After a while they all calmed down.
"So where are you staying Vanessa?" Nemuri asks.
"Oh I'm staying at a hotel until I go back."
Nemuri gasps. "What?! A hotel! No, no you can stay with me and Tenya!"
"Erm.. I wouldn't want to be a burden."
"You wouldn't be a burden sweetie."
"But-"
"You should listen to Nemuri otherwise she'll keep on. Trust me, it gets annoying." Shota interrupts, rolling his eyes. "Or you can stay with me and you can use my room while I sleep on the couch.
"Aww Sho I always knew you cared about other people!" Hizashi beams.
"Leave me alone Hizashi."
"Nope friends don't leave friends alone."
"Then we're not friends."
"You're right! We're brothers!"
Shota sighs while running a hand down his face.
"How did this even happen?" He mumbles.
"You remind me of Vincent." Vanessa says.
~"He's still around?" Elly asks, looking hopeful.
"Yea kiddo Vince is still around."
~"Yay!" She signs excitedly. ~"Why didn't you bring him?"~
"He was busy. Sorry. But, we can facetime him later."
~"Ok!"~
"Who's Vincent?" Hizashi asks.
"Oh, he's my boyfriend. But Shota reminds me of him because their personalities are similar."
"Well anyways you have 2 choices so choose or I will." Shota says.
Vannesa blinks then whispers to Hizashi, "Is he always this blunt?"
"Yep!" He says enthusiastically.
"Ok then… umm I guess I'll stay with you and Elly and cancel my hotel…"
"Do you have anything you need to grab from there?" Shota asks.
"Yea a few suitcases."
"Ok Hizashi and Nemuri can take you."
"Shota, I thought we had to pick up dinner?" Hizashi asks.
"Do I have to think of everything? One of you takes her and the other picks up dinner while I stay with the kids."
"I'll take her." Nemuri says.
"And I'll pick up dinner." Hizashi adds.
"Good now go."
And so the 3 of them leave.
"Tenya, what day are we supposed to visit your brother? I forgot to ask." Shoto says.
"Oh, it'll be on a Wednesday."
"Alright. I just needed to know since we're visiting my mother that Sunday."
"Yes, of course. How is she by the way?"
"Better. Thanks. And your brother."
"The same."
Elly sits there awkwardly as Shota starts to get the stuff to set the table.
~"Do you want some help dad?"~ Elly asks while wheeling over to him.
He smiles at her. "Sure you can set the napkins and chopsticks."~ He says while handing her the said items.
She does that while he sets the plates, cups, and bowls.
~"Thanks for letting Vanny stay here."~
"Your welcome, problem child."
After a bit Nemuri and Vanessa came back.
"Wow you made it back before the loud mouth. I'm surprised." Shota says playfully.
"Ha ha Sho. Now where can she put her things?"
Elly wheels up and signs, ~"She can put them in my room."~
"Aww thanks my scorpius light."
Elly smiles and holds her hands out for a suitcase.
"You wanna take one?" Vanny asks.
~"Yes I can carry one"~
"Ok. Here then." She gives a lighter suitcase to her and follows her to her room.
Right as they come back Hizashi kicks the door.
Nemuri goes to the door and opens it to show Hizashi with his hands full and a bag in his mouth.
"Really Hizashi, you couldn't have called for help?"
He just shrugs and looks down then back to her asking for help and she shakes her head and takes some bags.
"Thank you Nem."
"Sure thing idiot." She says ruffling his hair.
After everyone got settled and started eating Vanny said,
"You know you guys never actually said how you broke your leg."
Elly, Todoroki, and Tenya all look at each other and Shota hangs his head.
~"Tenya, it might be best if you explain."~
"Are you sure Elly?" He asks.
She nods.
And so Tenya explains the situation to Vanny with Shota on the verge of tears wishing he could've done something, anything to stop it.
"So, you're telling me, that the number 1 hero, works at the school and he paired up a kid with not only an explosive quirk but an explosive personality with my sister…?"
"Ummm… yes, to sum it up."
"How did he become the number 1 hero?"
