Naruto pov: Third person
Naruto groaned as he realized where he was. Inside the belly of a snake. The same snake that took him away from Sasuke, "How do I get out of here? Its slimy and gross in here," Naruto had a few Ideas like asking the Kyuubi for some chakra, a giant wind jutsu or, "Mass wind clone jutsu!" Naruto shouted and nothing happened. There was no wind to be used, "Damn I thought it'd work," Naruto then went to plan B. The fox.
You see he had been talking with the Kyuubi for a bit now. Ever since Jiraya pushed him off of a cliff he has had contact with the Bijuu. It hated him and he hated it but they made a deal that benefitted them both. 'Help me live and you'll live too' The fox wasn't too sure that if Naruto died it'd survive. The Kyuubi was only half of what it once was.
The Kyuubi stirred from within Naruto's mind, "What is it this time brat?" The fox asked before Naruto revealed what he saw to the Kyuubi, "Snakes..." That was the sound of disappointment. Naruto didn't care as he felt a rush of power flow through him. It was tainted power but it was power(That he didn't like) Nonetheless.
He'd get some chakra in exchange they'd both survive until Naruto could unseal the other half of the Kyuubi somehow. This also allowed Naruto to stay somewhat in control for the lower two tails of chakra.
Soon Naruto burst through the stomach of the snake covered in the chakra of the Kyuubi. Not exactly one tail but not zero. More like half of a tail, "Thanks Kyuubi!" He was grateful the fox didn't just spite him and allowed them both to die. Now he had to make his way back to Sakura and Sasuke. He thought they were north.
The fox didn't respond and just went back to sleep. Naruto then began to tree hop his way back to Naruto and Sasuke. He damn well knew that whoever sent the snake after him was bad news. The snake reeked of evil. The snakes owner or... summoner... Was probably really strong if they summoned a snake like that Naruto knew someone summoned snakes but who? They learned in the Academy but he never paid attention. Damn past Naruto screwing him over now.
Soon Naruto had been searching for minutes.
"Damnit. Why did that snake have to go for me?" Naruto asked the world. He was starting to get pissed off now. His eyes became red and slitted once more and his nails grew longer and more sharp. Same with his teeth. He soon calmed himself down though, feeling the tainted energy of the fox, "Calm down Naruto. What would Kukui do in this scenario?" Naruto hadn't forgotten the betrayal of his first friend to telling him who his parents were. He hadn't even gotten over it fully yet. But he understood why. He couldn't hate him for that. He couldn't hate Kakashi either.
He was still pissed off at Jiraya and the Sandaime though. Naruto then had an idea and went through some hand seals. He then bit his thumb, "Summoning jutsu!" He exclaimed and a large toad(Not nearly as big as Gamabunta though) popped out of the smoke.
The toad looked at Naruto curiously before looking at him in recognition, "Ah Naruto! Its been a bit. What do you need me for this time?" The toad was named Gamakumo. One of Naruto's favorite summons. Gamakumo was a recon toad.
Naruto grinned, "I don't have much time. There was this guy who summoned a snake and it separated me and my teammates. Can you find them for me? This guy seems strong too so be careful,"
Gamakumo's face lightened up in horror for a second before realizing he had a plan, "Sure I'll be back in 20 minutes tops," Its plan was simple. Go get the Hokage. He knew there were only 2 snake summoners and one wouldn't attack genin with the snakes...
Naruto smiled, "Thanks Gamakumo," The toad then disappeared in an unknown direction. Now Naruto wasn't going to just sit around and do nothing at all. No, no, no. He still wanted to help. He went through hand signs once more, "MASS WIND CLONE JUTSU!" He shouted and Hundreds of Wind clones materialized. They all spread out in search as well. Naruto would just stay here and work on something else. A seal.
It was the seal of his father's most infamous jutsu. The flying raijin. He barely had the time and if he could somehow figure it out before his clones came back then that would be fucking great.
Soon enough though one of his clones came back, "North! Quick boss. We don't have much time... He's terrifying," The clone then disappeared. Naruto nodded.
He could feel some of the foxes chakra flow through him. He let it this time. If his clone was right then he'd need it. He could tell the fox knew that as well. It was almost time for battle. Naruto began running throughout the forest with speed he had only seen demonstrated by his sensei. He had a feeling something was going to be going wrong soon.
Soon he arrived and he saw Sasuke trying to fight off a man that looked a lot like a snake, He knew what he needed to do right then and there. Soon enough Sasuke was on the ground protecting Sakura though. A ball of chakra began forming in Naruto's hand. He channeled the Kyuubi's chakra into it. Soon enough it was ready and he began running at the man.
"RASENGAN!"
Kukui's pov
"Wind style: Great breakthrough!" Tenten shouted as lightning rained down upon us. This was fucking bad. I couldn't even summon help. The lightning was thankfully stopped.
