Ohh, pain… Ugh, everything's in pain…", I groaned to myself, as I arose from the ground. It was just last night, that I was pulled into this… world. It was so bizarre, like it shouldn't be possible even in dreams. This world is full cartoon, and yet the ground is still hard as shit…"

Now, it was broad daylight outside. Around… 9am maybe? I had my orange-blue watch on my wrist but I highly doubted, that it was really 4am/pm. Still, the best wake-up-time I've had in a looong time, not gonna lie. And before you ask: Yes, when I awoke in the middle of the night, in what I assumed to be an animated universe in every sense of the word, I literally just looked for a good sleeping spot, and left those problems to tomorrow-me. I kinda tend to do that. Just go to sleep, and leave it to the future.

Problem with that is, just a bit later, the future will be the now, and now I will have to deal with this AGAIN!

"Alright, get your act together…", I scolded myself, trying to sort my thoughts, "What's the last thing I remember?"

I thought back, almost hurting my head trying to make sense of it all. "I was watching Miraculous again. It was really late once more. Around 2 am, I think. Then… my screen started… glitching or something… and then… nothing. I don't remember anything else…"

As I looked around, I could see the Eiffel tower down the street. That much was sure, I was in Paris. And, based on the way EVERYTHING looked, sounded and WORKED here, an animated one at that. And, just to add salt to the wound, it was more than likely the Paris of Miraculous. How do I know? Well, a couple of things, actually:

The first one being, that I knew this style of animation. Everything looked bright and beautiful, really pleasant to look at.
Second: The music. I don't know why, but the BGM (backgroundmusic) was in its own way canon. I could really hear it, even though I was sure the rest of the characters (or, at this point, people, I guess) couldn't. And the nice thing about that was, that in this show it was VERY characteristic. I could hear it anywhere and immediately know "Oh yeah, that's from Miraculous!"
Third: I literally saw the heroes of the show, Ladybug and Chat Noir, battle an akuma just last night! Don't know anymore which one though…

"How could this happen to me…?", I was thinking to myself, as I was strolling around the animated city. Now I got to a small park. A cute little fountain in the middle, a carousel around, and a few fancy trees here and there. Really inviting, honestly. I could come around here more often, just to think my thoughts and stuff.

But guess into who I JUST SO happened to run into?! Mr. Sunshine him very self! Adrien Agreste in one of his uncountable photoshoots! "Wait a minute…"
And guess who JUST SO HAPPENS to come across the yard as well?! Mrs. Hyper-Talented in all her awkwardness! Marinette Doupain-Cheng at another attempt to make Mr. Sunshine notice her! "Hang on a moment…"

And of course, escorting her all the way, the ultimate winggirl! Journalist extraordinaire! Alya Cesaire, here to support Mrs. Talented at the one thing she ISN'T ultra-skilled at: Making Mr. Sunshine notice her! "Oh goddammit…"
Wait a minute… Manon is here too? Why, this constellation… I know this situation… This is the very first episode! Not in a timeline-sense, mind you, but in a release date-sense. And, if I'm not mistaken… this one's akuma was… what was her name? A yes! Stormy Weather, right? The weather one, anyway…

"Should I get out of here? I mean, this place is about to become a battlefield, so… probably not a bad idea.", I thought to myself, but just as I was about to leave, I heard a lightning strike into the ground just inches from me. I flinched into me, and goddamn did I feel weak afterwards. It was just Stormy Weather! No big deal! Okay, maybe a bit of a deal, given that she's an akuma, but still!

Already too late. Bastard's already here, shooting up some balloons with her rivals face on it. Talk about a sore loser…"I simply hid behind a tree. From what I remember, I thought her attack pattern only revolves around straight wind-/lightning-/ice-beams. Meaning, she shouldn't be able to shoot around a target. Ultimate masterplan, for sure…"

After a few seconds, I dared looking from behind my tree, only to see the villain flying away through the gate. "Well, that's one less thing to worry about."

However, I celebrated too early as it turned out. Because just as she was leaving, she was greeted by the feline hero Chat Noir , „Hey there, ice queen! Frosty atmosphere around here, right?"

I snickered into myself. To this day, Chat's shitty puns still get me. Probably because they are so bad, that they're genius again.

However, I regretted that snicker the moment I realized that the akuma heard me and was staring at me angrily. „What?! Am I still just a joke to you?!"

I chuckled a bit again, and replied, „Nope, just his pun that was both terrible and hilarious."

„His pun…", Stormy Weather repeated, pointing at him in disbelief, „THAT'S what you're concerned about right now…"

„Hey, he just gets humour.", I defended, „You should try it too! Really warms up the heart, you know?"

Chat Noir finger gunned at me, replying, „Nice one!"

That was the point, that the akuma had clearly enough, „We'll see, how long you can keep up this funny mood of yours!"

She called upon massive air currents, that pushed both me and Chat in the air, throwing us way too far in the air.

