Star Wars/Evangelion crossover
Chapter seven
Twists and Discoveries
Both master and apprentice were already a good distance away from the ship with their latest acquisition. Now on their way to claim the third Obelisk.
"Sensei have you ever fought anything that big?" asked Shinji getting a shake of the head no
"I've battled against creatures large and small, I've taken out Republic walkers, but never anything of that massive size. It was quite...fun taking on a creature of that size, as much fun as I've had in a while."
Shinji was reminded of when he first took on the angels, granted it was in Unit 01. It did feel exhilarating and besides some mild bruises and scratches that will heal in time but Shinji's confidence increased just a bit.
"I sense your elation apprentice, did you feel this way when you fought those "Angels" back in your world?"
"No, I just felt relief after it was over. Mainly because I did battle inside the Evangelion. It was more than unpleasant sensei."
"I see, you proved your skill without it. Take pride in what you did today, the fruits of your training no doubt." Asajj said feeling pride in her apprentice for the first time.
The way Master Narec had felt pride in her at one time, was a good feeling.
"Your training, more than my skill. Thank you sensei, I still have much to learn."
"We both will learn as we go on, so maintain your focus."
"Right."
"Epk Epk Epk." Laserbeak chirped on Shinji's shoulder
"Are you sure?" asked Shinji
"What did the droid say?"
"He's saying he's getting readings up ahead. Active readings" Shinji replied
"Active you say? Interesting maybe there's something we could use."
While the two pressed forward an invisible presence watched them from a distance from the tops of the large debris. The presence was far enough to avoid detection from the two force users, it leaped off the debris and proceeded to follow them silently. Master and apprentice made it to their intended destination which was a medium-sized large pod-like structure at the end of the ravine down below, slowly but surely the pair climbed down, to get a closer look. Upon closer inspection, Asajj's eyes widened in complete and utter shock and surprise.
"By the Galaxy! It cannot be!" Asajj whispered
"What is it Sensei?"
"On the planet Rattatak, where I was sold into slavery, I heard stories of teleportation pods designed by Rakatans of the planet Rattaka. Their technology was far more advanced than anything in the known galaxy at the time. But this was never proven as they are or were near extinction." Asajj explained
"This is a ..teleportation pod of sorts?" asked Shinji as Laserbeak scanned the large device from his shoulder.
"Hah ha, it would seem I've once more gotten one up on my former masters. They never gave a thought to having this technology at their disposal. It would've greatly improved our chances in the war."
"How can we get it working?" asked Shinji looking over it
"We must be cautious Shinji. The Rakatans weren't all that forthcoming with their technology, even hiding their secrets from the Republic."
"I'll be careful sensei, Laserbeak can you look over this thing and see if we can get it activated."
"Kensuke would be going crazy over this." Shinji thought
The little bird droid flew from Shinji's shoulder and from its scan, found a small opening where it could fit through. Using its nozzle, it generated an electric spark cutting through the metal, waddling inside, bypassing several wires and rods, Laserbeak slipped down landing inside the teleportation pad.
"Epk Epk" Laserbeak chirped
The droid hopped on the console undeterred by the dust and rust that the machine has garnered over the course of time on this barren planet. It pressed some buttons all across the keyboard until LB finally hit the button that opened the door and activated the screen which had a slight crack across it.
Whoosp!
"Epk, Epk Epk."
"Good work Laserbeak." Shinji praised entering the pod with his master in tow while the drone bird landed on his shoulder
Fortunately, the pod was large enough for two people to fit in.
"Incredible after all these years this machine still functions."
Shinji pressed a few buttons cautiously, although he couldn't understand the text on the screen, he had never seen this type of language before, it wasn't Japanese or English.
"This dialect is ancient, from an older time, even I can't decipher it. It's not basic, " said Asajj examining the screen.
"Do you think there's another one of these teleporters nearby or somewhere on this planet?" asked Shinji
"It's a strong possibility, based on what we've seen on this planet."
