Anne, Charlie and the Plantars were on earth. Anne and Charlie couldn't believe it. The two human teenagers were home, back on earth when the Plantars were trying to help them get back home but they knew that Marcy tried to get them and herself back to earth so they could escape and try to get away from the hell-bent King Andrias who tried to kill them when they found out what his true intentions were once they brought the Calamity box back with the stones fully charged.
They knew that they had to go back and try to stop King Andrias and his incoming invasion, bring back Sasha and Marcy but they knew that seeing Marcy get stabbed with a laser sword. It was shocking to see that happen but somehow, both human teenagers knew Marcy is still alive somehow.
They were sitting on someone's car during the Los Angeles traffic and car horns from near and far were loudly honking. Hop Pop looked to the left side wide eyed at everything he saw as if he was a five-year-old who arrived at New York City and saw just how big the place was for the first time. A plane flew above them as Sprig looked up and cried "What is that thing?!" wide eyed.
"What is THAT thing?!" cried a freaked-out Polly pointing at a nearby dancing blue inflatable tube like man that people see waving around at a car dealership which this one was at a nearby car dealership.
"I don't believe it... We're home?!" said Anne and Charlie in shocked unison.
"This is your world, Anne and Charlie?" said Sprig covering his ears. "It's so... loud."
"That's because we're on the freeway! Let's move!" said a worried Anne.
"Anne, Hop Pop, grab onto me!" Charlie instructed.
Anne placed her backpack over her back as she climbed onto Charlie's back while Hop Pop climbed upon Charlie's chest to hold onto. Charlie used his arms to take hold of Polly in his left arm and Sprig in his right arm. He hopped off the car and he ran away from the freeway, carrying everyone with him till they reached what looked like a small alley way that wasn't too far from a staircase that led to a nearby baseball field.
Once off the road. Anne and Hop Pop got off him and he placed Sprig and Polly on their feet. They panted to catch their breath while Charlie finally powered down as his eyes and hair turned back to their original colors, his claws and fangs turned back to normal human teeth and nails and the now larger than usual muscles went back to their original sizes, his body back to normal but his hair was still long enough to reach his back.
"Charlie, something tells me that your strength isn't a human thing anymore when Andrias seem to know something about the Lion's Fury and something about a Leotárian?" said Hop Pop.
"I have no idea what a Leotárian is, but he mentioned something about me being the last one." said Charlie looking curious.
After they took a moment to catch their breath. They turned to see a group of buildings that the city has. All of them staring in awe at the sight of it. Sprig fell backwards on the ground, but Charlie caught him by the arm to help him back up. Both Anne and Charlie were almost in disbelief.
"Are we dreaming? There's only one way to be sure." said Anne getting out her phone.
Both Anne and Charlie got out their phones and looked at the screens. They pushed a button with their thumbs and a picture on the screen to Anne's phone shown Anne and Sprig while on Charlie's screen, the picture on Charlie's phone was of him and him and Hop Pop. They saw at the top left-hand corner of the screens that it at first said "No Service" but then it shown power battery power at full charge at "5G" this left joy washing over the two human teenager's faces with a twinkle in their eyes.
"WE'RE HOOOOOOOOME!" cried Anne and Charlie melodiously.
Charlie sucked in a big amount of air and let out a happy, melodious operatic note as he sung in the operatic note for a good ten seconds.
"I'm coming home, ladies!" cried Charlie happily.
Somewhere in a neighborhood
Anne, Charlie, Hop Pop, Sprig and Polly were walking on the sidewalk of a neighborhood. Anne was looking at her phone while Charlie kept an eye on the Plantars like he does with the elderly and parent's children when they're unattended. Polly was excited that she finally has legs as she used them to jump up into the air and she was bouncing around like a rubber ball saying "Legs" over and over.
"Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh! What is this thing?" said a wide eyed and excited Sprig as he opened up a nearby mailbox which he excitedly opened it to look around in it.
"Sprig, stay out of that mailbox. That's a mailbox and those are letters. We shouldn't go through someone else's mail." Charlie advised.
Sprig obeyed and closed the mailbox as he looked and gasped with a twinkle of excitement as he saw a pedestrian button on a nearby pole for traffic lights. He jumped up and held onto the pole as he rapidly pushed the button.
"Buttons! Buttons everywhere!" said Sprig getting hyperactive.
"Careful Sprig. You wouldn't want to break that. Kind of like the time I was taught how to shave my face." warned Charlie.
"Who taught you how to shave?" asked Hop Pop. "Sprig, get down from there!"
"Surprisingly, my grandpa taught me how. He once had a long beard. Made him look like a member of ZZ Top." answered Charlie. "Also, I texted my mom, my aunt and the ladies of the house that I'm back but that'll be explained later."
Sprig stopped pressing the button but got distracted when he saw a fly that flown nearby and he jumped forwards to get but fell into a small drain on the nearby road. He screamed "HELP! This dungeon smells awful!" which is when Hop Pop grabbed hold of Sprig by the back of his shirt, pulling him out. Charlie fought the urge to laugh at Sprig's words but lost it.
"Sprig, that's not a dungeon, that's a storm drain." chuckled Charlie.
"Careful, boy. There's no telling what dangers lurk in this world. Also, let's listen to Anne and Charlie on this one. They're from this world and we're not. This is kind of like Anne and Charlie's situation when they first arrived in Amphibia but in reverse." Hop Pop advised. "So what's our next move Anne and Charlie? I mean, so much has happened. Do you think Marcy's-?"
