A/N- So welcome to the Fanfic! Disclaimers T/W for graphic violence in this chapter, it might not be that graphic but better safe than sorry. Also for context, this all takes place from Naruto Shippuden episode 458 at about 10:00 give or take a few minutes. Anyways, enjoy!
As the bright, shining rays of light from the moon started to dim and the infinite Tsukuyomi began to settle in the worlds state of enforced peace, Sasuke's Susanoo unfurled its wings like a curtain for the new stage which had been set with the cast prepared to go. That cast being made up of Sasuke Uchiha and Naruto Uzumaki, the reincarnates of Ashura and Indra, the wielders of the sage powers of shadow and light, the heroes of this story, supported by Kakashi and Sakura who were ready to see out the end of this dramatic opera depicting the fate of the entire shinobi world.
Once the deep, purple light slowly faded, the now reunited team 7 turned to face the ultimate antagonist, Madara Uchiha who had already gained power similar to Hagoromo Otsutsuki, the Sage of Six Paths powers including the chakra of the husk from the Ten Tails, the Divine Tree, along with the pair of rinnegan that he had awoken so late in his previous life. Just behind him stood the lifeless body of Obito Uchiha, suspended only by the power of Black Zetsu which was the same power that was now in full control of Obito's body as well as his visual prowess, Kamui, and going up against the jutsu on top of fighting Madara terrified Kakashi. This feeling almost paralysed him as he knelt there on the floor not even able to think about standing up just yet with the burning pain emanating from his chest wound. He turned his head to see Sakura, the kunoichi he trained as a part of team 7, a student of one of the legendary Sannin, and a girl whose love knew no bounds, along with himself, step back away from Madara and Zetsu and away from the two people she cared about most, her comrades from squad 7, Naruto and Sasuke who were the only hopes for the allied shinobi forces of winning this war. Kakashi thought that she would be a useful asset to their strength, being the only conventional medical ninja and one who has mastered the One Hundred Healings jutsu and in the case of Naruto getting injured then she would be the only one who could heal him if he couldn't do it himself. Kakashi knew that Sakura needed to focus on fight at hand but could he blame her for acting on the fear that he himself felt alongside her, if he thought about the situation from his and her perspective then they were in the middle of a battle between beings with almost god like power, they were no more than mere nuisances to them, they were even stronger than the first Hokage, Hashirama Senju, who was renowned as the God of Shinobi so if they had more power than even him, what chance did Sakura and Kakashi have of defeating them.
However, before Kakashi could let these disastrous thoughts run rampant, he closed his eyes and took a deep breath to remind himself that he was a shinobi, and he should start acting like one. When he opened his eyes again, he felt a fierce determination run through his body, boiling his blood, he would find a way to help Naruto and Sasuke with all the power he himself contained, his intelligence along with his skill could be used to win this war, and he knew for certain that he needed to get Sakura back into this fight because with her strength, he was sure they could win. Against the intense cries of pain screaming from every part of his body, Kakashi stood up and placed his hand on Sakura's back to stop her from moving back any further. He did his best to come across in a reassuring manner, but it didn't help that all his limbs were trembling just from the unified effort of standing up and the attempt to stay that way. His trembling, however, was no match for hers as Kakashi felt her spine shiver like it was lost deep in the land of snow, he could feel all the chakra flow erratically around her body alongside her blood as her breaths matched her heartbeat and she started to hyperventilate. She took short, sporadic breaths with different lengths, there was just no rhythm to her breathing and if Kakashi didn't do anything soon then she'd most likely pass out. Kakashi had seen this before, with Naruto and ironically it was Sakura who had caused it. It was a panic attack, and a severe one at that, but Kakashi couldn't blame the poor girl, most people would either run off screaming or become completely paralysed with fear if they were ever unfortunate enough to come face to face with Madara Uchiha, wielding the power of the rinnegan and the Ten Tails. Kakashi had to do something, anything to help her.
And as Sakura fell backwards in surprise at the sensation of his hand touching her back, Kakashi caught her with his other arm.
"Sakura! Snap out of it! We need you to stay calm and to keep fighting, our lives depend on it!" Kakashi assured her.
It seemed to work as she took a deep breath and stood up straight. As Kakashi turned to face the enemy he heard a loud slap sound come from right next to him and as he turned back, he saw the pale skin of Sakura's cheeks tinged red after she had slapped herself with both hands to help her regain focus, the copy ninja presumed.
"Now" Sakura exclaimed "How do we go about beating this guy?" she asked loudly, almost rhetorically.
"We don't" Sasuke replied dryly, making Sakura's head drop at his lack of faith in her strength. "But Naruto and I will"
"Then Sakura and I will go after Black Zetsu in order to help you guys focus on Madara" Kakashi declared.
"But Kakashi-sensei, are you even able to fight in your condition?" Naruto asked him sincerely, worried about his teacher.
"Well probably not" Kakashi admitted. "But I have to do all that I can to make sure that you can win your fight, that is my duty as your teacher" he clenched his fist in determination.