I gripped my sword with my good hand and channeled lightning through it, "We need to get out of here!" I was breathing heavily and I was terrified. I was the only one who's taijutsu capabilities wasn't hindered at all and we were fighting five people.
Mika spat out a fireball at a Kumo genin Omoi I believe who just cut it in half. I didn't care at this point, "I know. Don't you have anything that can help at all? Your like the only healthy one here," I wish I could use more jutsu. I'd use earth clones just so we could get away. Possibly a nice lightning jutsu. Ah fuck it I had an idea now actually.
I nodded, "Give me your hand for a second," I said and Mika simply complied. I used it to go through some hand seals without struggle which amazed the Kumo genin, "FIRE STYLE: GREAT FIRE ANNIHILATION!" I shouted and spat out a literal sea of flames at the Kumo genin. They all quickly dodged as best they could but they were all slightly burned.
Tenten grinned, "Oh you cheeky bastard. Hand seals with other peoples hands. I never would have thought of it. Come on lets go," We had time to get away now. We intended to take it. I picked up Mika quickly. She'd be to slow on her own. Sprinting would make up the difference,
Just because I saw the logic in my idea, it didn't mean Mika wouldn't protest, "HEY! stop carrying me!" if anything would ever be the death of us it would be her pride. Eh we will cross that road when we come to it. Hopefully that wouldn't be for many decades. I didn't drop her. I just kept running. The Kumo genin were already behind us.
I shook my head. We could argue later, "Your leg will be the death of you at the moment. I don't want you to die so I'm carrying you. Now shut up and we can argue about it later," If there was a later. Danger sense activated and I kawarimied with a log with Mika. 3 chukoto pierced the log and it wouldn't have been pretty if it was me and Mika there. Tenten quickly kawarimied to us as well and two Kunai entered her log.
Karui snarled, "You won't be alive later!" I could tell she was pissed in particular.
I grabbed Mika's hand and went through some hand seals with it, "Earth clone jutsu," I spat out an earth clone and it carried Mika who didn't protest this time, "Eh we'll live until later. Can't say the same about you," I unsealed an earth clone from a storage scroll. I could have used it to carry Mika instead but this one was an emergency. I grabbed its hand and we went through hand seals, "lightning style: Electromagnetic Murder!" A blast of lightning went toward the Kumo genin that they quickly dodged.
This gave time to look through my screens.

I still had plenty of chakra thankfully. I'd run out soon if I used too many wide-scale jutsu. Eh if I needed to than I'd do it. I saw tenten was ready to back me up with wind jutsu if need be. Good, "Now lets dance,"
I ran towards one of the genin and kicked them in the face, grabbing the collar of their shirt and throwing them toward another genin. I then rushed to another genin with my katana out, ready to slice.
*Clang!* Out blades collided and sent sparks flying. It was going to be an uphill battle for sure. I looked to my side and saw Tenten fighting another genin whilst the third helped the other two up. I could tell we were in for an uphill battle. I could sense my earth clone was hiding with Mika so that was good.
Soon enough I jumped over to Tenten, "Who should we go for first?" I had a feeling we should go for Omoi then Karui. The others would fall without them.
Tenten blocked a downward slash from one of them. Omoi, "This one right here,"
I nodded, "I was thinking the same. We need more time to form a plan, Do a wind jutsu," Tenten nodded and went through some hand seals, Likely thinking what I was.
I grabbed my still alive earth clone's hand too, "COMBONATION ATTACK: INFERNO WIND!" We shouted as I spat out a sea of flame and she spat out a gust of wind.
Flame engulfed the area and the Kumo genin backed away.
Good we had some time.
Sasuke's POV: Third person.
Sasuke hated a lot of things. He hated his brother for killing their family. He hated his fangirls for annoying him so much. He hated being weak. But none of those hates compared to the amount of hatred, fear, and pain he was feeling right now. Hate because he hated how he was losing to this man. Hate because he hated what he did to Sakura to make her go nearly catatonic. Fear because he was afraid of what he would do to them both. Fear because of what he already did to Sakura. Pain because of the amount of pain he was in right now from fighting the man. He hit Harder than Kukui and faster than Kakashi.
He was fighting a losing battle at the moment nd they both knew it.
Soon enough he was on the ground. Guarding Sakura with his own body in defeat. He was starting to feel hopeless too, "Just leave. You have no point in killing us... just leave..." Sasuke's voice accurately conveyed the fear he felt in that moment.
The man made a motion that looked like he was thinking for a second, "Hmm I could simply leave you alone. But where's the enjoyment in that? I'll enjoy tearing you apart piece by piece Sasuke-kun," the man's voice alone would make anyone feel fear. but the way he said it. Thats what terrified Sasuke.
