39. Chapter 39

Ben 10: Alien Rebirth

Chapter 39: Divided We Stand

We open in a bleak looking prison, and we see a familiar mad scientist sitting on a bench.

Dr. Animo!

He declared, "the time…. Has come! Soon, I, Doctor Aloysious J. Animo, will bring about a new world order! And they thought they could lock me up forever!"

However, his only audience consisted of a bunch of seagulls.

A prison guard chuckled, "you're not goin' ANYWHERE, Doctor Freakamo."

He and his friend laughed as they walked away, while a seagull flew down with something in its beak.

"Ignore them, my pet", Animo told the seagull, who dropped a microchip into his hand, "for you have been exceedingly loyal, bringing the components I need, one piece at a time!"

He pulls out a strange device hidden within his prison jumpsuit, and inserted the microchip into it.

He growled, "now, I can use this to escape this place and find that boy with that watch!"

Animo activated his new Transmodulator and pointed it at the seagull.

A sickly green beam shot out and engulfed the bird; in an instant, it was transformed into a massive monster!

Prisoners scattered in fear as Animo cackled in mad glee and jumped atop the seagulls' back!

Animo, "so long suckers!"

Several guards tried to flank the seagull, but one flap of its wings sent them all flying into the walls! Animo took off into the air, cackling like a hyena on laughing gas!

Animo, "next stop! Tennyson!"

….

Meanwhile, at the beach….

Gwen was under a beach umbrella, reading her spellbook in a one piece blue swimsuit, while Grandpa was working on a device while using a blowtorch.

Xylene was in her human disguise, relaxing under the shade, and Hope had just walked over to them in a new two piece purple bikini.

Hope, "anyone seen Ben? I wanted to get his opinion on my new bikini."

Gwen thought, 'I'm sure you do….'

Max, "if I know him, he's off trying to make his own fun."

That's when several people ran past them, screaming.

All four of them looked towards the water to see RipJaws walking out of it like the creature from the black lagoon.

He roared, inwardly laughing his head off at everyone's reactions, "BLAAAAAAUGH!"

Xylene didn't even sit up as she said, "Ben, stop scaring people!"

RipJaws protested, crossing his scaly arms, "but it's FUUUUUN."

Hope smirked and thought of a good way to mess with her boyfriend.

She dropped her sunglasses and loudly said, "oops! I dropped them."

She bent over, making RipJaws blush and nearly fall over as he got a good view of her rear.

Hope thought, 'heh…. Consider that fish hooked.'

Ripjaws then reverts back into Ben, who quickly runs into the water and dunks down to scream and hide his embarrassment.

Max, "Ben, can't you behave yourself while we're out in public?"

Ben crossed his arms, "I was just joking around."

Xylene, "still, it wasn't very polite."

Gwen, "besides, what if you got exposed?"

Ben, "I always make sure to hide my transformations from everyone…. Except the bad guys, but we all know why that is."

Hope, "yeah, but, can't we just relax for one day?"

Ben, "with this family? Not likely", Ben got out of the water and went off to find something else to kill time, muttering, "besides…. If I wanted to build stuff or read books, I'd have signed up for summer school…."

As Ben was walking, he didn't notice something from up high spying on him….

But its shadow was growing larger! Ben began to notice the shadow, and looked up to see a rather frightening sight!

Behind him was the monstrous mutant seagull!

Ben, "aw crap!"

Ben started running as fast as he could from the seagull!

Ben, "c'mon, Omnitrix…. Gotta stay on my feet if I'm gonna stay alive here!"

He activated the watch and pulled it up. He dialed through the watch for a few moments before coming upon a new strange silhouette.

Panicked, he pressed the dial down and was engulfed in a flash of green light.

Standing in Ben's place was a black and white colored alien with a fin on his head, and bright green eyes

He talked in a very cartoony voice, saying, "woah! What can this guy do?"