With all their focus regained, the squad of shinobi prepared to charge the enemy but before they could make their move Naruto felt a disturbing feeling coming from Black Zetsu as his sage mode chakra could detect his malicious intent. What was strange about it though was that it wasn't directed towards himself or anyone of his teammates, however it was aimed right at Madara himself. Without thinking Naruto's right arm pulled back in order to throw the Rasenshuriken that he conjured in his open hand at the top of his swing before he hurled it forward with all his strength towards Black Zetsu, who was just about to punch through the back of Madara but instead had to use the visual prowess of the body he was controlling to slip through the jutsu that flew straight through his chest as if it wasn't there, which technically speaking it wasn't.
Now that he couldn't physically make contact with Madara to puncture his chest and release Kaguya, Black Zetsu prepared to fight Madara himself, only to realise how lucky he was as Madara hadn't caught on to his betrayal. After Naruto's attack, he and Sasuke charged forwards, towards Madara looking to seal him and his power with the jutsu the Sage of Six paths bestowed onto them. Black Zetsu smirked at this turn of events as he thought that, maybe he could catch Madara off guard whilst he fights the two of them, but again he was wrong as he didn't manage to see Sakura charging forward, with her fist raised, fast enough before she connected with his poor face as his neck then jerked sideways and the rest of his body followed through the air with it.
When she looked back up, Sakura couldn't help but feel a little proud of herself after she got quite a strong hit on her opponent, only to turn around to see Naruto and Sasuke manage to force Madara to fight on the defensive but at the cost of their own stamina. With their chests pounding and their breathing heavy, Sakura's feeling of pride took a faceplant as she thought about how those two were pushing themselves to the brink of their godly powers, and she was barely able to get a good hit on a combatant that's weaker than Madara.
Before she could raise her spirits, she had to defeat the body of Obito Uchiha and its puppeteer, Black Zetsu, who she thought was only about 50 yards ahead of her, she was sure that he had landed that far away before but now he was nowhere to be seen and when the reality of the situation hit her, it was almost too late as she heard the vortex sound of the Kamui behind her and turned to see Obito's lifeless hand stretch out towards her like a marionette and just as it was about to reach her and his body fully materialised, a kunai sunk itself through Obito's right bicep and poked through the inside of his arm.
"Sakura! Get back!" she heard Kakashi yell, as her eyes fixed on the corner of the paper bomb that was tied to the kunai which started to disintegrate rapidly. She activated her mitotic seal before the explosion went off but was unlucky enough to be knocked back a few dozen metres from the blast.
Lying on her back trying to get her bearings together she looked up to see Kakashi engage in taijutsu combat with Obito's corpse, fending him off for the most part, but she could tell it was hard for him to continue on with his body aching from all his wounds and all the mental stress he must have been under, having to fight the body of an old friend whose being controlled by a cruel enemy.
In the distance behind that fight was the bright, shining light of Naruto's Sage of Six Paths chakra, zigzagging through the air as he kept up with Madara's speed whilst she could see Sasuke watch at a distance for the openings that Naruto would create with his taijutsu skills. At certain points, Sasuke would seemingly teleport in order to deliver a blow to Madara, usually failing to deal any real, lasting damage, as he would sometimes be stopped in mid-air without any contact from Madara, from Sakura's point of view, and Naruto would always scramble to fight that same thing in order to help Sasuke get away.
However, there was one moment where they finally managed to deal a solid strike to Madara. Through Naruto's excellent close quarters fighting he used his truth-seeker orbs in the shape of rods to fend of Madara's staff and force it away from his body, when Sasuke saw this, he switched places with Naruto using his rinnegan's ability, then lunged forward past Madara with a Chidori mixed with the sage chakra he obtained from Hagoromo Otsutsuki and he managed to deliver a powerful slash through Madara's body, leaving a deep gash on his upper chest.
"Damn! I missed his neck by a few inches, not good enough" Sasuke criticised himself for his error.
As Madara's wound healed, he turned back to Sasuke ready to kill him and whilst he was distracted by the need to pay his descendant back for almost killing him, Naruto made his move. He flew straight for Madara with his rod raised and aimed at his heart.
Madara screamed in pain and thrashed wildly with half of Naruto's truth-seeker rod in his chest, right where his heart should've been. Naruto grabbed Sasuke and retreated, knowing they couldn't make their move just yet, not with their target aware of their strategy.
"Ahh!" Madara screamed as he pulled out the rod and it hit the ground with a heavy thud.
"It seems that I'll need even more power than I had originally envisioned for this task" Madara told himself as he prepared to absorb more chakra from the tree of life.
As his hands touched the ground in his kneeling position, he could feel all the chakra from across the world flow into him, bit by bit, and he could feel the new power he was obtaining. He couldn't help but laugh maniacally at the idea of all this power he had gained in such a short space of time, considering he had been dead just a short while ago.
Meanwhile, kilometres away, across the battlefield, in the aftermath of the divine tree's roots' reclamation of the world, the four resurrected Hokage had managed to rendezvous at the first's body which was still impaled by Madara's rods.
"Well elder brother, it seems that you've gotten yourself into quite the problematic situation, haven't you?" Tobirama remarked with a big smirk on his face.
"Lord Second, is this really the time to be making jokes?" Hiruzen asked his predecessor.
