"Willow, will you marry me?" Haythams words on repeat in Willows head. "I..i..dont know what to say" Willow replied, still surprised by Haytham asking after only a month and a half of dating. "Say yes. We can spend the rest of our lives getting to know one another" Haytham said as he stood up and slipped the ring onto her finger as she nodded. "Yes, yes i'll marry you" Willow replied, hesitantly as they kissed in the moonlight. "Can we keep this between us? Just until we get back, i'd prefer to tell everyone all together" Willow asked as Haytham nodded and replied "Of course Willow. Now, do you want to go back into the party or go back to the room to celebrate?"
"This ring is beautiful Hayth. Did tonight really happen?" Willow asked as the two lovers lay in bed, watching the sunrise over the ocean. "It really did. Are you regretting it already?" Haytham asked as Willow shook her head. "Not at all. Im just surprised that it happened so quickly" she said as she placed her head on his shoulder. "Theres so much we still need to figure out, which can wait till we get back" she said as he kissed her forehead. "But i would like to have a long engagement" she added as Haytham replied "Whatever you want Wills. I do have to be back in Philadelphia for the sixth" "Thats ok, thats one of the things we need to figure out. Where are we going to live?" Willow said as Haytham held her as she added "But right now, lets just enjoy these last few days"
"Wills, are you packed and ready to go in the morning?" Haytham asked the night before they were due to leave. Willow was throwing up in the bathroom so couldnt answer I wonder where this has come from? she thought as she brushed her teeth, before exiting the bathroom. "Are you ok Wills? You were in there a while" Haytham asked as Willow climbed into bed. "Im ok, think its something ive eaten and its not sitting right with me" she replied before adding "Yes im packed to answer your earlier question" "Have you got any idea as to how you're going to tell the others about our engagement?" Haytham asked as Willow shook her head. "I thought we could do it together over dinner tomorrow" she said as she smiled at him "That sounds like the perfect idea Wills. Want to pick up the stuff on the way back from the airport?" Haytham asked as Willow nodded. "Now its our last night and i dont want to waste it" She said flirtily as she kissed him before straddling him. "Are you sure Wills? I mean youve just been throwing up" Haytham asked as Willow nodded, kissing him "Im sure" she whispered in his ear as they made love for the final time in Hawaii.
"I wonder what Wills wants us for tonight?" Adam asked aloud in Matts place as he shrugged his shoulders, the girls playing on the floor. "I dont know Ads. Are you going to go?" he asked as Adam nodded and asked "Amy will want to go. Are you?" "I guess so. I mean i was taking the girls back tonight anyways" Matt replied as Adam asked "how are you doing since..." "Im ok Ads. He makes her happy, thats all i want" Matt replied as Adam said "Even though you two were sleeping together for seven months" "Even then" Matt replied, unable to hide the lie any longer "Who am i kidding Ads? I love her, more than anything. These last few weeks, watching her with him. Its killed me but i cant say anything because i dont want to push her away" "You need to tell her Matt, she deserves to know how you feel about her" Adam said as Matt sighed. "Willow knows. Shes always known. Even when i havent shown it or acted like a dick towards her, shes just always known" he said as the two men spent the remainder of the afternoon catching up.
"Im so nervous Hayth. I know its just the family, but what if they dont accept this engagement?" Willow said as she set the table with her new fiance, who took her hands. "Wills, breathe. Ive met your family, they'll accept it and if they dont then you can cut them off. I'll be your new family" Haytham replied as Willow took a deep breath. "You know that they'll ask about living together. What are we going to tell them? I just dont think i can uproot the girls again" Willow said as she and Haytham planned their future as they finished setting the table.
"Hey guys, come on in. Willow is just on the phone right now" Haytham said as Amy, Adam, Matt, Jasmine and Ruby arrived at Willows place. "Jeff and Trish will be arriving soon. Theyre just waiting on the sitter" Amy said as they all headed to the living area. "Something smells really good though. What time did you guys get back?" She asked as Willow entered the room. "About four hours ago. Food should almost be ready" she said as she sat next to Haytham, hiding the ring. "Do you want to tell them now or wait?" he whispered as Willow sighed "I think we wait. Just till Jeff and Trish get here" she replied as Haytham nodded, just as there was a knock on the door. "That will be them. Give me two minutes" she said as she got up to get the door. "Why are we here Haytham? Whats going on?" Amy asked, but before he could reply, Willow reentered the room with Jeff as Trish as she said "Dinner is ready guys"
"That was so good Wills" Trish said as the group finished the meal. "I cant believe you made a vegan paella in four hours" "It was nothing" Willow replied as Haytham squeezed her hand. "Ok will you tell us why we're here Wills? I know you didnt get us here for dinner" Amy asked as Willow bit her lip and looked at Haytham. They gave each other the look as Haytham said "The reason we got you all here is because, when we were in Hawaii i asked Willow to be my wife..." "And i said yes" Willow added, catching Matts eye and seeing him break all over again. "Wow. I wasnt expecting that" Amy said, surprised that her daughter was getting married so quickly after meeting her fiance. "We're going to have a long engagement, we're not in any rush to get married" Haytham said as Willow showed off her ring. "So...Congratulations i guess" Jeff said as Adam saw Matt sitting silently. As everyone congratulated the couple Matt stood up to leave.