Shinji pressed a few keys on the console, and the strange letters on the cracked screen shifted. He pressed a few more keys the letters switched again. Shinji pressed the keys one more time, and then pushed a larger key, and the machine powered up, albeit slowly the pod started shaking almost violently as the floor below their feet began to glow bright blue.
"Okay now, something is happening," Shinji said looking around almost alarmed
"Brace yourself!" Asajj shouted
"Epk Epk Epk!" Laserbeak beeped in alarm
WHIRR WHIRR WHIRR WHIRR
A ring of light encircled the pair, it went up and down. Up and down at a rapid pace. Then the pair with Laserbeak was engulfed in a bright blue light and vanished without a trace.
(Elsewhere)
Abigor and Serleena, traveling on their respective speeders(Old Republic speeder bikes) stopped short and looked into the air as if sensing something.
"Serleena, did you-" Abior said
"Yes, movement in the force, our targets are on the move but where?" asked Serleena
Abigor closed his eyes, using force to try to locate their targets. The Dathomirian and her apprentice. He furrowed his brow and his face frowned in annoyance.
"What do you see Abigor?"
"The force is..in flux I cannot quite get a fix on their location, but I'm seeing a strange massive craft of sorts, unlike anything I've seen before."
"Strange craft" Serleena repeated
"I don't know what it means. We should keep moving, night fall is approaching. We don't want to run into Zaterrans." Abigor growled
"I thought we killed them all."
"No, just some, the rest have been underground, hiding like insects, since the final battle for the pyramid."
With that the pair started up their speeders and rode off once more, unaware that an owl-like creature circled above them and a pair of eyes watched the two sith acolytes.
"Grrrr."
(With Shinji and Asajj)
WHIRR WHIRR WHIRR
In a flash of blue light, Shinji, Asajj, and Laserbeak all reappeared in another pod, but this one was in better condition.
"Sensei, what the hell just happened?" asked Shinji completely startled feeling himself over
"Are we still here?"
"We are still in our whole forms apprentice," Asajj answered in relief feeling herself also, from her body to the top of her head, which she felt something she hadn't felt in decades.
"Hair? My hair is growing back?!" thought the Dathomirain her eyes widening feeling tiny strands on her head
Shinji touched the wall and the entrance to the pod opened looking around the area, they found they were in a debris-filled place, once more.
" Where could we be now?"
"This really could have come in handy during the attack on Kamino," Asajj said inspecting the outside of the pod
"Sensei this way!" her apprentice called already a good distance away from her "I think I found where we are."
Curiosity overtook her and went over to see want her apprentice saw, walking next to him her eyes widened this was a familiar area, with the same large contraption Shinji described as an airplane. But the pair were at the far end on the east, staring at the broken tail end of it.
"The teleportation device took us back here?"
"Incredible."
"Epk Epk Epk." Laserbeak chirped on Shinji's shoulder causing him to look
Looking up at the sky the sun was clearly beginning to lower and the skies were darkening, the night was coming, and they were unintentionally further away from their destination.
"Come, we will take shelter in your primitive ship," Asajj said
"It's an airplane sensei," Shinji corrected
"Whatever."
Moving carefully through the debris of the desolate land, the pair made their way back to the massive air. Shinji with little effort used the force to open the door, and jumped inside, with his master following suit.
"Not that long ago I had trouble jumping up here." Shinji muttered, "And I had a fear of heights."
"This plane should still have plenty of supplies left over sensei, I'll start looking."
"Very well, I'll explore, maybe I'll find something intriguing about your world," Asajj said looking around the dead plane.
Shinji began exploring, he had never really been on an airplane before, and he found their previous supplies and attire nothing short of a good eye and closed surroundings.
Finding the necessities to get through the night wasn't that hard, blankets, pillows water bottles, and even non-alcohol and alcoholic drinks. Shinji wondered if Asajj even drank alcohol, she didn't seem like the drinking type, not in the way Misato was. Asajj for her part was still exploring mostly out of curiosity too, her fingers hit the switch once more but this time turning on a screen on the wall.
