Superman tapped his fingers against the cover of the book impatiently. An uncharacteristic frown was present on his face as his eyes continuously darted to the door near them.

"It's been close to two hours!" He said angrily. "Do they have no self control?"

Diana, who was sporting a similar look, shook her head. "Apparently not."

"This is all somebody's fault." Red Arrow said also tired of the wait. Without the two blonds, the book wouldn't open and he wanted to continue already.

Not wanting things to escalate, Batman took control of the situation. "We get it, they're insatiable. But we need to stop pointing fingers, finger pointing gets us nowhere…Oliver." He said after a moment's pause.

Amidst their conversation, they were forced to shield their eyes as a bright light enveloped the room. When it died down, the readers were surprised to see two other familiar faces among them.

"Kara, Raven?" Superman asked. "What are you doing here? How did you get here?"

His cousin shrugged her shoulders and looked around the room, idly wondering why Green Arrow was tied to a chair while the others weren't. Ignoring that for the time being, she turned back to her cousin.

"Not sure. I was at home getting ready for a nap and next thing I know, I'm here."

All eyes turned to the pale skinned woman next to her. "Same." She said simply.

"So what's…" Kara started only to stop and bring a hand up to her head. Raven did as well, at the same time, the events of the previous chapters were seemingly dumped into their heads in an effort to catch them up.

"Canary is really in there getting fu…" Kara paused at the look from her cousin. "Having sex with Naruto? Sorry man." She said to the still tied up Oliver.

"Wouldn't let that happen to me though." She said as she took her seat on the newly conjured chairs.

Finally, the door opened and a frazzled looking Canary and Naruto stepped out, slowly crossing by everyone.

"Sorry about that everyone." Naruto apologized. "Oh, we have new people. I'm Naruto."

"We know who you are." Raven stated.

Feeling a bit unnerved by the blank stare, he coughed into his hand and motioned for superman to begin. The man shook his head but quickly opened the book.

The air above ground level Gotham smelled cleaner than it did on the ground. It was probably why the vigilantes spent more time on rooftops than they did on the ground. At least, that was what Catwoman thought as she jumped from one rooftop to another, performing the occasional flip in mid air and landing with a bit of flair. Normally, she'd be a bit more cautious but there was a lot of light in this area. Something the multiple neon lights on many buildings could be thanked for.

The familiar sounds of sirens in the distance and the faint sounds of gunshots filled her ears and she instinctively turned in it's direction. Probably that event center where Hezekiah Fry's son was having his wedding. She'd been intending to go there herself and relieve a few people of their costly possessions but life forced her to have a change of plans.

"How does someone talk about robbing people as if it were just something casual?" Superman asked with a sigh.

"To be fair when you do it that much it probably does become another chore." Kara said before looking at Batman. "Why does she do it?"

Unsurprisingly, the man just stared back at her without uttering a word.

"She's not like that anymore." He eventually said. "She's changed."

Red Arrow looked at the other guys. "I've heard that before. Get ready to hit the gym bats."

Crossing the gap between another two buildings and landing on the roof, ignoring the surprised cries of the two burglars who'd noticed her landing right behind them. As they charged at her, she swiftly took out her whip and wrapped it around the neck of one and pulled him towards her while dodging a blow from the other and sweeping his legs out from under him.

As the first got pulled within her arm's reach, she grabbed him by the head and kneed him in the face. She felt bone give way and the man crumpled to the ground, unconscious. Turning to the other who was about to get up, she kicked him in the head, knocking him out as well and coiled her whip to place it back on her belt.

"A whip?" Naruto asked, somewhat impressed. "Don't think I've ever faced a whip user."

"That's what you got from this?" Superman asked blankly. "Nothing about her bashing a man's face in or kicking someone's head?"

Naruto shrugged. "They were burglars. If they hadn't been up to no good this wouldn't have happened would it?"

"But…" the man of steel began only to be stopped by his cousin.

"No no he's got a point."

Glancing up at the sky, she frowned at the bat signal that illuminated the clouds even further. She and Batman had been going through a rough patch in their unique relationship and they were both at fault. Batman seemed to grow more and more distant with each meeting and it irritated her. Something she always brought up whenever they met.

Knowing the bastard, he'd probably grown bored of her and was now seeing someone else. She wouldn't be surprised if it was a member of the League. She did remember seeing that magician giving him strange looks one time. Or maybe it was the Amazon. She didn't expect or want him to settle with her but she wanted at least some commitment until they both decided they didn't want to have sex with each other anymore.

"Relationships with criminals are fine but coworkers are where you draw the line?" Diana asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Does seem kinda backwards." Red Arrow piled on.

Batman gave Superman a look which the man knew meant keep reading.

She landed on another building, clutching her whip as a means of consoling herself. Her mind briefly flashed back to her days as a dominatrix.

Many men had liked it when she put up a show with her whip before she lashed them, it had been after one of such performances that she'd met Bruce who'd just pushed Holly away. In truth, she'd attacked him. A few days later, he found her and came to apologize for cracking her across the jaw, knocking her out almost instantly. She hadn't accepted his apology then.

A few months later, she'd been intercepted by Batman after a successful heist, they'd fought a bit, she'd tried to escape by distracting him and making a suicidal jump. What she hadn't been expecting was for him to jump after her. That was what had started whatever it was their relationship was. It had become strained when she'd found out he was Bruce Wayne after the incident with Bane. They had never really gone back to the way they were afterwards. It was more of her fault than his actually.

"She's surprised that a hero would jump after her following a suicidal jump?" Naruto questioned. Wouldn't anyone?

Canary exhaled remembering he wasn't from their world so he wouldn't quite know about Gotham.

"People in Gotham aren't exactly too…loving toward each other." She said as carefully as she could.

"So it's like a free for all out there?" He asked.

Diana nodded. "Usually the civilians are caught in between"

Damn. That really sucked. At least back home the civilians were usually kept out of the shinobi affairs. Except during the sound invasion. Or when pain attacked. Or during the war.

Slightly shaking her head to clear her thoughts as well as she could, she jumped off the building, using her whip to latch onto a pole and swing across the large gap between herself and the next rooftop. She had more things to worry about than a man losing interest in her, like Holly.

And this job she was going for.

Catwoman grunted as she miscalculated her landing position, consequently landing on a railing and nearly falling over. She didn't consider herself a superstitious person but nearly landing on anything other than her feet usually felt like a bad omen to her. It was like the universe was telling her to get her head out of the clouds and focus on where she was going.

