Blood Soaked Strawhat against Marine Defense:
Strawhat Luffy, extremely violent rookie pirate that lately has been overusing leniency of Marines in East Blue is reported to be the one to destroy, in an unprecedented and unprovoked attack, Base of the 16th Branch of East Blue Marines.
In the brutal attack 100 Marines, of different Seamen rank, lost their lives in the brutal attack, with addition of three officers stationed at the branch. From official Marine communications, no survivors of the attack have been found. All information about the attack known, have been learned thanks to Monitoring Den-Den Mushi employed to all Marine bases in the Blues in the last security upgrade. As of right now there are no official information about reason of attack, thought your dearest journalists have heard some rumors about Marine Captain Nezu (in charge of 16th Branch) being corrupt, so one could theorize a doublecross of some kind to be one of the, if not the reason of the monstrous action.
For all that Strawhat Luffy just got issued her first official bounty, there are voices connecting her to the series of assaults and robberies in the Goa Kingdom, of which there was an uptick right after the fire that destroyed part of the settlement outside of the City Walls. The fire, we'd like to remind our readers, is currently attributed to the Firefist Ace. Is it a coincidence that two of the most dangerous East Blue pirates hail from one Island? We do not believe so.
So far we have managed to definitely confirm a few other victims of Strawhat Luffy's bloodlust. Currently discharged from command of 153th branch of East Blue Marines Captain Morgan and marines from that branch met her over a month ago, that 'meeting' ended with two dozen injuries and Commander Reapers field promotion in place of his commanding officer. Recently escaped from marine hold Unkillable Buggy the Clown was reportedly brought in as a bounty by her and Pirate Hunter Zoro to the office in Dras Leona. Legendary by now,` Kuro of Thousand Plans, who somehow managed to evade his lawful execution, in spite of reports from Captain Morgan of East Blue Marines, was reportedly defeated by her at Gecko Island when unnamed yet Strawhat Pirates collided with the Black Cat crew, as a result of that the ex-captain seems to join the Strawhat crew. We've also managed to confirm that Don Krieg, named by some 'ruler of the East Blue's pirates' met his defeat at her hands at East Blue's famous, floating restaurant called the Baratie.
We are still looking to confirm more victims of her bloodlust.
Anyone meeting Strawhat Pirates should be extremely cautious, as the entire crew is made out of extremely dangerous and bloodthirsty pirates. Should you dear readers ever meet the crew - do what they want, give them what they ask for and contact Marines for them to deal with the criminals.
Confirmed Strawhat crew includes previously mentioned in the article cold blooded Kuro of Thousand Plans himself and one of Don Krieg's officers, the Demon Gin (previous bounty of 8 000 000 Beli). In the recent attack we also confirmed that, feared by many, Saw-Tooth Arlong disbanded his own pirate crew and joined the crew under her rule. Her own first mate - Pirate Hunter Roronoa Zoro, previously acting as a bounty hunter, is incredibly dangerous and is widely recognised as the most dangerous swordsman of East Blue.
Some say that Strawhat herself crossed blades with Royal Shichibukai Hawk-eyes Dracule Mihawk and survived. We in the redaction have no doubt that this rookie pirate is extremely dangerous and should be avoided by everyone and left Marines to deal with.
Our contacts in the Marine organization warn us that Strawhat's crew is undoubtedly making their way to The Grand Line so dear reader, if you live in the Blues, you can sleep safely, but those close to the start of the Grand Line should be cautious.
Remember - do not provoke Strawhat's crew. If you ever spot them, do what you're told, get away from them and contact the Marines.

Foosha Village
Mayor Wood Slap was, despite his age, nothing but not a curious person, so when one day found most of the villagers in Party Bar cheering and partying he found himself gravitating towards the bar to check what was happening.
"What's the occasion Makino?"
"You don't know, Mayor? Luffy got her first bounty poster!"
"That girl… I even gave her that law book." He grouched trying to stop the blooming smile "What did she do?"
"Defeated a bunch of pirates, beat up a corrupt marine officer and destroyed a marine base. The paper says it was 'brutal and unprecedented' but it's Luffy"
"Which branch?"
"153rd, why?"
"I'm a Government official after all… I hear others talk. Did the paper say who was their captain?"
"Hmm… Yes, I think they did, let me check it?" Mayor waved her to go for it "It was Captain Nezumi." Woodslap stiffened at that "Mayor? Do you know him?"