The seagulls suddenly grabbed onto the new alien, who grabbed onto a nearby pole in order to save themselves!

"Hey! Let go of me", the alien shouted, before he suddenly split into a second copy of himself, "or…. Let go of US?"

The copy quickly kicked the seagull in the face, yelling, "get offa me, ya crazy woodpecker!"

Gwen and the others heard the commotion and ran towards what was going on!

Gwen asked when she saw the duplicate duo, "whoa! What kind of alien…. Or aliens…. Are those?"

Hope, "I have no idea. I mean, I like Ben, but two might be too many."

Xylene, "he's become a Splixson. An alien that can duplicate itself infinitely."

The aliens yelled, "just help us already!"

The first one yelled, "yeah! Get Tweety Bird here offa me before we get our legs ripped off!"

The second one yelled, "hurry!"

Hope and Gwen powered up their magic and yelled, "Pardicitus Metalerca!"

The spell forced the seagull to let go of the alien copycats!

Suddenly, a burst of energy knocked the massive bird off its talons! It flew off in flight as the others all ran to the two aliens as they picked themselves up off of the ground.

Hope, "are you, uh, both okay?"

The two alien copies replied, rubbing their heads, "uh…. Yeah; we think so."

Gwen, "so, you're an alien that can clone himself. What're you gonna call this form?"

The alien pair declared, "DITTO."

They high fived and formed back into one alien!

Ditto, "this is gonna be fun!"

And he had some mischievous ideas in mind!

….

Some time later, we see 4 Ditto's playing volleyball together as another was rubbing suntan lotion on Hope's back, and another was trying to poke Gwen with a stick.

Gwen, "stop it, Ben."

Ditto retorted, waving the stick around, "what? I'm touching the air! You're not made of air!"

Gwen used a spell to send Ditto flying through the air and into the water!

Ditto, "spoilsport…."

As the Ditto climbed out of the water, Hope asked, "who do you think sent that giant seagull?"

Ditto 2, "my money's on Dr. Animo."

Max, "that seems like the most logical option."

Xylene, "we better keep a lookout then."

All six Ditto's, "right!"

And one by one, they broke off into extra Dittos and raced off.

Gwen, "this is not gonna end well…."

Several of the Ditto's began playing basketball with one another while two began using large leaves to fan off Hope as she sunbathed.

The basketball bounced away, and one of the Ditto's went to get it.

Ditto, "just hang over here, guys; I'll get it."

Ditto went over to get the ball.

But as the Ditto grabbed the basketball as it landed by the water, he felt the ground beginning to shake, and the water thrashing about.

Suddenly, out of the water emerges a giant mutated squid!

And who should be riding atop it?

Why, a cackling Doctor Animo!

Ditto whispered, "oh crap baskets."

Amino cackled out, "I've got you now!"

Ditto starts running as fast as he can away from Animo and his squid!

But he wasn't fast enough, since the squid grabbed him in its tentacle.

Animo sneered as he dropped the Splixon into a containment chamber, "it seems that this watch of yours is just chock-full of new alien DNA. And I'll enjoy extracting ALL of it from you…. As PAINFULLY as possible!"

Ditto yelled as loud as he could, "GUYS! HELP!"

The others heard the alien duplicate scream and quickly ran over to see the squid swimming away with Ditto in its grasp!

But they weren't in much of a position to do anything about their situation, seeing that their compadré had been captured and taken away.

Hope, "BEN!"

The other Dittos, who had formed back into two of them, said, "yes?"

Hope groaned, "I mean the one that just got captured! We gotta save him!"

The others nodded as the Omnitrix's on the Ditto's chests began to blink red!

But when the timer reaches zero…. They were still the same!

The Dittos remain as Dittos!

Ditto 1, "woah! We're still alien?"

Gwen, "maybe the clones have to be together before the Omnitrix can time out and revert them all back into Ben."

Xylene, "that must be the case. So we had better rescue the other one as soon as we can if we want to reverse this."

