Chapter 10: Happy Holidays
After everything was resolved and Chief Boyle took the contract to city hall, everyone within the Fenton household began to enjoy the start of what will HOPEFULLY be a long tradition of "peaceful" Christmas evenings.
"Who wants eggnog?..."Jack said as he held up the pitcher.
"Here..."Johnathan said as he raised his hand.
Jack poured him another glass and the blonde man smiled, before taking a sip.
After he co-signed the contract, he and Solene decided to sit tight and enjoy. He wasn't the only one as Star called her mother to bring Pierre to Fenton Works...under the condition that Jean Luc and Colette are not brought along.
"It would be nice if they at least would get along for Christmas...maybe I should consider getting a contract too..."Stella thought, while Maddie was holding and cooing at Pierre.
"You're such a good boy, aren't you?..."Maddie said in baby talk as Pierre giggled.
"Yeah, he is a real cutie. Thankfully, he takes after you..."Solene said, making a slight jab at Jean-Luc, though Stella didn't see it as that.
"Thank you..."Stella said, still feeling awkward as her ex-husband's girlfriend cooed at her son.
She chose not to comment on it, and just settled for the compliment.
During this time, the teenagers were talking together and enjoying the small Holiday gathering.
"So, what do you think?..."Star asked, while her boyfriend thought silently.
Danny smiled.
"Let's see...no fires...no yelling...no breaking things...no cops coming by...and no crazy ghost authors with short tempers and tendencies to take too far after my head? So far so good..."Danny said with a shrug.
"I'll say..."Sam said as she enjoyed a candy cane and let herself be cheery a bit longer.
"I so wish I could see you act like this more often..." Star admitted.
"Don't get used to it. Soon as it's tomorrow, I'm back to being my usual independent self..." Sam reminded.
"Lucky us..." Tucker grumbled as he got up to use the bathroom while Valerie left to make a phone call.
"Ooh, someone's under the mistletoe..."Jack teased as he pointed to the two.
Tucker blinked before he looked up to see the plant Jack just said. He also saw Valerie in front of him and he quickly became nervous.
"Uh...I swear, I didn't plan this. Honest..."Tucker stammered, thinking she was going to hit him.
Valerie rolled her eyes in amusement before going with the tradition. She planted a light kiss on Tucker's cheek, shutting him up and making turn bright red.
"Merry Christmas, Tucker..."Valerie said, before walking away to go talk to Star and leave him.
Tucker just stood there, looking lost and blushing beat red. He then melted into a dreamy gaze and collapsed.
"Best Christmas ever..."He let out, finally getting a kiss from her.
Danny and Sam both saw this and chuckled.
"I guess miracles do happen on Christmas..."Sam joked.
"They sure do..."Danny said, happy that he can enjoy it for once.
Star couldn't hide her smile at seeing him like this. She was happy that he seemed to finally be relaxing right now.
In the meantime, Johnathan was enjoying the company of both his girlfriend and ex wife. It was nice to everyone getting along after the ugly mess of his divorce, raising of Star alone, and eventual reconnecting with said ex-wife while enjoying a new love.
"Things have changed..."He thought, finishing his eggnog.
Johnathan was up to put his glass in the kitchen sink when Stella was coming back, having made a phone call.
Both stopped from colliding when Stella and Johnathan looked up and realized that they were under a certain plant with of green leaves with red dots.
It was mistletoe
"This is..."Johnathan began to speak, pausing mid sentence as he pointed up..
"Awkward..."Stella said, eyes darting away.
A small blush appeared, but was ignored as she tried to back away, though for some reason, she seemed unsure about something.
Solene saw them under the mistletoe, frowning but tried to save the two.
"No worries, I can do it in your place..."She said as she took Johnathan and the two smiled.
"I am okay with this..."Johnathan said as they kissed after she swapped places with Stella.
"Oh...uh...yeah...me too..."Stella said, slightly disappointed as she watched them kiss and her heart sank a bit...until she was realizing what she was feeling and shook her head.
"Where is my head lately?..."She thought, not understanding how she felt as she went to get another drink to stop thinking about it.
"Mama?..."Pierre let out, looking confused.
Stella pushed that out of her mind and directed her attention to her son, who was still in her arms. Stella sighed, placed a smile on her and cradling her little boy, forgetting about her inner turmoil.