"Really doubt the universe wants her to focus on the robbery she's about to commit." Kara stated with a shake of her head.

Naruto agreed with that sentiment. If anything it was probably telling her not to do it, but something told him the woman wouldn't look at it that way.

"She has her priorities messed up. That's all." Batman said in an attempt to defend the woman with whom he had an on again off again relationship.

"Yeah and Raven is only a little quiet." Red Arrow replied.

Steadying herself, she brought out her phone and took another look at the map she'd been sent before staring at the buildings around her, trying to use her knowledge to locate the house she was searching for and hoping she hadn't passed it ten minutes ago. She just wanted to get this done so she could wipe her hands clean of this and hope nobody her victim didn't figure out she'd been the culprit.

Batman hadn't been wrong when he'd told her that her lifestyle would lead to her biting off more than she could chew. How was she to know that the obsidian, ruby eyed sculpture she'd heard about being put in place for a housewarming party belonged to a major official in some hush hush government sector? She sure didn't and her ignorance had come to bite her in the ass when she'd been tranquilized the same night and woke up in a shadowed room with the owner staring at her.

"It was bound to happen sooner or later." Canary shrugged. "That kind of stuff doesn't happen to the world class criminals."

"Like me and Deathstroke in the last chapter right?" Naruto asked, hoping the blond would stroke his ego. She'd already stroked something else so why not this too?

Canary glanced at everyone with pleading eyes. Fortunately, Superman being the great man he was, took pity on her.

"He thinks he's on the team." The man childishly replied.

"He tried to sneak himself in there like we wouldn't notice." Batman added. Even though he wasn't smiling, everyone could detect the humor in his tone.

Naruto stared blankly at them as they continued naming off brand versions of Deathstroke that he supposedly fit in with. Once they made it back to their world he'd show them.

Apparently, he'd made sure all the information that reached her about the sculpture had been doctored to make it all the more tempting and the numerous traps and safety measures were all to test her. What she thought had been her own planned burglary had simply been one large assessment test she had unwittingly taken and passed with flying colours.

And she'd been blackmailed. He'd threatened to press charges for both her undiscovered crimes as well as her current one. She hated to admit it but against someone like him, she had no way of winning such a case even with Batman's assistance. At best, she'd be tossed in jail for decades and Holly would be taken out of her custody. Unless she did something for him.

Superman felt some sympathy for the woman. It was still her fault, her actions had caused this but it was in his nature to feel bad for some people. Not people like Darkseid or Sinestro, if something bad happened to them he wouldn't lose a wink of sleep.

"So she's doing this to provide for her child?" Naruto wondered out loud. "I suppose I can see where she's coming from."

"Or she can get a job." Raven replied stoically.

Red Arrow nodded vehemently. "That woman should be flipping burgers"

Catwoman sighed as she spotted the house she was searching for and began a swift journey towards it, ignoring the feeling in her stomach that something would go wrong. Most of her apprehension wasn't because of the act of theft but rather who she'd be robbing.

Graham 'Law' James. That was the name of the owner of the targeted home. A metahuman known by a select few in the underworld, he was suspected for acts of terrorism in Washington, involvement in the assault on Arkham Asylum by a group of criminals and the attempted murder of Edward Nygma. If what she'd been told was true, he had taken some things related to the 'Task Force X' and 'Project Rebirth' program as well as some other things she had no desire to know.

She had no idea what they all were but she knew that he knew that they knew he had been the culprit and they'd been waging a silent war for the better part of the year. He'd killed every assassin they'd sent after him and they couldn't make any legal moves against him as he held them hostage via what he'd taken. She didn't know much about it and didn't want to know any more. The less she knew, the less likely she was to get further roped into this conflict.

"This doesn't sound right." Superman said with a frown.

"Yeah, why send a thief after him when trained assassins couldn't get the job done?" Naruto added.

Ignoring the pit in his stomach, Batman answered. "She's not there to kill him. Just retrieve what he took."

The others weren't so sure I was that simple, they even knew the dark knight was aware. With how the chapters were going they just knew I would end with Catwoman on her back with her legs spread.

The question was how the bat would handle it.

As she neared the roof, she scowled at the realization that there was no skylight meaning she had no way of entering the house without either going in through a second floor window or the ground.

"Why the hell doesn't he have a skylight?" Catwoman muttered irritably. "Nearly every house in Gotham has one but this guy says he's got to be a pain in the ass and deviate from the norm."

Skylights were something of a necessary thing in Gotham these days. On top of providing slightly cleaner air and an additional exit in the event of your building being put up in flames or flooded or invaded as an effect of the numerous fights between superhumans, criminals and superheroes that took place. Apparently, this guy didn't feel there was a need for it.

"I just thought of something, do you guys have insurance for things like this?" Naruto asked, looking at the man of steel.

"What do you mean?" He replied.

Naruto scratched his head and tried to get the words out in a way that made sense. "Like, fights are common in your world right?"

"You mean between meta's?" Red Arrow asked.

The blond nodded. "I mean I can't imagine just waking up to the sound of Superman fighting a villain, walking outside and just seeing him throw my car through a building in an attempt to hit his target."

"And still miss." Raven said.

"And still miss. I don't know if your people are used to it but I'd be mad."

Batman pinched the bridge of his nose. That had been an issue plaguing the world since the creation of the league. As such certain measures were implemented to help in the event of collateral damage.

The government being the government though made the price outlandish and as such only a few select had it.

"It's there, just inaccessible to a lot of people." He replied. "Being a member of the league includes it as part of a benefits package however."

Sighing, she put on her goggles and switched its sight settings to infrared. Noticing the lack of a humanoid heat signature, her mood went up. Maybe her employers had chosen to make her job easier and find a means of causing James to leave his home. But then again, there were materials which when worn, rendered a person invisible to infrared vision. She just hoped he didn't have one of those.

'From the faint vibrations I'm picking up on the floor, he's probably planted motion sensors across the compound. From the field, I'd say it's of the twenty meter sort.' She noted. The ground was out of the options then. She didn't have the equipment to shut down motion sensors. Taking care to carefully scan the roof and walls, she noted with slight satisfaction that outside of four 'O-7 type' cameras, there were no other security measures.

She reached for a case she'd attached to her belt for a spool of metal thread and a zipline mechanism which she quickly assembled and locked on the edge of the roof she was on before swiftly firing at a part of the wall a quarter of a meter below the bottom of the window. Of course, she had no plans to actually zipline down. It was the tightrope method she was planning to use and she'd have to crouch still in order to open the window without being potentially seen.