"I know of him, girl. And if it's him then I think I know why Luffy went on her little rampage. And I know more than few other officials who will be incredibly happy to read today's edition"
"That bad?"
"Probably worse. How much did they consider that little rascal worth?"
"50 million."
"Holy…"
"I know, right?"
"I hope she's ready for those that's going to come"
"What do you mean Mayor?"
"Bounty hunters, marines, other pirates… All who'd consider themselves better than her because she's not known. Or because of her gender… They'll try to hunt her down..."
"...And meet cranky and easily irritable Luffy."
"I almost hope those good for nothing pirates will try to wake her up"
"That's cruel Mayor"
"Is it?"
"Well… Maybe they will deserve whatever she'll do to them"
"It's almost funny how similar to that Shishou of her, she became in that instance" Makino giggled along to the Mayor's chuckles at that. They did remember the state of a Bear Lord who dared to disturb Shichibukai's nap.

"Sengoku! What's the meaning of this?" Garp burst into Fleet Admiral's office through the wall waving a bounty poster. He was grinding his teeth and visibly seething
"Dangerous criminals get bounties. Criminals with bounties get bounty posters" Grand Admiral of Marines answered barely looking up from the papers he was going through.
"How is my granddaughter a dangerous criminal?!"
"Did you even read the paper?"
"She wanted to be a civilian! She can't fight!"
"She took down several 'big fishes' from East Blue and then she and her crew went and massacred entire marine base"
"She can't fight Senny! She didn't even like to train with boys and did everything she could to get out of exercises with minimum effort!"
"Yes, about those exercises… If she wanted to be a civilian as you say, why did you train her?"
"Do you really want weak pirates to be able to hold my granddaughter's life over my head?"
"Hmm… Are you sure she intended to become a civilian?"
"Of course she wanted to become a civilian! She hates violence!"
"Take a look at it then" Sengoku put on display recording from the attack on 16th marine base. The longer Garp watched it, the more grave his expression got "What are her skills?"
"Did she say the truth? Did he really do all that?"
"Captain Smoker from Loguetown reported the suspicious arrival of a stack of papers titled 'nefarious doings of your captains' on his desk. it's getting transferred to HQ now. After ordering him to audit it, he confirmed it looks legit. We're interviewing officials and civilians under 16th branch jurisdiction, now. What are her skills, Garp?"
"I told you everything I knew, Senny. She's fox zoan, knows about sea stone, is pretty good with daggers and generally clever enough to get out of training with minimal effort"
"So she hid her skills from you. For gods only know how long"
"She wouldn't! She loves her grandfather!"
"But doesn't trust. Does she know about your son?"
"No."
"To your knowledge… So probably yes. She's clever, strong and dangerous. Just like her father"
"She's nothing like Dragon!"
"And how would you know that?"
"Don't you dare blame it on me! You kept me in the New World for all those years!"
"You spent enough time in East Blue to meet with her though. And yet you didn't report the Hat"
"It's the first time I see this hat on her head!"
"So we don't know how long she was training to become the next king. We don't know how strong she really is. We don't know what her sense of justice is. We don't know anything about her, other than the fact that she's Dragon's daughter"
"A daughter! She's not a danger to Government"
"The fact that she's a girl doesn't mean she's any less dangerous. How many times did Tsuru wipe the floor with you?"
"That's…"
"Enough. Your granddaughter is a criminal Garp. The moment she's caught she'll be shipped off to Impel Down or on an execution platform. Gorosei will want to get rid of 'bad blood' and you know it. It's bad enough that Roger's son is still alive."
"He was innocent as a child!"
"He's not innocent now. And neither is your girl."

Dragon
His office was quiet as always, with just small sounds of ticking clock and shuffling of paper. Well, just ticking off a clock right now, as he was still frozen over a big photo of Luffy…
His daughter Luffy standing tall with a long sword (was that a claymore? How was she swinging this thing?) Propped on her shoulder, with blood dripping off of it and yet… His little girl was clean, with no blood on her and no hair out of place. If not for the bounty, he'd say that it wasn't her doing and that she was being framed for the massacre… the bounty and that smile. Cheeky, challenging smile.
She was beautiful.
So similar to her mother in her fury, with his own grim determination and readiness to accept her deeds.