"I ask that all the time." Shota says annoyed.
"I hate what he did but he's in a better position than my father who would end up being number one if All Might retires. Which would be bad for everyone…" Shoto says monotonously hiding the true meaning of that last sentence or at least trying.
"So will you be coming to watch the sports festival?" Hizashi asks changing the subject.
"Of course, but how will Elly be attendending?"
"Oh, I already have that figured out. You'll see!"
"Alrighty then?" She says confused.
"Uncle Zashi?" Tenya asks and Hizashi looks at him.
"Yes little listener?"
"Why did you want to-" Suddenly the rest of the question was drowned out as Hizashi's hearing aid died.
Hizashi raises a hand to stop him.
"Sorry my hearing aid just died." He says. Then turns to Shota "Can I borrow your charger? I forgot mine although I do have the case."
~"Yea, yea you know where it is."~ Shota signs.
Hizashi gets up and goes to the living room where the charger is and takes out the charging case for his hearing aids and switches them. When he comes back he says,
"Sorry about that, Tenya. Could you repeat what you asked?"
"Sure. I had asked, why did you want to become a hero in the 1st place? I don't think any of you had told me."
"Oh… umm… " He pauses.
He looks at Shota and Nemuri and the 3 of them all look bitter sweet. Because yes they all wanted to be hero's in the 1st place. But, after an accident in Shota and Hizashi's 2nd year and Nem's 3rd that really pushed them to want to be a hero. And also why Shota became a teacher besides Hizashi, Nemuri, and Nezu's pestering. When he did join Nezu was like another father to him. He already was one to Nemuri and Hizashi. Even Tensei. But he was just waiting for his last pup to accept.
Shota stares at the table trying to not cry.
"Sho..?" Hizashi says noticing.
Shota pushes against the table scooting the chair out hurriedly. "Excuse me." He mumbles quickly and rushes to his room. He locks the door and slides against it down to the floor silently crying.
The kids and Vanny look at each other and then to Hizashi and Nemuri confused and worried.
"I'll go talk to him." Hizashi says.
"No. Let him have a few minutes to calm down Zash. You know he still takes the blame and it hits him the hardest."
"I know Nem. I know. I watched him over train himself ever since that day. I listened to him promise that when he becomes a hero he'll never let that happen again. We both listened and have so far seen him keep his promise that when he became a teacher that he'll never let that happen to the students. The reason why he expels them or sends them to Gen Ed. We both know that's the real reason why he became a teacher and not just to keep us quiet from our pestering."
Shoto is slowly trying to pull the pieces together from the day that his homeroom teacher had a breakdown in front of him and Recovery Girl to now. He's slowly understanding but, he'll never bring it up unless one of the 3 teachers here brings it up 1st. (Or Tensei.)
After a few minutes Nem and Zashi decide to check on Sho.
Nemuri knocks. "Sho sweetheart? Can we come in?" (A/N: So sweet. Also I ship Micnight aka present mic and midnight. So yk Nem's just bein sweet.)
Shota contemplates for a sec then unlocks the door and goes to his bed and curls up.
Hizashi and Nemuri walk in and go to sit on his bed.
"Shota, we understand how you feel but you can't keep blaming yourself. You did everything you could."
"It- it wasn't e-enou-gh N-nemur-ri… I-I c-coul-could-dn't-t-'' He starts hyperventilating, going into a panic attack.
"Shota, sweetheart, can you sit up for me?" She asks and he slowly sits up.
"Alright, good. Now we're gonna go through the breathing exercise, ok Sho?" Hizashi chimes in.
Shota slowly nods.
So they go through the breathing exercise to calm down Shota. And when he calms a bit he start sobbing some and they hug him and he says,
"I-i'm s-sorry! I'm sorry I-I c-could-dn't-t s-save him guys!"
"Shh it's ok Sho we don't blame you. And I know he wouldn't either." Hizashi says.
"B-but-"
"Shota you HAVE to stop putting the blame on yourself. Stop trying to act like you can carry that burden by yourself! You don't get to do that. We have as much of the guilt and burden as you do! So start acting like it and let us help you!" Nemuri says a bit angrily.