"Merry Christmas, Mon petit garçon..."The blonde mother said as she kissed him on the forehead, earning a giggle from him.
That got her mind off... whatever that was.
Even so, everyone continued the party. Even Jack and Maddie managed to have a nice moment together, a rarity during this season.
"This is nice..."Maddie said, seeing all the merriment.
"Yeah, can't believe that we almost ruined the holidays forever for us..."Jack said, nodding.
"All you because you couldn't accept I'm right..."Maddie muttered under her breath, but her husband heard her.
"No… you couldn't..."Jack said, frowning.
Maddie frowned as well in response.
"No! Y- no… no… we can't relapse!..." Maddie said, realizing what they were doing.
Her husband did too and they both panicked.
"Oh man...that was close..."Jack said, not wanting to risk violating the contract and upsetting his kids again.
"Yeah. I can't believe we almost made signing that thing all for nothing..."Maddie said, embarrassed by her own actions.
"Yeah, don't want Boyle back here...or Danny and Jazz threatening us not to see our future grand-kids again..."Jack said, wiping his forehead clean.
The married couple tried to relax and NOT think about Santa or their past argument. They promised their kids (and are contract bound to keep that promise), so they needed something else to do.
"We need a new tradition..."Maddie said, before noticing her kids, especially her son.
She saw Danny with Star. She whispered something into his ear, and Danny laughed and smiled, looking truly happy right now.
It made her smile.
"She really is good to him. To think she used to make fun of him, but I am glad that Danny has her in his life now..."Maddie said, recalling their past and approving of their relationship.
"Well, I'm not surprised. After all, if there is anything Fenton men are known for, it's for having great taste in women..."Jack said, as he sent a goofy look at his wife.
Maddie smiled at that and rolled her eyes playfully, before giggling.
"I suppose so..."She said, holding his hand.
She found herself losing interest in the feuding, deciding this was more enjoyable.
Jack looked at the empty ceiling, like he was counting tile, when an idea came to him. In one swift motion, he lifted his wife and dipped her like they were dancing.
"Jack! What are you doing?..." Maddie asked, confused.
"You know, I never got mistletoe, but I think I know where to start making some happy memories. Plus, you did say that we need some new traditions..." Jack said, leaning into his wife.
Maddie heard this and smiled.
"We most certainly do..."She said, leaning forward as well.
The two smiled as they shared a Christmas kiss. For all their disagreement about Santa Claus, there was more than enough love to override their arguments, especially with how things are going from this day forward.
Outside
Danny and Star both stepped outside to take a breather, wanting some along time. However, Danny's ghost sense went off and he became defensive.
"We got company..."He said.
"I thought you said that ghosts aren't suppose to fight on Christmas..."Star complained.
"Relax, Blondie. I come in peace..."Was heard.
The couple groaned as they heard this, recognizing the voice.
"You know what...I almost wish it WAS for a fight..."Danny muttered.
"Oh, don't worry Baby-Pop. I think I might be able to schedule a little head trauma for you tomorrow..."Ember quipped as she appeared.
"Lucky me. I feel so flattered..."Danny said sarcastically as Star glared at the ghostly rocker.
"What do you want?..." Star asked.
"I'm just expecting a thanks for being the one to leave those two their coal pile..."Ember revealed.
The couple blinked in shock and disbelief.
"Wait...YOU were the one who sent that bag of coal to my parents and made them think it was Santa..."Danny asked, recalling what he heard from them after the contract was signed.
Ember nodded.
"Yeah. I did. I may not care about what happens under your roof...but even I thought all their fighting on Christmas was disgraceful and stupid. Plus, I can't mess with you if you're already upset..."Ember said with a smirk and shrugged.
"And.. you're expecting a thanks?..." Danny asked.
"No duh..."She said, with some attitude, but also a smirk on her face.
Danny didn't like that he might owe this ghostly rocker anything, especially this. However, he also knew that was probably a factor in his parents finally giving in.
He sighed.
"Alright...well...thanks...for...you know...snapping my parents into reality. I never thought I'd say thanks to you for anything..."Danny said.
"A kiss would be nice..."Ember said coyly as she tried to get closer, while Star was fuming red.
Danny pushed her back and glared at her.