Batman leaned forward in his seat. This wasn't an event that had happened in their universe as far as he knew. Even if this was a different Selina, he still hoped no ill will would come her way. She was a professional, but there were others out there that could easily kill her.

"What if Naruto is already in the house?" Diana wondered. "We haven't seen him yet, but he's certainly going to be a big part of the story."

"My money says he's either a thief taking the same job, or her employer looking to screw her." Kara pitched in.

Superman gave her a disapproving look which was easily shrugged off. He didn't want to sit through another chapter of filth, especially since he was the one reading this time.

Climbing on the taut line and giving it a few test jumps to be sure it wouldn't give way in the middle of her path, Catwoman quickly traversed the distance between both ends of the line. As she approached the other end, she began to analyse the structure of the window frame. There was no way to open it from the outside except by making a hole in the glass.

She just prayed it wasn't the window to his bedroom. Although given his dealings, someone like him would stay on the ground floor instead.

As she reached the window, she gave the glass a good look and feel and taking note of the slight whitish grains in it, she ran it's appearance through her mental list of glass types and held back a groan as she figured out what it was.

Naruto was impressed with what he'd seen so far. This woman clearly wasn't the average theif. She was smart and thought things out down to minute details. Her target had been carefully studied.

"Things seem to be going too smoothly." Raven commented. "Usually that means someone's luck is about to run out."

Red Arrow frowned. He wasn't too familiar with Raven but he knew enough to know she wasn't all rainbows and sunshine. But why couldn't she be optimistic like the rest of them?

"You gotta be a glass half full kinda person Raven. Life will be a lot more enjoyable." He told her.

Raven rolled her eyes. "It's commendable that you see life that way, but ask yourself this. What's the glass half full of? Because if it's something like bleach or gasoline it'll still kill you even if it's half full."

No one replied, what could they say? She was actually right.

'It's got magnesium in it, wonderful.' She sighed. That meant she couldn't simply weld herself a hole in the glass without it going off like a firework. Clever guy. That left cutting. Which would take a while given the thickness of the glass. Flexing her gloves to draw out the retractable claws, she got to work on the glass. Taking her time so as to avoid making too much noise or causing a spark.

A few minutes later, a fist sized hole had been cut into the glass, allowing Catwoman to reach in and open the window. Slowly creeping in, she noticed that she was in a living room.

'Thank God for small mercies.' She thought, relieved. 'Now to scour this place for those items, find them and be on my way.'

She cautiously went across the corridor, taking care to look out for trip wires, cameras and uneven tiles. Taking a look at the interior of each room with her goggles, and noting that none had any storage facilities, she moved on to the ground floor.

"If he's that paranoid it makes sense they'd be on the ground floor." Canary commented. This guy wouldn't leave things somewhere he couldn't keep an eye on them.

Superman flipped the page and hoped it would be a successful infiltration. The contents hadn't been too bad so far but one never knew. What if a chapter suddenly got a lot darker?

'If he's keeping them downstairs, it's likely to be in his bedroom or some safe,' Catwoman thought as she slowly crept down the stairs. All the lights were off and she didn't want to switch her sight settings for fear of her goggles giving off a visible glow. It didn't help that each step sounded to her, like she was marching on wood.

She slowly exhaled, keeping her mouth slightly open as she went down. Why was she so tense? She was no stranger to stealing from high profile individuals and breaking into high security structures either as a job, to get some extra funds or to attract Batman's attention. But she'd never gotten caught in a fight between the government and a probably powerful individual.

Upon reaching the bottom of the stairs, she froze as the sound of footsteps reached her ears.

"He was home all along?" Kara asked. "I was sure it would be him." She said pointing at the blond.

"If it is him, you think they were sent by the same person in the hopes of taking each other out?" Diana asked.

Kara shrugged. "Not sure. We don't even know who the client is."

Naruto really hoped that this version of him was better than the last. He'd been flamed for a good minute now and he was in need of a powerful version of himself. Ideally the current him since he was the strongest in his world, but another one that could hold his own would be nice.

'Shitshitshit! Of course he'd have the sense to conceal himself from infrared sight.' She thought, panic slightly setting in as she began to look around for hiding spots. Facing a metahuman wasn't something she was eager to do. Especially one whose powers were unknown to her.

Just as she decided to wing it and hide behind the stairs, a figure entered her vision. She had to admit, he didn't make for a very intimidating sight. Nearly six feet tall with rough auburn hair and a few days stubble, James walked towards what was probably his kitchen. In spite of the near pitch blackness, his steps were as sure as someone treading an illuminated path.

Halfway through his journey, he stopped to look around, causing Catwoman to hold her breath as his eyes passed across where she was hiding. She tensed as she got a good look at his glowing eyes which came back to where she was hiding, unknowingly making eye contact with her.

"This is tense." Red Arrow said, almost holding his own breath. The room had changed so that it was as if they were in the room experiencing this as well.

"Batman. Something like this would make for a good investment back home right?" Superman asked.

The Dark Knight had to agree. He was somewhat impressed with the idea and made a note to look into it when they returned. He had money but keeping a giant headquarters in space wasn't cheap.

The one-sided stare off continued for a few moments before James sighed and continued his initial action. 'I'm getting too paranoid.' He'd never gotten the chance to fully relax since the mess at Arkham. He cursed whoever had managed to retrieve the recordings at the asylum. If it hadn't been for them, Elizabeth and her colleagues wouldn't have known he'd been the one to take those files in the fray.

Catwoman exhaled in relief as the man continued on his way. His presence in the house only made things harder now, considering she had very little time to find the files or drive. She had no idea how long he'd stay in the kitchen but judging from the sounds of a pot being filled with water, he'd be there for a while.

Unwilling to take chances, she quickly went down where he'd come from, most likely his bedroom. Hopefully, she didn't have to look anywhere else. The lights in the room, like the rest of the house, were off.

Ra's was mildly impressed with the woman's stealth. It wasn't on the level of his shadows but for a burglar she was far above the norm.

"If she bumps into one thing it's over." Naruto muttered to Canary.

She nodded but didn't reply. Like the others she was very immersed in the story now that the surroundings had changed.

"That's not the worst thing that can happen. He's a meta, if she's caught she'll be killed or worse." Raven muttered much to Batman's displeasure.

Slightly opening his door and entering through the narrow gap, she noticed the excessively high and small windows. Enough for the room to get a bit of ventilation but not so much that it'd clear the stench of sweat and unwashed clothes or cool the room. She wrinkled her nose as the fan blew the rank air in her direction. Switching her goggles' vision settings to night vision, she got to work.

