Not My Magical World

Chapter 8

Leaning back in his seat, Harry allowed the rumble of the plane to flow through him before he focused on the book sitting on his tray table. It was a self-revealing book of history created by his parents. Over time the book would reveal more of his world's mutants and magical history when it felt you were ready. However, when his mother found him with the book, she quickly took it away for some reason.

He tried to find it for a time but eventually gave up. Shaking his head, he focused on the book. It was time he reminded himself what he was fighting for.

In 900 A.D. Mordred led Otherworld mutants in a departure from their home dimension. They arrived in England and met up with the local magic users. A race called the blood, who have a natural affinity for drawing in naturally occurring magical energy. This ability grants each blood member a unique power, making them similar to mutants.

Because of their similarities, they were able to join together and start building a society away from ordinary people.

Salazar Slytherin's contribution to the magical world: in 950 A.D. Salazar Slytherin devises a potion using his chemical manipulation abilities to allow the mutants and blood members to share abilities. This potion grants mutants magical power while strengthening a blood member's talent.

Founding of the ancient houses: in 1000 A.D.

The house of Hufflepuff took in all people with the talent for plant life. Helga Hufflepuff/Plant Manipulation

The house Bones took in all people with power over healing or death. Morgana Bones/Mediumship

The house Slytherin took in those with a creative talent Salazar Slytherin/Chemical/Compound Manipulation

The House Ravenclaw took anyone with mental skills. Rowena Ravenclaw/Psionics

The House Gryffindor took those with a knack for battle. Godric Gryffindor/Body Enhancements.

After founding the houses, any new mutant or blood member that came into the world was given Salazar's potion and sent to one of the ancient houses to learn to control their abilities.

Once they had control of their abilities, students would be sent to The Gilgamesh Academy, an Academy founded shortly before Mordred's arrival. It was changed to help mutants and magic users use their powers in unpredictable ways.

Hufflepuff students became the ones that grew the fruits and vegetables for their new haven.

Gryffindor students helped construct the castle.

Salazar's students began developing new ideas, thus giving rise to the culture of the new wizarding world.

Ravenclaw students learned to control their abilities and then scattered across Europe to gather those mutants or magical persecuted. They would then bring them to the castle, where they trained to handle their gifts.

Bone students became healers or talked to ghosts, learning ancient secrets of mysticism. This job made them responsible for filling the Gilgamesh Academy library.

As time passed, the community grew, making them need more space.

In 1030: With the introduction of Pomona Lovegood, a magical mutant, who could manipulate time and space, she moved Gilgamesh Academy and the town around to Bardsey island.

After they moved to the island, more houses were founded to help train incoming magic mutants.

House Longbottom was founded; its members could draw strength from nature. Frederick Longbottom/natural energy absorption.

House Lovegood took those that had precognition. Pomona Lovegood/time-space manipulation.

House Black took in those that had a physical mutation. Arcturus Black/Shapeshifting

House Potter took in those that had elemental-related abilities. Charles Potter/Earth Manipulator

House Weasley took those with intuitive intelligence. Bartholomew Weasley/Mechanical Intuition

More time passed, and eventually, magic and the X gene in Europe became intertwined, creating a new branch of evolution. Bardsley island became a legend, creating the myth of Avalon.

1100 A.D. founding of Avalon Island: Merlyn did not like this and attacked the island, and Bardsley island repelled the attack, but not without a significant loss of life.

Mordred died in the battle along with Godric and Helga. The loss of three of their most influential members hit the islands hard. The inhabitants decided they would hide. Using time-space manipulation and the souls of those killed in the battle, house Bones and Lovegood created a mist that obscured and shifted people away from the island.

After hiding the island, house Ravenclaw would use their psychic abilities to pinpoint mutants and those descended from the blood; they would then remove them from their families.

1200 A.D. This practice continued for 100 years until inhabitants rioted once they learned the truth. From then on, a member of house, Lovegood, and Ravenclaw were paired together to watch for emerging blood members and mutants. Though they managed to get some, they often arrived too late to save the children.

Unfortunately, this wait-and-see attitude caused tension on Avalon as young lives were lost. Over time this tension grew until a fragment of Avalon sailed with Columbus in 1492.

