave, then back over at her sister and teammates. "Oh alright, but we'll be eating soon! I don't want any fuss from you two that you have to pause, okay?"

"Okay!" Bouquet joyfully exclaimed and practically dragged Atropa away into her room.

"You know they will fuss about having to quit so soon anyway," Yang commented and pulled her sister into a hug next.

"Yeah I know. Good to see you too, Yang, Blake!"

"It's been a little while; you could've have settled for somewhere a little closer?" Blake joked as she was next to hug the sniper whilst the rest traded greetings with Neon.

Ruby playfully scoffed. "Hey! The compromise is that we live in Atlas, but we visit you guys way more often! The least you can do is to come over for the Winter Holidays for a big feast and snowy landscape!"

"Yeah, yeah, we know." Yang waved it off with a grin. "Speaking of snowy landscapes; has Weiss and her family made it yet?"

Neon laughed. "Nah, they're fashionably late as always! Much like my parents."

"More food for us then!" Yang exclaimed.

"Calm down, Yang. They'll show up soon enough I'm sure," Taiyang commented. "Do you need any help in the kitchen?"

"Nah, we're just waiting for the chicken." She glanced around. "So, is there a reason that Uncle Qrow is not here…?"

Her father shrugged. "Oh, right. He apparently had something to do, but he'll be here in time. Or so he said."

"Aw man…Oh well." Ruby shook her head. "I'll save some food for him in case he ends up being really late."

"I'm sure he'll appreciate it, given his track record," Blake, amused, said. "So, Ruby, Neon, anything interesting that happened since last we met?"

The couple traded knowing glances. "Well, there is one thing that we wanted you to see for yourselves—"

The doorbell chimed. Blake, who was closest to the door, reached for it when a brilliant, multi-coloured flash suddenly lit up the room with a trail of what looked like prismatic shards of glass in its wake.

"Whoa!"

"What the—"

"My eyes!"

"I get I get it I get it!" Bouquet practically chanted as she opened the door. "Auntie Weiss!"

"Oh hello little Bouquet!" Weiss immediately pulled the little girl into a hug. "Were you that excited to see me?"

"Uhuh uhuh uhuh!"

"She's been looking forward to meeting you all again," Ruby said, amused. "Hello and welcome, Schnee family!"

"Good evening, Ruby," Winter greeted as she and the rest of her family gradually stepped inside. "Pardon our tardiness, some of us took their time getting ready."

"I will not be held responsible for making myself presentable," Whitley immediately spoke up and adjusted his tie.

Yang cleared her throat. "Yes yes people are late, who cares, can we talk about my niece real quick? What was that flash just now?"

"What flash?" Weiss arched an eyebrow.

"Weiss, dear, you're standing right in the hallway," Willow piped in.

"Right as you rang the doorbell there was this bright flash and Bouquet was just…here! Like at the blink of an eye!"

"Wait, really?"

Neon and Ruby shared a laugh. "Our daughter gained a Semblance pretty early."

"She did?!" Yang exclaimed. "Congrats you little rascal!"

"Congratulations, Bouquet," Blake joined in.

"You're joking. Really?" Weiss snickered. "That's amazing, Bouquet!"

The little tyke beamed, her tail flicking in response. Later that evening, once Uncle Qrow had arrived with booze and unexpected company, Bouquet showed them all a series of demonstrations of her Semblance with great pride, but not greater than the pride that Ruby and Neon had for their daughter.

The two of them never would have thought of themselves as parents, but Neon was forever glad that she had taken the chance and asked Ruby out all those years ago. A life without Ruby, even as a friend, seemed dull and pointless in Neon mind now as she hosted a big dinner with her wife.

And judging by Ruby's knowing glances, paired with a tender smile, it was safe to say that Ruby felt the same.
