A/N: Happy Valentine's Day. So many apologies owed to those following this story. One, I thought I had posted this chapter two years ago and two, it's been two years since I have really looked at this story.
That hospital show has sucked and I have not had any motivation to continue but I started reading Chuck fanfiction again and one of the authors started adding to a story they had stopped updating seven years before so I guess two years isn't that bad in comparison.
I had issues with diabetes complications and am dealing with blurry vision so makes it hard to write sometimes.
I might be awhile before I update again because I want to read through everything to cover what holes I may need to fill again. I will try to not make it too long a wait if anyone is still interested.
Chapter 28
Sam and Drew's house
Drew grabbed Sam as she went to run to the door. "Not so fast." Drew told her as he pulled a pistol from a holster, she didn't know he had on his ankle.
"But Drew…" Sam argued. "It is probably my mom and sisters. That is the protocol at night."
"Let's look to see first." He told her as he pulled his phone out. He pulled up the security camera. He breathed a sigh of relief as he saw it was Alexis, Christina, and Molly with their WSB guards.
"I am going to go let them in." Drew told her.
He quickly exited the panic room and ran through the study to the front door.
"Who is it?" Drew asked, waiting for the pass phrase as he stood to the right of the doorway.
"I am here with your pineapple." Said the WSB agent with exasperation as he rolled his eyes.
The girls had looked at him funny as Drew opened the door.
"Can we stop letting Morgan pick the pass phrases?" The WSB agent complained.
"No," Drew said adamantly. "There silliness is their genius. I know Casey still likes to call him a little gnome, but Morgan thinks outside the box which saves lives."
"Silliness aside," Alexis interrupted as she pushed herself inside. "Why were we picked up and forcedly brought here?"
"You don't want to be with your daughter and grandchildren?" Drew asked teasingly as he gave her a quick hug. He looked down at his phone and tried to call Elizabeth, but she was not answering her phone.
"There is a breach at one of our facilities, so we all have to go on lockdown until it is secure and make sure none of the other locations are hit." Drew explained to her and the girls. "I will take you down to the panic room with Sam and the kids."
Castle
"You get Hannah!" Cole yelled to Forrest. "I will get Hector!"
A few minutes later they were running down a tunnel dragging Hector and Hannah with them. Cole and Forrest pressed their earpieces and Cole asked, "Chuck, where do we go? This part of Castle is new."
"Just keep following until the end." Chuck told him. "Unfortunately, it is almost two miles. Look up and you will see a hatch into our new offices. A couple of WSB agents will be there to help you two get Hector and Hannah set up in their new cells."
"You have prison cells at your new offices?" Cole asked incredulously.
"Of course," Chuck said as if it should have been obvious. "Sarah and Casey insisted on it. Also, don't freak out if you start hearing explosions."
"What is that supposed to mean?" Forrest asked. "Sarah and Casey have been a bad influence on you."
"They have not!" Chuck exclaimed. "This is to block them from following you and keep them in the part of Castle that was under the Buy More. We should be able to get them out later."
"Keep coms open until you are out the other end so we will know if we need to send anyone down to help out." Chuck said to them sternly.
They were all four moving quickly down the tunnel even though Hannah and Hector had no idea what was going on. Hector's eyes were covered up so he couldn't get his bearings to try to escape in the dark.
Hannah was a different story though. She was thinking and putting things together. She was cooperating as she went down the tunnel like she was instructed and thinking about what had happened the last couple of days. She didn't know of many people that would have been able to crack her phone. Her and some other co-workers came up with the idea and development for the software for the security on their phones. She thought of everyone that was in her group at work and none of them would be involved in this. They were too squishy.
Her captors had made a mistake of mentioning some names. Chuck, Sarah and Casey. There was only one time in her life that she had known three people with those names at the same time. Their names had come up during her interrogation. It was too much of a coincidence for them not to be involved.
"How are Chuck and Sarah?" Hannah asked. "I assume they got back together after Chuck and I broke up and I left town for a while."
Cole and Forrest looked at each other in shock knowing they had screwed up.
"Thanks a lot guys," Chuck admonished. "Don't say anything. Just get through the tunnel as quickly as possible and put her in a cell in a different room from Hector. The last thing I need is for those two to compare notes."
Gas Station in Kansas City
"I found their car." Robert told Anna and Peter. Then he said sarcastically. "I guess they just went in to get snacks."
"Hurry and get the tracking device on the car." Anna told him urgently. "They just ordered their lunch, and I am afraid of loosing them in this place. It's huge."
Robert walked around to the back of the older model Crown Victoria. He bent down to put the tracking device under the trunk. Then he heard noise coming from the trunk. He quickly reached into a pocket on his cargo pants and grabbed a tool to pick the lock. He squatted down and had the trunk open in seconds.