1492 A.D, the discovery of America: While selling with Columbus, many landmasses were discovered, and his Mystic mutant crew was able to find other mutants or those with magical potential. They transformed the newly discovered brethren into Mystic mutants using Salazar Slytherin's elixir.

The Mystic mutants settled on the American continent using maps they copied from Columbus.

Once on land, they traveled the continent, meeting the native tribes. They were able to establish trade and find those with unique gifts. Over time they traded knowledge establishing a tentative peace.

However, that piece was threatened when more Mystic mutants arrived. Though they were friendly, this caused tension between the Mystic mutants and the natives, who thought they were invading their lands. Not wanting a war while they were still settling, the Mystic mutants agreed to move elsewhere.

By this time, some natives had decided to travel with the Mystic mutants, giving rise to new houses.

The house of Scamander, which specialized in animal control, took in those with that ability and animal-like traits.

Over the next 200 years, the Mystic mutants would establish their settlement deep in the mountains of this new land. When the people on the Mayflower arrived, some integrated themselves to look for those with gifts.

1673 A.D. James of house Ravenclaw arrives to reestablish connections with their cousins. While traveling through Virginia, he came across Gloria Knoblach, a young mutant mistaken for a witch. Using illusion, he was able to rescue Gloria.

Eventually, they arrived at Bull Run Mountain, where the settlement/Shadow Run was located. Once there, they discovered that Gloria had telepathic abilities.

While James talked with the leaders of the mountain village about people of the house coming over here to help establish a society, Gloria Knoblach was transformed into a mystic mutant.

1674 A.D. over the next year, Gloria and James grow close as Gloria learns magic and how to control her telepathic abilities. Eventually, they marry.

In 1675 A.D., Gloria gives birth to her first son Edward Evans. It is decided that they will give their children the last name Evans to hide them from her sister, Flora, in case she ever tries to find them.

1676 A.D. Gloria gives birth to another son Samuel Evans

1678 A.D. Gloria gives birth to her daughter Emma Evans

Edward develops telepathy and telekinesis.

Samuel Creed develops emotional empowerment, able to draw on the emotions of others to empower himself.

Emma Franklin develops powerful telepathy surpassing her brother Edward.

In 1696 A.D., twenty-two-year-old Edward returns to England to discover his roots.

Twenty-one-year-old Samuel Knoblach travels across the frontier. Eventually, his descendants would settle in Canada.

In 1700 A.D. Emma Evans leaves her parent's home and travels to Massachusetts. There, she would marry a man named Ethan Frost and establish the Frost family.

Edward Evans's history:

In late 1696 A.D., Edward Evans arrives in Avalon village. Once there, he establishes a connection with house Ravenclaw thanks to a letter from his father. For the next two years, Edward trains with house Ravenclaw.

In 1698 A.D. Edward Evans entered the Gilgamesh Academy. At the Gilgamesh Academy, he breaks the mold, taking an interest in potion creation. With practice, he learns to mix ingredients with his telekinesis.

1702 A.D. Edward Evans worked on creating an advanced version of Salazar's potion for four years. Using telepathy, he compiled everything Avalon knew about potion-making. And telekinesis to mix the ingredients precisely. He succeeded, calling his new potion phoenixes rebirth.

During this time, he began dating Sidney from House Bones. With his success in the potion, the two decide to marry.

Sydney possesses the power of soul absorption.

1704 A.D. Sydney gives birth to her first child, a daughter Ruth Lavender Evans/Empathy

1706 A.D. Sydney gives birth to a son, Benjamin Jake Evans/Energy Psionics

1708 A.D. Sydney gives birth to a daughter Mora Grace Evans/ Ambient Energy Absorption.

1728 A.D. Over the next twenty years, the family stabilized and joined the house connected to their abilities. Benjamin became the heir to the Evans house, while Ruth and Mora joined Ravenclaw and Potter, respectively.

1730 A.D. Ruth Evans returns to America and marries Charles Xavier the first.

1731 A.D. Mora Grace Evans moves to London to work as an eye for Avalon.

1733 A.D. Mora eventually finds her way to Otherworld and starts helping mutants, using the Phoenix's rebirth.

Benjamin Evans's history:

In 1733 A.D. Benjamin Evans takes his sister's place as the eyes of Avalon when she moves to Otherworld to help mutants there.