"Lords Second and Third, we really must figure out a way to remove these rods from Lord First, especially since I'm kind of umm… unarmed at the moment" The fourth Hokage tried to keep all his smirking and giggling internal only to fail as a few managed to escape his lips. He was met with the disapproving face of the third Hokage and the stern glare of the second Hokage.
"Oh come on Hiruzen, Tobirama! The Fourth's joke was a good one!" The first Hokage managed to get out in between his hearty bellows.
"However, the problem still remains that we are not able to remove these rods with our current power… wait a second! What is that?" Minato sensed a strange, unknown yet familiar feeling chakra appearing out of, what seemed like, almost thin air behind Hashirama.
Behind the immobilised Senju, the air started to shimmer and slowly began to take the shape of a humanoid creature with small horns, with its legs crossed, floating in the air along with a black staff and orbs like Madara's.
"Hokage" a wise sounding voice, matching the looks of its owner, boomed.
"And who are you?" Tobirama questioned the floating apparition.
"I, am Hagoromo Otsutsuki however you would probably know me by the moniker, the Sage of Six Paths" he declared. The revelation of his identity caused each of the five Kage's jaws to drop, even the stone-cold demeanour of the Second Hokage was broken as he tried to reconcile that information.
"So… what brings you here Sage of the Six Paths?" Hashirama was the first to break the silence of the Hokage.
"I am not here per say, only my chakra is here after I used it to follow the reincarnations of my sons' chakra. I've been watching each set of reincarnates and all the battles that have ensued between them. I have used the chakra of Ashura that you possess to appear before you, Hashirama Senju" The Sage answered.
"Who is this Ashura and what do you mean by his chakra possessing elder brother?" Tobirama quickly asked.
Hagoromo went on to explain how his two sons, Indra and Ashura, were locked in an eternal struggle that spanned over different eras as their chakra's continuously reincarnate and possess the bodies of the greatest warriors of each generation. He told Hashirama that he and Madara were the previous reincarnates and how Madara was the first one to discover the awakening of the rinnegan by merging the two brothers' chakras together. All throughout his explanation, he managed to pull the rods out of the first Hokage's body and by the end of it he had managed to restore the bodies of each Hokage to their original state when they were reanimated.
"So how do we go about stopping Madara now then?" Minato asked, using his regained hands to scratch his head in thought.
"As it stands, you four are no match for Indra's reincarnate with all his current strength and the fact he still has everyone under the Infinite Tsukuyomi. However, I plan to use your chakra to contact my brother on the moon and with his power then we stand a good chance of winning." The Sage of Six Paths announced his plan to the four Hokage.
Hinata Uzumaki's day started out like any other, she woke up early in order to prepare the lunches for her husband and their two kids. It was a big day for her son as he would be going on his first mission as a genin today, Hinata left him a note, wishing him luck, with his lunch. Just when she finished packing everyone's lunches, Hinata felt a pair of hands squeeze her sides. She jumped at the feeling only to hear a mischievous giggle that was all too familiar to her.
"N-Na-Naruto, g-good morning" she moaned shyly.
"Come on, you know you should be calling me something else, since we've been married for over 10 years" he teased her.
"O-okay, D-darling" she stuttered.
Her embarrassment and matching red cheeks were met with shameless groping as she felt his arm wrap her and his hand grab her voluptuously large breast roughly. She didn't need to use her byakugan to see the smirk on his face as he continued to massage her breasts with one hand, whilst the other caressed her stomach under her top before tracing its way down towards the hem of her trousers and sneaking into her panties.
As his fingers brushed her pussy lips, Hinata felt his thumb on his other hand pressed to her mouth and gently push her jutted out bottom lip to silence her moaning.
"Now now Hinata" Naruto tutted "We can't have the kids hearing all your moans, can we? Go on and be a good girl for me" his thumb pushed apart her lips and slipped into her mouth. With this gesture, Hinata already knew what she had to do so she complied and sucked on his thumb to try and quiet her moans.
They carried on for what felt like hours to Hinata as her pleasure washed over her in waves. It wasn't until she heard the creaking of little feet coming down the stairs at a quick pace that Hinata regained her sense of time and urgency.
Thankfully, Naruto had already sensed their child rushing down to see her parents before his wife did and reacted quickly, moving his arms, bringing them down to his sides and stuffing his hands in his pocket just as his daughter rushed into the room giggling.
"Mommy! Daddy!" she screamed excitedly.
"Good morning Himawari" Naruto responded and picked her up from under her arms, lifting her up to meet face to face. She was the perfect mix of her father's face and bright blue eyes along with her mother's dark blue hair. She always seemed to be the perfect daughter, always helping out, always giggling and smiling, cheering her dad up after a long day at work and making her mother smile when they're working together on dinner.
As her husband and daughter were laughing and fooling around together, Hinata was timidly hiding her blushing face, like she used to do when she was a child whenever she saw Naruto, from them and taking deep breaths to calm herself down from her shivering arousal.
"Mommy are you ok?" her daughter asked worryingly.
"Yes dear, I'm fine" she assured her, and herself.
But as she tried to regain herself, she noticed the twitching of her husband and daughter. Their bodies were moving awkwardly, jerking around as Naruto and Himawari continued to play, her husband tickling her and Himawari's voice becoming weirdly garbled. As she tried to figure out what was going on, she saw her son come into the kitchen.