"She's alive, Hop Pop. She's just gotta be." said Anne with a worried face.
"I tossed a needle at Marcy and made sure it landed on her leg it won't harm her on. It had the juice from the all-golden miracle healing apple. I injected it into her. That'll save her from death." Charlie said with a word of comfort as his face shown worry.
Anne and Charlie looked at Anne's phone as she looked at a picture of her, Sasha and Marcy. The picture shown them smiling as if they were hanging out at a local hangout.
"And with Marcy and Sasha still stuck over there in Amphibia, one thing's for sure, we gotta find a way back." said Anne.
The Plantars expressed their support and excitement from their words but then they stopped at a nearby house.
"But before we do any of that, first things first." said Anne.
The house they stopped by turned out to be Anne's home. The house itself was like any normal residential home in the area of Los Angeles. The house's exterior sported a typical American house design. In the front was a mailbox and a small kneeling statue near the red door that sport a Thai design. It was a two-story high house. On the house's overlaid dark color tiled roof, there's a square-shaped rock chimney on the roof's top side and a green frisbee stuck on the right side. The house's walls are painted in blue while the gables are painted in white. The house had a garage which can let the Boonchuy's car to park inside when the white garage door opens, as well as a basketball hoop at a gable which is above the garage door. Charlie couldn't believe what he saw.
"It's Anne Boonchuy's house. I'm actually at Anne Boonchuy's house." Charlie thought excitedly.
"Anne, Is this...?" said Sprig.
Anne was showing a hint of emotional response as Charlie also felt the same way but he was also a bit nervous meeting Anne's parents. They have no idea that Anne and Charlie are dating and he's dreamt about receiving their blessing before. He was also feeling hope was mixed in there as he was really missing his family too.
"My house... this is really happening. I'm gonna see my parents." said Anne looking hopeful.
"I'm going to be seeing my family too. The ladies of the house." said Charlie looking hopeful. "But they might be in for a surprise to find out me and my soul sista are, dating."
There was a silence as they looked at the house. That was when Sprig had questions in his mind and broke the silence.
"So... It's too early to call them "mom" and "dad", right? Should I call them "Mr. and Mrs. Boonchuy"?" asked Sprig as he stuck his huge tongue out his mouth. "Are they tongue-faced people?"
"Sprig, humans don't have huge tongues like frogs." Charlie reminded.
"Oh yeah, I forgot." said Sprig pulling his tongue back in his mouth.
"Ok... you three should probably hide in here for the time being." instructed Anne as she opened up the nearby trashcan. "I wanna ease them into all of this slowly. And when the time is right, I'll signal." Anne mimicked the sound of a condor to inform them. "DO NOT come out until you hear that."
The Plantars climbed into the trashcans which already had a bag in both of them. Hop Pop was in the blue recycle trashcan while Sprig and Polly and Frobo hid in the black trashcan.
"Not my first idea on where to hide them but we have to make sure no one else out here sees you guys. Seeing talking frogs might be a bit shocking to them. Unless they were in a cartoon." said Charlie expressing his compassion.
"Oh... And I'm not gonna tell them I plan to go back and stop Andrias. Or that Andrias betrayed us. Or that Marcy did. Or that Sasha did. And not A WORD about my weird glowing blue powers or Charlie's weird glowing gold colors or his origins of those powers." Anne babbled while inhaling a breath and letting it out. "Wow... There's a lot going on..."
"What are we going to tell your folks about us?" said Charlie showing some nervousness.
"Not to worry. We can talk to them about it together." reassured Anne.
"You can count on us, kids." reassured Hop Pop.
The Plantars hid in their hiding place while Charlie telepathically communicated with them about how it won't be long till they give them the signal. Anne approached the porch while Charlie hung back seven feet away. Anne took in a breath and knocked on the door. They waited for a minute till the door opened and the person who opened the door was Anne's mother. She saw Anne and Charlie as Anne greeted her.
"Hi. mom." said Anne starting to get emotional.
Anne's mother felt tears welling up in her eyes as she dropped a bowl of what looked like a food mixing, it clattered onto the porch as she immediately hugged Anne. Charlie decided to get the father's attention.
"Honey, Anne's back!" called Charlie mimicking Mrs. Boonchuy's voice perfectly.
Mr. Boonchuy came from somewhere in the house and looked towards the front entrance to see Anne and his wife hugging. Anne called out to him while he felt tears welling up in his eyes as he came to Anne by a run and embraced her.
"ANNE? ANNE, YOU'RE BACK! You're safe." said a relieved Mr. Boonchuy.
They heard a meowing sound and Anne saw her cat Domino coming over. She nuzzled over to Anne's leg while she bent down to pick her up and hug her. Mrs. Boonchuy removed the stick and leaves from Anne's hair.
"Domino! Come here, my precious baby!" cried Anne.
"Where have you been? Are you OK? Are you hurt? Have you eaten? Your hair is a mess." said Mrs. Boonchuy her mother bear instincts kicking in.
"It's a really... really long story." answered Anne.
Anne's mother suddenly noticed Charlie nearby. Charlie blushed as Mr. Boonchuy looked right at him. They saw his beautifully long, thick hair, his muscular body and his perfectly chiseled features from his face and more.
"Hi Mr. and Mrs. B." said Charlie with a nervous chuckle.
"Anne, who is this boy? And it looks like he could use a haircut." asked Mrs. Boonchuy.
