Graphic Warning: I rarely write violence, but after reading one fic from one of my favorite writers, YES I'm talking about your Mimag-sensei! I just wanted to make a certain female and male character suffer and burry or throw them to a buoy half-dead. But I think I'll be doing a bit worse, but first I need to make poor Kuon injured for me to do that, oOF.
Never Shattered
It all started with the previous council election, there was a little known story about LME Academy's favorite council president being assaulted and was attempted to be murdered by her election competition, the princess of Morizumi clan. Kyoko remembered it all that day, her fear after the attempt to push her off from the rooftop of their building down to their campus' assembly ground.
The young witch was quite the Madonna-wannabe and always seek everyone's attention and sympathy. She also attempted to kill their third competition for the council president seat, Koenji Erika, daughter of a very wealthy conglomerate, sadly she was badly injured and bound to a wheelchair in the process.
Presently, Kyoko and Kuon on their way home talking and flirting like their would usually do; some thugs in motor bikes, holding baseball pipes, tonfas and pipes cornered the couple. Kuon covered Kyoko to protect her, "Can you tell us why are you guys targeting my Kaichou?" Kuon trying to ask who's behind the ambush that way even when he's hurt he'll have a lead on whom to go after.
The men just grinned eager with bloodlust, one however replied, sorry man, but we were paid handsomely to do this, and we can't disappoint." He snorted and throwing the piece of cigarette he was puffing and took the first blow towards Kuon.
Kuon used his issued airsoft pistol that discharges pepper spray pellets, it somehow pushed back the delinquents however there were too many of them and three clips of ammunition was not enough, however he managed to get Kyoko to safety after so much persuasion. "I'll call for help!" And she was able to disappear around the alleys meanwhile Kuon was caught by the thugs.
Some were not able to recover because of the pepper spray effect and the excruciating sting and pain, but there were plenty of thugs to begin with and despite Kuon's expertise with hand-to-hand combat, there were many of them. Pipes, baseball bats, wooden paddles and anything blunt to hit the young actor landed. By the time Kyoko came back with people to help, the thugs started running off and the police was able to arrest those that Kuon managed to fend off.
The council president was in tears calling ambulance and panicking, seeing Kuon in a rugged, bleeding and unconscious state. Cradling his head and calling out his name in tears, she tried to stop the stab wound's bleeding using Kuon's hip carry trauma-kit. Immediately the paramedics arrived and complimented Kyoko's quick first aid response which preserved Kuon's life from bleeding out. The young man had multiple stab wounds, bruises from being hit by blunt objects from his shoulder, upper arm, forearms, back, abdomen, thighs and leg.
Three of his ribs were shattered as well as his fibula and radius blocking all the objects being used to hit him. Kyoko during the ambulance ride was briefed with Kuon's vitals and condition, thankfully the young actor was able to cover his head well from all the assault done, but in the process broke at least five of his bones. Arriving at the hospital, Kyoko right away called Kuu and Julie who then dropped everything they were doing and scheduled for the evening, and then called her own parents.
Kyoko's mother was furious at what happened and ended up calling her stepfather. The Mogamis marched in the establishment fuming at what happened, as much as her stepfather would not admit, Kuon has become part of his family since he and Kyoko grew up and became inseparable.
Kuon was now stable and being kept in the ICU for monitoring after having multiple stab-wounds. His parents then rushed to where he was and spoke to Kyoko before the doctor asking her about what happened.
Still shaken about the traumatic events, "We were just walking home as usual, but then these guys in motor bikes, I think they were from the West High just blocked out way, and then stared at us for a good few minutes before one guy tried to hit Kuon with a paddle." She breathed.
Behind the Hizuri couple is a police officer trying to ask details too, "Kuon then asked them why they are targeting us, and another replied that they were paid to do it. Clearly I was the one they are after, but Kuon..." She cried and apologized begging for the Hizuris for forgiveness, Kuu and Julie's hearts shattered at her state.