"Don't think for a second that this means I owe you anything. In case you forgot, you have tried taking over the world countless times, attacked and nearly killed me, Star and our friends countless times and you don't exactly have my consent when you make moves. Plus, you even helped Youngblood kidnap our parents to use as his ship's human battery. One good deed doesn't make all of the bad you've just go away in an instant or make me want to be around you...but for whatever it's worth, I appreciate the action..."Danny said, as begrudgingly as possible.
Ember just shrugged and smiled a confident grin.
"Eh, can't blame a gal for trying..."She said.
"I can..."Star muttered, hating that she was still too close to Danny.
"Sure I can't convince you to follow me to under a mistletoe?..." Ember asked.
"No..." Danny said flatly.
Ember only scoffed, but just smirked. She clearly wasn't discouraged at all.
"Ciao Baby-Pop, Merry Christmas. Maybe next time, ditch the blonde doll and spend time with a real woman who can show you how to really rock your world..."Ember said, before vanishing in a whirlwind of fire.
"UGH!..."Star said, stomping her foot, really wanting to clobber the ghostly diva.
"Easy there, Starlight. She's gone and I didn't go with her..."Danny said.
"I know...but she...ugh...she gets under my skin almost as much as Colette does. Almost..."Star complained.
"At least she's honest and at least with Ember, I can fight her and not hold back at..."Danny said, happy that fake redheaded train wreck hasn't bothered us all day today.
Meanwhile
With Colette
Colette was in a bad mood and nothing around could fix that. In fact, her mood was just getting worse by the minute. Her stepmother and half brother had gone and left her alone, while her father had left to get his own "fun" by going to a "gentleman's club" that was North of their home, no doubt planning to do things that he didn't want his wife to know about.
Colette didn't care, to be honest.
All she did know is that she is alone and bitter. She had no one to complain too, but herself.
"No Danny under the mistletoe. No pure diamond encrusted golden phone case and only 3 dozen presents. What happened to all those designer clothes that I asked for?!..."Colette muttered as she laid face up on the bed.
With a huff, she decided one thing can make her feel better.
"Whatever...first chance I get, I am going to steal Danny from Estelle and make him my Christmas gift to me..."Colette said, ready to plot and scheme some more.
Unfortunately for her, she did find one gift that was hidden behind the tree and it was quite large and heavy to move.
"Another gift for Moi? Finally, I can't believe Mama and Papa are so clueless that they forgot to give me this..."Colette complained as she checked the box.
The tag just read "To Colette, From Santa". She rolled her eyes.
"How childish, but whatever. They still owe me two dozen more gifts..."She muttered as she opened it, only to be met with utter disappointment and immediate anger once she saw what it was.
It was a large bag but it wasn't a designer bag like she wanted...and it was already filled with...something dark and messy that infuriated the fake red haired girl.
"How dare someone have the nerve to send this much coal to me!?..."Colette screamed in anger as her misfortune for getting exactly what she deserves on Christmas day.
A reminder how naughty she is.
She was so outraged that she lost her temper.
"As soon as I learn who sent me this, I will turn them inside out!..."She screamed as she kicked one of the lumps of coal so hard that it bounced and ricocheted across the house and knocked over the fake yet very expensive Christmas tree and shattering it to pieces.
Once she saw what she did, she gulped.
"Uh oh!..."She whimpered, realizing that she was gonna be in trouble once her parents get back.
A punishment that she most definitely deserves, to say the least.
Back with Danny and Star
Danny and Star were still annoyed with Ember's "visit", and processing Ember's surprising generous gift she had given to her "Baby-pop", but for different reasons.
The blonde girl was torn here. While she was glad that Danny's parents received a wake up call, she was a little upset that Ember managed to upstaged her on her first Christmas with Danny.
"I can't believe her..."She muttered, still angry that her ghostly rival made another attempt to steal or seduce her beloved, though Danny himself calmed her down.
"Come on Star, even you have to admit that what Ember did wasn't so bad. At least she didn't ambush me with mistletoe or kidnap me..."Danny said.
Star was still puffing her cheeks as Danny snakes his arms around her. She then sighed, still not happy with dealing with the ghostly diva.
"I still hate her...but she's only slightly made me hate her less than Colette. And we both that it's certainly not the hardest thing to do..."Star said, stating a fact as she crossed her arms.
"Same..."Danny said, completely understanding where Star is coming from.
The couple let out a shared sighed together, and then locked arms.