Anne blushed as she looked back at a nervous Charlie which Anne knew it was time to tell them about Charlie.
"Mom, dad, this is Charlie Matsuda. He's my boyfriend. And we're dating." said Anne nervously.
"Boyfriend?" said the Boonchuys surprised.
"Did someone say Charlie Matsuda? Is our baby boy home?" came a lady's voice.
Anne and her parents moved out of the way of the front entrance as seven adult women came running outside. They were the ladies of the house that Charlie told Anne and the Plantars about. It was his mom, his aunt but five of the other adult women came to him by a run to hug him.
"Mama, aunt Hayami, ladies!" cried Charlie as tears leaked out of his eyes.
"Our little man!" they said in happy unison.
Charlie was met with hugs and plenty of kisses to his forehead and cheeks. After a minute of hugging him. They gave him some breathing room.
"Charlie, what happened? Did some mean people hurt you? Did you eat something? And how did your hair get so long and your body become, whoa!" asked Kikyo. It was Charlie's mother.
"It's a long story." answered Charlie.
"Is that Charlie?! He's home?! Come to mama!" came an excited lady's voice.
They looked to see an excited Japanese adult woman come running out the door and she had quite the large, full lips. It was Kagura, the lady that Charlie spoke of being a wild child, most affectionate out of the group of women and having quite the big lips. She came to pull Charlie into her arms for an embrace as she jumped up and down in excitement while kissing him on his cheeks and forehead over and over.
"Our little baby boy is home!" cried Kagura.
"Were they in the house right now?" asked Anne.
"Sometime after you disappeared. They said they gotten a phone call from their son about him hanging out with you. When the name Boonchuy was mentioned, they looked us up in a phone book and wondered if we've seen their child or if they've seen you. We've kept in touch for months in case you and Charlie were to return or have been found." explained Mrs. Boonchuy.
"He's the only boy in a house full of women?" said Mr. Boonchuy.
After Kagura calmed down and stopped. The Plantars heard a bird call which wasn't Anne. The nearby trashcans fell over and the Plantars and Frobo fell out of them as everyone turned to see them. Hop Pop had a banana peel on top of his head as he got up to his feet. Hop Pop put on a cute face.
"And we're the Plantars! The lovable frog family Anne and Charlie told you all about." said Hop Pop greeting them.
"Hop Pop, that was not the signal." Polly chimed in.
"Well, it sure sounded like the signal." Hop Pop said looking annoyed.
Sprig approached Anne and Charlie's family as he smiled. They were surprised to see talking frogs that looked like people you'd expect in a cartoon show.
"Hi, Mr. and Mrs. Anne's parents and hello there, Mrs. Charlie's mother, aunt and the ladies. The name's Sprig Plantar, Anne and Charlie's best friend and walking-talking frog." greeted Sprig.
They all stared at the Plantars with wide eyed shock. A fly flown by and Sprig launched his huge tongue to catch and swallowed it down whole while waving his hands. Mr. Boonchuy fainted to the ground in a thud.
"Mom, Hayami, ladies. This is kind of going to be complicated." said Charlie nervously.
One Hour Later
Everyone was inside Anne's home as Anne's parents and the Plantars sat on the couch. Charlie stood next to Anne. Charlie's mother, aunt and the six other ladies sat down near the couch. Charlie and Anne took the hour to explain things to them while they drew some drawings and written down notes on three boards.
One board had notes, one board had pictures and diagrams while one board had both on them but some pictures like one of a crown, a frog, Anne and Charlie. The two teenagers turned to face them. Everything that Anne and Charlie explained to their families was almost hard for them to understand as if they were being told something so scientific that it would make no sense to four-year old children. But they left out the details that Anne said she didn't want to tell her parents while Charlie did the same with his family by leaving out a few details of his powers or his powers being of otherworldly origins. He didn't like having to lie to his family or anyone he loves but knew they'd freak out if they knew.
"OK... Where was we?" asked Anne.
"The Third Temple?" guessed Sprig raising his left hand.
Anne and Charlie pointed a finger to Sprig to let him know he was correct till Anne pulled another sheet of paper over the board that had a picture of Anne, Sasha, Marcy and Charlie's heads drawn on there with the three different colored gems right next to the heads of Anne, Sasha and Marcy.
"Right. So, as soon as we charged the last stone, the music box opened a portal that took me and Charlie back to Earth. Before anything else could happen..." said Anne while giving the Plantars a wink.
The Plantars agreed as they nodded.
"But, the Plantars got sucked into the portal too and now they're stuck here until we find a way to get them home. So yeah... You're pretty much caught up." Anne finished.
Anne's parents were having shocked expressions, more so for Mr. Boonchuy. Charlie's family was stoic but surprised and visibly shaken by everything that's been explained to them.
"Hold on. Back up. You're telling us there's a whole world of talking frogs called "Amphibiland"?" said Mr. Boonchuy.
"It's actually called "Amphibia"." Sprig corrected.
"You and Charlie are boyfriend and girlfriend? And are dating?" said Mrs. Boonchuy surprised.
"So this is the gorgeous girl you told us about over the phone?" said the women of Charlie's family with blushing grins.
"Anne's my soul sista." said Charlie with a blushing grin.
"Then that means Charlie's moved on from the heartless blonde she-devil who broke his heart." said Hayami looking relieved.
"Wait, Charlie's dated before and Sasha broke his heart? What did she do?" asked Mr. Boonchuy confused.