Its display read movie selection, and on top of the current selection list was a movie called "Man of Steel". Curious she tapped the screen, and it went to another selection, a movie called Terminator 2 Judgement day, Asajj tapped another selection, and this one read ' Die Hard '.
"Intriguing," she murmured
On the other side of the wall facing the passengers, a screen lit up, tilting her head the film was played. On the screen, it showed a building full of hostages a man staring down a high building with men in blue congregating down below.
The man talking on a communication device, sauntering into a hallway after killing the opposition that stood in his way. Shinji had just emerged from the other end, with two sets of blankets and pillows, only to see his sensei watching another in-flight movie. Looking past her, it was an American movie Kensuke introduced him to, although he couldn't remember which one it was. All he remembered it was like a Christmas movie.
"Sensei." Shinji cut in interrupting her viewing
"Y-yes," she answered
"I have our supplies sensei."
"Hm, good, apprentice tell me why do your people have these erm ...viewings?" Asajj question
" These movies were mainly for entertainment purposes, flights are rather long and could sometimes stretch for hours. We don't have the luxury or technology of lightspeed to travel instantaneously around the planet." Shinji explained
"Hmm I see, were there no other ways to pass the time on this craft?" Asajj questions not taking her eyes off the movie
"Well lots of ways depending on the passengers themselves. Reading, listening to music, watching other personal movies on electronic devices if the plane allows it." Shinji said
"Hmm. I've never known such luxuries, my life was dedicated to the pursuit of power and survival."
"This..movie you call it, intrigues me. Perhaps we could learn something from this, Die Hard film." the Dathomirain suggested.
This surprised Shinji a great deal, throughout the last several days, his sensei was pretty much belittling his planet and his people ever since they had met, but she had taken an interest in one of their customs. Nodding at her, Shinji, prepped the blankets and their respective pillows on the seats, after clearing out the skeletal remains. Both master and apprentice sat down to watch the rest of the film, almost getting halfway into the movie.
The man in question whom Shinji explained was the hero of the movie holding a communication device, carrying a rifle in hand, after eliminating more of the opposition and making his way up the elevator, while cheekily replying to the villain of the film.
"Yippe Kiya Motherf*"
As night fell two figures, were seen outside on top of the wreckage and debris. Cloaked in shadow, yellow reptilian eyes could be seen looking toward the crashed airship.
"A-Are C-certain that the two went inside ?" a voice asked getting a nod
"Y-yessss, the holders of the Obelisks are in there." a second voice replied
"During the war, we could never get close to the Obelisks from Jedi or Sith. With Them gone the pyramid will be ours for the taking. The Obelisks are the key."
"S-shall we go in and take them now?" asked the first figure
"No, not yet. The Sith acolytes are also on the hunt, fortunately, they are too far from this location. We have the element of surprise, we wait and continue to conceal our presence until the time is right, until they emerge." said the second figure
The first hissed at the plane, while the second walked off in the cover of nightfall.
(Next morning)
The movie had long since ended and it was on the selection menu, and master and apprentice were almost cuddled close together, Shinji began to stir, and as he felt soft breathing on him, his eyes slowly opened and nearly widened at the sudden closeness of his beautiful master.
"Huh oh," Shinji whispered in a panic
He was filled with even more panic when he felt his hand interlocked with hers. It was the same as his vision from before, Shinji felt the smoothness of her bone-white skin, it was almost like feeling silk. His master began to stir, and she began to feel the softness of her apprentice's skin. Her eyes opened slowly.
"Hmm." Asajj hummed feeling her hand intertwined with her apprentice's
She then realized it was exactly like her vision, her cheeks turning a pink hue briefly, then slowly pulled her hand away from Shinji's. Both stood up from their seats and stretch their legs.