"Boruto, good morning! Did you sleep well?" Hinata asked.
To her surprise she received a dangerous glare that sent all her hairs standing straight up. Then, all of a sudden, as if a switch had been flipped, all three of her family stumbled towards her and as they reached her, she felt her daughter's gentle fist technique hit her sternum, the exact spot her cousin had hit in the chunin exams. She coughed up blood only to feel Boruto's Rasengan disappear and explode in the side of her ribs, the spot where Pain had pierced with his chakra rod when he attacked the hidden leaf village. She then felt Naruto's Rasengan forced straight through her chest, where her heart was and puncture the skin on the other side as his arm went through and came out of her back.
Feeling blood pour out of all her wounds and her life slowly drain away, the last image she saw was the cold faces of the man she loved and the children she gave birth to, empty of emotion and all she wanted with all her heart was for this nightmare to end.
Hinata's eyes snapped open to the pale visage of a humanish looking creature with byakugan mirroring her own. The grouchy face of the old man shocked her fully awake as she became clear and began to take in her surroundings. She had woken up in a white cocoon, being looked down upon by four reanimated shinobi, and not just any shinobi but the four previous Hokage. She locked eyes with Minato and couldn't help but feel a pang of jealousy at his previous question that he asked Sakura, when he asked if she was Naruto's girlfriend.
"Are you okay Hinata?" his question snapped her out of her envious thoughts.
The Second Hokage started to argue that they had more important matters to attend to other than her wellbeing, only for the first to scold him until it all led into a heated discussion about the coming battle with Madara. Hinata thought she heard something about her fighting in it and she jumped back in surprise. Were they insane? How could she even begin to try and help Naruto and the others against that enemy? Madara was simply too powerful.
All these thoughts swirled around her head at an alarming rate until the two ancient aliens interrupted the Hokages' pointless argument.
"Hinata Hyuga, as you are one of my descendants, I have chosen you to fight this forthcoming battle for the ninja world." The old man who she had woken up to declared with his booming voice.
"W-what!" She squeaked in fear.
"Do not fear child, you will be granted the chakra of my brother, Hamura in order to aid you in this fight. Using the combined power of the four Hokage here, we have brought my brother's chakra to this world from the moon to help us fight against Indra's reincarnate. However, with the amount of chakra it takes to project himself to our world, my brother's needs one of his descendants to absorb his chakra to be able to affect the battle and so that descendant would be you Hinata Hyuga." Hagaromo tried to reassure the young kunoichi.
"Hinata was it? Please, will you help my son to defeat Madara?" The fourth Hokage pleaded.
With the mention of Naruto, her heart filled with a fierce determination to act. If she could truly help him, then she would do everything in her power to use Hamura's chakra to help the man she loved overcome any enemy.
"It looks like you've made your decision, so let's get on with giving you my chakra" Hamura declared. Each of the four reanimated Hokage took up their position in a diamond formation, around Hinata and the two Otsutsuki brothers placed their shimmering hands onto each of Hinata's shoulders. As soon as the Hokage infused their chakra, she felt a surge in her own chakra as Hamura started to fade.
"Now go and defeat Madara" The Second Hokage told her as his body started to flake and vanish along with the other Hokage.
"Hinata, could you do a favour for me? Do you mind telling Naruto that me and his mother are so proud of him and, most importantly, tell him we love him so much, will you do that for me?" The fourth Hokage asked as his spirit started to rise towards the heavens.
"I will! I promise I will!" Hinata shouted back with all the joy in her heart.
With that promise made, Hinata was left all alone and now ready to face the most dangerous threat the shinobi world has ever faced. However, Hinata couldn't help but smile at the idea of simply seeing Naruto again and with a smile on her face she headed towards the images of smoke and fire along with the sounds of explosions and Naruto's battle cries.
The difference in her power due to Hamura's chakra was immediately noticed by Hinata as her byakugan allowed her to see the fighting between Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura and Kakashi against Madara and Black Zetsu, which was about 25km away as her eyes focused on Naruto's chakra which was bursting with warmth that Hinata could feel from that distance.
Hinata's clear byakugan immediately focused on Naruto's chakra aura, as he and Sasuke were locked in an endless cycle of taijutsu combinations to create openings for ninjutsu which all resulted in Madara avoiding or countering the powerful physical strikes and absorbing the powerful ninjutsu. It all seemed hopeless, yet they continued to fight, never once saying a word to each other, they almost knew where the other was and what they intended to do telepathically. On the other side of the battlefield, Sakura and Kakashi were trying to take on Black Zetsu with Kakashi playing the role of decoy and trying to use his taijutsu skills along with his shuriken jutsu to manoeuvre his opponent into certain positions for the charging Sakura to strike with her monstrous strength. However, they both had to be careful, as Kakashi attempted to stop Black Zetsu from utilising Obito's visual prowess which his dying body still possessed.
When Hinata arrived on the scene of their battle, Black Zetsu immediately sensed her chakra and locked onto her powerful presence. Similarly to their enemy, Kakashi sensed her power straight away and as soon as he got over his shock, he had immediately incorporated Hinata into his and Sakura's attack plan.