Taking frequent glances at the door, she began to scour the room. Cautiously opening drawers and taking sure to reposition the items as she left them. People had an odd way of knowing if something they'd arranged themselves had been put out of place. Nothing underneath his bed too and he didn't have a safe. No paintings either. Finding nothing, she moved on to his wardrobe.

To her delight, she noted that there weren't many clothes in it, the majority were on the floor awaiting the day they'd be cleansed. If she successfully carried out her job, that day would never come. Swiftly searching the pocket of each shirt and pants and finding nothing but a syringe, she went to the space below. Apparently, James had a lot of lonely nights seeing as how he kept a large assortment of pornography discs and magazines he kept stacked with his music collection.

"What kind of monster watches those on a big screen?" Red Arrow said with mild concern. Seriously, why couldn't he just stick to mobile like the rest of them?

Superman shook his head. "Red, that's the last thing we should be wondering about. The syringe should probably be more on your mind than his unhealthy living conditions and porn addiction."

Naruto frowned. "How do you get addicted to porn? Someone gets off on watching someone else get action?" His eyes darted to Oliver who was still seething in his direction.

Diana crossed her arms and nodded disapprovingly. "Man's world does seem to have that as one of its issues."

Sighing, she shifted each pile, ignoring her slight arousal at the sight of some extremely provocative covers. This would take a longer time than she thought if a group of files or a drive were her. He didn't have a laptop either and she hadn't picked up any electrical devices aside from appliances and his television.

Between a number of music album cases, she found a flash drive and torn papers. She gingerly fished them out, taking care not to tip over any stacks.

"Really?" She muttered as she gave the album covers a disbelieving glance. "It's 2019, who still listens to Justin Timberlake?"

"Hold on now." Red Arrow interjected.

Kara scoffed in disbelief. "Don't tell me you actually listen to him."

"He has nothing but hits. Mirrors, cry me a river?" He named out. "What do you think I listen to when I'm out on the field?"

Naruto didn't know who this person was but if the man felt this strongly about it, he had to be decent right?

"People who like him." Catwoman heard a male voice behind her, causing her to jump and lash out with a kick which got caught. She turned to see James glaring at her, half his legs still submerged in an inky blackness.

'That's his power, that's why he left all the lights off,' Catwoman thought, realization finally setting in. Umbrakinesis, or at least shadow travel. He could probably use the darkness as a sensory field too, detecting everything in his vicinity. He'd probably known she was around since she entered the house.

"Normally, I'd ask who sent you to rob me but considering you're only interested in these," James spoke and Selina felt the drive and file disappear from her hand, as if snatched by unseen hands. "I've got a pretty good guess."

"Come on, don't leave us in suspense." Naruto muttered, clutching onto Canary's hand. "I should be showing up to save the day any second now."

"What makes you say that?" Batman questioned.

"It's just in my nature to help people who need it."

"You could be a villain." Raven shot back. "You weren't exactly a hero in the last chapter."

"It'll be different this time." The blond "I have a feeling."

"If you know who I am, honey, then you know I don't get hired." Catwoman shot back, glaring at him as she felt his grip on her leg tighten. It couldn't be his hand. Whatever was holding her was fully wrapped around her heel. She grimaced as she felt her hand sink into what felt like an oily blackness that wouldn't let go.

"He manipulates shadows to such a degree?" Naruto thought to himself. Something like this would've make shikamaru even more of a menace than he already was.

"I know who you are, Kyle. And don't take me for a fool," James retorted. "The Roman hired you to steal the Pearl Lapis pendant from the Wayne Manor, Sionis paid you for the retrieval of his son's trial evidence, Wa-"

"Alright, I get it." Catwoman interrupted him, irritated at all her past jobs being thrown at her face. Of course this guy had to know all that about her, even her real name.

"They must be getting desperate if they're sending outsiders to do their jobs for them," James muttered, staring at her contemplatively. In the darkness, he was still capable of making out her form and he liked what he saw. "I wonder what to do with you."

In spite of her height, her legs were long and the black skin tight suit she wore helped to accentuate it's nearly perfect shape as well as her muscular thighs. Her perky breasts were kept perfectly in place, her slightly muscled went down to nearly wide hips and her curves were shaped like that belonging to a woman at peak physical condition Her pale pink lips were slightly drawn back to show pearly white teeth with abnormally sharp canines.

Superman was beginning to feel both upset and slightly uncomfortable with where this was heading. "Any minute you want to make your debut Naruto, it would be appreciated."

"We'll seeing as how I'm not there. I can't exactly make that happen." The blond replied, looking back at the scene in front of them. As creepy as the guy was, he was right about one thing, Catwoman was definitely a looker.

Still, he wasn't trying to see the woman get assaulted while basically standing in front of her. He prayed that he would show up soon.

He had to admit, if he hadn't seen her and other heroines in real life, he'd have thought women like them only existed in comic books. Allowing his gaze to go lower, he noticed with a bit of arousal, the slight cameltoe at the crotch area of her suit. It was easy to see why she won many fights. Not many men wouldn't be even slightly distracted by her appearance.

Catwoman struggled against the shadows holding her arm and leg. Being examined so closely gave her a foreboding feeling of what would happen next if she wasn't able to escape. Sure, she loved to flirt with people and wasn't afraid to flaunt the goods to give her an advantage but she didn't have the opportunity or desire to do either here.

"May I suggest forgiving and forgetting?" Catwoman quipped nervously. She didn't expect asking to work but she was close to having a panic attack, her mind was becoming clouded by fear and her throat felt like it had dried in the span of a minute.

"Not happening." James responded, rushing to his wardrobe and taking the same syringe she saw and injecting its contents in her arm, causing her to hiss from the pain.

"Was that clean?" Kara asked. "Because if not…" she trailed off.

"More to the point, what do you think he injected in her? Poison?" Diana asked.

Batman hoped not. His hands were already clenched to the point that his gloves could be heard as the rubber grinded against each other. The chapter had mentioned the at symbol so where was he?

Other world or not, if something happened to Selina because of this guy there would be consequences.

"Stealing is bad, cat," James began again, his pitch lowered to what he thought was a seductive baritone that only made her feel dirty. "Usually, cats aren't usually this bad unless they haven't had their daily serving of milk."

