Author's note: Back from hiatus! And given that I just finished my other fic this project is my official priority now. (On top of being a flag project with most popularity.)
So here, enjoy the resumed story!
Narrator pow:
"Any ideas where are the remaining clones?" Soldier asked, looking around the carnaged forest full of wrecked Republican vehicles and corpses of clone troopers in their holed armors that barely maintained their colours given the damage and smoke from explosions.
"There is around one thousand clone troopers maximum remaining on this planet." One of B1 battle drpids reported to him, handing the binoculars to another one. "Everyone else is dead or capturer."
"And what about their general?" Soldier asked, uncertain.
"Not fou- Wait!" Droid abruptly stopped, holding his finger on in-head communicator. "Mhm, mhm... General Undulli's corpse was found down the steep hill with extensive body damage and blood stains on the cliff. She died from fall damage."
"That solves it." Soldier smiled. "We're good to go then, thanks for cooperation."
"Roger, roger." Droid nodded, turning around and walking back to his unit while Soldier casually rocket jumpet on top of passing-by HMP droid gunship with B2 transport. "Take me to my fleet please!"
"By your command." Gunship responded in it's metalic tone, flying away towards the fleet's landing zone.
"Alright ya' wankers, where do we push next?" Sniper asked with an upbeat tone, as more and more of his teammates gathered together in the command room.
"Given the reports from Trench and Grievous, our decision to combine the two was an astounding success." Engineer responded first, showing the the holomap of the galaxy with a solid spike alongside Perlemian trade route deep into Republic's controlled territory.
"Aye. So much in fact that they managed to knock back the blockade of Castell and stopped only at Brentaal IV because of how dense the defences on Anaxes are." Demoman added, keeping his alcohole levels within functioning ammounts.
"Right, it's typical stalemate." Scout shaked his head, somewhat disappointed.
"I mean, we are mainly dedicated to land fighting with our own transport, not to space battles." Spy pointed out, rather annoyed as he walked in with Aayla. "Don't worry, she's with us."
"More and more Jedi are seeing the corruption, I see." Eeth sighed happly, while Barriss leaned forward to not have Scout blocking her vision.
"That is good." Heavy nodded, also joining the group via the opposite entreance. "But how do we go forward?"
"Well, take a look at this." Sniper smiled, moving the map a little bit down to focus on two minor systems below the Anaxes and Brentaal. "We can pass throu space above Skako thanks to Techno Union's allegieance with us. Then, we make a jump onto the Ixtlar system and rushed alongside the Corellian Run to Coruscant, taking them by suprise."
"Fantastic idea." Spy nodded. "But you know we will have to leave a lot of forces behind us to guard the Ixtlar and provide eventual support for Skako in case Republic decided it breaks their neutrality?"
"I know, but we are currently pressuring Republic on all fronts thanks to our numerical and individual advantages." Sniper smiled, throwing a beer to Engineer over the heads of everyone. "When we show up in their heart, they will call all available units to defend in panic, giving us the opportunity to strike everywhere at once, including the Anaxes whose defences will be greatly weakened."
"Sounds... Promising." Eeth commented as their ships began to enter hyperspace travel one after another. "But how about you, Pyro?"
"Mhh hmmmph haamm ahmmmmhhh." Masked maniac began his explaination in muffling as their ship also went into the hyperspace. "Hmppll hymma hymmma, amm hmmmph!"
"Take Trench and Grievous with us too?!" Medic asked him in suprise. "No wonder you are insane!"
"Dude." Scout interrupted him rudely. "We are ALL insane in here... That is, our original nine."
"Fair, but that's why I like it!" Medic laughed maniacally, making Heavy flinch. "Imagine if our combined three fleets just came into their system and reigned new order on their terrified, outmatched souls!"
"Medic, stop that monologue Medic." Heavy sighed, becoming more irritated than scared. "You're losing your mind Medic."
"I am the one who heals!" Medic laughed with devious pride, making other mercenaries slowly stand up from their chairs and back away from him.
"Fine, you can lead the attack yourself." Soldier commented, suprisingly unwilling to go with this plan. "But we won't be there to help you."
"Oh-ho-hooo! It's on!" Medic agreed, turning around and spinning his syringe gun in hand. "I'll show zhem all the might of my scientific medicine!"
"Is it a right idea?" Barriss asked Scout, whispering to him on the side.
"Not really." Scout responded, unsure about the events in front of him. "But if I heard correctly, we'll be given a lot of reinforcements before then next attack so we might actually use him as a recon by fire."
"In the worst case we can always just follow him and save his ass." Soldier added, bumping Scout on the shoulder. "But to be serious, he won't need it at all."
"How so sure?" Barriss asked him. "This is dangerous."
"Of course it is!" Demoman laughed on the side, pointing his Eyelander towards her. "But Medic is the danger. And the Coruscant... Well, it's in the danger now."
Author pow:
I know, this chapter is very short. But the next ones will be better.