Shota sniffles. Elly, Tenya, Shoto, and Vanny stand in the doorway. Shota looks over.
"Come here problem demons." He says taking a tissue from his box on the nightstand and wiping his face.
They slowly come in with Elly being pushed in by Tenya in the front and Shoto lingering in the back next to Vanny.
Nemuri helps Elly up onto the bed and Elly curls up to Shota and Tenya stands next to the bed.
"Why are you two being shy? I'm not gonna break, now come on in." Shota says.
They slowly walk in farther.
"Are you ok uncle?" Tenya asks.
"Yes thank you." Shota says, extending a hand to ruffle Tenya's hair.
Tenya nods.
Elly's tail unwraps from her waist and lazily wags on Shota's leg.
He smiles and pets her head.
"Look I'm- I'm sorry for the freak out… I owe you guys an explanation…"
"No you don't sir." It was Shoto who spoke up and Vanny started to slowly back out.
"I do. And you," He says pointing at Vanny, not taking his eyes off of Shoto. "There's no reason to leave, it's fine."
She looks at him surprised and he looks at her and snorts.
"You people don't learn do you? When I say you can come in and stay I mean it otherwise I'd have kicked you out already." He says not only directing those words to Vanny but also, Shoto.
"Anyways… The reason behind the freak out was because-" He pauses and takes a deep breath and at this Elly sits up. "Back when me, Hizashi and Tensei were your guy's age, we had another best friend shortly before we met Nemuri since she was a 2nd year we didn't meet her until the year after." He says slightly reminiscing. "His name was Oboro Shirakumo…" Shota says slowly. Elly can hear his heart thumping in his chest clearly in her ears due to her quirk it makes her senses heightened. "Oboro was the one who helped me gain confidence to be a hero. I never really thought I was cut out to be one.
"But he sure did keep nagging you bout it!" Hizashi half heartedly laughs. Shota nodded at this. "Remember what he said,"
"We can be heroes together and save everyone. Starting with a single cat." They both recite.
Shota chuckles a bit.
"Yea well I took that cat home." Nemuri states with a smile.
"I fed it proper cat food because Hizashi and Oboro kept trying to feed the poor kitten human food!"
"Hey! At least it was sushi! And plus why'd you have cat food with you anyhow?" Hizashi defends and asks.
Shota shrugs. "You never know."
All of them laugh a bit.
"But, umm… anyways… in our 2nd and Nem's 3rd year, we were attacked by a villain."
"Oh, yes Tensei told me about that. The villain was Garvey right?" Tenya speaks up.
Nemuri nodded sadly.
"And during that attack Oboro had gotten hit by some ruble and didn't make it…" Shota says while looking like he's thinking hard. "But, I promise, I promise I heard his voice cheering me on. I had been so proud. When it was all over I asked Nem how he was doing and when she didn't answer me… I-I kn-new… I-I s-still don't un-unders-stan-nd how I h-hear-red h-him…" He says his voice breaking again.
Nemuri holds his hand and rubs it. Elly and Tenya hug him.
Later after they've all finished dinner Shota is doing the dishes and Elly is placing them on the drying rack and Ten is collecting them with Shoto as Hizashi and Nemuri talk and Vanny is kinda awkwardly standing there.
"Hey Elly…" Vanny says quietly but thanks to Elly's quirk she can hear quiet sounds at least 6 feet away.
"Yea Vanny?"
"I need to talk to tell you something." Vanny said a bit louder as Shota rinses a plate and about to hand it off.
"Ok." she says as she takes the next plate but before she could reach the drying rack the plate fell out of her hands from the shock of Vanny mumbling something but luckily, Tenya raced over and caught it in time before it shattered on the floor. As everyone looks at her.
"You ok problem child..?" Shota asks.
She just sits there staring at Vanessa as her sister stares at the ground.
"Hon?" Nemuri calls.
"W-what did you sa-ay V-van-ess-sa…? I-I don't th-think-k I hear-rd c-corr-ect-tly..?" She questions her older sister while using her full first name and everyone's shocked.