" Sleeping on this plane, it felt like I was sleeping on a ship, again," Asajj commented
" That's the first time I've ever slept on a plane. Even though this plane isn't in the air." Shinji said
"Epk, Epk, " Laserbeak chirped leaping up on Shinji's shoulder.
"We should get going. I sense we'll have more obstacles in our path."
"Y-yes sensei."
The pair ate a quick breakfast from their rations, and quickly exited their place of refuge before they could start their back on their journey, Lasberbeak, chirped alarmingly. His head goes up and down as if he was detecting something nearby.
"Epk Epk Epk Epk!" Lasberbeak chirped in furious alarm
"What is it Laserbeak? What's wrong? you're detecting heat sources nearby?!"
Asajj readied herself, sensing something or someone was watching them.
"Droid scan the area from above, Shinji be on guard," Asajj said
"I'm ready sensei." her apprentice replied taking out his own lightsaber while Laserbeak took to the air
"Let's move."
The pair started off back to the teleportation device, seeing as it was a short distance away. It would put them back on the path to the third Obelisk, a hot breeze blew their way, and creaks were being heard. Then the sound of footsteps caught the Dathomirian's ears. Narrowing her eyes to piles and piles of twisted debris, knowing anything or anyone could be hiding in between them. Something invisible was silently trailing them from above.
"Stay alert, all this debris could be used as cover for an ambush."
"I sense, something is watching us," Shinji said looking above, with Lasberbeak flying overhead.
"HISSSS."
That sound caused the master and apprentice to stop, even though they were getting close to their destination. Just then there was movement on the junkpile causing Asajj to react by force pushing the wreckage above their path.
PUSH! WHOOSH!
Two camouflaged figures appeared in front of Asajj and Shinji, who in turn, activated their lightsabers. The figures decloaked, revealing themselves to be humanoid reptiles (Think Reptile from MK) dressed in strange garb one tall and the other short both with green skin and matching eyes. The taller one appeared to be unarmed, while the shorter one appeared to have a lightsaber if the platinum silver cylindrical object attached to his waist was any indication.
"They are Sssith after all, brother." said the short one taking the cylindrical object from his waist
"It would appear so," replied the taller one eyeing the Obelisks tied around Asajj's waist.
"Identify yourselves!" the assassin ordered
"I'm Lashor, and this is my brother, Krass. And we'll be taking those Obelisks now." Lashor hissed dangerously
"No you won't." was Asajj's response
This caused their new enemy to smile maliciously. And from his hand, a spear materialized from his hand. His brother turned on his lightsaber was colored green.
"You assume we're giving you a choice. We're not,"
"I took this off one of the Jedi, now I will add your lightsaber to my collection." Krass hissed to Shinji.
"You're welcomed to try," Shinji replied narrowing his eyes
All the while Asajj smirked, at her apprentice's growing confidence, she could see that he was more secure with himself than before. Without another word master and apprentice charged forth. Asajj clashed her lightsabers with Lashor's staff which to her surprise didn't cut through, it. There were few, lightsaber-resistant materials in the known galaxy.
Lashor pressed his advantage using his brute strength, striking vertically, putting the Dathomirian on the defensive, then switched to surprising quick strikes, meanwhile her apprentice, pressed his advantage, striking quicker and harder, with his opponent using his unorthodox method, while Krass was on defense by this young whelp.
"You are good, but not good enough. I will be feasting on your carcass." Krass hissed
"There's more to me than what you see reptile face!" Shinji spat back pushing his advantage
Shinji hit a stab, only for Krass to block it downward then took swipes at his head with his sharpened claws, which Shinji on an ingrained instinct dodged by way of impressive backflips.
"I did not know I could do that, Yah!" Shinji exclaimed before clashing his blade with his.
Meanwhile, the fight between Asajj and Lashor continued, with the Dathomirian getting some distance, Lashor hissed and whipped out his long tongue, striking near her feet, with an unexpected effect. The portion of ground burned with acid, revealing Lashor's tongue was laced with acid.