He looked down into the trunk and saw a man in a business suit with his arms tied together with duct tape behind his back and duct tape over his mouth. Robert reached up and none to gently yanked the duct tape from his mouth.
"Hey, mate," Robert greeted Jack in his strongest Australian accent with a grin.
"Robert," Jack said desperately. "I know this looks bad, but I know I can get a fortune out of these two, so put the tape back on and pretend you didn't see me."
"There's a problem with that mate," Robert told him. "Sarah and Emma are worried about you and these people have access to a device that can turn you into a different person.
"Robert," Anna called out frantically. "They are paying for their food so finish up what you are doing and get out of there."
"Nice to see you again Jack," Robert told him as he put the duct tape back on his mouth. "I'll let Sarah know where you are and see if she wants me to save your ass again."
He chuckled as he hurried away from the Crown Victoria. He met Anna and Peter on the other side of the store.
He dialed Chuck as he got in the black SUV. The thought occurred to him that maybe they should have gotten a different kind of vehicle. This was too stereotypical government agency car. He was going to suggest they get a new car at the closest town that would have a rental. They could afford to have more space between them since they had the tracker.
School Room in Secret Medical Facility
Chuck had been running to the schoolroom but stopped as he got to the large doorway. He stopped and stared at Sarah. She was so heart stopping beautiful. He was thankful that she had come back after she lost her memories. He had expected her to go back to the CIA and he was sure she almost did.
He couldn't risk her or any of his family to be kidnapped again. If he had lost Sarah, he wouldn't have any of his family and everyone knew it. He just got his father back and he didn't want to risk any of them again.
"Hey there, stranger," Sarah called out to him with just a little annoyance.
"I have some news." Chuck told her knowing she was still a little annoyed with him.
"Did you find Jack?" Emma asked a little too anxiously.
Both women looked at him expectantly as he went to go pick up Stephen from his crib. Rebecca didn't want anything to do with her father right now. She knew Sarah was angry with Chuck and Rebecca picked up on those things.
"Robert found Jack." He told them as he rubbed on Stephen's back. "Problem is he found Jack in the back of Alexandra and Tony's car."
He quickly continued as they both gasped with worry. "He told Robert he was working a con on them and to leave him there. Robert did get a tracker on the car before he left Jack in the trunk. He also asked something surprising though and I didn't have the time to ask him what he meant."
"What was that?" Sarah said with tension in her voice. Emma was feeling the same tension. She was thinking that it might be safer if Jack stayed in the trunk and away from their daughter.
"Robert said to ask you if you wanted him to save Jack's ass again." Chuck told her. "Did you know Robert before?"
"I don't think so." Sarah answered thoughtfully. "Oh, my god…I thought he looked familiar."
"Robert got us out of a jam when I was a young girl." Sarah answered. "I am surprised he recognized me because I didn't go by Sarah then. I don't remember what my name was at that time."
"Honey!" Emma exclaimed and went to Sarah and hugged her. "I wish I would have fought harder for you. I get angry all over again thinking what he put you through."
"Mom," Sarah hugged her mom back. "A judge gave me a choice. I chose to have the life of adventure I thought I would have with Dad instead of a life of rules and having to do my homework. I was a dumb kid. Why would a judge give me that choice? I regretted it many times over the years. It wasn't until I showed up with Mollie on your doorstep that I realized I could have come home at any time. I thought you would be to upset that I chose to go with Dad."
Emma just hugged her tighter. "I wished everyday that you would come home. Your father promised to keep in touch but as I expected he never did. It wasn't until he got out of jail he showed up and apologized."
Chuck didn't want to interrupt a conversation the two women should have had years ago so he started to walk across the large room to see what Rebecca was doing when Sarah stopped him. "Don't bring Stephen over there. Rebecca doesn't want him anywhere near her."
"But why?" Chuck was genuinely confused because Rebecca had always been excited about being a big sister to Stephen.
"He exists." Sarah said dryly. "When you came in here you went directly to him and picked him up. You haven't spent any time with her since we have been here."
He was about to tell her why when Sarah interrupted him and said sternly. "Tell her not me."
Chuck finally understood that Sarah was upset with him because Rebecca was upset with him. He sighed loudly and headed over to Rebecca after handing Stephen over to Sarah. "Let's meet in the cafeteria and enjoy a meal together?"
"Stephen and I will meet you down there." On the way out the door Sarah invited Emma and Molly to join them.
"Hey, Becca," Chuck called out to her as he sat down in one of the gaming chairs. "What's up?"
"Nothing." She continued to sit in the other gaming chair with a controller in her small hands. "Everybody left and I don't know where they all are."
Chuck looked around and noticed all the other kids were gone along with their parents. They were surprisingly alone in the large room.