"Aunt Hayami, ladies. If it's alright with you. Let's not speak ill of Sasha, please. You see, Sasha and I sort of reconciled. It's complicated." Charlie advised.
Charlie's family were surprised that he was defending Sasha. The girl that he used to date that dumped him, hurt him, and bullied him. He was defending her? They found that to be a little shocking to hear.
"You made Larb with maggots? Was it good?" said Mrs. Boonchuy curiously.
"This is a lot to take in. I wish we could've been eased into it." said Mr. Boonchuy starting to calm. "And what was this thing about Charlie having daddy issues? From what you've told us about his biological father never being there for him? What kind of dad promises their kid they'll be there for them but cancels at last minute?"
Kikyo, Hayami and the ladies looked at Mr. Boonchuy with tense expressions as he saw them shake their heads at him as if warning him not to bring up his father into the conversation. Anne gave Hop Pop a frown as she knew that he surprised them all a little too soon which Hop Pop nervously shrunk back as he let out a nervous chuckle.
"Did his father hurt him?" asked Mr. Boonchuy.
"Mr. Boonchuy, mom, Hayami, ladies. It's alright to bring up my dad in the conversation. I'm over my dad issues now. It was thanks to Anne, the Plantars and others we made friends with back in Amphibia that I'm over it. Especially thanks to Hop Pop, my Otōsan." reassured Charlie.
The lady's mouths fell open. Seeing Charlie refer to Hop Pop as his "Father" or that he's okay with talking about his biological father or bringing him up in a conversation or topic wasn't bothering him anymore? Charlie went over to pull Hop Pop in his arms to hug him and he hugged Charlie back. To the ladies, it was like they saw he grew up a little.
"This is a lot to take in but it's kind of surprising." said Mabel.
"Which reminds me." said Charlie as he placed Hop Pop back on his feet and turned to Anne's parents. "Mr. and Mrs. Boonchuy. I was twelve when I first saw your daughter which we both go to the same school. Regardless of what happened between me and Sasha, yes, I used to date Sasha, the relationship didn't end well, but even though I did reconcile with her as she's somewhat did the same with me, like I said, it's complicated. In Amphibia, when I finally met Anne face to face, I was a blushing mess around her but it's thanks to Anne, the Plantars and others helped me be able to talk about my problems without the fear of being judged negatively. We've bonded, I have a lot in common with Anne, I learned a lot from her, had my first kiss from her, I know, parents are not too keen on hearing that when it comes to their daughters. But I really love Anne, and I'd like to continue dating her if you'll allow me to. I'd never do anything to hurt her. We've done a lot for each other."
Hearing and seeing Charlie requesting their blessing to continue to date Anne was actually a very calming sign to the Boonchuys. After hearing everything that went on with them in Amphibia and how much they've done for each other. They felt like Charlie may be the right boy for Anne.
"Well, Anne and the Plantars did help you come out of your shell." said Mr. Boonchuy.
"And from what you've told us. You've done a lot for each other and dated for over two months and three weeks. And you wanting our blessing to continue to date Anne is quite honorable. After everything you two have done for each other, we can't end that relationship. You have our blessing." said Mrs. Boonchuy feeling relieved.
Charlie came to Anne's side and hugged her with a smile of excitement.
"Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Boonchuy!" said Charlie happily. "Jack and Rose Dawson have nothing on me."
That's when Charlie sucked in a big amount of air and he sung out an operatic note for a good ten seconds. Anne's parents were surprised that Charlie could sing opera as he had quite the powerful voice.
"He sings opera? Kind of cool." said Mr. Boonchuy looking impressed.
"Anyway... Can the Plantars stay with us until we find them a way home?" asked Anne hopefully. "Wait, Charlie, would you want them to stay at your place?"
"As much as I want that. There's nine people at my house and it's a full house already. Sorry guys." said Charlie politely declining.
Mrs. Boonchuy uttered a laugh before speaking.
"Wait... you're serious?" asked Mrs. Boonchuy seeing Anne isn't joking.
"Oh, mom! Dad, say something." said Anne looking annoyed.
"Anne, all of this is crazy, or at least some of it sounds that way. I wouldn't believe a word of it if the small frog wasn't kicking me right now." said Mr. Boonchuy as Polly was laying down on the couch, kicking Mr. Boonchuy on his right leg.
"Polly, Mr. Boonchuy is a human being, not a punching bag." Charlie warned.
"New legs. You know how it is." said Polly looking relaxed as she stopped.
Mrs. Boonchuy got up to be at Anne's side as she placed a hand over her left shoulder.
"Your adventure is over, Anne. You and this nice young man are home now. The authorities will take care of your friends." said Mrs. Boonchuy.
Both Anne and Charlie gasped wide eyed at Mrs. Boonchuy's words when she mentioned the authorities taking care of the Plantars. Anne and Charlie ran to the Plantar's side to protect them.
"With the police? The government? As soon as they see talking frogs, they'll be probed and dissected in a secret lab and used for all kinds of weird experiments!" said Anne in a panic.
"Not even the agents from the Men in Black would do that. Forgive me but hell no! Not my shisutā, not my kyōdai, and definitely not my otōsan!" said Charlie also panicking.
The Plantars shown worry and panic and that's when they immediately embraced Anne and Charlie while Polly screamed "Anne, Charlie, don't let them take us! DON'T LET THEM TAKES US!" Anne and Charlie hugged them back to protect them.
"Don't worry, guys. We'll keep you safe. I was living in a cave when you found me." reassured Anne.