"Uhg" Asajj blanched with disgust
Clashing her blades with his staff, very surprised that it was resisting her sabers, only certain materials in her galaxy could resist lightsabers.
"This staff what is it?" Asajj gritted through her teeth
"This weapon I pilfered off a Sith Acolyte during their skirmish with the J-Jedi." replied Lashor "He claimed it was made from Phrik, it resists lightsabers."
CLASH CLASH CLASH
"A weapon is good as the hand who wields it. I've faced staff-wielding warriors like you before. And I'm still standing, they're not." Asajj stated
Asajj used the force to lift the debris around her and tossed it at Lashor who narrowly avoided it, she used her speed and struck quickly using unorthodox methods, catching Lashor off guard, but managed to push back using his brute strength. Back to Shinji, he followed his sensei's example, using force to push back his opponent, he used the great speed gained from his training, to clash with his blade, catching Krass off balance. Then he switched to an underhanded method, while Krass barely parried, locking his Lightsaber with Shinji's.
"You're good for a young Sssith." Krass hissed "But you will still fall, and your lightsaber will be mine, I'd rather like the color."
"I'm no Sith, and I'm no fan of snakes, and I've gotten used to the color."
Both clashed again, Shinji ducked a swipe, and blocked a strike then flipped to get some distance, Krass fired multiple shots of acid at Shinji, making him dodge on reflex. Krass aimed right for his lightsaber firing right at the hilt and damaging it slightly,
"Argh damn it!" Shinji cursed
Krass moved in to take advantage of Shinji's momentary distraction and was about to stab at Shinji only for him to roll out of the way, but Krass headbutts Shinji into a wall.
"Argh Umph" Shinji grunted crashing into a wall.
CREAK! CRUMBLE!
This caused a fuel line from a crashed ship, to leak a flammable substance. Shinji rolled out of the way of another strike, then blocked another strike, only for his lightsaber to fizzle and deactivate,
"What no! not now!" Shinji exclaimed in frustration
Shinji quickly force-pushed Krass into some rocks, only for Krass, to scurry up quickly.
"Getting desperate, are we? Good!" Krass exclaimed lunging at him with his lightsaber
Shinji used the force, to levitate the larger debris around him, and tossed it at Krass, in an effort to slow him down.
WHOOSH WHOOSH WHOOSH!
The crafty reptile dodged up and down, and then sliced through others, all the while slowly flying around the battlezone to aid his master. Although Shinji had plenty of debris, he knew he couldn't keep it up, lifting a large piece of wing from a ship, and hurling it at his foe, striking true. That bought Shinji some time, he pressed the switch on his saber furiously.
"Come on, Ugh this piece of junk! "
BRZZZ
Krass regained his bearings and lunged forth at Shinji again, clashing his blade with Shinji again this time pushing the boy, against the wall.
"You wasted your chance to kill me. Can't s-summon more debris boy to use against me boy!" hissed Krass
"Ugh" Shinji grunted back not seeing Laserbeak hoover above him poised to assist
"Next time, you have a chance to kill someone, Don't hesitate."
As The reptile was about to strike Shinji down, Laserbeak shined a light in his eyes.
"Brgh!" Krass yelled out
That gave Shinji the opening he needed and stabbed Krass straight through the chest, then force-pushed him away. Shinji's lightsaber shut off once more, much to his irritation.
"Thanks for the advice," Shinji told the dead body
"Krass! No!" Lashor yelled seeing his brother felled by the apprentice of Asajj
That distraction gave Asajj the opening she needed. She double-kicked Lashor into a pile of junk where the oil spill was, then used the force to trap him.
"Argh No! I cannot die like this!" hissed Lashor
Asajj looked down at the oil spill, and swung her lightsaber, creating a spark, creating a stream of fire, that traveled towards Lashor whose eyes widened, the Dathomirarin assassin leaped back to create separation.