He had his worries when he gave her to Garp to raise. That he'd succeed in brainwashing her to join marines and oppose him... That he'd raise her weak so marines would be able to easily threaten her life… That he'd keep her civilian so making her compliant won't be hard…
But it seemed the old man actually put his family over his precious organization.
For once in his life.
That was good.
His daughter was strong, determined and with a strong sense of good and evil as the reports he cross-checked the article with reports from his own web of contact. It seemed like it was time to pay her a visit and ask about joining their cause. Maybe better not introduce himself properly though… If Luffy's got her mother's temper then it'd be a really bad idea.

Mihawk
Mihawk paid News Coo for paper, opened it and smirked proudly. His little student got a pretty decent starting bounty. Especially for the East Blue. Not one to represent her, honed by him, strength of course, but 50 million from Weakest of the Blues should tell everyone that she's a big deal.
Though of course there will be idiots that will try to go against the little fox... And wasn't the zoan devil fruit a surprise? Especially the effort it took him to coerce her to show her form (though somehow he still had a niggling feeling she hid something about that fruit from him. She gave up definitely too quickly for someone that secretive).
Poor idiots…
And there he thought Shanks was an idiot for nominating her once.
She was almost everything he wanted from the student. Well if she'd actually want to succeed him then she'd be everything he wanted from one… But even without it.
Her determination, the way she soaked the knowledge and his teachings in, the way she lied without lies to protect herself, the way she respected power, even if she didn't respect the person who wielded that power.
The way she declared her Will after being pressed to it, looking at him with determination.
Challenging him to stop her.
The way her eyes lit up when he just increased her workload to accommodate for her goal.
She'll do it.
And he'll be right there watching history happening.

Red Force
Benn paid for News Coo and took a look at titles not expecting seeing anything interesting but one look at that title, 'Strawhat Luffy's unprovoked attack on marine base' brought him to a halt. He carefully got to the mess hall and sat down reading an article. Then he extracted bounty posters from the paper and smiled like a cat that got canary. Their little fox got her first bounty. And the captain doesn't know it yet.
As luck had it… that was exactly when Shanks finally stumbled to get some breakfast and noticed Benny's unusual smile.
"What's it Benny? Something interesting in the paper?"
"Just news of destroyed marine base in East and Strawhat Luffy's first bounty"
"Oh, cool…" scatterbrained redhead Benn called his captain, raised his coffee mug up and got a mouthful… And then it registered. He spluttered, spitting the hot drink on the table "WHAT?! Luffy's got a bounty?!"
"50 million beli"
"In East Blue…"
"Pretty good if I say so myself"
"MEN! LUFFY'S GOT A BOUNTY! LET'S CELEBRATE!"
"Luffy's got a bounty? Our little Luffy?" Yasopp asked in surprised delight. And then made a high pitched noise, he insisted was not squeal at the sight of a sash on her hips. Not yellow, no… and yet it was an obvious bow to the Redhair Pirates. Especially with the way her skull on Roger was in their own shape.
It was absolutely adorable.
"How much Luffy-chin is worth?" Lucky stopped munching on his breakfast in wait for an answer.
"50 millions" Shanks announced proudly, as if they were the ones taking on the most of her education.
"Without letting out the knowledge about her Fruit or any… additional lessons I'm sure she managed to acquire in the years." Benn was compelled to add to it. There was no way that little sneak didn't manage to squirrel additional skills. Not with the way Mihawk was thawing over the years.
"Little anchor was always masterfully manipulative" Shanks murmured wincing slightly, undoubtedly thinking about that bandit incident and the way she tore into them for not clearing the island immediately.
"And she's coming to us!" Yasopp whooped happily, he always liked thatlittle rascal.
"Can't wait for her!"
"Why do you even care for a rookie from East Blue? It's not like she'd even get to New World" Rockstar dismissed hauntingly, Benn and the rest of the old crew turned to their rookie. Poor guy would need to soon learn that just because Yonko's crew picked him up, it didn't mean he was better than those from less known crews… if nothing else Benn could trust that should they meet before their rookie learned that lesson, Luffy would beat it into him… with prejudice.
"Isn't her starting bounty close to yours?" Yasopp teased the rookie good-natured.
"Of course it's inflated. She's in no way even close to my strength" Rockstar scoffed again and everyone who was with the crew in Fuusha smiled with pity. Poor guy.
"Dahahaha… I'll make sure to tell her that when she visits" Shanks teased with a grin.