Sasuke backed him and Sakura up some more, "Leave her alone then. Kill me but leave her alive," If Sakura lived at least, he'd count it as a win. He didn't know where Naruto was but he damn well hoped he was alive.
The man began twirling the Kunai again, "No. I don't think I will," He began walking over to him slowly.
Sasuke thought... no he knew this was going to be their end. He closed his eyes, not wanting to watch the inevitable. That didn't happen though. He heard a voice that sounded like an angels to him at the moment although it sounded more demonic, "RASENGAN!" He cracked open his eyes and saw Naruto slam a sphere of chakra into the man's back. The chakra was tainted. Evil. Like in that mission. It didn't matter to Sasuke though. He couldn't care less at the moment.
The snake like man cringed in pain, "How are you alive?!" He backed away quickly to safety as Naruto stood in front of Sasuke and Sakura protectively. He sprouted two chakra tails. He was ultimately in control now thankfully.
Naruto smirked, "Your dumb ass snake couldn't kill me you creep. Now get the hell out of here before I make you," Sasuke knew that as powerful as Naruto was in this state. He. Could. Not. Take. On. This. Man. He'd die.
The snake like man smirked, "Oh how things just got far more entertaining. I think I will stick around for a bit longer just to see how things turn out," the man said before going through hand seals at a blazing speed. Soon he bit his thumb and smirked, "Lets see how you take care of this one, brat. Summoning jutsu," A snake twice the size of the last one came rushing at Team seven.
Sasuke stood up, "Naruto... get Sakura out of here," Sasuke intended to hold off the snake man until they were safe. He didn't want any more of his precious people to die, "I'll hold him off,"
Naruto shook his head as he formed another chakra sphere, "No! I won't leave you behind Sasuke. You take Sakura and leave or I'll throw your asses out of this forest myself," The chakra sphere collided with the snake, making a Nice crater in its head. It sent the beast back to its summoning realm.
The snake man clapped slowly, "Bravo. I didn't think you could beat it even like that. But I'm afraid I can't let you or my precious Sasuke-kun escape. I have some unfinished business with him," The man then began to go through more hand seals.
Naruto didn't like this one bit. He went through some hand seals of his own, "WIND STYLE: GREAT BREAKTHROUGH!" Naruto spat out a giant blast of wind that unrooted trees as it was sent towards the man. The snake like man was viably shocked at the blast as he was sent back through the forest.
Soon he came back, "It looks like I underestimated you brat. I won't make the same mistake twice,"
Naruto snarled, "You better not. Your gonna remember the name Naruto Uzumaki for the rest of your life Dattebayo!"
Naruto began running toward the snake man.
Said man just laughed, "Your a cocky one aren't you?" His question went unanswered as he dodged a punch, "Oh well I'll just have to teach you some manners,"
The Hokage's office
Hiruzen had been having a nice day. The worlds best spy had been captured thanks to a tip and they were getting information out of him as he was doing paperwork. He thankfully didn't have much. Danzo wasn't even bothering him! Things were going well. Until a toad popped into his office.
He had told him Orochimaru was in the forest of death.
Hiruzen's day was officially ruined then and there. His old student had to cause problems at the absolute worst possible time, "ANBU! Get me every last one of you that's available and Kakashi. We're going to the forest of death," His anbu guard nodded and soon enough roughly 20 anbu and Kakashi came into the room. All standing straight as steel.
Kakashi even showed up on time, "Why were we called here Sandaime-sama?" Kakashi's voice was one filled with worry.
Hiruzen stood up, now in his battle armor, "Orochimaru is in the forest of death. Targeting team seven," Hiruzen's words made Kakashi have a glint of worry in his eye. He just simply nodded, "Do not let my student get away no matter what. And we cannot let this information leak. Am. I. Being. Clear?"
"Yes Sandaime-sama!" Everyone in the room exclaimed at once. Except for the man himself of course.
Soon all of the Anbu(Including the unretired for a few hours Kakashi) were out exploring the forest of death with the sandaime.

Well this one is a short one. I intended for the last part to be a shit ton longer but I couldn't force myself to make it longer. So next chapter we will have two fights. Orochimaru vs Naruto(Who may or may not go 4 tails mode. I do not know yet) And Kukui and Tenten vs 5 kumo genin.
I'm more excited for fight one than two honestly because I finally get to write Naruto fighting and Orochimaru fighting. Its just a great coincidence they're fighting each other.
Anyways We're coming up on 170k words! And 50 chapters! Honestly I'm shocked I've... No We(Without all you wonderful people supporting me it wouldn't have been possible) made it this far. I thank each and every one of you for reading and encouraging me to keep going. Even the bad reviews fuel the fire's of passion I have for writing this fic.
Anyways enough of the gushy happy stuff. Time for the question of the chapter!