"Yippe Ki-ya mother-" Asajj hissed
BOOM BOOM
The explosions rocked the area, the flames engulfing Lashor and ending the struggle. And just like that it was over.
"Excellent work apprentice, although it is apparent I will need to teach you some form of unarmed combat," Asajj said
"I understand sensei, but my lightsaber I think it's broken," Shinji replied looking at his damaged weapon
"Hmm, the saber hilt is only a vessel, the Kyber crystal inside is what matters. The heart of the blade," Asajj explained
To demonstrate, Asajj uses her telekinesis to take apart Shinji's damaged weapon to show him. What he was seeing was a cracked red crystal, Shinji gasped in amazement, he had seen diamonds on his planet, but this far exceeded any sort of jewelry on this. The weapon was damaged beyond repair, useless to her apprentice.
"Epk Epk Epk." Laserbeak chirped getting his attention
Besides the dead body of Krass was his lightsaber, (Think the defender from Jedi academy). Shinji picked it up and examined it.
"That might be a more suitable hilt for you apprentice, come we must continue to back to the teleporter," Asajj said taking point
Shinji nodded putting the crystal in his pocket, and Laserbeak, landed on his shoulder, causing him to smile.
"Thank you for your help Laserbeak." Shinji praised "You're certainly more helpful than the stupid bird I had to live with."
(In the Evaverse PenPen sneezes)
"Epk Epk Epk." Laserbeak chirped in response.
"It's a story for another time."
(Much later)
Asajj and Shinji made it back to the teleporter and used it once more to put them back on course. As the pair followed the compass, they came across a ruined encampment. There wasn't much in the way except for battle droids of the Old Republic that were destroyed. Asajj commented on Shinji's progress so far, that he killed an adversary on his own. In this world, there wasn't much choice, no room for mercy. Doing what must be done in order to survive, the pair crossed more ridges, until they happened upon a dried-up lake with a large building in the center, upon closer inspection, almost like a large base, much like the CIS base on Chirstophsis.
The pair tread cautiously, unaware that there were a pair of eyes watching from afar. Two entered the base, it was dark, and Shinji quickly had Laserbeak give some light. There were canisters littered on the ground and supply boxes in the entryway. Upon going through another door, the pair entered a hangar, full of wrecked vehicles and destroyed starships.
"Sensei are those.." Shinji began to say
"Follow closely Shinji," Asajj cut him off.
As he did unbeknownst to him Shinji had crossed a low laser line, on the ceiling two turret guns activated.
RING RING RING RING RING
PEW PEW PEW PEW PEW
"Take cover!" Asajj ordered
Shinji took cover behind a container, Asajj activated her lightsabers and deflected the laser bolts back at gun turrets destroying them instantaneously.
"It would appear this base is still active, remain on guard. "
"Where are we going Sensei?"
"To find the main control room, we shall see if it has the information that we require. Your droid should prove quite useful here."
"Epk Epk Epk." the droid chirped
"I think she is too," Shinji said back
"What did he say?"
"He says he thinks you're beginning to like him," Shinji replied
"I tolerate the droid, because of how useful he is." his sensei quipped back
Nothing more was said as they ventured deeper into the hanger bay. Walking amongst all the destroyed starfighters, weapons, and equipment. Laserbeak turned its head and noticed something rather large in the far corner, suddenly flying off Shinji's shoulder much to his surprise.
"Laserbeak what is it?"
"Epk Epk, Epk." Laserbeak chirped as landed on the ground shining his light on something hanging on the ceiling support structures, damaged and in disrepair
Something big, that the little droid found was large titanic-like, dark purple almost black robotic, almost humanoid in a sense. It had stifle-jointed legs and large arms that looked like wings at a glance. It had slender claw-like fingers, and its blank face was a visor.
"Laserbeak what the hell is this thing?" Shinji asked
"Epk Epk Epk." Laserbeakbeak chirped examining the horned crest with sharp edges at the bottom
"Some kind of giant droid?" Asajji examined "I've never seen anything like this."