Kyoko was on the floor doing a dogeza begging for them, Julie was the first to move and sat on the floor to pull Kyoko up and assured, "Dear, none of this is your fault. To whoever paid them is, well have this settled evenly." Hugging her.
"My Darling is right, sweetie... I'm just proud my son was able to protect you, and have plenty of those good for nothing boys hurt and arrested. At least we have some people to interrogate." Kuu huffed in anger.
The police on the other hand smiled and nodded, "Hizuri-san did great actually, I commend him for the job. This way we have some people on our side to held accountable and question." Kyoko calmed down.
Meanwhile her mother made plenty of calls that evening, especially her prosecutor friends.
Thankfully the young actor regained consciousness an hour later, "Where's Kyoko?" He groaned and having panic in fear of his beloved safety. The Doctor at that time smiled and gave him an assuring pat on his good leg turned to his sleeping girl.
Kyoko was able to finally change into a comfortable homey clothes and now taking a nap by the offered lounge in the ICU suite that Kuon was transferred to, the lounge was scooted close to his bed since Kyoko wanted to be as near as possible.
Kuon remained awake waiting for his exhausted girl to open her eyes, "Did you know your lady saved your life too?" The doctor praised Kyoko, "She was able to apply some basic first aid and at least slow down the bleeding." He said which Kuon already expected since Kyoko was a talented nurse. She played as one of the prodigy medic from one of her drama and practiced on Kuon and even volunteered to have a first hand experience.
Shortly, when Kyoko woke up she instantly fussed around Kuon, the young man patted his side despite the restrained situation and begged her to sleep with him. "By the way, Otsukinoji-kun came to visit with his friends earlier and was asking a lot of things from me." Kyoko knows what her stepbrother was thinking but allowed him to do it.
Kyoko was furious of what happened to Kuon and she does not care whatever her demon of a brother does, she is not pointing fingers but she knows who was behind the heinous attack towards her and her boyfriend. For now, she will let him handle and confirm things and then reveal who was the one responsible. "Otsukinoji-kun got you some snacks and fruits too." She pointed at the table full of chocolates, chips and fruits.
"That's sweet of him, I thought he does not like me?" Kuon chuckled.
Kyoko giggling, "Are you kidding me? If he does not like you, my Kuon might have become fish bait ages ago." Kuon gulped knowing how scary Kyoko's stepbrother, he had some shady stuff going on, but he was kind if you're on his side. They ended up falling as sleep after their talk and Kuon comforting Kyoko as she kept holding him and it was adorable when Kuu and Julie found them cuddled.
Few days later, Kuon was transferred to a normal private suite and few of vital devices were removed, he's now however packed with casts and bandages from all the fractures and stitches- Kyoko filed for both hers and Kuon's academic leave, their head master was kind enough to allow in purpose of Kuon's heavy injuries and Kyoko's traumatic experience. When in truth Kyoko just wanted to be around Kuon and help him be his limbs.
Of course, Kuon was loving the full attention and loving she was showering him. The media started to camp the hospital after getting the wind of what happened to Japan's darling actress and eternal butterfly and her knightly prince and Japan's top teen actor. Kuu and Julie with the assistance of Japan's iron woman cleared up and told few details about the tragic event and now fans as well as parents were upset and even protesting to know who was the mastermind behind the attack.
A post made by Kyoko's influencer best friends titled, "Never Shattered" attaching the teen couple's sweet pictures online, went viral. Their fans were pleased that their favorite ship was floating elegantly as ever and now leaving a trail of flowers for everyone to see.
Amidst of all the media chaos, Kyoko's brother confirmed Kyoko's suspicion that it was the Morizumi girl, however they were not expecting that she was with her long time boyfriend and Kuon's Hollywood rival.
And currently, the couple are just having their leisure weekend with their friends at their private suite's lounge, Kuon can finally sit and join them felt comfortable with Kyoko beside him, "How's did Otsukinoji-kun manage to make the leader of West High talk?" Kanae asked interested.