The others nodded in agreement.

….

Meanwhile….

We see Amino emerging in an abandoned sunken ship base, his large mutated seagull sitting in the rafters.

Ditto is futilely smashing his fists against the grip of the squid while yelling, "let me go before I tear off your tentacles ya slimy, inky, oversized bath toy!"

Animo only cackled in malicious glee as he said, "struggle all you want! It won't do you any good!"

The squid dumped the containment chamber's contents out, causing Ditto to drop to the floor. As soon as he was out, though, he was confronted by a mutated albatross.

Ditto, "whassamatter, buzzard beak? Scared I'll pluck out some more feathers~?"

Before the albatross could attack, Animo got in between them.

Animo, "NO! We NEED the specimen alive!"

The giant bird growled as Ditto blew raspberries at it.

Animo, "he'll receive his comeuppance soon enough."

The bird grumbled as they flew up to a nest they had built.

Animo then grinned evilly at Ditto.

Animo declared firmly, "with your DNA, the things I'll create will make these creatures look like single-celled amoebas."

Soon, he had Ditto suspended in a chamber, while electrocuting him with a cattle prod.

Ditto screamed in utter pain as….

….

…. The other two Dittos suddenly screamed as they were sailing with Max, Hope, Xylene and Gwen!

Hope, "Ben?! You okay!?"

Ditto 1, "ugh, I think so…. But that really hurt! Whatever it was."

Xylene then explained, "Splixson's can multiply an infinite number of times, but the drawback is that they can feel each other's pain."

Ditto 2, "so Animo must be torturing the other us!"

Gwen, "then we have to move it, NOW!"

The group began sailing as fast as they possibly could.

They had a Splixson to save!

Ditto 3, "the signal is getting stronger!"

Max, "we must be getting closer to where Animo is!"

Xylene, "we can only hope the other Ben is clever enough to plan an escape."

Gwen, "he's doomed…."

….

Meanwhile….

The other Ditto is still floating in the tank.

But as he spots the mutant seagull staring at him, he suddenly gets an idea!

Ditto shouted, waving his arms at the seagull, "yo! Featherbrain!"

The seagull growls at Ditto and slowly draws closer to the tank.

Ditto blows a raspberry and then turns around and begins smacking his butt as he yells, "you look like Colonel Sanders' wet dream!"

The seagull grew angrier and angrier as Ditto mocked him.

Animo, "silence! Your incessant chatter is disrupting the extracting and analyzing process!"

….

The boat was now coming up on Animo's lair

Max, "there it is! Ben's, steer us towards that thing!"

Ditto 2, "yessir!"

Ditto 3, "I wanna steer the thing!"

Dirro 4, "no, me!"

The others all yelled, "BEN!"

All three Dittos shouted, "WHAT?!"

That's when they saw that they were headed towards a large rock!

Ditto 2, "oh-"

Ditto 3, "-holy-"

Ditto 4, "-crap!"

The three copies quickly began steering the ship out of the way as they got closer to Animo's lair….

….

Ditto continues to tease Animo's bird, making various insults and rude gestures to the seagull.

Ditto then pulled the final straw as he yelled, "you'd make better fried chicken than a force of destruction!"

The seagull roared in rage and flew at the tank in anger!

Ditto thought, 'jackpot!'

He ducked down as the seagull crashed into the tank.

Animo, "NO! YOU FOOL!"

Ditto jumped out of the tanks and began running as fast as he could towards the nearest exit!

Animo turned to the seagull as it shook water and glass off of its feathers and he yelled, "GET HIM!"

The seagull roared into the air as it chased after Ditto!

Ditto, "crap, crap, crap!"

He ran through the boat, looking for an exit!

….

Meanwhile….

The Dittos, "he's close, I can feel it!"

But then, their Omnitrix's started beeping…. And they started floating into the air, before soaring towards Animo's ship.

Hope, "Ben!"

The Ditto's all landed on the ship with a loud thud!

