This is the last chapter. I'll edit the entire story, then I'll start to prepare for the upcoming chapters. This will be a shorter chapter, but I figured out the vision I want for this story beyond this point.

Flames. Filling my sight from most directions.

Was it my anger, or was it the ground and grass set ablaze right before the gates of Mondstadt? I absorbed the absolute horror surrounding me as I ran into the city and looked around.

There it flew, behind me, a sound that I recognized.

"A ruin guard…" I looked up towards the sky, as it looked to be targeting me from the sky. Was it awe I looked at it with? Or fear? Or anger?

"AETHER! STAY AWAY FROM IT!" I heard Jean call back from me, and I turned toward her.

"Ae- ther." I heard the ruin guard behind me say as it sent thousands of speeding projectiles toward me at speeds I couldn't react to.

I tried to pull my blade, but before I could, that rocket in front of me had already been disabled.

"Leave it all to me." I heard right before the collision of many rockets in front of me.

Noelle stood before me, her shield still strong enough to protect her.

"Lisa! Now!" Noelle pulled me quickly away from the epicenter as Lisa stood at the front, facing the flying ruin guard off.

She was sending off small bursts of Electro while the Ruin Guard was also charging up, and those bursts radiated outward to the point of electrifying the air around the machine.

"Try not to enjoy this too much." Her younger voice harshly spoke out to the Ruin guard. The burst shot up into the sky, almost like lightning in reverse, striking the Ruin guard in the sky. The circuits malfunctioned, and the Ruin Guard fell to the floor, still alive.

I then heard footsteps against the rooftops, and I looked up.

"Jean?" She was breathing hard, and I saw her holding no weapon as she ran, with her blade still sheathed.

Instead of her holding her blade, I saw her summoning an elemental bow in her hands. One made of anemo, like the one I had with Venti.

"Go…"

I saw in a split second her breathing softening, as she locked her eyes on me. Then, she jumped off the rooftop with a single breath, looked toward the now-grounded Ruin Guard, and released her anemo bowstring.

"As one!"

The anemo arrow tore through the Ruin guard, but the lights were still on, and it was still alive.

Then, something even more unexpected, I saw Jean unsheath her Primordial Jade cutter and summon a blade of anemo in her hands. She spun around like a destructive dancer in the air as she descended toward the machine and sliced it into pieces.

It collapsed, finally, as Jean laid her sword inside the ground to stay up, her anemo blade disappearing. She was on her knees, her breath heavy as she tried to get up.

I saw the tattoo on her stomach, glowing through her uniform.

'She was using the gnosis.'

"Jean?"

I approached her and saw her… crying as she tried to get up.

"I thought… I nearly lost you." Her voice was faint and raspy, but I could feel her, even if I couldn't fully hear her.

As I approached her, I noticed what state she was in. Her skin looked dirtier, her hair wasn't as prim and proper as it should have been, her eyes had dark circles under them, and her uniform was covered in soot.

"They… were calling your name. I thought they had gotten you."

She broke down, and I just got onto my knees where she was and hugged her.

"Thank you… for saving me."

I felt her cry, again, into me. I felt Noelle and Lisa join the hug as they teared up.

"What happened to Amber? Eula? Barbara?"

"They-" Jean swallowed. "They're alright. But they… can't stay here."

"What?"

"I… had to execute the man who had raped Mona. I remember you talking about her and caring about her, so when I heard she was raped… I didn't hesitate to execute him. But he said, in his final moments, he'd make sure none of us would be safe. It was like… he was possessed. And moments later, the 100 ruin guards came."

She looked… terrified.

"I thought the 100 ruin guards weren't a threat?"

"They weren't. But… it still terrified me. This… was a threat. And they're targeting you, as well as us..."

'So that's what Mona meant.'

"I know you relocated Mona, from what I've heard from Miles. I need you to take Amber, my sister, and Eula away from here for the time being. We've got our pregnancies delayed, but they're still going to go through the stages of pregnancy. I don't want them to be in this place, fighting for their lives while they're giving birth."

"But… can you fight them?"

She breathed out, catching up to her breath as she finally stood.

"Yes. I'll protect this place. I'll make sure this will be safe." She stood up, and lifted her blade, as people started to repopulate the front of the gates and looked at her with awe.

"I will defend the city of Mondstadt from these monsters!" She screamed, and people started to cheer and clap for her.

"I will do so as the acting Grandmaster of this city!" She yelled again, and people were rooting for her name as she spoke.

"Go. These monsters are going after you. So please… please go. The girls… they're going to rendezvous in the church." I heard her voice crack, in pain, as she looked down.

Heavy-hearted, I ran across the sea of people, going towards Jean, and ran away towards the church. Amber, Eula, and Barbara were waiting in front of the church.

"What? What happened?" Amber asked

"Amber, Barbara, Eula… you'll have to come with me." I looked at all of them.

"For what reason?" Eula spoke, concerned.

I sighed. "I… Jean has ordered the three of you to evacuate with me till I can control your pregnancies. I have a home where you can stay, but you'll need to trust me."

I pulled the teapot out and let it float in the air. Both Amber, Eula, and Barbara seemed confused.

"It's my home. Inside it, there's a mansion. Knock on the door, and say you're my… wives. You'll meet Mona. She's… someone else I love."

Amber was the first to nod.

"I'll go inside. Eula?"

Eula nodded as well. "Wherever you and Amber go, I will help."

Barbara also nodded. "I'm going to miss Mondstadt." She looked down.

"Me too." I sheepishly looked at Barbara before I kissed her, Eula, and Amber on the lips with short kisses right before they went inside the pot.

They went inside without much of a sound. Meanwhile, I looked at the pot in my hands, remembering Mona's prediction.

"I have to go to Sumeru now."

I ran across the rooftops, using anemo to fly above the walls, as I finally left the City of Mondstadt again.

"I'm sorry."

I ran off, and I kept running and running.

Till I reached Sumeru.

Yeah, this was a short chapter. But after Aether finishes his quest in Sumeru, Aether will go to Liyue. That way, he can still accomplish the events and won't just stay in one place for an extended period as he not only explores the place but also falls in love with the women there. Anyways the first official story is done, and now I'll edit it.
