A/N: Hello Everybody! I have finally gotten up the courage to announce to ya'll here that I'm also on another website! (Mostly because the DSMP and ROTTMNT fandoms are bigger there, and tags are so nice.) But, if any of you are interested, it's AO3, (archive of our own) and there I go by WarpedDaydream. You can also chat with me on Tumblr … also under the alias WarpedDaydream. Just if any of you are interested. :)

arrowchristian: Yep, I wonder how seasons 8 and 9 are gonna go… ;) Also, why is Gale there? And don't worry, the repercussions are good… for this chapter. Ignore the evil cackling in the background, it means nothing.
"Thank you, sir."
Wu gave a small nod and a smile. "Of course. While you shouldn't have gone off on your own, you did help a lot of people. In fact, I should be thanking you."
Lloyd blinked in surprise before swiftly shaking his head, glancing away from Wu. He moved to get off the bed, but Wu grabbed his shoulder.
"You should rest." Wu gently pushed Lloyd down, tucking him in. "I'll see how soon you can get out of here, okay?"
Lloyd nodded, doing his best to relax into the bed.
*About a day later*
"This one bedroom, one half bath is a cozy dream! Who needs extras when everything's in arms reach? And wait until you see the lighting!"
The bulb fell to the ground, shattering.
"Uh, who needs lights when you have this view?"
She opened the blinds to reveal a brick wall.
"Uh, this looks… promising. Remember, guys, Sensei told us our main objective is to protect and train Lloyd, not kick our feet up in some swanky suite. If this is all we can afford, this is all we can afford."
"Does he even need training? He held his own against the Devourer."
"There's still spinjitzu."
"I'm sorry." Patty Keys interrupted, moving over by Lloyd. "But did you just say this precious little one is Lloyd? As in, Lloyd Garmadon?"
Lloyd squirmed under her hungry gaze.
"Um, yeah?" Cole raised an eyebrow, pulling Lloyd away from the lady. "Why do you ask?"
Patty smirked. "I do have another property that you'll just love!"
A few moments later, they were entering a room atop a skyscraper.
"Oh man." Jay exclaimed.
"Now, this is the eight-bedroom Hero Suite. Floor-to-ceiling windows, digital wall television, state-of-the-art game console…"
"Uh, it seems a little out of our price range." Cole cut in.
"Well, since you guys are taking care of the little hero, I'm sure we can arrange for some kind of hero's discount. I'm not sure it would cover all the extra expenses, but…"
"We could get day jobs, and switch off taking care of Lloyd."
"But what about his training?"
Patty leaned forward, pressing a button. "Did I mention the in-house training facility?"
The ninja stared at the training room - one almost identical to the one they'd had on the bounty.
"We'll take it!"
The news came on while Jay was at work. Cole and Zane were switching between their jobs and watching over Kai and Lloyd since the former could not be trusted with the latter. Kai was barely paying attention - some murder of some school teachers, grisly stuff - when he felt something grab his suit.
Looking down, he discovered a shaking Lloyd latched on tight, staring at the television with wide eyes.
Glancing back at the television, he discovered it had changed to pictures of the deceased, along with a label of each one's occupation. Each and every one of them worked for Darkly's Boarding School for Bad Boys.
"Darkly's. That's your old school, right?" Kai turned toward the kid as best he could.
Lloyd nodded, slowly, shakily, still clinging to Kai.
"It's okay, Lloyd. I doubt whoever killed them would go after the students, and even if they did, we'd protect you, okay?"
He shook his head slightly as Cole walked into the room, finally relaxing a tiny bit when the screen shifted to some reporters talking about the murders.
Cole rushed forward, kneeling down and gently prying Lloyd's hands from Kai's suit. "It's okay. You're okay." He rubbed circles into the back of Lloyd's hands, and the boy slowly calmed down, tears streaming down his face. "It's okay, it's okay."
When Lloyd finally stopped crying he smiled up at Cole. "Thank you."
"No problem, buddy." He ruffled the kid's hair. "No problem at all."
Hope ya'll enjoyed! If you have time reviews are much appreciated!
(Also, ten guesses as to what happens next chapter, winner gets a free oneshot of their choice! Within reason, though.)