"Let's forget your rival who you hate the least paying us a visit and go back to enjoy the rest of our time..."He said, both deciding she wasn't worth it.
Though a part of him was somewhat grateful for what Ember did for him, it wasn't enough to make him change his mind about her. Besides, they are still enemies and Star will always be the girl he loves.
"I just hope that she doesn't think this means she has a shot..."He thought, not looking forward to their next encounter with the ghostly diva.
Meanwhile
In The Ghost Zone
Ember had returned and she was on her way back to the Christmas party. However, she wanted to stop by her realm and to quickly freshen up before going back to performing at the party.
"I just hope that Blondie keeps her guard up, besides taking Baby-Pop for myself is more fun whenever she fights back..."She muttered, having wished she did get him under the mistletoe but she didn't.
She would have to wait until tomorrow if she wanted the chance to steal another kiss from him without having to worry about breaking the Christmas truce.
"Story I'll tell our kids..."She thought, snickering since she knew that Phantom's girlfriend likely can't stand the fact that Ember desires him.
The ghostly diva then went to her bathroom and after about 5 minutes, finished freshening up. Stepping out, she headed to the door. That is until she halted in her tracks, when she saw that wasn't there when she first entered her realm.
Ember blinked when she saw a wrapped present in her realm in the same color scheme as her guitar.
"What's this? This better not be one of Skulker's lame attempts to get me to take him back..."She muttered.
However, to her surprise, the tag just said "To Ember, from Santa."
She rolled her eyes.
"Oh please. Don't make me laugh. I bet Kitty must be behind this this surprise or something..."She said, deciding to play along.
Ember unwrapped it and her eyes lit up in shock as she saw that it was exactly what she wanted for Christmas. She gasped in shock and in awe when she held it in her hands.
"A DELUXE 1979 TURBO BLUE FIRE GUITAR?! HOW?! THEY HAVEN'T SOLD THESE SINCE THE SEVENTIES!..."Ember said as she carefully examined the well crafted replica.
She soon saw a note and saw that it was next to the spot where the guitar was propped up.
"Dear Ember, you did a very kind thing, and every good deed must be rewarded especially on Christmas, despite your so called status as a villain. I hope you change for the better and find a different way to be loved. Still, I think you really earned this and hope you have a wonderful holiday. Merry Christmas, love Santa..."Ember read as her eyes wide in bewilderment.
She gasped and she almost couldn't believe what was going on.
"Wait...he DOES exist?!..."She exclaimed caught completely by surprise.
She then thought about it, shrugging, having already come to terms with it.
"Then again...I'm a ghost and even the ghost of Time Clockwork exists...so, I guess nothing is off the table at this point..."Ember said, grinning widely as her new guitar and enjoying it.
"This rocks. I'm keeping this safe from everyone as soon as I show it off..."She said, grinning madly as she couldn't wait to break in this new guitar of hers as soon as possible.
However, she tripped over something and fell into trash bin full of rejected music sheets, but thankfully her new guitar was unharmed.
"What the heck, there's another note?..."She a bit confused and curious, only to see that it's a bag of coal with a note on it.
She blinked and began to read it.
"Still...while you do a rare act of kindness, Danny is right. ONE good deed isn't enough to excuse a year's worth of you being naughty and hurting people. I simply cannot overlook those...so try a little harder to be good and maybe someone, maybe not Danny, would want to date you...and maybe I might get you off my naughty list too..."Was written and a frowny face on it.
Ember was not all that bothered with the note, before crumpling up said note and throwing it away in trash bin with the rest of her rejected music sheets.
"Eh...he's not wrong. But I won't be bribed into changing who I am just because some fat man in a big furry red suit says so..."Ember said, as she began to strum her guitar and let the music echoed with her realm.
She headed back to the Christmas party, unable to wait and tell Kitty about everything she did and showing off her new guitar.
With Danny and Star
Danny and Star were both have had quite the roller-coaster of their first Christmas together.
"I still can't believe that blue haired hothead did that for you before I could..."Star complained.
Danny sent her a comfort smile, as he wrapped his arms around her, mirroring what she did for him earlier today.
"Don't worry, you're the only girl that I want to be under the mistletoe..."Danny said.
Star smiled at that and returned his warm, loving and very welcoming gesture.
The two remained like that and looked up towards the many clouds from up above as they watched the snow flakes fall from the sky, two snow flakes in particular had fallen right in front of them in a dance-like swirling motion...almost like magic.