I, for my part, landed safely on a building, barely feeling anything due to the low fall and wacky physics in this world. Chat Noir, on the other hand, landed somewhere on the street.

Just moments later, Ladybug joined him on the spot, mocking his fall jokingly, „I thought cats always landed on their feet."

„Well, this one has a lot of other talents.", he replied, but Ladybug just answered, „Like being ridiculously goofy?"

„I prefer the term „irresistibly charming"."

„I'd summarise it with „Meme-Lord"- OH SHIT!" I was cut of by Stormy Weather's super powered wind nearly pushing me off the roof. But, luckily for me, my shirt got stuck on an antenna. „This world's physics, man… Pretty sure, they're gonna save my arse way more times than just that."

The akuma and the heroes got into an all-out rumble, which seemed pretty normal at first… And by that, I mean: Chat Noir got his butt handed to him, while Ladybug continuously saved it for him. Remembering the battle from the actual episode, that was all just as it was in the show so far.

-x-x-x-

You know, watching this in first person… It had something to it. Something downright… horrifying knowing everything you see can actually happen to you as well. And yet it was quite exciting. Because when seeing it like this, it was more than just a story. It was real.

But as the battle went on, something kept nagging me. I had binge-watched the entire show just before, so a lot of my memory was still fresh. But the way this battle went, was different. Sure, Ladybug and Chat Noir were kind of at a disadvantage until their showdown on the roof of the skyscraper, but they weren't straight up helpless. And this dark, purple aura. No akuma in the entire show ever had that. The way this fight went. It was completely different from how I remembered it!

Ladybug and Chat Noir were persistent, sure, but they could not land a single hit. While Ladybug was trying to attack Stormy Weather directly with her yoyo, Chat Noir tried swinging his extended staff at her from behind, avoiding her shield of wind by doing so. But just as it was about to connect, this dark aura engulfed her again, and she blocked his attack just by catching his staff. "Pathetic, kittycat." She swung Chat Noir along with the staff straight into Ladybug, knocking the both of them on the ground. Then the dark aura vanished again.

"What's going on? My presence here can't be that much of a difference to this battle, right?"Now, Chat Noir was frozen in place, trapped in ice on the wall of a building, while Ladybug was held down by Stormy Weather, just about to lose her earrings.
„This is bad. None of this makes any sense!", I concluded soon, "Stormy Weather. She gets all her power from her parasol. Physically she shouldn't nearly be strong enough to keep Ladybug down."

"Now, Ladybug. Time, you go into hibernation!", Stormy Weather announced, and reached out for her miraculous. That was the moment, I couldn't sit still anymore. I was pretty sure, I was making a mistake by interfering with the show's plot directly, but I KNEW all of this was wrong.

So, I jumped out from behind my corner, and straight up leapt at the akuma, pushing her off from Ladybug, and, in a lucky accident, kicking her parasol away from her as well. And oh boy, did I have zero regrets about that later on. But for the moment, I was absolutely mortified by the absolute power over ice, wind and thunder, which I was currently messing with.

"What the- Who are you to always get in the way?!", the villain was yelling at me, obviously enraged at my interference. And in my panic, as I was trying to wrestle her down, my answer was a little less heroic than I would have liked, "I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT I'M DOING!"

Chat reacted fast. I heard him use his Cataclysm behind me to free himself of the ice, and instantly came to my aid. Using his staff, he supported me at keeping her down, while Ladybug was rushing for the parasol. But the akuma wasn't having any of that, "Oh no, you don't!"

The dark aura engulfed her again, and up close like this I could actually feel this sinister energy flow through her. It was literally chilling. (Hah! Nice…)

She reached out her hand, and the parasol flew straight towards her, allowing her to call forth yet another storm-shield pushing Chat Noir and me off from her. "Wait, she can call her parasol to her as well?! Is that new?! Could she always do that and was just never shown?! I have so many questions!" Now I was sitting on the ground, leaning back against the same building Chat was just frozen to, taking a breather.

-x-x-x-

Well, let me just say, I was quite surprised by how much pressure I must have been able to work on her. After all, instead of keeping her assault up, she just straight up flew away. "She must be reluctant to take risks. Two people can be kept on the radar with little problem, but with three one can get out of sight easily.", I tried to explain her behaviour to myself.

But my train of thought was interrupted by Chat making a terrible pun, "Clawesome move right there! I owe you one!"

I blinked surprised. "Did I just… get complimented by Chat Noir him very self?" "I… literally don't know, how to respond to that…"

"That's fine.", Chat accepted, twirling his staff before leaning on it, "I have that sort of effect on people"

"Chat, we're on a mission here!", Ladybug reminded him, as she held her hand out to me, "Are you okay?"

I allowed her to help me get to my feet and replied pathetically clumsily, "I-I'm okay! Can't feel a thing! Then again, might just be the adrenalin coursing through me right now… But I'm fine, really!"

Ladybug waited a moment, then chuckled a bit, "No need to be nervous. You were the one who just saved me."

