Chapter 9:

Trusting One's Idea

At night, while everyone in Equestria slept, Starswirl was awake for he was in his tower in the center of the kingdom, painting two Alicorns with different colored paints and brushes.

"Oh, Cobalt and Aurora, every day your grand colt, Dusk, grows more handsome into a king that will someday make us all very proud," Starswirl said in a cheerful tone as he painted the blue sky over one of the Alicorns, signifying that this one was Dusk.

"But this foal, Ocellus, grows stronger and Stone Heart has filled her heart with hate," Starswirl said for his voice had turned solemn as he painted the next Alicorn with a dark pink mane and a black mark on its chest, signifying that this one is Ocellus.

"I'm very worried, my friends. Things aren't going well, no," Starswirl said with worry in his voice. He could not imagine another dark period like Chrysalis's reign, but if Ocellus stayed on the path she was on, things may very well be worse than before.

But then he felt the wind blowing against him as he looks up to see some fruit shaking above him.

"Hmmm, you two have a plan?" Starswirl asked, wondering what their plan is.

A fruit came loose and hits the ground, splitting in two halves.

"What?" Starswirl gasped in surprise as he picked up the two halves.

Then Starswirl looked at the painting as he slowly puts the two halves together, figuring out Cobalt and Aurora's idea.

"Dusk? Ocellus? Together? This is the plan?" Starswirl asked, placing the fruit back together.

"Are you two crazy?! This will never work! Oh, Cobalt and Aurora, you two have been up there too long. Your heads are in the clouds!" Starswirl shouted, having a lot of doubt that the plan to bring Dusk and Ocellus together is never gonna work. Not with the amount of hate Stone Heart was putting in Ocellus. It was like a one in a million shot that the plan would work.

But suddenly the winds began to blow fiercely causing Starswirl to change his tune, "Okay! Okay! Okay! Alright! Okay! Alright! I don't think this is going to work but I trust you, Aurora and Cobalt,".

"I just hope you two know what you are doing!" Starswirl called out to them as the winds return to the skies, ready to set the plan in motion.