"Best Christmas yet..."Star said, staring deeply into her boyfriend's now bright and loving blue eyes.
"I agree, Starlight..."Danny said, staring right back at into the beautiful eyes of his girlfriend.
"Star, I mean it...thank you...so much...for everything..."He said, truly meaning ever word he said with a tone in his voice that suggested that he finally had a bit of Christmas holiday spirit within him.
"You've helped me way more than you'll ever know. You really are the brightest Starlight in my life. I promise that someday soon I'll find someway to pay you back, just give me some time to think of something really good..."He said, chuckling joyfully as he scratches the back of his head.
Star felt his face heat up while she beamed with joy. She then hugged him tightly in a warm embrace that Danny quickly returned.
"Hey, I'm your girlfriend. It's my job to make sure that you're happy and be there for you whenever life's got you feeling down. Plus, this is my way of thanking you. For everything, from saving me on the island, helping me deal with my parents, that thing with Solene, helping me bond with Pierre... you will never owe me anything, Danny-Boo..."Star said, being as sincere as possible, as she places one of her hands on his chest right where his heart is.
He blushed and smiled at this.
"Wow... thank you..."Danny said, making her chuckle and feel loved.
"Are you kidding me? Thank you. Plus, it felt really nice being your rock for a change..." She responded, as she places her forehead against Danny's.
"Glad to hear that. I guess we'll keep on looking for one another and be each other's rocks..."Danny said, chuckling and feeling more in love with her, if that was even possible.
"You got that right, my dashing superhero..."Star said, still beaming at him.
The young couple was about to kiss, but that's when they heard something appear seemingly out of thin air and drop near their feet.
They soon spotted a pair of presents on Danny's stoop, with tags that had their names on them.
"Huh, where did these come from?..."Danny asked.
"They weren't there a second ago. We'd have noticed..."Star said, wondering who they belong to.
"Hey...these are addressed to us..."Danny said, surprised by this as he read the names on the tags attached to the Christmas presents.
"You don't think Ember came back to mess with us and/or butter you up again?..."Star accused.
"It can't be her. My ghost sense didn't go off..."Danny said as he looked around their surroundings just to be sure., but he didn't see any sign of her.
He figured whoever left them wasn't a ghost. He also saw a note on each gift, each one written with something different.
He picked up his and began reading the note.
"Dear Danny...you've been such a good boy and a spectacular hero, so I believe that you deserve this. I'm sorry for not being able to come sooner...and for that silly argument your parents always get into but thanks to what happened today, I think they finally got the message. My bad for not coming sooner, and not able to lighten the troubling burden you've been going through this time of year, but I didn't want to make one parent lord it over the other. Hopefully, that horrible tradition can finally be put to an end this year..."Was written, while the ghost boy seemed shocked and continued reading, astonished by who had wrote him this letter.
"Anyway, I hope this will more than make up for my lack of leaving you anything..."Danny said as wondered what it was.
The ghost boy opened the gift and, to his shock, he was seeing something he asked for years ago. He was stunned speechless at what he saw in the Christmas gift.
"N-No way..."Danny said, as he stared at the gift, nearly dropping to his knees in shock and amazement, nearly dropping the package.
"What is it?..."Star asked.
"It's the piece of meteorite and with a miniature scale models of the first spacecraft that I asked for when I was 5..."Danny said, feeling both dumbfounded and overjoyed. "They don't even make these anymore. They stopped selling when it turned out it isn't even real meteorite, just something they shaped to look like it..."He said, looking amazed and stunned as he put it on, before a large smile morphed on his face, as his space fanboy side of himself was beaming through.
Danny felt giddy as he enjoyed his gift.
Star was stunned and she checked her own letter and read it out loud.
"Dear Star, you have been such a good girl this year, a stark contrast to the past 3. I know things have been tough given your family situation, and dealing with certain individuals that I won't name for now. I also know that you had lost your way...but you have changed for the better and I have seen all the good you have done and then some, as well as how much you matured when you decided to give your mother another chance to mend your relationship. That took a lot of maturity to do so, and I know that your father is very proud of you. I am more than happy to inform you that you've now moved up on top of my nice list, and as long as you stay as kind as you are now, you'll stay there. I also appreciate all the help you did by trying to make Danny happy, he needed it. Unlike Ember, I'm sure you'll remain good by this time next year. Speaking of which, I'm very glad that he won't have to endure that horrible tradition of his parents anymore, Thank You for your big help in ending that..."She read out loud and was flabbergasted, wondering who knew what they did so well.