"Matt... Matt wait..." Willow called behind him as he left the house. "Wills, its late. Im back on the road in the early hours. Theres nothing left to say. You made your choice" He said as he felt his heart breaking. "Im sorry Matt. I know this isnt what we planned, but i didnt expect him to propose" Willow said sadly. "But he did Wills, and you said yes. Its killing me seeing you with him because.." Matt said as Willow sighed "Dont. Dont say it Matt" she said, holding back tears. "Why not Wills? Why cant i say I love you?" "Because i love you too!" Willow blurted out, as she realised what she had said. "I think youre right Matt, its time to go" she said quietly as Matt nodded, hating seeing Willow the way she was. He got into his car and drove off, as Willow wiped her teary eyes and took a deep breath before heading back in.
"Everything ok Wills?" Haytham asked as Willow entered the living area as she nodded. "Matts gone as hes back on the road in the early hours and needs to get some sleep" she replied as Haytham put his arms around her. "So give us the details. How did it happen? Where are you going to live? When will the wedding be?" Trish asked as Willow replied "Not for a good few years. We want to have a long engagement" "As for living, we are still in the process of sorting that out" Haytham added before continuing "I just know Wills doesnt want to uproot Jasmine and Ruby again" "Sorry guys i need some air" Willow said as she ran into the garden. Haytham got up to go after her but Adam indecated for him to sit. "I'll go" he said as he followed Willow into the garden.
"Wills, is everything ok with you? You havent been the same since.." Adam said as he sat next to his step daughter. "Can we walk?" Willow asked quietly as Adam nodded. "Willow, talk to me. Whats going on?" he asked again as they began walking around the large garden. "Everything just got to me tonight. The announcement, Matt saying hes still in love with me..." she said as Adam interrupted her "Matt told you?" as Willow nodded. "Despite me telling him not to say it" "Why Wills? Why did you not want him to say it?" Adam asked as Willow admitted "Because...I still love him Ads" "Are you regretting things with Haytham?" Adam asked as Willow shook her head. "Dont get me wrong, i do love Hayth too. I just wasnt expecting everything to happen so quickly. I think i need time to process it" she said shivering in the cold. "I think you need to have conversations with both Haytham and Matt about how youre feeling" Adam said as Willow sighed. "I guess i have to figure things out before it gets too messy" she said as they began the walk back towards the house.
"I miss you. When am i seeing you next?" Willow asked Haytham a few days later via facetime. "Im free next weekend. Do you want to come up to Philadelphia?" Haytham replied as Willow nodded "Sounds like a plan, i miss being up there" she said as Haytham said "I may have done something a little crazy" "Hayth, what have you done?" Willow asked, "I thought i'd booked an appointment for a potential venue viewing but i may have accidentally booked the venue" he said as Willow sighed. "How the fuck did you make that mistake?" she asked, questioning her relationship for the first time. "In fact dont answer that, just tell me when and where" she said as Haytham replied "So we're getting married in just over a month, Seventh of February" Willow listened in shock as he repeated the date and her heart sank at the venue.
Willow spent the next few days trying to process the information Haytham had told her. She hadnt told anyone the date or venue as she couldnt quite believe what her fiance had done and was, for the first time, having doubts about her relationship. "Hey Wills, is everything ok?" Adam asked as he entered Willows living room, seeing her staring out of the window. "Wills, whats wrong? Talk to me" Adam said as he put his arms around her adding "Is it Haytham?" at the sound of his name, Willow felt tears in her eyes. "I just dont know if i can do it anymore Ads" she said quietly, as she took a deep breath. "Haytham has booked the date, the venue is trigger central for me" she said as Adam held her. "Matt, he wont even talk to me so I dont even know how to begin to make it right with him" "Lets start with the easy questions. When is the wedding?" Adam asked as he wiped away Willows tears. "February the seventh. So just over three weeks away, when i specifically said i wanted a long engement" she said quietly as Adam asked "Where is the wedding?" Willow said one word "Ravenhearst"