They all exclaimed, "we made it!"

Ditto 4, running from a swarm of angry tentacles attacking him, screamed, "RUUUUUUN!"

Before the Dittos could register this, they ended up colliding with each other, and were engulfed in a massive red flash!

Falling flat on their face was Ben, who quickly got up and began running as the giant seagull burst out of the ship!

Ben gulped, terrified, "oh, man…."

(But you'd be too if you were being pursued by a gigantic mutant seagull!)

Ben began running as fast as he could as the others slowly approached on their boat!

The seagull then suddenly grabbed Ben and began flying through the air!

Ben, "somebody help me!"

Max quickly activated a jetpack he had brought with him and quickly flew after the seagull!

But before Max could reach the giant bird, they let go of Ben!

Ben screamed as he plummeted through the air!

Right above some jagged rocks!

But right before Ben was about to get impaled, he stopped in midair, covered in a pink glow!

Ben slowly looked up to see Hope and Gwen standing on the edge of the boat, their eyes and hands glowing!

Ben stated without a hint of irony, "... nice catch, guys."

Hope and Gwen smiled as they got Ben back onto the boat, while Max landed next to them.

The seagull roared as it flew at the kids!

Hope, "Zaphirious Expectorium Perpetua!"

This sends the seagull flying into the air!

Gwen, "nice one, Hope! Now it's my turn!"

Hope, "all you, Gwen!"

Gwen began to channel the magic from the charms of Bezel as lightning shot right out of her fingertips and hit the seagull!

The seagull roared in pain as they crashed into the water!

Ben, "take that, ya ugly bird brain!"

Max and Xylene soon docked the boat to the large ship base as the group jumped onto the villainous craft.

The whole thing began to shake!

Hope, "what the heck?!"

Ben, "that can't be good!"

Suddenly, the floor in front of the group crashed open as the large mutated squid popped out with Amino on top of them, cackling like a lunatic!

Animo, "you fools will face my wrath!"

That's right when the Omnitrix booted back up!

Ben smirked and said, "well it looks like Ditto is gonna make a film of you again!"

Ben quickly dialed the watch and slammed down!

But as the burst of green light faded, Upgrade was standing there instead.

Upgrade, "Upgrade? Oh, dangit", but then he glanced down at the boat, "... then again, this might not be so unlucky…."

Upgrade began to merge with the boat as Amino yelled, "no! Stop him, my squid!"

The squid grabs Upgrade before they can fully merge with the boat and starts stretching him!

Upgrade, "oh crap! Let go of me!"

Gwen reached out as her hand began glowing.

She chanted, "Bondicutis, Metallurca!"

This caused a freight crane's support chain to break, making it drop a shipping container on the squid's tendril, making it cry out as it let go of Upgrade.

Upgrade, "thanks! Now let's see if I can't play a mean game of skill crane!"

Upgrade merged with the crane!

He began using the crane to grab the squid's arms and tie them together! He then activated the power of the crane to electrocute the squid!

Animo screamed as he was thrown from the back of his beastly companion and back through the hole he had come out of!

The squid continued to screech in pain until it slumped over, unconscious.

Upgrade unmerged from the top of the crane and yelled, "boo-yah!"

But suddenly, the Omnitrix began blinking red!

Upgrade muttered, "dangit-", before he transformed back into Ben!

Ben was right on the edge of the crane, and lost his balance!

Ben began falling!

The others all yelled, "BEN!"

Max quickly activated his jetpack again and flew into the air, grabbing Ben in midair and gently descending to the ground.

Ben, "nice catch, Grandpa."

Max gave a light chuckle as he set Ben down.

But that's when Animo's demented cackle made itself heard!

Everyone turned to see the mad scientist emerging from the hole on top of a mutant Lepidopteran, with an entire army of them behind him, splitting into twos!

Gwen, "whoa! Since when could Animo's creepy creatures do THAT?!"