"It's .. familiar to you Laserbeak? " Shinji asked as the droid chirped back
"Come, we must keep moving."
Shinji looked back at the large mechanoid before following his master. Little did they know, the large chassis of the mechanoid lit up but only briefly. Master and apprentice went through one of the corridors of the base, walking under loose wires and pipes, it wasn't long before they reached the data room, or what they thought was the data room, it appeared to be a control room, it was here Shinji began to feel something here, something whispering to him. It was apparent that his echo was calling again, walking cautiously up to the console Shinji placed his hands on the board and closed his eyes.
"We've suffered many casualties, but we've managed to hold out. But that large droid we captured, looking at it, it's... unsettling." a voice said
"I agree, where did it come from? It doesn't match anything on record, it's larger than any droid ever created." another voice said
"You don't think the Sith Empire could have created it with their alchemy? According to Master Zala, to him, it felt alive of sorts"
"We don't know enough about sith alchemy to be certain, so it's a possibility, but I think it's something else, something not of any known core worlds, but something else, something sinister. "
"Well will have to worry about that thing later. Right now Master Zala wants to know ... wait did that thing just move?!"
"No, I don't think it did, you were saying Master Zala."
"He wanted to know if Master Haddock managed to hide the Obelisk. This particular Obelisk is said to be very important. It contains knowledge of techniques. That's why he wanted it hidden, in ridges of Agi to the west of here."
"And the compass portion that tells of its location is still her- wah! that thing moved!"
That broke Shinji out of his trance, his mind shifted back to the large robot back in the hanger.
"Well apprentice, what did you see?" asked Asajj
"Sensei may I see the compass?" asked Shinji
Asajj raised an eyebrow but complied nonetheless, giving it to her apprentice. Shinji, in turn, closed his eyes opening himself to the force, waving his hand the compass cube levitated, and opening it fully, Asajj let out a slight gasp, inside was a dark blue circle with several pieces missing.
"What is this?"
"Some pieces of the compass are missing, Sensei that's what I saw," Shinji answered
"Lucky for us, one of the pieces is here in this base," Shinji added
"Then we should get moving." his sensei said taking point exiting out the way they came
"There's something else Sensei,"
"What is it?"
"That thing in the hangar where we entered, my vision told me it's alive, somehow."
"That giant droid is alive?!"
Asajj was visibly startled at this revelation but steeled herself.
"Should we come across it, and it comes to life, we will deal with it."
"Yes sensei."
The pair continued down the corridor making their way through the debris and ruins. They searched every room, along the way, meeting some insects that made the base their home but dispatched them just as quickly. Going through more debris, the pair made their deeper inside the base, crawling through every hole every crevice there was until they happened upon a marked door.
"Let's check behind this door," Asajj said activating her saber
She cut a precise hole in the door carefully and stepped through, upon which they discovered (or at least to Asajj) it was another communications room, but on one of those consoles was a large cylindrical tube containing something rather small all most dime sized.
"This must be it."
Shinji pressed some buttons on the console to get the tube opened. After a few seconds, the tube opened releasing the piece inside. Asajj took out the compass and opened it and placed the piece inside. The cube-shaped object began to glow and shift.
CLICK

CLINK
"We have what we came for, let us depart," Asajj said the compass shifting back to its previous setting
The pair started off, back the way they came once more going through the debris, making it back to the hangar where the giant robot was kept suspended. Shinji glanced up at the dark purple robot feeling his uneasiness return. Asajj stopped short furrowing her brow, her senses going haywire, and Shinji had the same feeling. Something or someone was on the other side of the door awaiting them.
Slipping through the cracked doorway, master and apprentice were both greeted by the sight of two sith warriors, one familiar Togruta and a pale-skinned man dressed in ninja-like attire standing there waiting for the two of them.