"I think they will be back." Chuck told her. "There is no reason to be sad."
"This is the first time you have talked to me in forever," Rebecca complained. "And I have nothing to be sad about? Every time I have seen you, you are playing with Stephen. And then you have left again."
"I'm sorry," Chuck said to his daughter. "Every time I came down here you were busy playing with one of the other girls and I didn't want to interrupt you making new friends."
"You still should come over and talk to me." Rebecca pouted. "You could have played Mario Cart with me. I get tired of beating Uncle Morgan all the time. And you know Mommy doesn't know anything about games." She finished in a huff.
Chuck laughed as he reached over and picked her up and kissed her on the top of her blonde curly haired head. "You are correct baby girl. I will from now on. I'm trying to spend as much time working so we can go back home."
He left the large school room and headed toward the cafeteria with her. "Let's go have something to eat with Mommy, Stephen, GG and Molly. I bet that is where everyone else has gotten too."
Then he asked her, "How about we play Mario Cart after dinner?"
"That is the bestest idea ever!" The four-year-old exclaimed. Chuck was thankful that they had been able to celebrate her birthday before all hell broke loose.
Cafeteria in Secret Medical Facility
Chuck was correct. Everyone was eating in the small cafeteria. He needed to check in on Mama Bolonia. He had been so preoccupied with this case he hadn't left the conference room very much since they had set up in there. He decided to check in with people around the room. Rebecca had a strong grasp on his neck, so he didn't try to put her down next to Sarah when he made his way to his wife and other family. His Mom and Dad had joined them.
He pulled out his phone to send a quick text to Frisco and Jake. He looked over at his beautiful wife and decided it was time for him to take the night off. It was past time for him and Sarah to have some alone adult time after he makes up some play time with his daughter.
Several hours later
"These hospital beds are really not made for this," Chuck commented still out of breath. "But I guess its more comfortable than the supply closet."
"I only have vague memories of our times in the supply closet." Sarah laughed as she was trying to catch her breath. She was comfortable right where she was though. Her head on his chest listening to his heart beating. "I do have a clear memory of finding you in Thailand in a hut, laying on a gurney, hooked up to a bunch of wires. I vividly remember begging you to wake up and to come back to me. I also remember telling you that I wanted to marry you."
"That is the first memory I got back and that convinced me to go back to you." Sarah could feel the tears running down her face. They both sat up looking at each other intently. Then she continued, "A few days after I came back to you, I started remembering you and Casey telling me about how you two invaded Russia to get the Omen virus antidote from Vivian to save my life. Alexei Volkoff and his daughter caused a lot of problems."
"Sarah," Chuck hugged Sarah tightly to him. "He also gave us a ton of money for a wedding gift. We have been to hell and back for and with each other. We will get through this."
"We were supposed to be done with this life before we started having children." Sarah sighed. "I'm scared for our family, especially my Dad. We almost lost Rebecca when we started looking into what happened to Drew."
"But we didn't." Chuck told her as he pulled her closer to him. "She is safely in with your Mom for the night."
"We should get some sleep," He told her as he pulled her down to lay on top of him in the small bed. She needed a distraction. "You can call Robert tomorrow and get an update on your Dad. Then we need to figure out what to do about Hector and Hannah. Cole and Forrest said our names while they were evacuating Castle. We should have come up with code names."
"Like you said," Sarah sat up and grinding against Chuck's groin. "We will deal with that tomorrow. We will make sure we build a strong case against them, so they go to jail and we make sure they stay there this time."
"Yes," Chuck groaned as he thrusts inside her. "I'm way to busy right now making up time with my wife."
Next morning, Port Charles, Sam & Drew's house
Alexis, Molly and Kristina stayed the night and had a sleep over to the delight of Danny.
Drew and Sam were up early enjoying some alone time before the shit hit the fan. The next few days would hopefully go as planned so everyone could get on with their lives without fear.
Sam giggled as she felt Drew's whiskers tickle her thighs then moving up to her stomach. Her giggles turned into moans as he sucked her nipple into his mouth.
Before she could lose all reasonable thought, she asked. "Do we really have time for this?"
"Making time," is all he said as he continued to kiss her breasts then moving to her neck. He stopped all the sudden and looked deeply in her beautiful brown eyes. "The press release about Alan already went out for this morning's edition. Alexandria and Tony are on their way here. Even though it may seem we have everything covered, anything could go wrong."
"Then let's not waste any time." Sam told him as she pulled him in for a deep kiss.
She pulled away from him only long enough to take off the Navy t-shirt she had gotten out of his boxes from his old apartment. While going back to kissing him, she ran her hands down his chest and stopped at his nipples. He gasped when he felt her pinch them. She knew that was a hot spot for him, so she wasn't surprised when he flipped her onto her back and plunged inside her.
