Alright, hey guys, Phoenix here. So, it's been a while since I last updated… any of my works, actually. It's not because I plan to go on an indefinite hiatus or anything, there are a lot of factors that have stopped me. I have a job, I have my own personal projects I'm working on, and some of my stories I'm planning on discontinuing or rewriting.
I'm sorry for not updating in a while, I've just been incredibly busy with my life outside of writing. I thank you all for your patience and for putting up with my crap. Now, for fans of Pokémon Journeys Through Hoenn and Beyond, I have a special preview for a future chapter that I'm planning out. It's not for the next chapter, but the next chapter is being worked on currently. So, in the meantime, I hope you enjoy this special preview.
After winning his first battle in the Pokémon World Championships, Ash is already preparing for his next battle.
Standing in Birch Gardens, Ash looked towards his scarf-clad Scorbunny and his shiny Dragonite with a smile.
"Alright, you two, are you ready for some training?," Ash asked his two newest Pokémon.
"Bunny!," Scorbunny jumped up and cheered, raising one of his paws up.
Dragonite looked rather confused, but hummed happily in response.
"Great! Let's start off by having you two battle each other," Ash instructed.
Scorbunny looked excited by the premise of battling a strong Pokémon like Dragonite, while Dragonite continued to look confused.
Ash backed a few steps away from the pair and looked at them expectedly.
"Ready, guys?," Ash questioned.
Scorbunny stood in front of Dragonite with a determined look on his face, ready to battle his teammate at any time. Dragonite still looked baffled, but smiled and nodded her head regardless.
"Alright, Scorbunny, start this off by using Blaze Kick!," Ash ordered. "Dragonite, counter with Dragon Claw!"
Without a second thought, Scorbunny immediately engulfed his feet with fire before dashing towards Dragonite.
Looking rather surprised by Scorbunny's actions, Dragonite stood in place for a few seconds before raising both of her claws up.
Quickly closing the gap between them, Scorbunny readied himself to deliver a flame powered kick towards his Dragon type ally. Right before the attack could connect, Dragonite reached out toward the Rabbit Pokémon and hugged him very hard.
"Scor!," Scorbunny rasped as he tried and failed to escape from Dragonite's arms.
Dragonite began to gently swing Scorbunny around as she continued to lovingly hug him.
"Uh, Dragonite, that's not exactly what I had in mind," Ash commented as sweat rolled down the side of his head in displeasure.
And that about does it for the preview; I'll be deleting this once the second chapter comes out. I decided that I would make Ash's Dragonite shiny in order to differentiate it from the two other Dragonites that appear in the Masters Tournament. Chapter Two is still in the works, but I can't say when it'll be released. Sorry again for taking so long and thank you for your patience. I really appreciate all the support you've shown me. I hope you enjoyed, and until next time, later!
