A/n: Back to the main story! (Warning: Near the end of the chapter, there will be some semi graphic descriptions that may be disturbing to some readers. If this is not your cup of tea sometimes or even all the time, I suggest you don't read. But if you do, go at your own risk.)

Kairo found him. It took a while, but he finally manages to find his target, who sat on the floor in their cell. Wailing and throwing their arms into the air, as if trying to ask for some mercy, some salvation. Kairo sighs and takes out a key, opening the door of the cell. "Hey you, yeah you, you're coming with me. I'm getting you out of here. But first, where is the credits that you owe a certain man named Rudolph?" The target looks up in shock and freezes, but then reaches inside their pants and into a secret pocket,. Taking out card and successfully throwing it to the disguised Kairo. "H-Here you go sir. I-I was going to-" Kairo interrupts them with a sound, showing annoyance and impatience. He gestures for the target to follow him quickly, in which they do. But the moment half of their body steps outside the cell, they suddenly fell a little sideways and then backwards.

The target is dead. Rudolph wanted them alive for a while, and now will be angry even more once he finally hears from Kairo again after a long time. Much longer than he was told that Rudolph would tolerate.

...Damn, double homicide.

A bright light was flashing onto Kairo. "Lieutenant, that was stupid of you! Never let a prisoner out, these...these creatures are dangerous!"

"Ah, Jefferson, you decided to come out." Kairo replies in his disguised voice.

The soldier, Jefferson, nods his head, "Someone needs to actively look out for you sir. I'm here to do the job. Anyways, I have been told to bring you to one of the junior cells. I think your paper has the name." Kairo takes out the paper of the names of prisoners and spots the 'junior cell' section. But only one name is shown under that section.

It was Ulysses Ashanti jr, that was the name.

Neji's son. What in the world is he here? Where is Neji?! She can't be that far behind. Whether she's a mother or not, Neji is fiercely protective of those she loves and cares about. So if that kid is here, that means she must be finding a way to trail behind. Kairo takes a deep breath and hums, back in character. "I see, take me there Jefferson." The soldier nods his head quickly and starts moving, making Kairo run after him to catch up.

When they got there, the sight broke Kairo's heart. There in front of him, sat Ulysses Jr. Who is laying his head against the wall while looking out the window. His eyes is empty of emotion but still full of tears. Which some of them are slipping down his rosy round cheeks. Kairo's mind is soon brought back to the current situation at hand but the solder next to him. "I believe you're suppose to watch him for a while. Anyways, I will be off." With that, the soldier leaves Kairo and the baby alone together.

Big mistake.

Once the coast was clear, Kairo opens the cell door with the key and speed walks inside. The baby raises his head off the wall sharply. Staring right at the man and training his eyes on him as Kairo moves closer. Ulysses jr whines and scoots back, heading towards another wall behind him. Kairo pauses before taking another step forward. Seeing Ulysses jr scooting backwards again. The baby soon starts to sniffle more as his eyes become even more watery. It breaks Kairo's heart when he sees his lower lip wobble. 'Let's see how he will react if I take off the hat and my face mask.' Kairo retreats his hand and holds both arms up. He then takes off his hat and face mask slowly, revealing his youthful, kind face. He places the hat and face mask beside him and gives the baby a soft smile.

"You see little guy? I'm not them, I won't hurt you. I want to help you. Will you trust me?" Kairo asks, slowly holding out a hand towards Ulysses Jr, who stares at him with a small, open mouth. A few more minutes pass in silence. Kairo's heart then flutters when he sees the baby's lips stretch into a wide, beautiful smile. Ulysses Jr giggles as he floats to Kairo, landing gracefully in his arms. Kairo cuddles him close and gently rubs his cheek against one of the chubby ones, "Look at you, such a gorgeous and brave boy. Thank you for trusting me, I won't let you down." He positions the baby to his left side, using his free arm to take off the earpiece and a device in the uniform. Which both have trackers in them. He puts them down on the ground and stands up, crushing them to bits with his foot.

He walks out of the cell, "Let's go find your mama. This reunion is long overdue, anyway."

Ulysses Jr shrieks in happiness and waves his arms around wildly in all directions. Kairo chuckles and kisses the crown of Ulysses Jr's head. He passes through the same hallways that came from when heading towards's the cell. Before long, he sees the opening to the place he first started at when he go inside the ship. "Let's take a detour little one. You need to get out of here. I will bring you to a friend of mine who will protect you until I come back." Suddenly, the ship shakes a bit, causing Kairo to fall back. He makes sure to gather Ulysses Jr securely in his arms so that the baby won't get hurt. The ship then leans slightly back before soaring forward and then a little up.

"What the fuck? I thought the ship was broken down or somethin'. Barely any of the power are working to begin with." He whispers in shock and annoyance.

Ulysses Jr starts to wiggle in his arms and whine again. Kairo sighs and looks down at the baby. "I hope you know that I don't have any food or drink for you." He says with a deadpanned expression.

Bzzzz!