Xylene, "he must have infused them with Splixxon DNA!"

Ben, "if he got Ditto's powers, that means he got his weaknesses too."

Animo cackled, "with this army of creatures, I shall destroy everything in my path! Hahahaha!"

He and his Mutant Lepidopterans fly away with the intent of destroying a town!

Ben began fiddling with the watch, muttering, "come on! Come on!"

Suddenly, the watch comes to life!

Ben, "normally I'd question how it recharged so fast, but I ain't gonna look a gift horse in the mouth!"

Ben quickly dials up Ditto yet again and presses down!

Ditto exclaimed, "that's right, ladies and gentlemen! Ditto is back in the game and ready for another round!"

Ditto splits into several clones that leap at the mutated creatures!

They began hitting the Lepidopterans over their heads, disorienting them!

Animo, "no! You fools! What're you doing?!"

The Dittos keep punching the mutant creatures over their heads, but the Lepidopterans manage to throw all the Dittos back onto the ship!

Gwen, "Ben! Those things were created from your DNA, right?!"

The Dittos all said, "yeah?"

Gwen, "then that means, like you, they'll feel each other's pain!"

Hope, "I see where this is going! Destroy one of them…."

The Dittos, "DESTROY ALL OF THEM!"

Two asked, "now…. Which Stinkfly do we attack?"

Gwen facepalmed, "it doesn't matter, just PICK one!"

The Dittos all looked at each other before heading out into action, and getting onto the back of one who happened to have Animo onboard!

Animo, "no! Get off of me you single brained simpletons!"

Two of the Dittos grabbed onto the mutated Lepidopteran's wings, and pulled them and Animo down into the water!

This causes one of the mutated beasts to crash into the boat, while the others slowly begin to dissolve into slime and flop to the ground in goopy messes!

Animo climbs back onto the boat, yelling, "you'll all pay for this!"

And then, suddenly, an army of Dittos emerge from the water and pile on top of Animo!

They exclaimed in unison, "the check's in the mail, whackjob!"

….

Soon afterwards, Dr. Animo was in handcuffs, and being taken to prison once more.

Gwen, "you think he'll STAY in prison this time, Grandpa?"

Max, "even if he DOES escape, I deleted all his computer files. So he won't be replicating anymore Omnitrix DNA."

Ben, "... I think that goes for me, too. I'm all Ditto-ed out, at least for a while."

Hope, "good, because as much as I care about ya, one Ben is enough for me."

Ben smiled as Xylene said, "why don't we try to enjoy the rest of our day at the beach?"

The others nodded as they went off to enjoy the rest of their day….

….

Later, in prison….

Animo is being led into a visiting room, saying, "what is the meaning of this?"

The guard leading him said, "some guy is looking to pay your bail, Animo. Wants a word with ya first."

The guard pushes Animo into the room, and Animo sees Driscoll sitting there with Rojo nearby.

Driscoll said, "hello, Dr. Animo. We have a proposition for you. One that'll get you revenge on Tennyson and his little friends."

Animo looked surprised at first, but then gave an evil grin and asked, "when do I start?"

Driscoll said, "we could use your scientific expertise on a man by the name of…. Clancy…."

….

Eon's backstory will be that he's an alternate version of Ben whose universe was all but destroyed, and the Chronosapien DNA corrupted him and whoever was left into that species. Race Against Time will have him trying to take control of this Ben's universe to have a world again. 2. Yes, but not intentionally. 3. I just forgot Rook. He and his sister will be mentioned in Ken 10. 4. Devin Levin will be real. I hated the Rooters retcon. So in this story, Devin did exist, and Kevin was childhood friends with Helen, Manny, Swift, Alan and Pierce. No false memories or retcons. Servantis' first meeting with Ben will be when he appears in Omniverse. 5. Sort of. By the time Omniverse rolls around, aliens will start living amongst humans. 6. Yes, but he won't give Ben's Omnitrix any new abilities.
