Chapter 10:

Ocellus and Dusk All Grown-Up

The next morning, in the Outlands, in the large termite mount, Stone Heart approaches as a proud smile appeared on his face. His plan was working perfectly. Ocellus was in perfect condition to take down Twilight.

"You are ready, my foal," Stone Heart chuckled evilly.

"Nice, very nice," Stone Heart said, pacing around his daughter, who is no longer a nervous young frightful filly.

Now Ocellus stood as a tall villainous looking Alicorn mare with a dark pink mane, moderate cyan eyes, dark amaranth with brilliant amaranth elytra feathered wings, dark grayish arctic blue fur, and her cutie mark is of two masks of Drama and Tragedy.

"You have the same blackness in your soul that Chrysalis had," Stone Heart said, sensing a lot of hate and darkness inside Ocellus that was in Chrysalis's soul once. And he loved it. Ocellus was going to be as great as Chrysalis had been. And in his eyes, Ocellus kinda looked like Chrysalis.

"What is your destiny, Ocellus?" Stone Heart asked, wanting to know how much Ocellus learned in her training.

"I will avenge Chrysalis. Take her place as Queen of Equestria," Ocellus replied with a serious look on her face.

"Yes, what have I taught you?" Stone Heart asked next.

"Twilight is my Enemy." Ocellus replied with hate and anger.

"And what must…you…do?!" Stone Heart asked with hope in his eyes.

"I must…KILL HER!" Ocellus replied, ready to fulfill her destiny to avenge Chrysalis and take her place as 'Queen'.

All the other Outsiders started whinnying in agreement to their future 'Queen' for today is the day they will have their vengeance, reclaim their home, and the Dark Age for Equestria will reign again…forever…

Meanwhile, at the Castle, things were a lot more cheerful.

All the other Alicorns and guards are chattering and whispering for today is a special day. Twilight knew this day was coming and so did Flash. So while Flash was walking to his queen, Twilight took a deep breath and exhaled slowly for she knew it was time and her son was ready. By the time Flash arrive by her side, their son came next.

Dusk has now grown into a handsome stallion. He still has his mother's eyes and mane style and his fathers' coat and hair colors too. Still a perfect blend of both his parents. And for his cutie mark, a telescope and a star.

Dusk walked towards Starswirl, who standing at the gates.

"Prince Dusk," Starswirl greeted with a bow of respect. There was no doubt in his mind that Dusk was a capable young stallion, he just hoped the plan would work.

Shining Armor and Cadance looked at Dusk all grown up and smiled as Cadance wiped away a few tears from her eyes, feeling proud of her nephew.

Even the Mane 5 were proud for this is a happy and proud day for their nephew. The Mane 5 have changed throughout the years while Dusk was growing up.

Pinkie now has party decorations over her mane and tail along with her mane bundled and standing tall on her head.

Rainbow Dash was wearing an orange scarf along with a dark blue jacket and her mane was combed backward.

Applejack was wearing a yellow ascot with red apples on it and her mane was tied into a bun.

Rarity was wearing a sapphire sparkling fur coat and on her mane and tail are gray streaks.

And Fluttershy had her long pink mane tied back together.

Pinkie was the proudest of all the five mares. She was so proud, that she hugged Rainbow.

Dusk makes his way to his parents as he receives some compliments from the mares and the guards such as…

"You can do it, Dusk."

"It is your day."

"My, how you've grown."

By the time Dusk reached his parents, Flash approached him first with a smile and embraced his son.

"You'll do just fine, my son." Flash assured with a smile as Dusk turned to his mother. It was obvious that she was nervous.

"Mom, you have to promise to let do this on my own. Do you promise?" Dusk asked.

Twilight turned to Flash as he looked at her with a smile and a raised brow, wondering if Twilight will let their son do his task on his own.

"Alright, Dusk. I promise," Twilight said with a light smile.

Dusk smiled and hugged his mother, who returned the embrace.

The Mane 5 turned to each other with teary eyes and then started crying like crazy after a moment like that.

After the embrace, Dusk heads off and looked ahead seeing the world waiting for him. The young stallion looked back at his parents with a smile as Twilight nodded in reply, telling her son to go on and explore on his own.

And like that, Dusk takes off on his own and left.

Twilight watches her son go off as the Mane 5 came up to her side and watched as well while watching Dusk go towards the town of their kingdom.

Even though Twilight promised and knows Dusk is big enough to take care of himself, she still needs to make sure her son doesn't get hurt this time, especially as a stallion.

"Make sure my son doesn't get hurt," Twilight whispered to her friends.

Knowing they have a job to do, The Mane 5 started humming acting like they are up to nothing before zooming off to begin their mission to keep an eye on Dusk…again.