"U-umm…" She stutters and plays with her hair. "Y-you're g-goin-ng t-to b-be a-an a-aun-nt-t…" She mutters to where only Elly heard.
Elly stands up and starts to waiver on her feet but Shota and Tenya support her.
"Wh-what?!" She says surprised.
"D-don't m-make me re-repete it…" Vanessa says softly.
"Vanessa~..." Elly says sternly and it surprises everyone.
"Y-yes..?
"Problem child calm down." Shota also says sternly. "What's going on?"
She doesn't answer with a scowl on her face that doesn't look right on her.
"Look I understand that it may not be my problem but it becomes one if someone's getting hurt."
She ignores him as she stares at Vanessa and asks, "How long?"
"Since the day I told you I was coming…" She glances at her little sister and plays with her hair.
"Umm… What's going on…?" Hizashi whispers to no one in particular.
"When?"
"..." She doesn't say nothing knowing that Elly would be madder but also know's she'll also be madder if she doesn't say anything.
"Vanessa when?!" She says, raising her voice, making some flinch.
"I-it'll be D-dec-cemb-ber…"
"WHAT?! YOUR 18! BARELY! YOU'RE ALWAYS TELLING ME NOT TO DO STUPID THINGS BUT YOU LITERALLY GOT YOURSELF PREGNANT!" Everyone flinched that time Vanny even took a few steps back hitting her back against the wall slightly.
"Wait what..?" Nemuri says. "That means that you were 17 when you got pregnant."
"..." Everyone's silent.
"Sit down." Elly says with her eyes closed although you can still see the anger and hear it.
"Elly, you 👋 should calm 👋 down! 👋 " Tenya says while doing his chopping motions.
"I said SIT DOWN! ALL OF YOU!" They all get a look of terror to one extent or another as they all find a seat and she already sat back down in her wheelchair. Her claws are out and her teeth are bared.
Shota uses his quirk on her.
"Give me. My quirks. Back!"
"Not until you're calm and rational." He says stoically after recovering slightly from the shock/terror.
"Vanessa, who is the father..?" Elly says slightly calmer which calms everyone else although they're still keeping their guards up.
"V-vin-nce…"
"Does he know?" Vanny shakes her head. "That's why you didn't bring him, isn't it?"
"N-No… He was actually busy. But I wanted to tell you before I told him so when my work told me I could take a vacation now rather than later I decided that I was gonna tell you first. Then I planned on telling Vincent when we videoed him…"
Elly nods.
"Do they know about your quirks?"
"Mostly… except the last."
"Last?" Iida asks. "Are you implying you have 3 quirks?"
She chuckles. "Yes actually."
"WHAT?!" They all say.
"Shoto would you be so kind as to make something from your ice? And could I have my quirks back?" She asks that last to Shota who obliges.
He looks at her confused but makes a semi large ice cube.
"You see, my third quirk lets me create water." She says while creating it. " I can also store it," she puts it away. "And manipulate any form of water to do what I want. I just can't turn it into ice or gas.
She extends her left hand as the ice turns into water particles and she turns it into a water bubble between her hands. Everyone but Vanny looks amazed of some sort. She then looks at Shoto who freezes it into a flower clown and places it on her head.
"That's neat kiddie!"
"Nem's right little listener!"
"They're right but, I wish you would've told me so I can help you train that quirk as well. No good hero is a one-trick pony." (A/N: I feel proud for remembering that from the Shota Aizawa quotes I looked up months ago.)
"I don't really use it that often. Not really a need for it to be honest. My Neko-Okami quirk is constantly on along with my Paranorma. That's the only quirk that I can turn on and off."
"Even if you don't you still need to train it since it can become weak and if there ever is a time you need it you won't be able to use it properly or at all. What's the quirk's name?"
"Hydro. It's simple and straight to the point."
"Oh, that explains the other bit of your hero name." Nemuri comments.
"Mhm. Can we call Vince and introduce him to everyone now?!" She says excitedly.