"You," Asajj hissed glaring at Serleena
"We meet again Dathomirain, " Serleena said her eyes glancing at her apprentice sensing that he has grown a bit in power
"Surrender the Obelisks to us now. And we might let you live." the masked man said
"No," Asajj replied taking out her two lightsabers
Both acolytes turned on their lightsabers in response. While Asajj and Shinji turned on their lightsabers.
"Good."
"Serleena, that's the Dathomirian's apprentice yes?" asked the man
"Indeed, Abigor. The master wants him alive." Serleena answered, "It shouldn't be too difficult, the boy is a novice."
Without wasting another word they battled, Serleena and Asajj clashed blades, and Shinji and the man called Abigor stood face to face, before lunging at each other. Both males clashed matching blow for blow, as Shinji used unorthodox methods to catch the man off balance. Asajj and Serleena resumed their battle from the previous days before. Asajj used more quick powered strikes against pushing the Togruta on defense.
"You've been holding out on me." The Togruta observe gritting her teeth,"
"I wanted to see if you were worthy of my true strength." Asajj quipped
"And you believe I'm not?!" Serleena shot back insulted
"Serleena says you're a novice, yet you fight like an experienced Jedi, impressive young one," Abigor said
"I've had a lot of training," Shinji replied
Shinji clashed with an underhand strike, while Abigor countered with a downward block, Shinji then force-pushed him to get some distance, thus catching Abigor by surprise as Shinji pressed his advantage. But Abigor was a lot more skilled, using a speed that either rivaled or surpassed his sensei's. Abigor moved like the wind like he was like The Flash. Shinji had a hard time keeping up, as he suddenly found himself on the defense.
WHOOSH! CLASH WHOOSH CLASH! WHOOSH
"Think Shinji think, I need to anticipate, his moves."
"Laserbeak hurry and take to the air!"
"Epk Epk." the droid responded taking to the air
Abigor went for a front stab causing Shinji to block downward then hit a surprise leg sweep bringing down Abigor.
"Ugh." he grunted " Is this the way your master trains you? Not very Jedi-like,"
"I'm no Jedi,"
"You're no sith either, interesting, still I will deliver you and Obelisks to my master."
Shinji lunged at him again, his style more aggressive than before, meanwhile Serleena was matching Asajj blow for blow with her sabers.
"Mm, I can feel your apprentice's anger and his aggression from here. He has gone through much pain throughout his life. I will be sure to take it all away once you're-"
Serleena's words were cut short when the ground started to quake suddenly
RUMBLE RUMBLE RUMBLE RUMBLE RUMBLE RUMBLE RUMBLE RUMBLE
"What?!"
Then from underground, droids started to emerge, but these weren't the Old republic battle droids that Shinji and Asajj fought. These were crude copies of the much larger droid in the hangar. They surrounded the battling quartet, who ceased their fighting momentarily.
"Uh Sensei, I think we're in trouble," Shinji said worriedly raising his blade
"I know, I feel as though I'm back in the clone wars," Asajj replied as she backed with her apprentice "Only with no retreat options this time."
While both Sith acolytes stood at the ready, to fight this newest threat and continue on their mission. Meanwhile from a distance, a figure watched with keen interest at the scene below.
End chapter
End notes: Okay I admit I was working on this chapter during Christmas 2022, hence the Die Hard scene and I know Bruce Willis said Die Hard wasn't a Christmas movie, Asajj gets a crash course in pop culture, and trust me, she learned something other than a catchy oneliner. And the teleporter scene was inspired by Star Trek and Stargate. And Shinji got a new lightsaber, I know it's sudden but I wasn't feeling the Kylo Ren lightsaber anymore, but he held on to the Kyber crystal, which will serve a purpose soon. And of course, Asajj and Shinji held hands but briefly, I have some ideas on how far should it go before they reach the endgame, which is gonna be dozy but I want to hear from all of you first your thoughts. Also care to guess, what that robot in the hanger was? Next chapter Shinji and Asajj work with the Sith Acolytes briefly, and Ravage makes a major move. As always Read and review and stay prime