"Now, that's just cruel captain" Just because Benn said that, it didn't mean that he wouldn't set Little Luffy at their crew by himself.
"Do you want Luffy to actually kill him?" Yasopp asked with faux interest
"Like a woman would even be able to" Rockstar scoffed again and… yeah, they would need to beat that attitude right out of him. Maybe the Ice Witch would help them?
"Seriously, don't tell her that - it's the easiest way to land in the ocean." Benn warned seriously. It was a swim in the water when she was seven… what would she do to them as a full fledged Pirate?
"She pushed captain in when he said something similar" their Doc laughed merrily
"Luffy-chin has a bit of a temper"
"A bit…" crew from that time sweatdropped while remembering how seven years old screamed her lungs out at them for treating her as a young lady and not the future King.

Moby Dick
Marco was doing his daily flight when he noticed News Coo getting closer to Moby and so he swooped down to transform properly and prepared money for it. For whatever reason gulls were normally scared of his phoenix form (he won't eat them damnit!) so he was always cutting his flights short whenever he spotted one of them coming closer.
After paying for their order of news' he grabbed one and got to the mess hall to read there with his coffee (unknowingly doing the same routine as other first mates of a Yonko ship). After grabbing the coffee and sitting at the half full but still quiet commander's table he made first, cursory glance at the titles and froze for a while… Just to have to fight down a wide grin. Little Luffy 'caused so much trouble without even getting into the Grand Line.
"Thatch, yoi!" he waved barely awake Thatch over, finally settling his muscles into lazy smile
"What?" That looked as if suspicion was fighting with his need for coffe and yet he came and looked at the other in pure curiosity. It was not often that Marco was calling onto him in the morning. Especially when looking so relaxed and not ready to chew him out for a prank or missed report.
"Read, yoi" Now they had attention of every commander already sitting at the table - Jozu, Izou, Rakuyo, Fossa, Jiru, co-commander of second division - Sabo and Oyaji himself
"Her first marine base!" Thatch almost squealed and grinned widely "Our little fox finally became a proper pirate! Next time we'll hear about her fighting with Shichibukai or something like that!"
"Since when she's 'our little fox', yoi?"
"Fine, your little fox, dear brother of mine"
"Thatch…" Marco sighed deeply and visibly decided not to throttle his brother. "Read again, yoi. She fought with Hawk-eyes already."
"And we both know that it was at most spar to make sure she didn't forget her stances and not real fight." commander of fourth division chuckled freely, he did remember almost getting nailed by the little spitfire "You think he finally gave her a proper sword? Or did she fight him with that wooden one?"
"She has one on her poster, so I guess he did give her one, yoi."
"Poster? Gimme!" somehow available Strawhats posters found their way into Thatch's hands
"What are the two of you talking about?" Izou curiously asked
"Remember, four years ago, our visit to East Blue?"
"To find the brat that got Roger's hat?" Whitebeard rumbled from where he was doing the same thing other people at the commander's table did - listening in to their conversation
"Yeah, Luffy just got her first bounty, yoi"
"Gurarara... How much?"
"50 million, yoi"
"Gurararara cheeky brat."
"It's the highest starting bounty to be issued in East Blue in the last 50 years, pops" Thatch boasted freely
"Luffy? My little sister, Luffy?" Sabo asked blearily, visibly hoping to be wrong.
"I don't know. Does she look like your weak little sister?" Thatch turned around the paper in his hand to show Sabo Luffy's poster. Shot was visibly made in the base incident as around her feet there were marine bodies. She had big claymore (seriously, almost as long as she was) propped up on her shoulders, cheeky smirk and 'come and get me' gesture
"Those are other people she recruited. Didn't Jinbe say that Arlong hated humans, yoi?" Marco showed rest of Strawhats posters to Whitebeard and other commanders
"Yeah, he said something like that. How the hell did she recruit him?" Fossa murmured, surprised… even if he didn't really care about the rookie until she at least got to the halfpoint of Paradise… it was an excellent morning drama.
"She's good, bro… real good. Little brat made us teach her how to pick locks in the first 10 minutes after actually seeing her." Thatch reminded his siblings.
"Permission to go meet them when they get closer to the New World, pops?" Marco grinned at his captain… what could he say? He missed the little bratling.