'Oh God, no.' Catwoman began to struggle harder, her heart rate speeding up as she began to sweat. This couldn't be happening to her, not tonight, not ever. She felt her second hand sink into the oily blackness and another something clamp around her second leg and force it apart from the first.

Whatever he'd injected her with was probably a form of aphrodisiac. She felt her skin tingle and her vagina secrete fluids in preparation for the eventual penetration.

"Breaking into my home, trying to steal from me, insulting my taste in music. You seem determined to make me punish you." James said, taking a perverse delight in seeing her panicked expression. Her initial defiance had whittled away to raw fear. Probably a past trauma, he didn't care. It had been too long since he had been with anyone and he wasn't going to let conscience get in the way of a good fuck.

Everyone was suddenly super uncomfortable with what they were seeing. Naruto had heard from kunoichi based on some of their experiences and the last thing he wanted was to see this happen to someone.

"Come on Naruto, break in or something." He muttered somewhat angrily. The last few chapters weren't bad but this was something else.

"Can't we just read ahead?" Red Arrow asked.

Superman tried to skip a few pages only for the book to glow green and shoot a ray of condensed light at the man of steel. Those around him watched as he tried to catch his breath his energy had somehow been drained.

"Did a book just fire kryptonite at him?" Starfire asked.

"Alright so no. Got it." Red Arrow said awkwardly.

"Wait! Please, we can talk about this," Catwoman pleaded desperately as she felt her suit being peeled off her, struggling vainly to clamp her legs together. She tried not to moan as the zipper came undone, grazing over her hard nipples. "I'll suck your di-"

"If I wanted a blowjob, we wouldn't be having this conversation." James snarled, gagging her with a semi corporeal shadow tendril and yanking off her goggles, getting a good sight of her tearful green eyes. He began to unbuckle his pants, feeling himself rise with anticipation. "I'd be deep in your throat by now. Don't blame me, blame yourself for trying to rob me."

"Robbery is such a strong word," another male voice sounded behind James, this time causing him to jump. "I prefer surprise communism."

Everyone let out a sigh of relief. Naruto had finally arrived.

"Communism?" Diana asked, unfamiliar with the term.

"A form of government, we'll explain later." Superman said quickly. Now that James was about to get his comeuppance he didn't want to miss it.

"Surprise communism." Starfire corrected.

"Just another way of saying stealing, Star." Canary informed her.

James willed the shadows behind him to turn into sharp tendrils, each one rushing to impale the intruder. To his surprise, they collided against themselves, having found nothing to pierce. Swiftly turning, he saw a thin layer of smoke coalescing to form a masked head. The disembodied head shook in a chiding motion.

"That's not nice, attempting to kill a guest," the figure spoke again. "This isn't the dark ages anymore. Murdering people who aren't nobles is also a crime now."

James didn't respond to him, this time willing the shadows to garrote the head, once again failing as it simply dematerialised to join the preexisting fog. The smoke grew to encompass his figure and much to his surprise, behind him materialised a hand holding a gun.

"Wait, is this still the same Naruto from the last chapter? They did say he could turn to smoke." Superman recalled.

BLAM!

With a pained cry, the man jerked backwards, clutching his bleeding arm, his control over the shadows ebbing away to release a sobbing Catwoman who crumpled down to the floor, clearly not out of her breakdown.

"Damn, I don't know what you did to her but you messed her up man," The voice spoke again. "Not cool, not cool one bit."

"I didn't do anything to her, you idiot." James ground out, slowly fighting back the impulse to run away. Something told him doing so would mean the end for him. "Who are you?"

"I am a person. I thought that was obvious by now." The lights came on, to James' horror and the smoke cloud coalesced to form a humanoid figure a height of six feet and an orange and black colour scheme for his suit. The handgun with which he'd shot him was still in his hand and it was pointed at his face.

"Oh no." Naruto whispered as he closed his eyes.

Canary smiled and squeezed his forearm tightly knowing what was about to happen.

"Out of everyone, I wasn't expecting the world's greatest assassin." Red Arrow said.

"Deathstroke?!" James yelled out. They wouldn't be desperate enough to send the terminator after him, would they?

The figure clearly didn't like the comparison as he shook his head and lowered his aim to James' knee before firing. Another scream was ripped out of his throat as he felt his kneecap shatter.

"I'm not Deathstroke, dammit! It's not like he trademarked orange and black as his colour scheme," The figure raged. "There are three other people who wear the same thing aside from him. Why do they keep calling me Deathstroke? I'm not even as large as him. As a matter of fact.."

"Oh. It's just the dollar store Deathstroke again." The archer said in an uninterested voice. Naruto frowned in offense, he was getting real tired of the disrespect.

"At least he can turn into smoke now, so he's probably a lot better. Depends on how much further in the future this is." Superman said, taking pity on the young man.

Naruto gave the hero a grateful nod and hoped the others would follow his lead but that wasn't the case. He was once again subjected to what he now knew were names of off brands.

"Watch him deal with James efficiently. You'll see." Naruto tried only to be drowned out by laughter once again.

He aimed at the second knee and fired again, eliciting another scream.

"That's two knees now. Because I have two eyes. Everyone knows Deathstroke only has one," the figure mused. " So if anyone asks you who shot you, tell them you got shot by some guy in orange and black with two eyes. They'll know it's not Deathstroke."

"Anyways, I'm here to make sure you don't skip town when it's time to show in court," the figure said. "And by that, I mean subdue you enough for an extraction team to take you to a 'safe place'. In hindsight, I should have probably told you this before shooting you in both knees, paralysing you for life."

"We'll he certainly likes to mess with his targets so there's one difference between him and Deathstroke." Kara said.

Raven turned to look at the blond. "Why not just ditch the color scheme? Easy solution. Then you won't be ridiculed."

"Because that's not me, my outfit is…" Naruto paused. If he told them his outfit back home consisted of orange and black it would make things worse. "Fine the way it is."

Pulling out a collar, the man turned it on before snapping it around a red faced James's neck.

"Pretty fashionable if I do say so myself. The female model is called a choker," the figure joked, ignoring James' horrified look when he realised what the collar was. "In a few months, you'll be upgrading to a noose. So enjoy this while it lasts."

"W-" James began only to be interrupted as the figure kicked him in the head, knocking him out.

"God, I hate it when I reform with gunsmoke, gives me this acrid smell." He muttered.

"And now, let's address the other elephant in the room." The man turned to Catwoman who'd begun to gather herself, having put on her suit again.

"What did he mean it'll upgrade to a noose?" Kara asked. She was sure the government wouldn't kill him via hanging.