With Sakura and Hinata beside him, Kakashi stood up from his position on the ground where he had been resting on one knee, he gave the two girls a glance to almost tell them in which order they were going to attack in, then he charged onwards towards his old friend's dying body.
Black Zetsu braced himself as the three shinobi came towards him at pace, and he lunged at Kakashi first and engaged him in close combat, he threw a combination of mixed punches, low and high, to the head and to his torso. After he tried to sweep his legs, Black Zetsu caught him off guard in mid-air and delivered a strong right arm straight to his chest, after his fist connected, Kakashi vanished into a small cloud of smoke.
It was a shadow clone and Black Zetsu had fallen for it. But where was the real one then. As he thought this, Hinata followed up, using her gentle fist technique and each time he blocked her palm strikes, he felt his arms grow a bit heavier and he realised that she was starting to sever his connection with Obito's body by overloading the body's chakra points causing them to erupt chakra that started to repel against Black Zetsu. When Black Zetsu tried to reform onto his body again, Hinata ducked aside to allow the oncoming Sakura to swing her right hook with all her strength between his feet which caused the ground to tremor with vibrations and forced Black Zetsu to jump up and away from the two kunoichi. Hinata saw her chance and used her 8 trigrams 64 palms palm rotation to catch Black Zetsu's leg in the top of the chakra current and sending him into an uncontrollable flip which he just managed to land on one leg but quickly fell to his knee to steady himself.
At that moment, he thought he might have a chance to recover from their combined assault, only for the ground to crack underneath him and two gloved hands to pop out and grab onto his ankles.
"Earth style Head-hunter jutsu!" Kakashi announced as he used the force of his arms pulling his opponent into the ground, to pull himself out of the same hole.
"Aarrgh! No! I cannot fail now!" Black Zetsu responded as he tried to force open Obito's right eye to use his visual prowess. Kakashi saw his chance and took it, and by it he meant the eye. Still in his ascent out of the ground, he plunged his fingers into the eye socket of his old friend and gouged out his sharingan with his right hand, ripping it straight from the muscles that connected his eye to his body.
What followed from Kakashi's brutality was an ear-splitting wail as Obito's body twitched in agony, buried with his head the only part of him showing.
"Obito? Is that you?" Kakashi asked with his eyebrows raised, the closest anyone could tell to a shocked expression.
"Ka-kashi" Obito gasped out in a garbled voice, drops of blood started to dribble out of his mouth, joining the stream coming from his eye.
He screamed as he tried to regain control over his body, whilst also trying to keep Black Zetsu from leaving it.
"Kakashi! Go now! Go defeat Madara!" He ordered his old friend.
"But what about you Obito?" he asked him worryingly.
"I'll use my left eye to transport myself and Black Zetsu to our Kamui time space, then I'll destroy my left eye, so he'll be trapped there forever. I'm going to die anyway so I might as well die helping you my old friend" he spoke with pain in his voice, at the thought of what he did and wondering if this final act would redeem him.
"Th-Thank you Obito, tell Rin that I'm sorry but I'll see her soon" Kakashi gave his farewells with a sad smile on his face.
"Not too soon Kakashi, I think Rin and I are due for some alone time" Obito laughed at his friend's disappointed face.
"Kamui!"
And with the final moment shared with his friend, Kakashi turned to the raging battle in the distance, preparing to go and help his students. He turned again to the two kunoichi, ready to ask them to help and to explain his plan, only for the two of them to be halfway to the next battlefield already with their hearts pounding at the thought of seeing their crushes again.
Kakashi sighed as he chased after them with his aching body and heavy breaths.
When the three shinobi came to help them, Naruto and Sasuke were almost one foot in the grave just from the exhaustion of this battle. Madara always seemed to be one step ahead as he dodged, guarded and countered every one of their combined assaults. With their chakra draining, the two rivals needed to find a way to end this quickly.
Naruto turned his head to the three reinforcements and with a massive, boyish grin on his face he asked them to help Sasuke and himself to defeat Madara. Whilst Hinata took her place, excitedly, standing beside Naruto, and Sakura went to heal Kakashi whilst he discussed battle tactics with Sasuke. The strategy that they decided on, turned out to be quite effective, as Naruto lead the charge towards Madara with his ridiculous speed and newly discovered power of flight. With his and Sasuke's speed, they were the first wave of the attack with Sasuke using his sword to try and deal fatal blows whilst Naruto's taijutsu was so unpredictable that the blond used it to create openings for Sasuke's kenjutsu, whilst Naruto would aim for Madara's body and sometimes his legs to grapple, Sasuke would take advantage and aim higher, for his neck.
The difference in speed between Naruto with Sasuke and Sakura with Hinata gave the latter a chance to use the delay to their advantage to try and deliver strong blows from Sakura or disabling blows from Hinata's gentle fist technique.
As Kakashi watched from a safe-ish distance, he tried to analyse Madara with all his brain power and it took a while, but he had finally found something hopefully useful as his eyes strained and started to dry as he watched every little detail of Madara's fighting. The one helpful thing he noticed was that when Madara absorbed ninjutsu with the rinnegan, jutsu like Sasuke's Chidori and Naruto's Rasengan, he would stop whatever else he was doing for a split second, almost like he had to focus on absorbing the jutsu.