"Gurarara… granted my son"
"You just want to give her that promised ride away from Moby" Thatch pouted with a barely hidden grin
"Guilty" Marco smirked and him and took another sip from that heavenly drink called coffee
"Ride?" Rakuyo and Izou chorused, while Jozu, Fossa and Jiru all rose their brows
"Little brat manipulated him into promising her another flight" Thatch gleefully announced to his family.
"Gurarara… another?"
Thatch had to visibly bite whatever he was trying to say… Marco's glare definitely helped in that.
"I'm gonna put it on my wall" Thatch raised the poster and smiled innocently.
"Stalker, yoi"
"You wanna explain to her why you're not watching her progress? You remember those puppy eyes? And pout? And those ears? And tail?"
"Give me that, yoi"
"Nope. Get your own"
"Thatch!"
"Whazzup? Why so loud?" Ace finally meandered to other commanders, with a mountain of food on his tray.
"Luffy got her first bounty" Sabo announced, now all excited about the choice of his should be sister.
"Oh? Did she break 5 millions?" Ace smiled widely and started to shovel food
"Yeah…" Sabo answered with evil smile, which Ace ignored completely
"So our weak little Luffy's not that terribly weak now, huh?" Ace grinned gleefully and ignored even more gleeful grins of the rest of the table.
"She's worth 50 million." Sabo finished like Ace didn't butt in and enjoyed watching him choke on food.
"FIFTY?" Ace wheezed at that "What the hell did she do? Slapped Shitty Gramps in public?"
"Little Lu beat up marine captain, three of the so called big names in East Blue, recruited three seasoned pirates, with two of them being captains before and the third being first mate and destroyed a marine base. Coincidentally… Isn't it higher than your own first bounty? Put together?" Thatch started gloating "Look, isn't she the cutest Izou?" He almost pushed her poster into the crossdresser face "She was even cuter as a child."
"I'm sure she'll let you do her braids again, don't worry yoi." Marco snatched Luffy's poster from Thatch "On the wall Pops?" He referenced the wall in one of so called 'relax lounges' where every current poster of Whitebeard Pirates, allies and extended family was pinned
"She's so young. Do you know why did she even set sail?" Whitebeard asked worriedly rather than answering.
"She's going to be The King, yoi"
"Like a woman even could become one" Ace snorted derisively seemingly forgetting Whitey's reaction to his words.
"You think she can do it?" Izou, looking at Ace with distaste
"She will do it" Thatch announced with no hesitation. Little Lu was relentless even as a little girl. Now as a Pirate with her own crew? "You'll understand when you'll meet her."
"She's willful enough, yoi"
"She even has a crown already… Gurarara… Pin it up son"
"Gotcha. Thatch, stop sulking, we've got a big batch of papers on the deck, get your own poster from there, yoi."
"Oi! I want one too!" Sabo jumped at the heels of the fourth division commander.

"Good. The girl has his hat". Crocus shows Laboon Luffy's bounty poster. "And she's a D to boot. Interesting times are coming." He lit the pipe and read articles about her and her crew again. "Interesting indeed."

"Isn't that one familiar hat?" In the bar on Sabaody Shakky leaned onto her bar and showed the paper to her companion.
"So it is… 50 millions from East Blue currently? Shanks' little nominee is making waves already" Old Pirate agreed thoughtfully. Ray was the most qualified person to decide at a glance if someone was worthy to even try to take his old captain's crown.
"And she has a Yonko supporting her. That's more than the rest of the candidates can say. Two Yonko if the rumors few years back were accurate"
"Rumours?"
"Whitebeard send two of his commanders to meet her, rumors says not only did they found her but were also pretty impressed"
"Enough to accept a woman?"
"Mhmm…"
"Charlotte won't like it"
"No… Not after being denied the title herself. Kaidou won't support her either"
"Either she'll beat one of them into submission or she'll replace a Yonko or two"
"Or three… There is no saying that Whitebead will actually support her."
"If his commanders were seriously that impressed, he will. Who was sent to her?"
"First and Fourth"
"If Phoenix and Wind Blade both were impressed she shouldn't need to worry about Whitebeard"
"First female to be considered a King ever… Will you take a look at her?"
"How could I not?" he smiled roguishly at his wife.
There was a new storm brewing around the world.
This year's batch of rookies was definitely showing that. Death Surgeon Trafalgar Law, Captain Eustass Kid, Jewelry Bonnet, Scratchmen Apoo, Basil Hawkins, Capone Bege, that ex-marine X-Drake…
He hoped they would be good enough to entertain this old pirate.
