Nighttime
It is a dark and stormy night in the quiet little town of Royal Woods. In the middle of the now empty road outside the limits, a van that has a two-tone green and white color scheme with two doors in the side, one of which has a broken lock and a window roller, was returning home. It has four rows of seating; one with the drivers' seat and adjacent passenger seat and three with seats for other passengers. The license plate reads "LLLD". On the front of the van is the word "FUNG", which may be the name of the van's manufacturer.
Likewise, the rear door has a badge with the initials "FMC" on the lower right, which may stand for "Fung Motor Company". Inside the truck was a solemn man and a depressed woman staring out the window, a dark silence thick enough to cut through until the man speaks. The brown-haired man wears a dark green T-shirt, brown pants and brown shoes while the woman wears a pink T-shirt, brown pants and black low tops, stained by blood.
Man: Rita, calm down. Everything is going to be alright.
Rita: (turns around) Okay? OKAY?! (Yells as tears flow from her eyes) Lynn, we lost our son, the SON we've been waiting for six years, and you want me to calm down?!
Lynn: (trying miserably not to cry) I know, dear. I'm just as sad as you right now, but crying is going to get us nowhere. We have to, need to move on.
Rita doesn't answer, she just looks back out the window. As they continue driving home, the sound of thunder begins to sound around the skies above them, lightning heralding their coming and they begin to see a vortex spiraling in the sky. At first they thought it was a tornado, but then a golden, angelic light begins to shine through its eye that begins to enlarge. From the rift flies out a radiant comet that lands on the other side of the truck, causing an explosion that draws both of their attention, making them stop the truck.
Lynn: What was that?! A meteorite?
Rita doesn't answer, getting off the truck and investigating the crash site.
Lynn: Rita, wait! (He gets out of the car and chases after her)
Rita arrives at the area of the impact and at the bottom of the crater lies something bundled in a robe.
Rita: What is that?
Rita turns back to tell her husband before being stopped by the sound of a newborn crying. Not thinking twice, she slid down to the bottom and picked it up. Undoing some of the cloth, she realizes that this was no meteorite but a child.
Rita: (the baby in her hands) A baby? (checks down the robe) A baby boy? All the way out here? (She turns the vortex, now already dying out and returning to its stormy origins.)
Looking back at the newborn, she begins to see that the baby has hair white as snow and that the strangest thing about him was his pointed ears like the elves she read about in stories. The baby kept crying before opening its eyes, which shone like golden gemstones. As soon as it made contact with her, he stopped crying and extended his arm, cooing.
Rita: You... You remind me of the son I just lost. (She lowers her head softly)
When Lynn finally arrives at the scene, she sees Rita climb out of the crater with the baby.
Lynn: Rita, why do you have a baby in your arms?
Rita: (still looking at the boy) I don't know. I came to the crater to expect a meteorite or an alien, but instead I found this little gift from the heavens above. Apparently this boy was in the comet itself.
Lynn: Honey, we don't know where he came from or who her.. (she shakes her head) his parents are. I think it's better to leave him here. I think the Hunnicuts farm is nearby, so we can call them-
Rita: (cuts him off, a mother's glare in her eyes) Don't you dare finish that sentence Lynn Loud Sr. We're not going to leave him here to die alone and afraid. We will adopt him, end of story.
Lynn Sr.: What? Are you sure you want to go through with this?
Rita: I'm deadly sure. I want to give him this child the love he needs, the love that was meant for our son. Besides, it's not right to leave him like this.
Lynn Sr.: But that white hair of his, those eyes, and especially those ears. They're not normal.
Rita: Forget the ears!? We'll tell everyone that it was inherited from my father, and we'll say that his ears were a recessive trait from your family.
Seeing no point in arguing with her like this, he nods and the two leave the crash site and head back to their van. Not knowing that someone was watching them this whole time. After seeing them leave, he gives a satisfied expression and leaves, hiding within the fields of wheat. Back in the van, The two dry themselves and the baby off and start the engine.