"Whoever he pissed off will likely kill him." Red Arrow clarified. "Especially if the person has some pull. Happens all the time."

Naruto and Ra's however, keyed in on the fact that the cheap Deathstroke had mentioned something rather important. He materialized through the gun smoke. Did that mean he could use any kind of smoke?

If that was the case maybe Superman was right to say that he was much stronger. That made the blond feel a tad bit better.

Catwoman glared at the man who'd turned to look at her. She had a feeling he was from the same man who'd sent her and he'd been sent because they didn't believe her capable of succeeding. The swelling heat in her only seemed to worsen to a point where she felt like she'd orgasm just from walking.

"That's an odd way to express gratitude, Miss Kyle," the man began amusedly. "Usually, when a lady gets saved from being raped, she usually says 'thank you' if nothing else."

"He sent you." She said accusingly.

"If you're talking about Lynn, then no," the man responded. "It's his bosses who sent me."

"Basically the same thing." Naruto commented with a deadpan.

Kara agreed. "Yeah but he didn't have a say. What if he didn't want to send him but the higher up said to do it?"

"Either way to her it looks like they didn't have faith in her." Diana added.

Superman gave her a side eyed look. The woman was about to get raped so they were kind of right to not trust her.

"Of course, they figured I'd fail like the rest and they'd need someone else to capitalize on my 'sacrifice'." She spat, feeling herself getting angrier, not necessarily at the man, but at everything.

"They were expecting you to be skilled or lucky enough to pull off a heist under an Umbrakinetic's nose in his own home in the middle of the night," the man snorted. And more importantly, to do it without any confrontation."

"The higher ups didn't believe for a moment that you could succeed when Lynn told us about you. The guy's got a good eye for skill but he's about as aware of real life as Mickey Mouse. He thinks everything works like a double o'seven book."

"I was just sent as insurance in the high likelihood that you were neither skilled nor lucky enough," he explained. "Or as the clean-up crew."

"Could be a little kinder with his phrasing." Canary said, poking the blond's side.

Naruto sighed. "I'll let him know you said that when I see him. Anyway they should probably get out of there soon. What if others show up?"

"You think they'd send more people?" Batman asked in his usual gruff tone.

Naruto shook his head. "Other people he's pissed off. Many men wish death on him from what we've gathered throughout the chapter. It's not a stretch to think someone else could have their eye on him."

The Dark Knight stayed quiet, that was a possibility. Even so, at least the worst had already passed.

The 'for you' went unsaid but she got it clearly. He'd been following her in case she decided to run off with what she got. Had she done so, he'd have killed or captured her.

"I wasn't going to kill you, Miss Kyle."

Ah, capture then. Wait, how'd he know what she was thinking?

"What makes you thin-" She was cut off by him mid-sentence.

"It shows on your face. It's not always so drastic, you know?" He interrupted. "This is real life, not a spy movie. Most times, we find a way to legally arrest you and make you go to 'prison' afterwards. Killing isn't something we do anytime we get a rogue. Especially someone who doesn't know much like yourself."

"I don't know if I'd be insulted at that point or not." Kara said. "He basically said she sucked and didn't know anything."

"But she's alive because of it." Raven countered.

Superman nodded with the gray skinned woman. It wasn't something Catwoman would like to hear but it was certainly true.

"She's not completely safe though. She's still got unknown chemicals in her system now." Red Arrow reminded them. He remembered what she said she felt when moving. The book might have averted her scene but there was a chance that she was now the one potentially doing the act.

"So you're an agent, then." Selina said, ready to defend herself in case he was just trying to soften her up for capture, a task that was easier thought than acted out. Her body felt like it was burning up and the man's scent was beginning to get to her.

He laughed. "Fuck no! You think they'd allow someone with these colours to work with them? I'd be dressed in civvies or combat wear or a suit if I was."

He was a mercenary then. That didn't make her feel much better. He was still under Lynn's employ for the moment. She hated to admit it but there wasn't much she could do against him. His ability to dematerialise into a gaseous form alone made him impossible for her to fight.

"The team's going to be down here in a few minutes. I've disabled the perimeter alarms and the few traps he laid," He continued, moving towards her to pick her up, much to her displeasure. "Let's get out before then. I'm not in the mood to start explaining shit to them."

Canary nodded approvingly. This version was better than the last that was for sure. With his new gaseous form it opened up a multitude of possibilities.

"They better watch how they talk about me." Naruto said as he crossed his arms in front of him.

"Or you'll come and take their life away?" Red Arrow finished. He was sure the young man didn't realize his words earlier but two times?

"We'll I won't but he probably will." Naruto pointed at the mercenary.

"Nevermind."

She had to admit, while he wasn't as large as Batman, he was clearly his equal at least one in strength as he picked her up like she weighed nothing. She bit her lip as his

arm grazed her left nipple when he helped her get up. She felt her heart rate increasing again as her nose was filled with his scent, an oddly intoxicating mix of sweat, long faded perfume and hints of chocolate. Maybe it was just the aphrodisiac messing up her already altered body.

As they left the room, she noticed that he had already turned on all the lights and the faint sounds of brakes going off. She gulped, feeling her throat become dryer and the heat in her rise again as her current partner got closer to her, his scent swirling around in her brain in a more concentrated dosage.

She pressed herself slightly into him, trying to inhale as much of him as she could. If he noticed, he didn't comment on it.

"If I didn't know what was happening I'd find that really creepy." Superman said with a grimace.

The women nodded but cut the woman some slack. Her body was clearly out of her control now and she needed the toxins purged. Something told them though that it wouldn't be done in a medical facility.

"She needs to go to a doctor." Naruto said seriously only for Batman to shake his head.

"She won't go. Trust me."

Oh right, she was a robber.

Beneath his mask, Naruto's eyes slightly widened as he felt her sniff him. 'What the fuck?' He thought. Was this some cat thing he didn't know about? He hadn't had much time to properly look around the room but he had a feeling Kyle probably had something introduced into her system. He'd observed her a few times prior to tonight and even with Batman, she had never been so..touchy.

But what? He couldn't think of any compound capable of inducing behaviour similar to what she was exhibiting. He shook his head, slightly shivering as he heard her purr and press herself further into him. He'd wonder about it later, first they had to leave before he got bombarded with questions by the armoured drones.

He sighed, for some reason he felt his partner would be better at dealing with this than him. Too bad she'd gone off to join the Super Friends.

"Oh so this is before the end of the last one." Kara hummed. "He's likely stronger in the previous chapter than he is here then."