"Uh y-yea su-re…" Vanny says nervously. She's still a bit scared of her sister because although it's rare for her to be mad it's scary when she is and usually lasts about a day or 2.
She pulls out her phone looking for Vincent's number as she thinks, "I'll have to let the others know later that she's still mad and be careful…" She finds it and hits dial.
*Calling 💛Vincent (Vince) 🐇*
Back in America 14 hours earlier Vincent's phone rings. He wakes up groaning.
"Ugh! What time is it and who's calling?"
He looks at the clock to read 5:00 A.M. Then he looks at his phone.
*❤️ Vanessa (Nessa) 🐇 Calling*
"Oh, it's Nessa." He rolls on his back and stretches his arm and clicks the accept button and turns on the speaker not realizing it's a video call.
*"Hey Vince! Did I wake you?"*
*"Yea but it's fine I would've had to wake up soon anyhow."*
*"Oh sorry. But I have a surprise that wants to see you~!"*
*"Huh?"* He looks over to see it's a video call. *"Oh, we're on video…"*
*"Yep."* She chuckles.
*"So what's the surprise?"*
And at that question Elly comes into view.
*"Hi Vince!"*
*"Oh, hey kiddo."* He smiles more. *"Wassup?"*
*"Well for starters I have a new family."*
*"Care to elaborate on that little Okami?"*
She then explains everything.
*"Oh I'm sorry girls…"*
"Th-thanks Vince…" Nessa says.
*~"Do you wanna meet them?"~* Elly signs.
*"Sure, just gimme a sec to fix my hair and turn on the light."*
*~"Ok!"~* She signs happily.
After he did that he said;
*"Ok little Okami, I'm ready."*
She nods and takes the phone from her sister and goes up to Shota and Hizashi who were talking.
"Sho," Hizashi says and Shota looks at him. "I think she wants to introduce you."
"Oh. Sorry Elly, got caught up."
"It's fine. Anyways this is Vincent! Vincent, this is my new dad Shota Aizawa!"
*"Nice to meet you. Wait, aren't you Eraserhead?"*
*"Yes I am. You figured it out quicker than your girlfriend."*
Vincent laughs. *"Well Elly always talks about all heroes and I'm kinda into heroes as well."*
*"Not surprised. She's a lot like my number 18 problem child. And before you get the wrong idea I'm a teacher and I've numbered them by desk arrangements."*
*"Ah, makes sense."*
*"Ok, next is Uncle Zashi! He's one of dad's best friends. His real name is Hizashi Yamada!"*
*"Hello!"* Zashi shouts.
"Hizashi what have I told you about shouting?" Shota questions irritably.
Hizashi shrugs.
*"Hello to you also Hizashi-San."* Vincent says.
*"No need for formalities! Just call me Hizashi!"*
*"Alright then."*
*"Also I'm guessing your Present Mic?"*
*"Yep! That's right, listener!"*
*"Next is Auntie Nem! Her full name is Nemuri Kayama!"*
*"Nice to meet you Vincent.*"
*"And you as well. You must be Midnight."*
*"That's me. Wow you catch on really fast!"*
*"Thanks."*
"Ok now cousin Ten! His real name is Tenya Iida!"*
*"Hello. Nice to 👋 meet you! 👋 "* Tenya says while chopping the air.
*"You too. Isn't your brother Tensei Iida aka Ingenium?"*
*"Yes…"*
*"I'm sorry about what happened."*
*"Thank you."*
*"And last but not least… Shoto Todoroki.*"
*"Oh, I'm sorry for you."*
Shoto gives him a bit of a confused look."*
*"Because your father is flaming garbage?"*
*"Ah, yes thank you. I'm sorry for me too."*
*"And umm… don't get mad Vince… 👉 👈 "*
*"Why would I be mad..?"* He asks suspiciously and raises an eyebrow.
*"Erm…" She says fidgeting with her necklace. She looks at Shoto.
"You want me to explain?" He whispers.
She nods.
*"I'm her boyfriend."* He says casually and kisses her head.
*"Are you now?"* Vincent says challengingly.