Lynn Sr.: So, what should we call him?
Rita: (thinks about it for a moment, then recalls the events earlier today) How about... Lincoln?
The Owl House
Return of the Lost Son
1216 Franklin Avenue, Royal Woods, Michigan
14 Years Later
It has been fourteen years since the child from the beyond, now named Lincoln Loud by his adoptive parents and their five daughters, now counting to ten on the current date. The eldest four have already reached adulthood and have departed for their own individual futures, the remaining six staying at home. The exterior of the house is painted white, with a black colored roof, a porch on the front side, a chimney running up the left side of the house, and a garage on the right side. The walls of the basement are made of red bricks, and there is a doggie door on the rear door leading into the kitchen.
In one bedroom which is actually a large closet, decked out with the appropriate amenities, we focus our attention on a teenage boy changing into his schoolwear. There is a bed, dresser, and mirror. He uses the closet's clothes rack to hang his shirts and model spaceships. He also has many comic books and movie action figures inside his room, such as a figure that looks like King Ghidorah from the Godzilla movies, a robot toy that looks exactly like Robby from the 1956 film Forbidden Planet, and another one that looks exactly like Mazinger Z from the manga of the same name. In addition, he has a bookshelf and several posters. The boy wears a black shirt under an orange and black hoodie, along with light-gray jeans and brown sneakers. He notices something and turns to the fourth wall
Unknown: Oh hey, it's been a while. You look different compared to the others who watch us. Whatever, today is a great day because today is the last day of school and tomorrow is the first day of summer vacation. But first I need to get to school.
He opens his door to reveal the hallway in chaos with a wooden floor with a long red rug, and its walls are yellow and beige. The door to the attic and the stairway to the first floor are also accessible via the hallway and it contains a houseplant. Although four of their thirteen human occupants have left, the madness that the six create still stands strong. He leaves his room and when they all see him, they all stop dead in their tracks and glare. Hatred burning in their eyes.
Unknown: Oh, look. Here comes Lincoln the Freak from out of his little hides-hole.
Lincoln: (sighs) Lola, you guys have to stop calling me that, I'm not a freak.
Unknown: So then why do you still have those pointy goblins ears, jinx?
The second has thick brown hair pulled back into a short high ponytail, held up with a black hairband. She is slightly taller than Lincoln and has freckles on her cheeks. Despite her age, her short appearance makes it seem like she's a preteen, not a teenager. Unlike her older sisters, she has a rounded nose like Lincoln and her younger sisters. She wears a red and white jersey with a red "1" on it (her roller derby shirt), red-and-white track shorts, and black cleats with striped white knee-high socks. Lincoln blushes in embarrassment, making him cover his ears with his hood.
Lincoln: Lynn, goblins have green skin. Only elves have this kind of skin tone.
Lynn: And your point is what exactly? Because of you, people make fun of us every chance they get! I still haven't gotten into any more sports because of your bad luck.
Unknown Duo (duet): You ruin our lives!
The third and fourth are nearly identical in her physical appearance to each other. The third has blonde hair, with two downward pigtails tied down with red scrunchies, and is missing her front teeth, like her twin does, wearing a red baseball cap backwards with a small square hole, white socks, white sneakers with blue stripes, and a murky green t-shirt under dark blue overalls. The fourth has long blonde hair that she wears down, and a tuft of hair on top of her head pointed to the right. She is missing her front teeth, like her twin. She wears a long pink gown with a light pink sash, a white pearl necklace around her neck, long pink gloves, white earrings, pink high heels, and a tiara on her head.
Unknown: We, if not I, wish you weren't our brother (a voice says from behind him, making him jump at her appearance.)
The fifth has very pale gray skin and long black hair, with bangs long enough to cover her eyes. She is very thin, and a bit smaller than Lincoln. Dressing in black and white, she wears a black dress over a tank top with black and white stripes, matching black and white striped sleeves and stockings, and black shoes.
Unknown: You are the only one who has brought shame and ruination upon this family.