"And I'm with you on this. I was wounded, driven half-crazy and nearly sick when I yakked." reassured Charlie.
"The least we can do is return the favor." said Anne and Charlie in unison.
"Mr. and Mrs. Boonchuy. The Plantars are obviously important to them like kazoku. And they'd be better off here since our house is full enough as it is. And we've encouraged Charlie to be himself and to always do the right thing. Having the Plantars live with you till Anne and Charlie can get them home is the right thing." Imani insisted.
Mrs. Boonchuy looked at everyone for a moment and looked back at Mr. Boonchuy. Her husband nodded with a small grin which Mrs. Boonchuy let out a sigh and smiled.
"Ok. They can stay. For now. And Charlie's always welcome in our house now that we see he's the right boy for you. But has to be gentle with hugging me since his muscles make him look like Dwayne Johnson." said Mrs. Boonchuy lightly joking about Charlie's powerful muscles.
Anne ran towards her mother and hugged her out of excited relief while Charlie also was relieved but chuckled at Mrs. Boonchuy's little joke.
"Thank you. Thank you. Thank you!" said Anne happily.
"You have a sense of humor, Mrs. Boonchuy? Good thing because I'm just as funny." chuckled Charlie as he suddenly began to perfectly mimic her voice. "With all these teens around and their hip hop stuck in my brain. It's enough to make a mama like me start going insane."
Mrs. Boonchuy chuckled but was surprised that Charlie could mimic her voice perfectly. He sounded just like her. Mr. Boonchuy went to the door and locked it up as he turned to them.
"Alright. If we're doing this, we gotta be extra careful. No one out there can know you exist. You're all on lockdown." advised Mr. Boonchuy.
"Grande y alto. You do know you'll have to unlock that door when we head out, right?" said Sonya pointing out a flaw that he missed.
"Oops. Sorry ma'am." said Mr. Boonchuy blushing.
"You heard the man. You're all on lockdown, got it?" said Hop Pop as he looked at Mr. Boonchuy. "What?"
"Come on guys! Let's have some Earth style quarantine fun! Mrs. Matsuda could Charlie join in?" asked Anne excitedly.
"Sure, but Charlie comes home at the end of today." said Kikyo.
They cheered in excitement as they started to have a little fun.
Anne, Charlie and the Plantars went up to Anne's room. Polly hopped up on Anne's bed and jumped on it like a trampoline. Sprig explored parts of her room.
"I'm in Anne Boonchuy's bedroom! I'm actually in her room!" Charlie said excitedly to himself.
Anne went to her closet and opened it. She was wide eyed as she tried on various clothes from her closet as she missed being able to change into clothes from her own home. But when she put on too many clothes, she fell to the floor with a thud.
"Anne, you okay?" said Charlie.
"I've fallen and I can't get up." chuckled Anne.
Later on. Sprig was in the kitchen, sitting on one of the counters while reading a comic book of a purple cat that the title read "Monday Cat" which he chuckled. When he saw Mr. Boonchuy pull out a plate of lasagna from the microwave after the timer dinged. Seeing that interested Sprig to try out the microwave.
He went to place the comic book he was reading in the microwave and turned it on as he watched from the window that it spun around in there. He was wide eyed with a twinkle of excitement. Charlie walked in and saw what was going on as he quickly got the oven mit and turned the microwave off to pull the book out.
"Flammable?" guessed Sprig.
"Food goes in a microwave, dude." said Charlie cooling the book off with a lightly damp rag.
Mr. Boonchuy was about to go in the bathroom with a newspaper but was surprised to see that Hop Pop and Sprig have discovered that the bathtub had running warm water, both of them were croaking loudly as the water was overflowing. Polly came out from the toilet.
"Mr. Boonchuy, made some coffee and WHAT THE?" said Charlie walking in.
"Sorry, was that overdoing it?" said Hop Pop looking shy at this.
"A little bit." said Charlie and Mr. Boonchuy in unison.
Sprig later on cooked a potato in the microwave as he remembered Charlie told him that food goes in there. Polly looked out the window upstairs to see a bird, she was about to go up to the window but Mr. Boonchuy stopped her and closed the window, locking it. Polly shown some disappointment. But looked at the now walking away man with annoyance as Domino was walking by.
Later on, Anne and Charlie were in Anne's closet with the door closed as Anne pinned Charlie on his back to the floor playfully as she was kissing him and making out with him as the two felt like they were having some "Alone Time" as they felt like they haven't had that in a while and this was the first time they had that kind of time on Earth. Anne rubbed Charlie's chest while she flopped out her rather long, thick and wide tongue to try and be funny, making Charlie laugh.
Anne even pulled her shirt up and shown Charlie her rather large sized breasts as they looked like quite the big D-cup size and this made Charlie blush so deeply that he nearly felt overheated.
"Whoa! Those are huge!" said Charlie surprised.
They chuckled but then they were interrupted.
"Anne, everything okay in here?" came Mrs. Boonchuy's voice.
"Yes mom! Don't come in. I'm changing into a pair of clothes." lied Anne.
"Okay, wherever Charlie is. Tell him that Sprig is a little hopped up on sugar. He tried some ice cream and he's bouncing off the walls like a rubber ball." said Mrs. Boonchuy.
They heard her leave as her footsteps disappeared. They both let out a sigh of relief as they almost got caught when they were making out and Anne shown Charlie her rather large sized breasts.
"That was a close call." said Anne relieved.