Star quickly opened the gift and gasped.
"It's the special color pencils with erasers, all 104 colors including Scarlet Red, as well as the watercolor inks 250 set with paint brush and rinse cup. But those have been sold out..."Star said, grinning like crazy.
She recalled that she had tried get them herself but they got sold out before she got a chance, which really bummed her out. She also recalled they were discontinued, making it harder to get her hands on them.
Now, they were right in front of her, like magic.
"But...how? And who could've known all we did today?..."She asked, while her boyfriend is just as confused as she was.
They heard the sound of jingling bells ringing and looked up before something made them question their own sanity.
"No way..."Danny said, jaw dropping as he wasn't sure what to think about what he is now seeing with his own eyes.
"Not possible. Is this really happening right now?..."Star said as her jaw also dropped, before she rubbed her eyes just to be sure that she wasn't seeing things.
It didn't change anything.
They still saw a sleigh in the air, being pulled by almost a dozen reindeer. Inside it was an arm in a red coat, waving down at them despite the rider himself not showing his face, but they could definitely a white beard and a familiar red hat too.
"Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to Amity Park's favorite couple!..."Santa waved at them, before his hands glowed and snowflakes swirled around hands and were launched in front of him.
That created a portal, one he and his reindeer flew inside of and disappeared, but not before shouting one last thing.
"Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night! Ho Ho Ho!..." Santa said, with so much gusto before flying his reindeer into the portal and vanishing into thin air as the portal turned to bits of some snowflakes.
It took the two 10 seconds finally react.
"So...THAT'S how he's able to deliver all those presents so fast..."Star said before the shock returned to her.
She and Danny then realized that they saw THE Santa Claus and he just gave them gifts.
"So...that just happened...and my dad was apparently right all along..."Danny said, at a loss.
"Should we...tell someone or do something? Or should we keep it to ourselves?..."Star asked, not sure how to handle this discovery.
Danny took a quick moment to really think about her question and sighed. He then shook his head with a a carefree smile on his face.
"No one would believe us, and I doubt even our friends will without some kind of proof. Plus, I can just imagine my dad gloating that he was right to my mom forever. That would just cancel out the whole point of the contract..."Danny said, already figuring how it'd go.
Star thought about and understood her boyfriend's reasoning. She nodded.
"You're probably right..."She admitted, before she admired her present and held it close.
She smiled, as she could wait bring them home and put them to good use on her next personal art project.
"I'll remember to leave him a special plate next year..." Danny said.
"I'll help you. I don't mind..." Star said as she wrapped her arm around him.
"I love you, my Christmas Angel..."Danny said as he held the beautiful blonde girl in his arms.
"I love you, my holiday hero..."Star said, nuzzling her cheek into his.
She then cupped his face in her hands and brought Danny's face face closer to hers. Both stared at each other lovingly. The young couple soon shared a kiss, feeling a spark go through them as they embraced each other.
They were both elated as their first Christmas together came to an end and miraculously ended on a happy note.
"Now this is the real Christmas present that I've been waiting for..."Danny thought, feeling happy as possible.
"Here's hoping to goes well next year..."Star thought, feeling true bliss as the cold weather around them was forgotten and all they could feel was warm and joy.
They soon went back inside to rejoin the small party with their families and friends, both happy and Danny, for once, could truly feel joy, merriment and celebration on Christmas day.
Finally, his issues with the holiday came to an end.
Star, meanwhile, felt like a Christmas miracle was granted for her beloved boyfriend. She smiled as she remained close to him for the rest of the party, while Danny's parents served everyone a late Christmas dinner that MIRACULOUSLY didn't come alive and attacked everyone.
The blonde girl felt bliss, as she remained close to the guy she loves. She was certainly looking forward to spending their Christmas together next year and the year after that and so many more to come.
With Vlad
The halfa had "enjoyed" yet another lonely Christmas, all alone...with no wife...no children...and no Packers team to call his own.
"Another year wasted!..."Vlad grumbled as he sipped his drink.
He made plans to stay longer as soon as he heads to the front desk. However, something changed his plans.