The sixth wears a short, shaggy, brown wig and large glasses. She wears a green turtleneck sweater, dark pink pants, and brown shoes with no socks, all of which droop down to illustrate her stoic demeanor. These words hurt Lincoln deeply. He has long since learned that people fear and despite that which they do not understand, nor will understand.
Lincoln, along those among his family who still see him as a brother/son have helped dull the pain the others and those outside of his home inflict. But that doesn't mean he isn't immune to their taunts. A four-year old girl comes out, younger than the others and standing at his side. She is smaller than the previous sibling, has blond hair and wears a white shirt with lavender blouse, white socks and black shoes.
Unknown: Girls! How many times do I have to tell you all to leave alone!
Unknown: Pshh. Let's get out of here, we have better things to do. You won't be able to defend that thing forever, Lily. Nor will he be around to protect you and those weirdo friends of yours.
The girls all leave, leaving Lincoln with his youngest sister.
Lily: (approaches him) Don't let them get to you, Lincoln. If it makes you feel any better, I never once thought that you were... that. I think that you're special in every way they could never be. Just like her.
Lincoln: Thanks, Lily. (the two siblings embrace each other) But they do have a point, I won't be around to protect. There may come a day where I have to go away and I might not come back. I'm trusting you to be strong, strong for your friends, strong for colleagues, strong for me. Now I need to get going, I don't want to be late for my last day.
Lily breaks away from him, letting him head into the bathroom. The bathroom is located at the end of the kids' hallway, opposite Lincoln's room at the other end. In it is the shower, toilet and sink. It looks to be the only bathroom in the entire house. It has blue-gray walls and a black-and-white checkered floor.
Lincoln: (looks at the reader) You seem a little confused, aren't sisters supposed to support their brother? (spits into the sink) As if they earned the right to call themselves that in front of me. One of the worst things about having a special set of ears is that people take you for a... you already heard what they called me, and then some. That same, irksome schtick has always happened to me for as long as I can remember, the fact that people make fun of me because I look a little different, that people reject me. Most of my sisters, even my own dad all blame me for all of their failures and etc., just for being like this, as if I didn't even have a choice in the matter. At least back then, I had the support of my older sisters Leni and Luna, my youngest Lily, and Mom.
Lincoln (after he cleans himself up and closes the mirror cabinet.) But now that both of them have moved out, fortunately with that self-centered Lori and the insane Luan. The others have been more brutal and consistent with their attacks. They've somehow made it their mission to make my life a living nightmare. I would have lost myself in psychotic madness, hurting all of them for as long as superhumanly possible if not Mom, Lily and her, keeping me sane all this time. (sighs) Sometimes I wish I was in a place where I would never be treated like a demon.
Rita: (voiceover) Come on Lincoln, girls! You don't want to be late for school!
Lincoln goes down the stairs into Vanzilla, and along with the others, head out to their destinations.
The scene glows gray as another Lincoln appears in front of it.
Lincoln: Before we get further into the story. You probably need to know some things about my downright fractured family. We'll start with the more bothersome members. The image first cuts to a man wearing a sea green sweater over a light green checkered collar and cuffs, brown slacks and shoes. He has a long pointy nose, brown eyebrows, and curly brown hair that is thinning on the top, his thinning hair always connecting to his back hair.
Lincoln: Lynn Loud Sr., the supposed "father" figure of this group. He has always preferred my sisters over me for some reason, as if looking at me causes him great pain. He has tried and failed many times to make me more like them, to shape me into someone he deems as not a disappointment, in this case a cook. I admit that I dabble and there is some talent, but that's not who I am, nor who I want to be.
The second is the tallest among all her siblings. She has large blonde hair (a genetic trait she shares with her mother, even though Lori's hair is slightly longer). She wears a light blue tank top (her mother's old girdle), brown cargo shorts, blue-gray slip-on shoes, and light blue eyeshadow. She also wears white pearl earrings.