Kyoko did know the details but Kuon does after his future-brother-in-law told him, "He and his Demolition Ranch stormed in their and started to fire at the gang members with his new ammunitions." Kuon wanted to have those, "Apparently, the one he issued to me served well and the effects were longer than predicted. So he added more to the exploding BBs and used it against everyone there." Kyoko was stunned to hear it, but she did not care after what they did to her precious Kuon, the actor's fellow prefects present whistled interested with the lethal self defense item.
Kuon went to continue, "It was not just him, he was with Usui-san and Kuran Kaname's brother." Kuon said in full amusement.
"Wait, just the three of them?" Yashiro gasped.
The girls rolled their eyes, "You realize those thee are monsters with no soul." Chiori snorted, "Cute, but like I said NO SOUL! I bet they're already after Bennett's head right now." she added and they all agreed.
On cue, "What do you mean no soul?" Chiori screeched after Otsukinoji appeared, "Give this to mother." Handing a flash drive.
Kyoko confused, "What is this for?" Her brother then started to explain.
He had a dark look in his eyes, "I obtained those from the bribed morons, apparently their school had cameras installed and the witch personally went there handing them the stack of cash. Your case is being handled by a special prosecutor and these types of evidence is valid. I'll send her details that way they can have more information for the investigation." The older students listening were shocked that the younger man was knowledgeable when it comes to law.
Turning to Kuon, "Once the case is done and they will be convicted, sadly since they are both minor they can be a subject for release. But don't worry, they will always be a subject for a 'witch hunt' after a motion for release." He then turned to Chiori with a grim loop-sided smirk, "You're right, I have no soul." the girls shivered and Kyoko was pleased her brother is bringing her man to justice.
Kuon let out a laugh which hurt his sides, "I hope I'm well by that time, I wanted to watch."
Otsukinoji is a terrifying figure, "Then, hurry. Nee-sama needs a decent weekend date." He teased and Kyoko pouted, Kuon winked and assured him.
Months passed by and Kuon's wounds completely healed, sadly with his fractures he's still bound to casts for his left arm and right leg, still he can now move around and help or follow Kyoko with the aid of his crutches and sling.
And as predicted the case went smoothly and the Morizumi girl as well as the Bennett boy were charged with few felonious crimes which included assault and attempted murder after the Koenji girl stepped in and provided the clip when she was pushed off the balcony and Kyoko from the roof top. As expected by Kyoko's stepbrother, they were released after a motion was made as they were still minors, however they weren't able to escape the hunters' wrath.
Kuon and Kyoko watched from a distance, in the safety of the brand-new Bronco that Kuu has purchased for his son. It was then equipped with security devices including the modified military grade items that Kyoko's stepfather installed for the couple.
Kyoko watched in satisfaction as Morizumi Kimiko ugly cried- screaming for help as the Eternal Butterfly's stepbrother's men shovel dirt down the ten-foot pit they placed Kimiko, this was just a warning inducing fear. Of course, Kyoko's brother had few people from the inside and he'll be off scratch free. Meanwhile, the couple after a few days received a live feed from the sea demon sending Cedric Bennett out the sea clinging to a buoy.
Of course, Otsukinoji left a note that one of his men will collect the American actor after a day, once he learns his lesson, "Remind me not to bump with your brother?" Kuon joked and Kyoko rolled her eyes.
Kissing his nose, "Then don't shatter my heart." The young actress learned to spoil her beau after the traumatic event months ago, and now she happily likes to snuggle and cuddle with him when their schedules as well the place allows. Both spent their afternoon scooted and laid over a hammock Kuon had ordered and installed, of course with the help of his future-brother-in-law.

I just want to let everyone know that I changed my writing challenge for this weekly prompt tasks, I went from Challenge Mode: where we are going to write within 1 hour and upload it after despite having very little content, finished or not. To Stroll Mode: gives us plenty of time to write and finish within the week and keeping it short within 3k words.

And to Goodtome and mehj, your well wishes and reviews really helps me to write more! No worries, I'm on my road to recovering and can now eat solids!