Ra's nodded once. "So it would seem."

Superman looked over at Naruto. "Maybe we were too harsh on you."

"I've never dematerialised anyone aside myself so I don't know what'll happen if I do," Naruto told her, not sure if she was even listening. "We'll have to go the classic way."

Selina slightly nodded to whatever it was she heard. She was more focused on trying to get off to his scent than she was on hearing whatever it was he had to say. 'Just take me where you're going and we'll see where it goes, why the hell do you smell so good?'

Naruto shook his head, slightly amused and more than a bit aroused. Her red face and half lidded eyes somehow made her appear adorable and sexy at the same time. Like that cat lady from the show named after a washing product. Upon getting out of the house, he wrapped his arm around her waist to pull her closer and pulled out a grappling gun.

A few minutes later, they were on a random rooftop. Naruto let go of her but she continued to hold him as she purred against his clothes. He sighed. It was cute at first but the clinginess had become slightly annoying.

"She's actually behaving like a cat." Diana said in mild concern. She looked over at Batman who's eyes had narrowed down to slits. "What kind of things do you get up to?"

The readers weren't entirely sure they wanted to know. Maybe Batman had a cat girl fetish?

"It's none of your business."

"He freaky" Red Arrow whispered to Green Arrow.

"You can let go now, Kyle." He said flatly. She shook her head and he nearly jumped as he felt her reach up and pull his head down for a kiss.

There were a lot of things Selina felt when she tried kissing the man but prevalently, she was embarrassed when rather than initiate a liplock, she hit her face against his mask. She yelped slightly and jumped away as he began to wheeze from laughter.

"Blow to the ego for sure." Canary said with a mild chuckle.

Kara laughed along. "If I were her, I'd kill myself after something like that."

Superman was going to chastise the young Kryptonian but saved his breath. She never listened.

As his laughter died down, Naruto gave her a pitying look as he saw the frustration on her face. She was probably at a stage where she'd jump anyone she saw. Well, if she wanted to fuck someone, who was he to say no.

He took off his mask, ignoring her wide eyed look as she got a good look at his face. She'd admire his good looks later, she'd been coming on to him since they met and nothing would stop him from taking her here.

Selina gasped as she saw the man's face. His spiky hair was a radiant yellow she hadn't seen on any being aside the Supergirl and she could almost say his blue eyes were glowing. On his cheeks were faint birthmarks that looked like whiskers. Odd, he was a lot better looking than she thought. Very radiant for a guy who could turn to smoke.

"No way he gonna steal the Bats girl." Red Arrow whispered to himself.

Green Arrow felt a childish glee knowing he wouldn't be the only one.

But none of that mattered to her, she had to taste him, feel him, smell him. He must have felt the same because he pulled her in for a kiss. 'Oh God.' Selina felt herself melt as she felt him deepen their kiss, feeling his free hand zipping down her suit and taking off her bra. He must have been very skilled to unclasp a bra with one motion. She barely felt as her back touched concrete.

Naruto gently but firmly herded her towards a wall, growling as he tried and failed to expose her crotch, he unclasped his belt and pulled down his pants, exposing his already hardened member and leaving her to undress herself. Selina, having already managed to take off the suit and let her panties stay on only one leg. She hooked one leg around Naruto's waist pulling him closer to put him inside her.

"I'm a bit too dry, don't you think?" Naruto asked, his voice cracked with lust. Her mind hazy, Selina nodded and squatted, making eye contact with the slit on his glans.

"He's gonna fuck her on a rooftop? Again?" Diana questioned. "What is it with you and indecent exposure?"

Naruto wished he had an answer. He had hoped he'd at least take her back to a hotel room.

"Wonder if Huntress knows that that wasn't your first time on a roof." Kara said out loud.

"Something tells me she wouldn't want to know." Superman interjected.

She observed the organ for a few more moments until Naruto nudged her by thrusting his dick to prod at her lips. She gave the tip a tentative lick before running her tongue across the underside of its length, drawing a pleased sigh from Naruto. Giving it another lick, she then drew circles across his glans with her tongue till it was slick with sweat before taking his length in her mouth.

Naruto groaned as he felt himself get engulfed by the heat of her mouth. He felt her tongue lick everything it could touch as she let her mouth fill with hot drool. As he felt himself slightly go past her tongue into her throat, she moaned, causing him to throw his head back.

Selina looked up at him, idly licking and moaning at the member in her mouth, taking delight in seeing him throw his head back. As he leaned back to make eye contact with her, she drew her head back.

Superman's hands clenched as he was forced to read more of this smut. He knew Batman was not liking what he was hearing but they couldn't stop now. He was just glad the woman wasn't here to experience this.

"Fuuu.." Naruto trailed off as he felt Selina pull herself off his dick, leaving only his glans in her mouth which she swirled her tongue across frantically. He sighed again, feeling his toes curl as she took him in again, this time, hollowing out her cheeks to create a suction. She took him out again, then in. And from there began a rhythm.

Selina felt like she was having a better time than the person she was sucking off. As she continued to blow him, she pushed a finger in her own tunnel, playing with herself as she continued to pleasure the man in front of her.

'Ah, that's hot, that's hot.' Naruto thought as he watched Selina finger herself as she continued to blow him. He felt his own release rapidly approaching as her moaning became more erratic, speeding up his approaching orgasm. From how her breathing had become irregular, she was close as well.

Selina moaned again as she felt his dick begin to twitch and expand in her mouth, eager for her treat, she increased her motions, her own hand become jerky as she felt herself about to release. She heard Naruto groan loudly and shove her face further onto his crotch, forcing her nose to touch his pubic hair as he released a steady stream of semen in her mouth. The sensation of warm cum running down her throat caused her legs to shake as she released as well, releasing a stream of fluid on the floor.

Naruto exhaled, was it getting in the room or was it just him?

He caught the disapproving look Superman was giving him and raised an eyebrow. What was he upset for?

"Stay in your seats when the chapter is over." He said before narrowing his eyes at Canary. "And get your hand off of there."

To the others it sounded like he was chastising some teenagers and they couldn't fault him. It was getting tedious waiting for hours to continue because they kept getting hot.

Canary grumbled but kept her hand on his thigh as a show of childish defiance.

Naruto sighed as he pulled out of Selina's mouth, watching as she shuddered as her own orgasm continued. Damn, she was one hell of a squirter. She released a few shuddering breaths before she got up and leaned against the wall.

"You're still hard." Selina muttered, both impressed and delighted. Naruto grinned at her.

