The weeks went by, and the group enjoyed watching the little girl grow into herself, they had begun to get up a schedule for her to start school again in the September. However, until then they began to discuss another lesson the young witch would have to learn...

The Press.

"I was thinking of bringing, Mim," Tony said, looking at his friend's expressions. "I dunno, if she's more and more used to the fame parts of life, and it'll be good preparation for when she fully involves herself in the wizarding world. Test the waters, she how she copes with it?"

"I dunno, Tony…" Rhodey said hesitantly. "She is still adapting to being out of that environment."

"It couldn't hurt, I mean, the main attention won't be on you. Or her. It could be a good way to dip her toe in this part of being famous," Remus said rubbing his face. "It would be different if it was just because of you, but it isn't. She needs to get used to being in the spotlight."

"I still can't believe how much she has gone through already," Pepper said, looking in the direction of the little girls bedroom. They decided that Tony should take her and use this experience to decide what they did from there. When they told the little girl she was going to a party, she began to get very excited. They warned her that there may be camera and they may want to take her picture. She practiced smiling in the mirror excited to be going with her Dad. As much as the group tried to persuade her to wear a pretty dress, she wanted to wear her Belle dress. Happy she was voicing her opinion and not worried about being taken back to the Dursleys they agreed for this time.

The evening of the event Happy drove the two to the gala, as they got out, there were a few photographers, Min kept a hold of her father's hand and waved shyly at the people behind them. Tony introduced his daughter to some of his acquaintances. He was impressed with how well she was coping with the attention. They ate the meal that was provided for them, Mim made an effort to try not to make a mess with her food. The lady next to her was asking her questions about what she liked here in the US. She chatted politely, her father talking to her, and to the man beside him.

After dessert they made their way back into the main hall of the party. Her Dad asked her if she wanted to head home soon, she nodded. Beginning to feel a little sleepy. She watched as he called Happy asking for him to come and pick them up when a weird looking man with suit and glasses made a beeline towards them.

"So this is the famous Mim," he said as he smiled down at her, she noticed her Daddy's grip tighten on her hand.

"What do you want Hammer?" he said darkly making the little girl move closer to him.

"Well," he chuckled. "I wanted to meet the Golden child, of the Golden child. Don't you look pretty. Are you dressed like Belle?"

"She's my favourite," Mim said quietly.

"Why?"

"She's likes books, and she's really smart, and it's just her and her Daddy."

"The little mermaid is like that too,"

"She likes the books too, Hammer," Tony said glaring at him.

"Why don't we have dinner at my house, old friend. Bring the princess."

"Hmm, you see the problem is Hammer we aren't friends. I don't like you. Come on Mim lets go home." He said scooping her up and onto his hip making sure her dress kept her dignified.

"He was bad silly," she whispered to her father.

"Bad silly?" he said turning his head to look at his daughter's face.

"Yeah, your good silly, but he's bad silly."

"I'll keep that in mind, do you want JARVIS to have a smoothie waiting for you?"

"Yes please, can I have a strawberry one."

"Course you can Munchkin,"

That's when they were ambushed by cameras.

"Mr Stark, how is being a father affecting your work?"

"Mr Stark, are your playboy days over?"

"Mr Stark, will Mimosa Stark be the heir to Stark Industries?"

Frightened Mim clutched her father and hid her face in his shoulder, attempting to comfort the little girl and escape the crowd was a difficult task, but with the help of Rhodey and Happy. He broke free, they rushed to the limo closing the door firmly behind them.

"It's alright sweetheart their gone." He said softly kissing her forehead. "You did awesome."

"Daddy? What's a playboy?"

The adults paled.

"It's uh, it's –"

"It's a man who likes to play with lots of different ladies," Pepper said, the men were sweating.

"Like tig?" she asked.

"Hmm… no it's a grown-up game, so you can't play it till you are a grown up," Pepper said. Or ever, Tony thought.

"Ok,"

Tony kissed her forehead, he never wanted to her know what that was. He wanted her to stay little forever…

Once home it wasn't long before the group had her bathed, pyjama clad, and in bed. Remus read her a story turning out the main light as he left the little girls room. The group were waiting for him.

"She get to sleep ok?" Tony asked. He nodded.

"Seems like she wasn't too fazed by the cameras." Pepper said.

"She was scared at the time," Tony said.

"It was a scary thing, she handled it really well." Pepper looked up at the girl's door. "All things considering, I think it was a success, maybe something a little smaller at the end of the month? That way it shouldn't have too many cameras?"

"Perhaps, a little more pacing between outburst may be more suitable," Severus said eying the redheaded woman.

"We don't want to make her a big spectacle either. The less they see of her, the more reaction she'll get when she goes out with Tony." Rhodey argued.

"Nothing has to be set in stone tonight," Remus intervened between the two sides. "See how she is in the morning, and we can go from there. Right now, we should consider tonight a success, and get ready for the beach day we have planned tomorrow for her. The group fell into mutters of agreement. Tony watched his friends both sides having great points. But Remus was right it could all wait for another day.

We are creeping closer to the start of Hogwarts! I have plans and twist ready for it and I am so excited. As Bella was rudely taken away from us all, some of the moments there will be added to this, but not all as some don't feel like Min's experience you know.