"We do know it's better to wait till we're eighteen to be able to go serious crazy, right?" said Charlie pointing something out. "Or at least till we're in college."
"Big time. Now let's go calm down Sprig from his sugar buzz." said Anne placing her shirt back on.
As Anne and Charlie were downstairs. Sprig was heating up one of Anne's shoes in the microwave while Polly rode Domino around like a horse or bull as she was having a wild time. Charlie turned off the microwave and got out the fire extinguisher as he opened the microwave door and used the fire extinguisher to put out the small flames that were on the shoe. Anne tried grabbing a hold of Polly and Domino to stop Polly from getting hurt. Anne's mother came in with a first aid kit while she saw Charlie putting out the fire to Anne's shoe.
"It's okay, Mrs. Boonchuy. Fire is out. Sprig, don't put that in the microwave. It's flammable." said Charlie reassuring Mrs. Boonchuy and advising Sprig not to put anything flammable in the microwave.
Both Anne and Charlie cleaned up the mess. Both Mr. and Mrs. Boonchuy were surprised that Anne was showing more maturity and responsibility as well as Charlie but they were surprised at how strong and how fast Charlie is. Mr. Boonchuy hugged Anne while Mrs. Boonchuy hugged Charlie. But Mrs. Boonchuy was surprised that Charlie was strong enough to lift her off her feet from the floor as he shown to be strong enough to lift her up.
"Oh my!" chuckled Mrs. Boonchuy.
"Is your boyfriend related to Hercules?" said a surprised Mr. Boonchuy.
"Nope. That would be John Cena." joked Charlie. "Just kidding."
Later on. Anne and Charlie were looking up information on a search engine called "Doogle" as Anne typed in "How to defeat evil Newt King" while Charlie looked like he was sensing the minds and brainwaves of anyone nearby as they were searching for anything that could show them how to defeat King Andrias and stop his plans.
"Mrs. Boonchuy in three, two, one." Charlie told Anne through his mind.
Anne closed the laptop when Mrs. Boonchuy walked in and she pretended that she was playing things casual while Charlie pretended to make Anne laugh as he suddenly farted loudly, making Anne laugh. After she left the room. They wondered where Anne's phone was till they turned to see Sprig was about to put her phone in the microwave but they stopped him before he could put it in there and cause a fire.
There were times when Anne and Charlie looked out the window of the neighborhood but pink curtains were drawn on them by Mr. Boonchuy. Hop Pop saw a butterfly flying outside from the patio till Mr. Boonchuy closed the sliding patio door, Sprig looking at the neighborhood through an upstairs window but was about to go outside till Mr. Boonchuy pulled him back in and closed the window.
As it started to get dark outside. Charlie was leaving Anne's house as he was about to head back to his house. But Anne and Charlie embraced each other while they both kissed each other on the lips. Mr. and Mrs. Boonchuy were about to say something but Hop Pop chimed in and informed them to let them kiss. Anne and Charlie pulled their lips off each other and Charlie hugged the Plantars to let them know he'll be back as they found out that Charlie's house wasn't that far away from Anne's home. His house was nearby down the street towards the right.
They'd see and hear him singing out to the song "Hey, Soul Sister" as he felt like he was on top of the world now that he actually met Anne's parents, got to see what Anne's house was like and that he got Mr. and Mrs. Boonchuy's blessing to continue dating their daughter.
"Hey, soul sister. Ain't that Mr. Mister on the radio, stereo? The way you move ain't fair, you know. Hey, soul sister, I don't wanna miss a single thing you d-o-o-o tonight"
Anne's parents were surprised at how good of a singer Charlie is when they heard his voice.
"Anne, your boyfriend is..." said Mrs. Boonchuy surprised.
"That's my white soul brotha!" said Anne proudly.
As it was night. Anne was sleeping in her bedroom but her phone began to ring. The cellphone ringing woke her up and just when she was about to answer it. Her hair acted like an anchor as something felt like it was being held back, turning to see her mother combing her hair while she was asleep. She looked at her with a nervous grin and chuckle.
At Charlie's house. As he was asleep. His mother, his aunt and the ladies of the house were watching him sleep in his bedroom. Sometime after he got home, one of them gave him a trim as his hair was back to being shoulder length and not down to his back. He was wearing pajamas where his shirt was a comfortable T-shirt and pants that was sapphire blue.
His bedroom had his bed with the headboard against the center of the wall, one window on the right side of his room, his closet was on the opposite side of the room from across the bed, on the right side of the bedroom door was where his drawers were that he kept his socks, underwear and more in there with a mirror above it, an alarm clock on a small drawer next to his bed on the left, a bookshelf next to the drawers that he kept his underwear and socks in, a desk on the left side of the room and next to the window.
He had hiking and trekking sandals on the floor next to his bed for him to put on when he would wake up in the morning. He had a poster of a male adult with spikey gold hair, Caucasian skin, appearing to be in his thirties or forties, wearing an orange and blue Gi, a kanji turtle insignia symbol on the left side of his clothing with the letters "DBZ" at the bottom of the poster but a second poster on right side of the window that shown a male adult samurai in a white kimono, Geta sandals, and his long jet black hair kept tied in a Chonmage. He had a stoic facial expression with a samurai sword with the words "Gotta get back. Back to the past" on the top and "Samurai Jack (Watch Out!)" at the bottom.
The ladies of the house looked to see Charlie was mumbling something in his sleep in a deep yet low toned voice.
