Chara stood in the kitchen of her house in the outskirts of London washing the dishes. Sometimes she did things like this the muggle way to get some rest from her otherwise hectic and chaotic everyday life. She enjoyed the peace and quiet that prevailed in the house at the moment. It was a wonderful summer day at the end of August and the sun shone through the kitchen window. To Chara's chagrin, however, the silence was shattered by a loud scream from the living room. She sighed, drew her wand from the back pocket of her jeans and enchanted the dishes with it so it washed itself. Then she put her rings back on, which she had taken off before so that they wouldn't get lost in the rinse water. She left the kitchen and entered the adjoining living room. The walls here were painted in a light beige tone and there were pictures she had painted on them. On the fireplace stood pictures of Chara's family. Chara smiled as she bend over the crib which stood in the middle of the room. Inside lay a little girl screaming at the top of her lungs, her hair as red as her face. "Shh", said Chara and gently ran her hand over the girl's cheek. The little one blinked her eyes open and the screaming stopped immediately. "Haha you just wanted some attention didn't you?" Chara laughed and lifted the almost six month old girl out of the crib. The little one made a happy gurgling sound and her hair turned brown. Chara smiled and kissed her on the forehead. "What do you think shall we look what Daddy is doing?" Chara asked. The girl blinked and put her fist into her mouth. Chara shook her head, even though her daughter had been a surprise for her she would not give her up for anything in the world. With the girl on her arms Chara went through the living room and the hallway to stepped out of the back door. The sun blinded her a little bit and she raised her hand which wasn't holding her daughter to protect her eyes from the light. Her husband stood with his back to her in front of the swing he had build for the boys the last summer. Chara smiled as she saw both of them sitting on the swing laughing and asked their father to push them harder. Chara sat on the steps who led to the porch. Involuntary she thought about how she had told Ted that she was pregnant. For some reason she had been afraid of his reaction and postponed it as long as she could and after he had asked her on Christmas if she wanted to marry him she had admitted it to him. He had just beamed and insisted they got married before the baby was born. That was the reason why she was heavily pregnant on their wedding picture which stood on their fireplace, then just a few hours after the picture was taken the boys were born. She hadn't knew that she was expecting twins and so the stress or excitement of the wedding had caused her placenta to detach. Because of this the younger one of their boys still had breathing troubles and that's why they haven't wanted any more children for a long time. But when Chara became pregnant again last year, she had immediately told Ted and he had been a great support to her, especially because she had spent most of the pregnancy in bed and could not take care of the seven-year-old boys. In the meanwhile, Ted had spotted his wife and left the boys to themselves and sat down beside her on the porch. "Well how are my favorite girls doing?" he asked, wrapped his arm around Chara and stroked his daughter's cheek with his other hand. "Good, Dora felt a little bit lonely", Chara said and looked at Ted. He smiled at her and his eyes twinkled. In his mid-thirties, he fortunately only wore his hair in bright colours when he wanted to entertain his children, otherwise he had got into the habit of wearing it darker, as it was at the moment in a blue that almost seemed black. "Just like her mother. Always wants to be the center of attention too," Ted laughed and Chara gave him a mock angry look. "Dad!" Ted looked up and the older one of the two boys came running forwards him. "You promised to play with us", the little one said and pulled impatiently at the hand of his father. "Sirius", Ted said calmly. "You've promised it", Sirius insisted. Ted looked apologizing at Chara, but she just nodded at him. "Alright. Come here." Ted stood up, grabbed Sirius and tucked to boy under his arm. "Dad!" he screamed laughing. Chara smiled, shook her head and turned her attention back to Dora. "Mum?" she heard the voice of er second born, she looked up and looked straight into the gray eyes of her son. "Yeah?" "Can I sit with you and Dora?" the boy asked. "Don't you want to play with Dad and Sirius, Remus?" Chara wanted to know. Remus shook his head. "Siri is always so brutal", he said. "Alright come here", Chara said and Remus sat down where his father had been sitting shortly before. Chara wrapped her arm around him and kissed his head. While he occupied himself with Dora, witch Chara held with her other hand, Chara watched how Ted chased Sirius through the garden. Chara smiled even tough her husband and her three children made her life hectic she couldn't imagine life without them and she was glad that she had let Ted sit with her in the compartment back then in the Hogwarts Express. She wouldn't change anything about her family and she couldn't wait to see what would happen next.