1735 A.D. While working as an eye for Avalon, Benjamin hears about a young woman in an asylum who claims to see visions of the future. He becomes curious and goes to the asylum, meeting Mindy Lambert. Once there, Benjamin discovers that she can see possible futures. Using his Psionic abilities, he gets her out of the asylum and returns to Avalon Island.

Once there, she is taken in by house Ravenclaw. After giving her the Phoenix's rebirth person to strengthen her body and mind, Benjamin and house Ravenclaw work with her to control her abilities.

Once Mindy gained control of her abilities, she worked with the elected official to invest Avalon's money into successful ventures. During her free time, she also wrote down what the most likely events are for the future.

1740 A.D. Benjamin and Mindy marry. Later that year, Mindy gave birth to their first child, a son named Christopher Alaric Evans/energy absorption, conversion, and transference.

1741 A.D. Mindy Lambert Evans gives birth to twins Leon and Daphne Evans. Later Leon develops time manipulation, while Daphne develops soul absorption.

Leon went to house Lovegood while Daphne went to house Bones. During the day, they would train with their mentors at their houses, and their parents would start their magic education at night.

1752 A.D. Daphne and Leon begin their education at Gilgamesh Academy.

1762 A.D. After graduation, Leon studied combat under House Gryffindor, while Daphne worked with her mother to help Avalon avoid conflict.

History of Christopher Alaric Evans:

1761 A.D. After graduating from the Gilgamesh Academy of magic, Christopher decided to learn the world's secrets by using his abilities, so he traveled the world.

1765 A.D., Christopher ended up in Tibet and studied magic under the ancient one. After training under the ancient one, Christopher travels to Paris.

While in Paris, he discovers a mutant named Nina Thurman. She has the powers of tactile telekinesis and Psychometry.

1770 A.D. Nina gives birth to their first child Lily Francesca Evans. However, Nina passed away during childbirth.

1771 A.D. Needing help to raise his daughter, Christopher returns to Avalon village with his daughter. After dropping his daughter off at the town, he leaves, unable to raise his daughter because she looks so much like her mother.

History of Lily Francesca Evans:

1782 A.D. Lily begins her study at Gilgamesh Academy of magic while training with House Ravenclaw since their abilities are similar to hers. While training with the house Ravenclaw, she meets Henry of House Potter, a mutant brought to the village by her grandfather.

Through the village's magic, Henry discovered he was the child of Gideon and Candra to ancient and very powerful immortal mutants, granting him the power of replication.

Through their shared ability, Henry grows close with Lily by the time they graduated in 1792, andthey decide to marry. After marrying in late 1792, they began training with House Black to become operatives of Avalon. Over the next year, they are House Black's best operatives.

1798 A.D. Lily and Henry were contacted by Avalon village. Lily's distant aunt Mora Evans reached the village and said she needed help getting Otherworld mutants out. While the town felt bad for their brethren, they weren't willing to send in a large expedition, but with Lily and Henry's adaptive abilities, they would offer them the chance to get them out.

Lily and Henry train with a representative of all the houses for the next two years to prepare for their mission.

1800 A.D. Lily and Henry go to Otherworld.

1810 A.D., Lily and Henry infiltrated the Otherworld Academy and began learning about the realm's history and magic. With her abilities, Lily can pick up forgotten magic from essential sites around the dimension, and Henry can mimic a lot of the magic he sees.

Harry was brought out of his thoughts as the plane began to descend. When his mother discovered he was looking for information about their history, she took the book. She gave it back right before they went on the last expedition to smuggle more Otherworld mutants to earth as if she knew they would be separated.

Flipping the tray, he placed the brown leather book into his duffel bag.

The plane touched down with a jolt, the engines' whine echoing through the plane's curved white walls.

After a few minutes, people began disembarking, and Harry rose to his feet. Slinging the duffel bag over his shoulder, Harry moved towards the plane's exit with renewed purpose.

He would help the mutants rise, just like Mordred did in his world. They would build a haven for themselves and have their place in the world whether humanity liked it or not, but first, his eyes narrowed; he would find who killed Robert Frank and make them pay in blood.