There was a knock on his hotel door and he sat up.
"Delivery..."Was heard.
Vlad raised a brow and figured there was no harm in seeing what it was.
He opened the door and saw a delivery man holding a Christmas present, a comically large one.
"Here you go..."The guy said.
"Uh...thanks..."Vlad said as he signed for the package and had it placed on the desk.
Once he was gone, he wondered who sent him this.
"It's probably from that fool Jack Fenton...or...maybe Maddie finally accepted he's not good enough for her..."He thought, since this gift's survival depends on that answer.
"I suppose there is only one way to find out..."He said as he approached it.
He frowned and raised a brow when he saw a how crudely wrapped it was while also having a hand-print in mud on the side...and he saw a handmade card on it too.
One with a heavy scent of strong, almost aged kind of perfume and even a kiss mark on it...but not from the same lipstick that Maddie wears.
"What in the deuce?!..."He said as he checked the card and saw the writing...he also saw how it was written.
"Merry, Christmas, Honey Lamb...I's got the info you weren't home...I miss ya'll and can't wait until I can give ya'll a big ol' Christmas kiss under the mistletoe. Who knows? I might come flyin' in...Forever yours, Alicia..."Was written, and a picture of the same woman wearing a red, cheap looking Santa like dress that did NOT flatter her at all and blowing a kiss to the picture, while standing under the mistletoe that was over his head.
Vlad paled and reacted in horror as his bile rose while he registered what he just read.
"AHHH!..."He shouted as he threw the present against the wall.
The lipstick print from the letter ended up on his hand and he desperately tried to wipe it off by blasting his own hand, not caring about the pain.
"How on Earth did she even find out that I am here?! I didn't even tell Jack where I was staying and there's no way anyone at the office even knew which hotel I was at!..."Vlad said in a panic, until he recalled something.
"Who knows? I might come flyin' in..."
Soon, a thought came to him and his knees started to wobble, as he lost all the color in his face as horrible realization dawned on him.
"She...she probably knows I'm here right now...Oh lord, what if she's on her way here?!..."He exclaimed in horror and disgust.
He quickly grabbed his items and stuffed them into his luggage, not caring how messy it looked.
"I gotta get out of here and get to my Colorado estate before that woman finds me and forces me under the mistletoe! I'd rather be stuck in a cabin with Jack and no Maddie!..."He said as he quickly grabbed his things and ran out of the room, slamming the door shut.
His vacation came to an abrupt end, running to the front desk so he can escape as soon as he could.

For old times sake, here are some REPLIES to my loyal and totally awesome reviewers:
RonaldM40196867:
1) I felt that Danny and Jazz needed some form of reassurance that their parents would keep their word.
2) Yeah.
Jebest4781: Thank you :)
Danifan3000: No attack from the food, thankfully.
Invader Johnny: Yeah, you got that right.
Guest: Thank you :)
Soggy Fysher Woods: Thank you for sending 9 reviews in a row. I am also glad that you have enjoyed my Christmas fic so far. :)
Jay The Average Fanboy: Thank you for sending 9 reviews in a row.
Here are my responses to your questions:
1) I think it depends on the type of injury he gets. I do think that he'd heals within a day or two at the most.
2) Yeah, I see Star doing a lot of finger panting as a kid.
3) Yeah, Danny probably would play space related games as a kid.
4) Not sure yet. I guess we will have to wait and see what happens.
5) I assume that they shared the same fate as Cujo. They are probably in the Ghost Zone right now.
6) I think either red or blue.
7) I see that Star and Danny still jog together, among other exercises. I see them doing it a few times a week.
8) I do see her reputation improving quite a bit, but she clearly won't get invited to join the A-listers again. Not that she'd want to join those jerks again, anyway.
9) Maybe green or red.
10) None in particular. I did take some elements from "The Fright Before Christmas".
Luiz4200: Yeah.
JDF Legacier Morphicon: Thank you :)
Here are my responses to your questions:
1) Yes, I think that there would have been some differences, since both girls have different personalities.
2) Not sure. I just assumed that he was either a tyrant in his human life and then became a tyrant again when he became a ghost.
3) I liked Ember's song "Remember", when she played it in her debut episode.
4) She would probably snap at them, at the very least.
5) Hard to say. I like both characters, and I think both girls would be a good match for Danny.
:) It's been a blast, everyone :)