Lincoln: Lori, the firstborn daughter and the de facto matriarch of the Louds. Just because she was born first and has a driver's license, she believes that she is in charge of us and deserves more respect. If she deserves anything, it's some of the mockery I was given. Egg-shaped head, webbed feet, flatulence problems, those are some good points to look at. Rude and condescending, clingy to her prized possessions.
Lincoln: (flips the picture to Lori swapping cassette tapes) On some occasions she acts without thinking and commits malicious actions against the others for her own selfish benefits, such as trying to stop Leni from learning to drive so that she can remain the only Loud kid with a license. Would have killed her if I didn't anticipate her ploy. Deep down, she's insecure. She is lonely without the people she loves and cares about and her worst fear is in fact, losing their approval. A fear that somehow became a reality with the Santiagos, don't ask why.
Lincoln flips the picture to someone that has prominent buck teeth, which sport silver braces on her upper and lower teeth, and light brown hair worn up in a large ponytail with a small swirl at the end by a yellow scrunchie (presumably the hair tie), with two long protruding hairs sticking out from the center of her forehead. She dresses in a white sleeveless shirt, a yellow skirt with a checkerboard pattern, yellow socks with a line pattern that are worn all the way up, and brown shoes. She also wears three pink flowers, one on her shirt, and one on each shoe, that serve as gag squirt-flowers.
Lincoln: This yellow stain on comedy is Luan. She has been into comedy since her infancy, wanting to make the world laugh despite the shoddy work on her pun-stained routine. Luan is typically one of the kinder siblings as others would say, she utterly loses control when it comes to pranks, particularly on April Fools' Day. When that day comes, Luan becomes ruthless and crazier than ever to the point of being downright evil and psychotic. If she wasn't that already.
Lincoln: (flips the scene again.) During this day, her pranks can be even more dangerous than usual, like when she placed pitfalls in every corner of the house, transforming the place into a lethal comedy trap. This is the only time of the year where Luan is thoughtless and cruel to her entire family. One day everything turned on its head and everyone now hates her sense of humor, though at least her jokes at home were more tolerable.
Lincoln: (flips to the red sister) Where do I even start with Lynn; athletic, competitive beyond reason, roughhousing, superstitously paranoid, immature, a sore winner and loser, underhanded, basically a step down from Luan in terms of crazy, and third place in terms of anger. She was somehow cut from all but one of her teams, though I have a feeling she'll lose that too after today.
Lincoln (flips to the twins) If Lana and Lola were to be symbolized in one way, Lana would be the head of a coin and Lola would be the tail. The former has more sense, good with animals and engineering, though not sensible enough to give me proper respect. Lola may look pretty and pristine, but there is a Machiavellian demon in that little tantrum-filled head of hers. Getting kicked out of the pageant league after a leak hasn't helped her mood.
Lincoln (flips to the green one) Lisa is more intelligent than all of us put together, but that doesn't make her a saint. Her research has crossed many lines, (puts his hand to his neck) still got some of the scars to prove it. Her work was top-grade until someone new showed up and started to taking credit for her work, some of which he modified and improved all by himself. But that's enough about the haters, let's talk about the more pleasant family members.
He flips the scene to show Rita and Lily along with two others. The first has long, pale-blonde hair, with side-swept bangs, and three pairs of eyelashes. She is almost as tall as Lori, but taller than all her younger siblings. Her main outfit is a seafoam green dress, with white frills, and triangular sleeves. With this, she wears red hoop earrings, white slide slip-on sandals, topped with light green bows, and a pair of rounded white sunglasses with black lenses on top of her head.
The other is slightly taller than Luan, but shorter than Leni. She has short brown hair styled into a near pixie cut length , freckles on her cheeks, and wears light purple eyeshadow. She wears a purple sleeveless shirt with a white skull, torn crew neck, and triangular sleeves, a plaid skirt similar to Luan's (only lavender), a white belt, purple-tipped socks, and high purple boots. A distinguishing feature of hers is her paperclip earrings. She also wears three black bracelets on each of her wrists and a choker around her neck.