"Long ago in a distant land, a power-hungry king, deceived his entire land, and he unleashed an unspeakable evil! But a foolish samurai warrior boy wielding a magic sword, came from another world through a portal, stepped forth to oppose him"
Charlie raised an arm up and mimicked sword slashing sounds as he mimicked it very realistically three times.
"Before the final blow was struck, the evil king fled into hiding but knew that he had knowledge of how he can return home, where he had to hunt him down! Now the boy seeks to locate the evil king to return to his home world, undo the evil that is the corrupt ruler and bring forth eternal peace to the land that is Amphibia"
Charlie went back to sleeping while the women of the house were talking to each other in whispers.
"I'm so glad he's back home." said Kikyo.
"It feels kind of strange that he's gotten over his daddy issues after being gone for less than seven months and he no longer fears old men with canes. The Plantars and Anne must have helped him through a lot, especially that elderly franchute Hop Pop. Calling him papi." said Elena.
"I sort of miss the old Charlie where we had to frequently be his mamá osos to show the love to their cachorro de oso." said Selena.
"We all knew he'd grow up one day. We just figured it would be till he was in high school or about to graduate." said Sonya.
"Ladies, he's still our little bear cub. He's just going through development." said Hayami.
It wasn't long till they looked into the bedroom again as they saw Kagura was now in the room. She probably got passed them quietly and they saw Kagura was rubbing Charlie's stomach while giving him a kiss to his forehead. She gave them a wink and big lipped grin.
"Welcome home. Our samurai warrior." Kagura whispered to him.
The Next Morning, Anne's House
Anne was walking inside the bathroom to brush her teeth as she opened up the medicine cabinet. She grabbed a tube of toothpaste but once she closed it. Her mother was seen standing next to her with a green toothbrush.
"Looking for this?" said Mrs. Boonchuy.
Anne jumped as she was startled, squeezing the tube of toothpaste as some of it landed on her hair. She was wide eyed as her eyes looked red from waking up in the morning.
"MOOOOOOOOOOM!" Anne screamed.
Anne charged out of the bathroom in annoyance while Mrs. Boonchuy smiled and poked her head through the door.
"But it's safer to get in pairs." said Mrs. Boonchuy.
"Emergency family meeting! Major boundary violation!" cried Anne.
Sprig came around nearby with a tube of red lipstick, some of it was smeared on his lips and mouth.
"Family? Should we come too? Also, do you have any more of these candy bars?" said Sprig.
"That's lipstick." corrected Mrs. Boonchuy.
Sprig had looked at the tube of lipstick and out flopped his long, thick and wide tongue which looked like it was colored a shade of red instead of it being light green.
"Sorry Mrs. B." Sprig apologized.
She came over to Sprig and took hold of it as she felt that Sprig's tongue was stretchy, sticky, slimy and she could see it was huge.
"Drink some water to wash it off. Also, your tongue is huge and rather stretchy." Mrs. Boonchuy noticed.
"I get that a lot." replied Sprig.
Everyone came down to the first floor of the house which the Plantars and Anne's parents were sitting down on the couch. Anne was pacing back and forth. They were in the living room and Anne spoke once she stopped pacing.
"Mom, Dad, I'm really happy to be home. I know it's a big deal me and Charlie were gone for so long and I get that it's scary to think about losing me again." said Anne with a nervous face as her right eye twitched. "But I need a little bit of space or I'm gonna lose my mind. You guys are being way too overprotective."
"Anne, I think you're exaggerating. This is a big house. We all have plenty of space to breathe." said Mr. Boonchuy looking like he misunderstood. "Makes me wonder how it is for Charlie at his place. He's the only guy in a house full of eight adult women."
"He might outrival Hefner." joked Mrs. Boonchuy with a chuckle. "How does he handle all of them ladies in one house?"
"He's grown used to it." Anne pointed out.
Mr. Boonchuy felt Polly's leg kicking his face as he looked to her direction which was causing him no pain. It didn't hurt him at all, literally.
"Oops! Sorry! Just practicing my jump kick." said Polly as she jumped up to give his face another kick but lost her balance as she fell and rolled down onto the couch like a roll of toilet paper going down a hill.
"Ok. I'm listening." said Mr. Boonchuy now understanding.
"We're tired of being shut up inside. Let me and the Plantars out. Just for an hour. I'll take care of them and we won't go far." Anne kindly requested.
Hop Pop, Sprig and Polly came to Anne's side while they had excited grins and a wide-eyed twinkle in their eyes as they too felt coped up in the house like Anne. Her parents still felt like it was a bad idea.
"Absolutely not." Mrs. Boonchuy denied.
"Oh, c'mon! I can't go out alone for an hour?" Anne argued.
"Last time you went out alone, you, and even Charlie got trapped in another world for seven months." Mr. Boonchuy pointed out.
"That is a pretty good point." said Sprig seeing they had a point.
Anne shushed Sprig as she wasn't liking the idea of being kept inside the house and they too didn't like being coped up inside ether.
"Look...your father and I have to go to the market. We'll talk later." said Mrs. Boonchuy getting up from the couch.
Just when Anne's parents were about to head for the door. Anne and the Plantars got in front of the door as they saw an opportunity to get out of the house or to prove to them they can be trusted.
"That's perfect! Let us come." said Anne. "I know what you're gonna say: "We can't take the Plantars out in public". But the market's always empty except for a few old people. Plus, I'll make them disguises and take full responsibility for their safety." she informed as she hugged the frog family.