*"I wouldn't worry about problem child number 15. He's a good kid."* Shota says.
*"Hmm… Fine. But if he hurts my sister in any way I won't hesitate to hunt him down and make him pay~!"* Vincent says with a twitch in his eye.
*"Vincent~!"* Elly whines.
*"I promise I'll take good care of her."* Shoto says.
*"You better."*
"Vanessa~, don't you have something to tell Vincent?"
"Why did she say her full name? Is she mad? What does Vanessa have to tell me?" Vincent thinks.
*"Ermmm…"*
"Vanessa, if you don't tell him I will~."
"Ok, ok. Please calm down!"
The others all think "Welp it's clear she's still mad…"
*"Nessa what's going on?"*
She sighs. She puts herself on mute and turns the camera off.
"I don't know how to tell him!
"Aww there's a million ways kiddo!" Nem says.
"I-I-..."
"Hey I got an idea! You can make it a guessing game!" Hizashi says.
"Hmm you actually might have a good idea for once Zash."
"Ouch Sho!"
"Not my fault that it's true you're an idiot. Right Nem."
Nemuri laughs.
"Why you bully meee~!"
"Anyways uncle Zashi does have a good idea."
"I don't care how you do it, just do it." Elly says a bit scarily.
"Snowflake, could you calm down please?"
"Make me." She mumbles angrily.
"Would you like a repeat of the frappuccino incident."
She looks shocked then gets into a fluster as her face goes red and she hides it.
"What happened that involved a frap?" Vanny asks.
Shoto smirks. "Should I tell her or do you want to?"
Shota smiles.
"Umm, n-neith-ther p-plea-ase." Elly comments flusters.
"Mmm, so I guess I'll tell her then."
So Shoto explains.
"Better not tell that to Vince. Haha."
"Speaking of which he's still on the phone." Tenya points out.
"Aha, right~ thanks, Tenya." she chuckles nervously.
She unmutes herself and shows the screen again.
*"Is everything ok Nessa?"*
*"Yea Vince. But we're gonna play a guessing game."*
*"Umm k?"*

So after playing the guessing game for a bit Vince finally gets a clue that strikes him and he realizes.
*"Wait- what?! I don't think I understood that correctly."*
*"Y-you di-id V-vinc-cent-t"*
*"S-so basically you're telling me- that I'm going to be a dad?"* He says with a shocked and confused look.
*"M-hm-m…"*
*"I-I- That's great Vanessa! Why didn't you tell me in person?!"*
*"I was scared. A-and- When I found out the day the job told me I could have vacation time early is the day I found out. And I wanted to tell Elly first, even if you are the father I just didn't have the courage to tell you face to face- er technically in person. S-sorry Vincent…"*
*"It's fine love."* He says in a thick British accent.
*"VINCENT~! Why must you do that to me~!"* Vanessa whines.
He laughs. *"Not my fault I'm originally British."*
*"I like it when you do your British voice Vincey!"*
*"Thank you little Okami! Aleast someone appreciates my background."*
"Hmph." Vanny pouts and he chuckles.
*"You're originally from Britain?"* Hizashi asks.
*"Yea. My grandparents moved from Britain to Japan when my 'father'-"* He says doing air quotes. "was a teen or something."*
*"What's with the air quotes?"* Nem asks, tilting her head.
*"Well me and my twin don't get along with our father and have shut him out from our lives although our little sister and brother still keep in contact."*
*"Hopefully I can be a better father than that jerk."* He mumbles.
*"Don't worry Vincey! You'll be a great father! You raised me pretty well when we were together! As long as you don't hurt my sister or niece/nephew in anyway you'll be ok~! She says the first part cheerily and then she adds a creepy tone to the last sentence that makes him even have a terrified look.
*"Y-yes ma'am!"* He smiles sheepishly.
The others minus Vanny all think "Even he's scared of her?!"
*"Good!"* She smiles innocently. Then puts her arms out to Shoto in a way of wanting a hug.
He hugs her and she smiles more.
"You good?" Shoto asks in a quiet tone.
She nods.
