Yawning as I opened my eyes, I looked down and felt a hand intertwined with mine, it felt familiar. "Yusuke?"

"Hey," He says softly.

"Yusuke!" I repeat, jumping onto him, "I'm so glad you're safe!"

Yusuke chuckles, "of course I'm ok, it's going to take more than some monsters to take me out!"

"I love how confident you are," I smile, pecking him on the cheek.

"And I love you," Yusuke whispers in my ear.

"I-what?" I mutter, looking up at him.

"You heard me," Yusuke says, a smile forming on his face.

"What's that smell? Is that food?"

The smile disappears off of Yusuke's face, "uh yeah, Kurama made food for everyone, are you hungry? I know I'm starving."

"Yeah, let's go eat," I say, standing up. Yusuke nods and takes my hand, leading me out of Hiei's guest room and into his kitchen where Botan, Kurama, and a girl with green hair which I'm assuming is the girl they went to save.

"Oh good, yall are here," Kurama says, making two plates and setting them on the table, "only two more to go," he sighs, glancing at Hiei and then a closed door.

"Is Y/N in there?" I ask, nodding to the

"Yeah, she feels that Hiei being unconscious is her fault, and then her powers started to go haywire, so she shut herself in Hiei's room."

"I should go talk to her, see if I can calm her down," I say, standing up.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you. She put an electrical force field up around the room, she doesn't want anyone going in right now."

"Y/N," I try, walking over to the door.

"Go away!"

"Fine, just please make sure you eat." I sigh, walking away, sitting back down beside Yusuke. "Isn't Hiei going to kill us once he wakes up?"

"Nah, he actually cares about us, he just doesn't want to show it," Kurama says, washing some of the dishes in the sink.

I look over at Yusuke and smile at him, using my free hand to hold his. Yusuke smiles a small smile, but doesn't look over at me. I frown but I have a feeling it's because of earlier. When he told me he loved me, I wanted to respond with those same three words but...it scared me. Yusuke has one of the most dangerous jobs and we're still just in school. If I was to say those three words and he got hurt...or worse, I couldn't do anything about it, I'd be left alone. I don't know if I can bring myself to say those three words to him...not yet at least, I just need a little bit of time...which is something that is very limited when it comes to Yusuke's job...

I just sigh and squeeze his hand tighter as I begin to eat, glad Yusuke was back.
