"How's Karen?"

That was the first thing Adrian said when Mitch and Leland got back to the Groom's Room.

"She's going to be fine," Leland said, sighing in relief, "She just had some pain from the surgery from last year. I was really worried but Mitch said that it wasn't a big deal."

Adrian smiled at Mitch.

"Thank you for taking care of our friend," he said.

"You're absolutely welcome," Mitch replied, "No thanks is necessary."

By 12:45 Karen was awake. She was ready for cocktail hour. She and Jennifer met with Leland, Jared, Max and 2-year-old Caroline who was asleep in her stroller. Trudy brought Hope who was wide awake.

"You look like you're feeling better," Leland said, kissing her.

"I am," Karen said.

She chose not to get an alcoholic beverage, getting only milk. Leland also followed her lead and had a root beer instead.

Hope saw some Fried Mac 'n' Cheese Lollipops.

"You want one baby?" Trudy asked.

"Yes peas," Hope said.

Trudy smiled and gave Hope a Fried Mac 'n' Cheese Lollipop.

"Tank you," Hope said.

She ate it and enjoyed it.

"Oh meatballs," Karen said, helping herself to a few. Leland smiled to see her appetite was back. Caroline woke up when she smelled the Grilled Cheese.

"I want. I want. I want," she said.

"Honey what do we say when we want something," Karen asked gently.

"Please," Caroline said.

Karen nodded, smiled and took a grilled cheese for Caroline.

"Thank you," Caroline said.

"Good girl," Leland told her.

"Mommy– pretzels peas," Hope said.

"Okay honey," Trudy replied.

She got her some pretzel bites.

Marsha took a mini pizza. Dwight took one too.

"Those are good," Marsha commented.

Dwight nodded. They were good. Everything was good. The music started playing. The first song was Lucky.

Lucky I'm in love with my best friend

Dwight looked his wife in the eyes. He'd always loved her but this song was so right. She was his best friend.

Lucky to have been where I have been.

"I disagree with that part," Dwight said.

Where they had been was losing Trudy and spending ten years grieving at the loss of their daughter and their other best friend besides each other.

Marsha nodded.

"But right now we're at Trudy and Adrian's wedding. Last year was the absolutely best day ever."

Lucky to be coming home again.

Trudy smiled at her parents. She had tears of joy in her eyes. True, it was a year ago she 'came home' but it seemed like forever.

I'm lucky I'm in love in every way.

The next song that played was Love. It was a favorite of Karen and Leland's.

Love is all that I can give to you.

Love is more than just a game for two

Two in love can make it

Take my heart and please don't break it

Love was made for you and me.

The next song made Adrian and Trudy want to dance. It was "all of me".

My head's under water

But I'm breathing fine

You're crazy and I'm out of my mind

Cause all of me

Loves all of you

Loves your curves and all your edges

All your perfect imperfections

Give your all to me

I'll give my all to you

You're my end and my beginning

Even when I lose, I'm winning

Cause I give you all of me

And you give me all of you, oh-oh

"I love that song," Trudy said.

"So do I," Adrian remarked.

"You know," Trudy commented, "Even when I was a loser-"

"You were never a loser," Adrian told her gently, "You were always a winner."

Trudy thought back. Then she nodded.

Soon enough the cocktail hour was over and it was time for Trudy and Adrian to take their vows.

"Flowers," Hope said, "Pretty. I wanna hold the flowers?"

Adrian handed Hope a bouquet of flowers. He kissed Trudy. Then he took Hope and walked down the aisle. Dwight and Marsha down the aisle both kissing her. The bridal chorus played. Adrian felt a thrill run down his spine as he saw Trudy in her bridal gown looking like a queen.

"Mommy pwetty," Hope said in awe.

"Yes," Adrian agreed, "Mommy is very pretty."

Trudy got to the aisle and took Hope from Adrian's arms.

Mitch's younger daughter, Taylor walked down the aisle next with the flowers. Hope saw she was throwing them and started to throw some flowers herself. Everyone laughed.

The singer sang over the rainbow. Max walked down the aisle next. The singer sang what a wonderful world.

When the groomsmen walked down the aisle the singer sang celebration. Dr. Kroger smiled at Adrian and Trudy. The other singer sang for the bridesmaids. She sang I Love You Just the Way You Are.

Finally, it was time for Julie and Jennifer to walk down the aisle. The song that was decided on was From Now On. Jared followed last as a Jr. Groomsman. Leland smiled proudly at his nine-year-old son. Jared's favorite song from Les Misérables began to play. Once everyone was settled Pastor Gray stood up to speak. He smiled at the crowd.

"Weddings are always special occasions," Pastor Gray began, "But today is more than a special occasion. For 10 years the groom lived in mourning thinking that the bride was dead. A year ago he learned the truth. As you can imagine it was a joyful occasion.

"Today we are gathered here to join Adrian, Trudy and Hope Monk in becoming a family. Friendship is the most important part of love. Adrian and Trudy have a true and honest friendship. They are always there for one another.

"But we are not only joining them in reuniting a family. Dwight, Marsha and the rest of their family has also been reunited with the one they so dearly loved. Ambrose has been reunited with his friend… and has gotten out of his house even insofar as to be the best man."

Everyone cheered.

"Trudy and Adrian have written their own vows and they are now going to recite it for each other."