With his mind made up on what to target for their next attack, Kakashi whistled, signalling the others to form up around him facing Madara.
"Alright everyone, I have an idea that might just work" he declared, being met by their fully determined faces whilst he explained the plan to them.
And with one final stare down between Madara and the heroes of the shinobi world, their bodies trembling with every breath they took, the dirt under their boots crunching, interrupting the sound of their hearts pounding in their ears with the blood flowing through their veins with the crashing of a waterfall. Naruto's chakra fizzled as it reacted with the air around it and once the orange aura flickered ever so slightly, the five shinobi moved in sync towards their enemy.
This combination of attacks was different from those that came before, as Naruto and Sasuke attacked in unison, in an attempt to use their Sage of Six Paths sealing jutsu on Madara, however it wasn't enough even at their top speed with both of them converging on each side of Madara, he simply reacted by flying upwards. But when he reached his desired altitude, he was met by two kunai flying through the air with explosive tags trailing behind them. He could only laugh at the idea that these ninja thought they could defeat him, a being with almost the exact same power as the Sage of Six paths, with primitive ninja tools, and using his truth-seeker orb he blocked the incoming projectiles and watched them pointlessly explode, leaving their cloud of smoke.
From out the smoke came the dark blue silhouettes of two lions roaring, followed by Hinata Hyuga and the rest of her deep royal hue as she screamed out "Eight Trigrams Twin Lion Fists 64 Palms Squared!".
Hinata could feel all the chakra she had received from Hamura flow through her arms and into her fingertips and palms as her gentle fist technique was released in quick short bursts, striking against Madara's chakra points faster than he could absorb the incoming hostile chakra as he felt each individual chakra point erupt in agony at being overloaded by Hinata's chakra.
Hinata knew that she had done enough damage but still she wanted to do more to help out her friends and so with her last set of 64 she completed the combination of gentle fist style strikes by aiming for the eyes of her opponent with her first two fingers pointed. Madara could see these last strikes coming but with all the damage he had sustained from the previous 4,032 strikes to his body he couldn't protect his rinnegan which Hinata was aimed for, and even if he did manage to absorb the chakra emanating from her outstretched index and middle fingers, he still would lose his eyes to the physical force of her strikes.
So Madara was left bleeding, pretty much all over his body as he tried to use his Sage of Six Paths chakra to recover his bodily functions, all of them apart from his eyes as they were left an empty chasm with blood flowing like a river from the bottom of the sockets, but he could still sense everyone's nature energy and he could still see with his rinnesharingan he had uncovered on his forehead. What he saw shocked him though, as he sensed an enormous amount of chakra about to burst like a pipe coming past the retreating Hinata.
"Take this! Cha!" was the last thing Madara heard before he was felt Sakura's fist connect with his chest dead centre and he was sent into a tumbling trajectory through the air, barely maintaining a lower altitude, the g-force of his body twisting and turning through the air, wrenching his organs constantly away from the centre of his body, struggling against the skeleton, muscles and veins that held them in place.
Once he finally steadied himself, he looked down at the dent in his chest that was forcing him to take shallow breaths, and he realised that if he had not had all this power, he would have been obliterated on the spot. His lack of breath distracted him however as he looked down to see, and feel, the volatile nature energy gathering in Naruto's hand, the blue and red orbs mixing to form a deep purple, around the truth seeker orb in his palm, which vibrated along with hum of the wind chakra circling the orb in a shuriken pattern. As Naruto's arm reached back above his head, ready to release his jutsu, two more purple orbs, smaller in size to the first, appeared and started to orbit the larger middle piece.
"Wind Style! Orbital Tailed Beast Bomb Rasenshuriken!" Naruto shouted as he felt all his muscles in his right arm straighten as he threw his ninjutsu with the force of a cannon towards Madara. The ascended Uchiha raised his arm to meet the jutsu and absorb it but once it got just in arms reach, it disappeared. In its place the lithe form of a man that shared his blood perched on top of another of Naruto's truth seeker orbs that flattened into a platform for Sasuke as he raised his sword above his head to drive straight down into Madara's rinnesharingan.
All Madara could feel as he was floating in mid-air, was the cold steel of Sasuke's sword hiss when it came in to contact with the blood pouring out of Madara's dojutsu. He sensed the pride the others all felt at Sasuke stabbing him through his third eye along with a massive presence of chakra hurtling through the air.
Madara's thoughts were interrupted as Sasuke's boots dug into his shoulders and kicked off of them as Madara was used like a steppingstone for Sasuke to escape from, drawing his blade out from Madara's forehead with his momentum. Sasuke just got far enough away that he was only hit with the shockwave of Naruto's jutsu which had travelled from Sasuke's position on the ground where he had swapped with the ninjutsu in mid-air from before he had stabbed out Madara's rinnesharingan, blinding him to Naruto's orbital tailed beast bomb Rasenshuriken.