"Yeah, about that…", Chat awkwardly took word, "I really shouldn't have taken that long to use my Cataclysm."

"While on the topic!", I suddenly remembered, "You should probably recharge your batteries! Just in case you need your Cataclysm again!"

The two of them stared at me, kind of surprised. "Shit, did I just make myself suspicious?"

"You know how our powers work?", Ladybug asked confused. "Yep, definitely took a wrong step there."

"Ah- N-No, I-I just know that you both can use them one time each and have just five more minutes afterwards.", I tried to reflect. And thank god, Chat Noir let the topic drop, "Either way, you have a point. I would transform back any minute now anyway. Be back in a flash!"

„And there he goes. I should probably follow his lead.", I took word again, „Without superpowers it's not like I can do all that much to help anyway."

„You know…", Ladybug stopped me for a moment, „When fighting a villain, superpowers aren't the thing to make the difference. Courage and determination are." She placed her hand on my shoulder. „And you've just proven, that you have both of those things. Still, I must ask you to sit the rest of this fight out. When we're fighting a villain like Stormy Weather, I'm not sure if we'd be able to keep you safe."

„Understandable.", I agreed, and turned to leave. But before I ran off, I held in again, „Ladybug… Thank you. Your appreciation means a lot to me."

With that, I took my leave.

-x-x-x-

By now I came to the conclusion, that this universe must have had bigger plans for me. Or at the very least, it didn't put me here by sheer coincidence.

First indicator: I've been brought here specifically. Of course, the show was focused on this place, but I could have appeared in any time-period in any place whatsoever. I even could have appeared in any other place of Paris, but no. I am at the exact showcase of the show. (HAH, Chat Noir would be proud.)

Secondly: The fact that I was given the ability to feel this dark aura of the akuma. I'm sure the duo of heroes was able to see it, but I don't think they could feel it. Not like I could. Even now, as I was trying to get away from the fight, I could still feel this dark aura appearing and disappearing again and again.

Third: I JUST SO HAPPENED to run into yet another thing I recognized as a key-item based on the very characteristic "Mystery-BGM".

Said key-item was a black stone between a lot of trash in a back alley. The reason I noticed it, was because it was engulfed by the same dark aura as Stormy Weather before. I could even feel that one as well, and the feeling got stronger and stronger the closer I got.

I picked it up. The way it was positioned indicated to me, that it was meant to be hidden. Under a shitton of rubbish and junk, in a way that wouldn't be possible naturally. "This sort of stone. It was never shown in the show. It doesn't even fit in with the lore of this world so far. Has this always been a part of this world?"

My train of thought was interrupted by another enormous surge of energy to the akuma. That was, when I made a decision out of complete and utter spite. "What would happen, if I broke it?"

The soles of the shoes this world has given me were hard. That was one of the first things I had realized when I got here. Mostly because I was amazed at how comfortable they were to walk and run around in nonetheless.

But the important part here was, that I was sure I could smash this rock by stomping on it with those hard as hell soles. The stone was fairly soft after all. I could rub parts of it off just by lightly pushing it against a wall.

So I let the glowing thing drop, and utterly crushed the thing under my complete weight (which wasn't a lot, mind you. 58,46 kg for my 184 cm height to be exact. God, I'm a flyweight…) And what do you know, the great surge of power I could feel in the akuma disappeared the very same second the dark aura of the stone stopped shining.

"I don't know what I just smashed, but I'm positive it was a good thing to do it.", I just decided for myself, and went on, not a care in the world. You know, other than that I was literally stranded in the world of a TV-Show.

-x-x-x-

Sooner than I had expected appeared the magic Ladybugs that healed all the damage, including my hurting back from when Stormy Weather threw me straight against a wall. "Well, good thing that's dealt with. Can I go home now? The episode is over!", I talked into nothingness, and got just as much reaction. Nothing.

"Well screw you then! I sure as shit ain't living through every single episode in this show!"

Nothing.

"…Ugh, get it together man! Talking to yourself is not gonna help you!", I scolded myself.

It was then, that I noticed I had walked all the way back to the park where I started. HAH, Manon was just chosen over Marinette for the Photoshoot. That's fun. Thomas Astruc just loved screwing her over with everything he got, didn't he? Started in the very first episode, carried through 'til today.

"Okay, back to the problem at hand. What the hell am I doing here?", I focused again, when I just got an idea. Alya was Ms. journalist extraordinaire. Maybe she could help me?

"Hell no, bad idea. This will go any direction, except the way you want it.", I declined that plan right away. Plus, that would most likely just end up on her blog, and goddamn was I not interested in that.

So, I merely left the park, not finding anything else to do here. But as I most innocently scooted by, I could have sworn Marinette's eyes widened as she noticed me. "Figures. I've undoubtedly raised her attention when I had the guts to throw myself at an akuma as a civilian. I have a feeling she'll keep her eyes on me for a while."