"And I've got more loads to go. And look, I'm lubricated now. How delightful."

Selina gasped as she felt him press her against the wall and lift her up. She used two fingers to part her labia, giving his dick better access to her entrance. She gasped again as she felt him rub his head on her clitoris and prod her a few times before he finally burrowed himself inside her.

"Has he used protection in any of these?" Kara asked

Superman shook his head. "At this point I don't think he believes in protection."

Naruto begged to differ. He did believe in protection, he prayed every time he banged Canary after all.

Naruto hissed as he felt himself enter Selina. She felt a lot hotter than her mouth was. And her walls twitched and moved back and forth against him. He waited a few seconds, slightly thrusting back and forth, listening to Selina gasp with each motion. After a while, he picked up his pace, listening to the squelching soundade everytime he crammed himself back into her.

Selina wrapped her legs around Naruto and pulled him closer to get him to go deeper. She rested her head on his shoulder, closing her eyes and inhaling his scent, content to moan away as he pleasured both of them. Slightly opening her eyes, she jolted as she saw a dark, tall figure staring at both of them.

"What are the chances that Batman catches you twice?" Red Arrow asked incredulously.

"Pretty high from what I'm seeing. Except at least this time it's at night." Diana responded for him.

They doubted it could be anyone else. If it were an enemy they would have hit while they were at their most vulnerable.

All eyes turned to the Dark Knight to see his expression hadn't changed much at all, something Green Areow found strange.

He was staring at them both, his eyes slightly wide. To many, his current appearance could be considered expressionless but she knew him well enough to read him like a book. He was giving her a betrayed look.

'Sorry, Bruce,' Selina thought, wanting to speak but nothing could come out of her mouth aside gasps and moans. 'You shouldn't have avoided me for so long, you should have been here earlier, you shouldn't have been with so many women.'

She knew she was just trying to make herself feel better but it didn't matter. Nothing mattered except the wonderful smelling man going in and out of her. She maintained eye contact with him, a part of her feeling guilty at seeing the pain in his eyes but she didn't speak.

"She's letting it happen while keeping eye contact?" Naruto asked with wide eyes. Catwoman was definitely a freak.

Diana felt slightly bad for Bruce but Catwoman did have a point.

On the other hand, Canary didn't feel much pity for the man. Her ex had run around with girls but behind her back, if anything he deserved this.

'Don't go', Selina moaned. 'Stay, watch.' Not that it mattered. He glared at her. She doubted he'd be hurt for too long. He'd probably find dozens of women like her or better. He'd be happy and so would she. Oh God, she was cumming.

Naruto had been near his second orgasm that night when he felt Selina tighten around him as she bit his shoulder, releasing a drawn out moan as she released a jet of fluids all over his dick and soaking his pants. The overwhelming feeling pushed him over the edge as well and with a cry, he released in her, releasing ropes of semen as copious as the first into her womb.

Both of them stayed still, lightly pushing against each other as they felt their respective orgasms die out. After a few moments, Naruto pulled out of her, causing her to drop to the ground.

"I..God, that was.."

"Hot" Canary whispered to Naruto.

The blood sweat dropped. They hadn't been reading for that long and she was already itching to go? She hadn't even asked him about his day yet.

Still, he wouldn't leave her high and dry. He wasn't sure if this was more because she wanted to do it or because she wanted to continue to torture her ex but he didn't care.

"Chapter's almost over. We'll go as soon as the book disappears." He whispered back.

Diana looked over at them and frowned. She'd heard all of it and really wished she had a reason to do as her colleague.

"No need to speak," Naruto said. Mostly because he didn't want to hear anything that would make him hesitant to leave. "It was amazing for me too."

"I have no doubts about that."

Naruto jumped as he heard the voice behind him. Seriously, what was it with everyone speaking behind everyone today? He turned around and paled.

"Ah, Batman. How long have you been here?" He asked awkwardly. He doubted the man was here to fight him. Maybe interrogate him about why an armed group had gone to apprehend a criminal who'd been shot prior but not fight.

"Since James Graham got apprehended and you decided to celebrate by having sex with a known burglar." The man responded, his voice tight with anger. Naruto noted that he was trying to avoid looking at Catwoman who'd begun to put on her suit again, now that the effects of whatever she'd been given had worn off.

"I mean you do the same thing." Naruto told the man.

"It's different."

"It isn't. If anything it's worse, since you're a member of the Justice League."

Batman looked away and back to the screen. The young man was right but he wouldn't admit that.

"..we all make our own happiness.." Naruto trailed off. He wanted nothing more than to turn to smoke and disappear.

"Batman." Selina greeted him.

"Kyle."

Ah, that was it. They both had something before or they still did and he'd come in between them. Yeah, fuck this. They'd sort themselves out.

"You-hey wait!" Selina cried as she saw her recent lover vanish into a chimney. "Shit, he left me."

"He won't be the only one leaving you." Naruto muttered. He could see where this was going.

"You actually just left her to deal with it like that." Kara accused.

Naruto shrugged. "They have their personal problems. Who am I to come between them?"

"You came in her." Raven pointed out.

"He won't be the only one leaving you." Batman retorted.

"Please, you've been avoiding me for months. For all I know, you could have been balls deep in one of the League ladies and only approach me when you want someone to help you take the edge off in Gotham."

"That's not true." Batman defended himself.

"Which part isn't true?" She asked. Upon receiving no response, she sighed. "That's what I thought."

"Which ladies?" Kara asked her.

Batman turned and glared at her. "I don't get involved with colleagues."

"Selina.."

"No, just no," Selina sighed. "We've had good times but in the end, we can't stick. You know that as well. In the end, we're too different."

Batman stayed silent. His head was slightly lower than normal.

"You'll find someone, someone better. It's just not going to be me," Selina said, unfurling her whip to latch on to whatever she could. "For what it's worth, I wish things could end on a better note. Have a nice life..Bruce."

With that, she left, leaving Batman to stare at the spot where she had once been.

"That's kind of sad." Superman said, trying to show sympathy to his friend. That was broken as two blonds blurred passed him toward the newly created door.

"Seriously?!" Oliver said now more irate than ever. "Let it go!"

Dinah pretended not to hear him and latched onto Narutos arm while slowing her pace. In another act of pettiness, they heard her giving Naruto a list of baby names.

None other than Oliver knew that those were the same names they'd discussed months ago.

The book disappeared and dropped onto Ravens lap. Like last time however, the book wouldn't open until all participants were seated.

"We might be here a while."