The jutsu hit Madara's body at full force before it promptly exploded, expanding in a harsh, violet light which eclipsed the moon itself from the shinobi's position on the ground. The humming of the chakra as it stopped in the air after it made contact with its target, was covered by the deafening, boom of the explosion. Amid the explosion the faces of the tailed beasts trapped inside were pulled out of Madara's torso, reacting to the tailed beast chakra in the jutsu, their bodies and chakra following their roars of liberation. Sasuke was thrown in a swinging arc aimed towards the ground and he was sure he might break most of his bones, but to his relief he was caught by the strong arms of a pink haired kunoichi who looked into his dark brown eyes with an overwhelming sense of worry.
Once the light faded and everyone's ears had started to stop ringing, Naruto and Sasuke watched the charred, half-dead body of Madara plummet to the ground. When they heard it hit the burnt soil at the bottom of the crater, the two rival ninjas vanished from where they stood leaving just small clouds of dust wisping away from their footprints.
When they heard him breathe, the two boys placed their palms on each of his shoulders and in unison shouted "Six Paths Planetary Devastation". They then watched as the earth around them clumped up around the body of the defeated Madara as it started to lift him up towards the sky getting bigger and bigger until it began to leave the planet's atmosphere and head towards the moon to join Kaguya's prison.
Sometime during the large sphere of rock's ascent, Naruto and Sasuke were joined by Hinata, Sakura and Kakashi, who put his arms around both of their shoulders and pulled them into giant congratulatory hug with a massive grin underneath his mask.
With all the Tailed Beasts surrounding the five shinobi, the air in front of them shimmered to reveal the apparition of Hagoromo Otsutsuki.
"You've done it! Naruto! Sasuke! You have sealed away Madara Uchiha and all the power he attained" the Sage exclaimed.
"And you as well, Sakura, Hinata and Kakashi! You've all done so well to help them save the world" he continued to congratulate the heroes.
"Umm, speaking of saving the world, how do we undo the Infinite Tsukuyomi?" Kakashi asked with a hint of panic in his voice.
"Do not worry Kakashi Hatake, Naruto and Sasuke can undo the jutsu by making the rat seal hand sign simultaneously" Hagoromo reassured the jonin.
"But first I would like to discuss the future with all of you!" He turned towards the tailed beasts.
"And what do you mean by that, Old Man?" Kurama asked.
"Well firstly, I would like you to stay with Naruto and help him to make this world a better place, for humans and for you Tailed Beasts!" He announced "Inside of Naruto, a small piece of each of your chakra resides, allowing him to be almost a meeting place of sorts for you Tailed Beasts so if anything is wrong you can contact each other through him"
After his announcement, the Sage performed the sealing jutsu onto Naruto and Kurama which took almost the rest of the chakra he was using to manifest himself. He turned to the shinobi and wished them all luck before he started to fade. Once he had disappeared, the other tailed beasts expressed their wishes of roaming free, aside from Gyuki, the eight tails, who wanted to return to his jinchuriki, Killer Bee. Once all their farewells were said, they moved to leave only to be stopped by Sasuke's visual prowess. When he all eight tailed beasts remaining under his control he turned to Naruto.
"Sasuke? What do you think you're doing?" Naruto shouted angrily confused at the situation.
"I told you already Naruto, I'm going to become the Hokage" he replied coldly "And once I do, I'll change this world for the better!"
"So why are you hurting them?" the blond screamed as he pointed towards the tailed beasts.
"When I change this shinobi world, I'll remove the pointless need for power that these tailed beasts bring, and once they're gone, I'll control this world using my own power"
"Do you think this is what Itachi would've wanted?"
"You don't know anything about my brother Naruto!" He glared at his friend. "You have no idea just what my brother did for the village, he gave his own life to protect it but now all that the hidden leaf remembers of my brother was that he was a traitor, a rogue ninja" he angrily shouted with his hatred seeping from his tongue.
"Sasuke, I told your brother that I'd save you, become the Hokage and then I'd change the world" he stated "And that what I intend to do because that's my Nindo, my ninja way!"
"That won't happen Naruto, because after I sever my bond with you, I'll be completely alone" he explained "And only someone who is completely alone can bear all the hatred in this world"
"You really think that you can change the world alone?" Naruto asked with a determined look on his face "Your own brother failed to find a peaceful solution to the problem between the Uchiha clan and the Hidden Leaf Village, all because he tried to do it alone and that's why he failed!"
There was a moment filled with the tense air, like ice that was just begging to be cracked.
Sasuke's eyes seemed to gleam with the birth of a new thought and Naruto was sure he'd convinced his best friend to come back to the Hidden Leaf with him. But what came out of Sasuke's mouth next would always be the last thing Naruto was expecting.
"Then help me!" Sasuke pleaded with a grin on his face "Join me and together we can change this cruel shinobi world"
"And how would we do that Sasuke?" Naruto asked, his curiosity peaked by his rival.
"By destroying it!" Sasuke exclaimed "Then from the ashes we will rebuild it in the right way, a world without this never-ending cycle of pain, no pointless sacrifices to be made!"
As the words reached his ears, they twitched at his thoughts which flashed through his head one after the other. His parents, Jiraiya and Nagato, Yahiko and Konan, Obito. They had all wanted the same thing, to bring about a world of true peace. They had all passed on that dream to Naruto and he couldn't help but think that with Sasuke at his side, they could truly create a world of everlasting peace. They could save this world, with all their strength, together.