Lincoln: Rita was one of the first to support me when they started to hate me for more than just my ears. You've already met Lily. She's basically a mini-me in her own way, carrying some of the best qualities of her sisters without any of the drawbacks. Her words are the most heartwarming. Leni may be ditzy, but her heart is one of solid gold, if not something more valuable. She has managed to grow past some of her mental limits, now on her way to running Renninger's herself.
Lincoln: (sighs) Luna, she was one of the closest people I had the pleasure of meeting. Sure she's the loudest Loud for good reason, but her determination was something to behold, putting her foot down on the others when they mocked me and for liking Sam Sharp more than just a friend. She's currently on tour with her band, the Moon Goats. But she and Leni still contact me from time to time. Now with that all said and done, let's continue with the story, this exposition is making me exhausted.
Royal Woods High School, Royal Woods, Michigan
Morning
Vanzilla pulls up to the local high school and Lincoln and Lynn get out of the car.
Rita: Have a great day you two!
Rita leaves with the others and Lynn sees her soccer team and leaves, but not before giving him another one of her threats.
Lynn: Sayonara, Stinkoln! (gives him an L sign) Hope you get expelled! (runs off)
Lincoln ignores her and enters the school, and already many of the students were staring at him, he keeps walking towards his locker, all the while listening to the whispers his classmates are saying to each other, causing him to raise his hood again. One of the perks of having pointed ears is the fact that you tend to overhear things you're not supposed to hear. When he reaches a locker, a girl approaches him.
Unknown: Hi, Linc!
She is a fourteen-year-old Dominican-American girl with tan skin, purplish-brown/brownish-purple short hair that is usually styled in a pixie cut, and hazel eyes. Her clothing consists of a pair of ebony earrings, a short-sleeved half-white and half-indigo hoodie with cat ears attached to the hood, high-waisted jean shorts, dark gray capris leggings, and a pair of white loafers.
Lincoln: Oh hey, Luz! (turns to the reader again) Her name is Luz Noceda, and we have been best friends since we were five years old. My mom, met her mom, Camila at the hospital when Lucy was born, having moved here from Gravesfield, Conneticutt. My mom invited her and her daughter to our place for dinner and that's where we first met. At first I thought she was like all the others, not bothering to want to know about and preferring my sisters like everyone else in town, but after knowing that branded her as weird, they didn't want to talk to her and hurt her feelings. I saw her all alone and I felt sad for her, because I was in her shoes too. I approached her, one thing led to another, and that was when our friendship, or pseudo-sibling hood was born.
Luz: Talking to them, again? (points at the fourth wall)
Lincoln: You already know how that works. Sometimes I wonder if I should have ever taught you that technique.
Luz: Anyway, about our presentation. You brought everything that we needed.
Lincoln: (nods) Everything on the list, including spares and extras, but are you sure about this? I mean like Azura just as much as you do.
Luz: (corrects) The Good Witch Azura. Sometimes I wonder if I should have ever let you borrow that book.
Lincoln: Yeah, that. But I think we're going a little too far with this, we're already in hot water fter the Faucet Incident.
Luz: Yes, I know. But don't worry, everything will be fine. I mean, what's the worst that could happen?
What the two of them didn't know was that by making such a report and Luz jinxing themselves would not only get them in trouble again, but it would also put them on an adventure that no one among two realms would ever forget.
And spoilers, the worst does happen
.
TO BE CONTINUE
My first story here and it's not based on my other story I've done on Wattpad.
Owl house is one of my current favorite series and I decided to do a crossover with The loud house.
1 I'm not going to do a love triangle with Lincoln x Luz x Amity. Lincoln has another love interest.
2 The one who gave me the idea to do this crossover was Von the Unstoppable.
3 the cover of the book was made in Gacha club. I don't know how to draw Lincoln with his appearance if he wants to make the cover and draw Lincoln I'll let him
I'm serious all see you in chapter 1 see two.