"You think you can take care of the whole family?" said Mrs. Boonchuy with a grin and one eyebrow raised.
"No offense, Anne, and I seriously don't mean to be offensive, but you're the literal poster child for hating responsibility. Just look at what you drew as a kid." said Mr. Boonchuy as he shown a picture that Anne once drew.
There was a poster that Anne drew that got posted on the wall which shown what Anne looked like at age six with a different hairstyle as it looked like a crayon drawing. It had her name and age written on it when she drew it and at the bottom it read "I HATE responsibility"
"Anne, Sprig, Polly, Hop Pop, it's me, Charlie. Let me convince them. Also, Anne, that poster you drew, kind of funny. You should see the poster I drew when I was six"
Anne and the Plantars heard Charlie's voice speak to them in their heads which they could tell he was communicating with them telepathically. But suddenly, both Mr. and Mrs. Boonchuy heard what sounded like a voice in their heads. They had no idea who this voice was that spoke into their heads but it sounded like a mighty sounding like male's voice.
"Mr. and Mrs. Boonchuy. You love your daughter and the Plantars as much as Anne loves them and both of you, don't you? Give them a chance. If anything goes wrong, then you can decide if they should still be on lockdown. Trust in them as you do trust in the lord"
"OK, yes, but I've changed." Anne pointed out.
"Look, I'm a parent too, and I know what Anne and Charlie used to be like. So trust me, I get it." said Hop Pop trying to convince them.
"Not helping." said Anne annoyed.
"But she grew into a town protector. A hero, voted "Frog of the Year" by frogs that used to HATE her. Were there bumps in the road? Sure. Did she burn the town down once? Yeah. Did she almost get us eaten by a large creature numerous times? Also yes. Did she-? Emm... What was I saying?" said Hop Pop losing his train of thought.
"Hop Pop!" said Anne sounding tense.
"Well, Anne has grown up a lot in her time with us. Even Charlie grew up a lot in his time with us. He used to really not like the idea of talking about his problems to anyone because he didn't want to be negatively judged as weak because of it, he used to be afraid of old men with canes due to a traumatic experience when he was little, he had dad issues because his real dad was never there for him, it took him a lot of courage to confess his feelings to Anne and to become her boyfriend. But he too was a good influence on our hometown. He helped out a lot of people, helped out the elderly, looked after unattended children when their parents were busy or when they were unaccompanied by an adult, he's even suggested natural healing remedies for all sorts of uses when people needed it. He was voted most valuable citizen, he's settled conflict between people, he's even helped our mayor comfortably accept and come out as someone who prefers both the male and female genders when he struggled with coming-out with his gender orientation and he's never discriminated against it. He did attract a lot of attention from the girls, but he only wanted Anne as his girlfriend. Anne and Charlie have become like two more grandchildren to me. But Charlie has proven he's not perfect and he accepted that." Hop Pop continued to prove his point.
"The old one's got a point. Ever since she got back, she has seemed... a little more mature." said Mr. Boonchuy taking notice.
"She used to beg me not to take her to market." Mrs. Boonchuy pointed out. "That, and now that she's dating Charlie, a really nice boy both from when them women told us about him and now that we've met him in person. He really wanted our approval to keep dating Anne and I like the idea he asked for our approval. The first day the Plantars were at our house, he kept a good eye on them, especially when one of them almost started a fire with the microwave. That explains why he used the fire extinguisher."
"Give them a chance, Mr. and Mrs. Boonchuy." the mighty male's voice spoke in their heads.
Mr. Boonchuy and Mrs. Boonchuy both wondered who that voice was or where that voice came from. They suspected the voice in their head was their conscience taking over. Mr. Boonchuy cleared his throat as they've been convinced.
"Ok, Anne." Mr. Boonchuy responded. "We're willing to give it a try."
They gasped loudly with excited facial expressions. They knew that Hop Pop and Charlie's telepathic abilities have worked in convincing them. Anne came running to hug them.
"But you stay with us at all times like how Charlie advised you and the Plantars to stay by his side when you've encountered something dangerous. And if anything goes wrong, it's back to lockdown." Mrs. Boonchuy warned.
"Thank you so much! I promise you won't regret it." said Anne happily.
Anne scooped up the Plantars and took them upstairs to her room as she was explaining to them what Earth is like as it wasn't like Amphibia when she pointed out that the bugs and birds were small and not gigantic like the ones from Amphibia. She reassured them everything would be alright as they knew it was going to be great that nothing was going to kill them for a change.
Back in Amphibia
King Andrias was sending a robot through a now opened portal to earth with the Calamity Box now activated. He had a cast around his left leg and he was using a crutch to keep himself steady on his feet. The frog like robot was a bit different from one of the robots that Anne, Charlie and the Plantars remembered.
"Kill the girl and the boy, get the book. And be warned, Anne has the power of the stone in her and Charlie's powers have fully developed. He's the last of the Leotárians." warned and advised King Andrias. "Ow, damn that monkey. That machete hurt. I'll be feeling better once I find one of them golden apples."
The frog like robot went through the portal to earth and once the box was closed, the portal closed as well as King Andrias shot a stoic expression towards Marcy who was in a coma like state as she was in what looked like a tank like capsule which she was inside a rejuvenation tank as it shown she was still alive with an oxygen mask over her mouth and nose so she could breathe.
"Well, Marcy, your friends are about to be eliminated from the equation. And as for you, my dear... your part is just beginning." said King Andrias.