Kakashi could not believe what he was hearing, he was struggling to comprehend their conversation as he kneeled on the ground completely exhausted. His body felt heavy as his stitches in his chest felt even tighter and his arms fell to his sides like they were made of stone, there was almost no chance he would be moving for at least a week. Maybe I'll read Make Out Paradise again. Kakashi grinned at the thought. What snapped him out of his daydream was the warmth coming from his back as two hands placed themselves on his shoulder blades and poured chakra into his body. He craned his neck to meet Sakura's face and to reassure her worried expression with his own grateful look.
"Okay!" Kakashi's eyes almost bulged out his head. He felt the medical ninjutsu stop and the arms connected to the hands that were performing it start to tremble. Kakashi was scared Sakura might faint at this point as he saw her lips quiver.
"Let's do it! We'll create a new shinobi world together and destroy this current one to build the foundation for a world built with true peace!" Naruto assured himself of his decision. He was set on this goal now, there was no turning back for him, that was his ninja way.
"But first, you're going to release all the tailed beasts!" Naruto demanded "And we're going to release everyone from the Infinite Tsukuyomi"
Sasuke looked into Naruto's eyes, and as the two stared each other down trying to read the other's thoughts, Sasuke was the one who smiled with his satisfaction that Naruto wasn't trying to trick him.
"Ok then, deal!" Sasuke agreed to Naruto's requests and released the tailed beasts from his genjutsu and they watched them all disperse together.
The two then faced each other again and made the hand signs to release the Infinite Tsukuyomi, once their chakra was infused, the divine tree's roots just fell apart and disintegrated, dropping the cocoons that were filled with all the allied shinobi.
"You know they won't agree with us Naruto, so we should go now" Sasuke recommended.
Naruto nodded his head and the two headed towards the lip of the crater, away from Kakashi, Sakura and Hinata.
"Wait! Naruto!" Naruto turned only to feel his lips being squashed against Hinata's soft, quivering lips. Hinata used all her energy she had left to stand on her tiptoes to reach Naruto's mouth, in order to give him the most pleasure she could with her inexperienced first kiss. Her cheeks felt hot with all the blood rushing to her face.
Breaking away, panting, gasping for air with her lips bruised and purple, Hinata pleaded with Naruto "Please take me with you Naruto!" she screamed with tears starting to well up in her eyes. They were matched with bright blue orbs beaming back at her matching the most genuine smile she had ever known.
"Of course, Hinata! With you by my side, I'll create a better world! I just know it" he affirmed. The three started their climb out of the crater only to be interrupted yet again.
"Do you three really think I'd let you go after all this!" Kakashi stood up and stumbled towards them like a walking corpse.
"And how do you plan on stopping us?" Sasuke rhetorically asked with a little smirk on his face, his sharingan's unique pattern forming along with the rinnegan glinting in the purple hue of the sky as the first rays of sunlight filtered through the clouds on the horizon.
Kakashi stopped in his tracks at recognising the 6 Tomoe pattern on his rinnegan, knowing that it would be impossible for him to win this fight against any one of them, let alone all of them together. He grimaced, clenching his fist in frustration in being powerless to help his students, those who were entrusted to him by others to protect. He had failed to protect Rin and now he had failed Naruto and Sasuke.
Kakashi felt his shoulder barged out of the way as Sakura frantically stumbled towards the three.
"Sasuke! Please don't leave me! I'll do anything! Naruto! Just please don't go!" she begged the two boys.
"Sakura! Even after all these years, you haven't changed! You're still so annoying" Sasuke met her teary eyes with his crimson sharingan. Her knees gave way, and her back began to lurch backwards.
"Sakura!" Kakashi overstretched to catch her before she hit the ground. Her eyes were clouded, pupils dilated. Her breaths short and erratic matching the shaking of her body. She'd fainted from Sasuke's sharingan and as Kakashi laid her down on the ground in a recovery position he noticed a small wet patch forming on ground beneath her.
He turned back to look up at the three shinobi at the top of the crater, only to be met by Naruto gathering chakra in his right hand in the shape of a shuriken.
He threw his wind-style Rasenshuriken after Sasuke used his inferno style Flame Control to combine the two jutsu as it left Naruto's hand and hurtled towards Kakashi.
Kakashi poured all of his remaining chakra into creating the strongest earth style Mud Wall he could muster, before he jumped over Sakura to protect her from any debris. When the jutsu met the mud wall, the wall pretty much disintegrated instantly, spraying dust and clumps of mud towards the teacher and student.
When the air cleared of harmful dust and ash particles, Kakashi used all his strength to lift his himself up from Sakura to look towards the top of the crater expecting to see Naruto, Sasuke and Hinata looking back down at him. All that remained was the dust they'd left trailing in the wind. Kakashi couldn't sense their presence either. They were really gone now.
A/N- And there it, the first chapter of this adventure completed. What did you think? Let me know if there was anything you would change. Also reading it through, I sort of feel a little guilty about Naruto's character at the end, but it was the only way I could see this story working. So, I will admit that this story hinges on the fact that Naruto acts out of character. But all in all, I hope you enjoyed it.
Yours Truly,
Signing off.