"Attention to everyone in the ship, one of our own found a backup generator, which brought back a significant amount of power back to our ship. This airlift was a test run. We will actually leave the premises in thirty minutes. Please be prepared by then."

Kairo curses to himself and crouches down, quickly moving when eyes and cameras were not on him. But he soon hides behind a crate when a couple of soldiers pop out. He watches as they stand in front of the exit of the ship. Kairo sighs and looks to the other pathway next to the one he took at the very beginning. According to the paper he still has, Neji is apparently being held somewhere in there. 'I guess we will rescue Neji first, then get out. Wait for me, love. I'm coming.' When the coast was clear, he scurries towards that pathway and makes it in time.

He stands up and stretches, finally being able to walk normally.

"..Hey you...freeze."

A smirk graces Kairo's face. He throws Ulysses Jr high into the air and does a big jump, "Father of the year goes toooo..." He does a back flip and presses his foot against parts of the soldier's head, crushing him to the ground face first. Catching a laughing Ulysses Jr in the process. "...me." His eyes spot two blasters. Perfect! Kairo snatches them from the unconscious soldier and adds it to his collection before he starts running deeper in the hallways.

He takes out the paper with his free hand and looks for Neji's name and location, "Okay. Level 3, Cell B- 2365. That's complicated as hell, but we can do this."

He finally makes it Level 3 and the Cell B section. He finds a machine full of varieties of snacks and drinks. "Time for a food break, buddy." He takes out a dagger and approaches the machine, quickly stabbing it and watching as the screen protector shatters. He puts the dagger away and uses his finger to open up the baby's mouth. "Okay, you don't...actually never mind, I see some teeth slowly coming in. You're teething, baby." He grabs some yogurt for the baby and some chips and desert for himself. Kairo finds a wall and presses his back against it, sliding down to the ground. He positions the baby in a cradling position and opens a peach flavored yogurt, grateful that it comes with a spoon. He takes a scoop of the food and holds it to Ulysses Jr's mouth, in which the baby eagerly opens and accepts the food.

Kairo continues to feed Ulysses Jr, who flaps his arms happily and lets out small coos with each spoonful. When the yogurt was eventually finished, Kairo set it aside and opens a bag of mini cheese cracker sandwiches and starts to eat them. Ulysses Jr sits up and tries to reach for the bag, but Kairo skillfully puts it out of his reach. He turns his back to the baby and continues to eat the snack despite the baby's angry gurgles and soft hits against his back. Eventually Ulysses Jr got bored and stop his antics, instead, he lies back down and closes his eyes with a soft sigh. Exhaustion soon took over ten minutes later and the baby is now asleep.

The man observes the sleeping baby, "I can see some of Neji in you but it seems most of your features came from your father, whoever he is. But nevertheless, I thank him for loving your mother well and being a better man than I was. He gave her you and the whole world. All I gave her, a long time ago, was a kiss and profession of my love for her. Part of me wishes that our story didn't abruptly end like this and blew up. But I ave since accepted it. Hopefully when I see her again, she can forgive me and we can start over from the last good moment we left off at. I'm in love with your mom and, in a non-romantic way, I have fallen in love with you, bud." Kairo smiles and looks up at the blank ceiling for a while. Basking in the silence.

Then, he stands up carefully, making sure to not disturb the baby in his arms. He remembers the cell number Neji is in and starts walking. He feels a bit uneasy all of sudden, for some reason, as he hears only the small footsteps of his feet and his slightly shaky breathing. His heart starts hammering heard against his chest as he soon gets closer and closer to the destination.

How will Neji react to seeing him? Will she be happy or very pissed off?

Will he be given another chance to make things right and be with her? Should he even ask?

Kairo is both excited and nervous to see the love of his life for the first time in years. His eyes soon spot the number and he freezes, feeling anxiety and bile rise in his body and mouth. But he soon takes a slow, deep breath and swallows it. There is no use to feel scared now. It's time to take action and just see what happens. It's time to move.

So that's what Kairo does, he moves.

Luke doesn't know what to feel or think except for sorrow. "Father is lost...that's all. He is just lost. I'm sorry...I'm so sorry, I should've stayed and taken care of you...I'm sorry. I'm so...so...sorry."

The pain Luke was feeling much earlier? Well, that's all gone now. All he feels in that area is emptiness and lack of life.

Ulysses Jr is asleep in a clean corner of the cell.

Kairo stumbles forward towards the sight before falling on his knees, not believing his eyes. There in front of him is something so horrific, so inhumane, that one could say that an animal did it. Or even a demon themselves. The body is cut up in pieces and is heavily scarred. It's also full of cuts, bruises, and stab wounds. The head is crystal clear of hair. That beautiful, long, black hair. A sense of pride and beauty itself. Some skin on what looks like the legs and the arms, are slightly peeled off halfway and looks mangled. Kairo blinks away enough tears to clear his vision as he spots one of the wrists, where it shows a sliver bracelet with a heart charm. He can't deny it anymore. He recognizes that bracelet.

Because he gave it to her.

That body is Neji's.

She's...dead.
