"We're back on the air with a big battle ahead! Both teams are tied at one win a piece! So we're off to our third and final match of the day!" Hanami excitedly announced the beginning of the final match. "Representing the Kiyama dynasty, the battle-hardened leader! The amazing, the ever flashy, RANTARO KIYAMA!" Hanami announced Rantaro's presence. The crowd went wild for him. Up in the executives suite, Valt smiled brightly.
"Go hard, Honcho! Give it your all out there!" Valt happily cheered on his friend.
"Representing the Beigoma Academy Beyclub, the eccentric and ego-driven captain! The crimson flash, TYLER INOUYE!" Hanami announced Tyler's presence, and the crowd roared for him too.
"Go get 'em Tyler!" Xarvin shouted.
"We're all rooting for you!" Nora added. Deep in the back of the stands, Brandon stood with his arms folded, scowling.
"Don't you dare disappoint me, Tyler…" Brandon sharply warned. Tyler and Rantaro smirked at each other, ready to begin the battle.
"So you're the new captain! Looks like Valt's old club is in good hands." Rantaro complimented his opponent. Tyler folded his arms, showing his usual confident smirk.
"Oh, of course it is! With me at the helm, we're not losing to anyone!" Tyler pointed straight at Rantaro, smiling as if he had already won.
"Ooooh, I like your confidence! You remind me a bit of myself, even." Rantaro spoke with confidence of his own. "So let's see what ya got! Prepare for battle with Typhoon Rangaruk!" Rantaro proudly showed off his own Ragnaruk, which was orange like Ranzo's with clear wings like Ranjiro's. Tyler smiled at the bey.
"Hey, looks pretty good! Here's my partner! The incredible Crimson Talthea!" Tyler showed off his bey, which gave off a pretty red shine.
"Hey, that's pretty cool! Let's see if it can beat Rangaruk!" Rantaro boldly challenged Tyler as the referee walked up to the stadium.
"First battle!" The referee called out. Tyler and Rantaro attached their beys to their launchers. "Ready, set!" The ref raised his hand.
"Three!" Tyler squatted down with his right leg behind him and his right arm extended outwards. Rantaro pulled out his fan and held it to his left side.
"Two!" Tyler moved his right hand to the string handle on his launcher. Rantaro held his launcher above the stadium.
"One!" Tyler turned his upper body slightly to his right as he held his launcher at a tilted angle. Rantaro squatted down slightly for a lower launch point.
"LET IT RIP!" Tyler and Rantaro pulled as hard as they could on their launchers. Ragnaruk went straight for the middle, which is exactly where Talthea was heading.
"Oh yeah! There's our shot! Show 'em your Crimson Rush!" Tyler called out to his bey. Talthea rushed the center, using the rubber ring of the Flash driver so deliver a high speed barrage on the center-dwelling Ragnaruk.
"Tyler and Talthea open up with a bang! Talthea pins Ragnaruk to the center, where it cannot escape the ruthless barrage!" Hanami announced as he watched the barrage continue. Talthea was landing strike after strike until Ragnaruk wiggled free from the barrage. Ragnaruk still had a decent amount of spin left as it moved around the middle of the stadium.
"Not bad, Tyler. But can you hit us like this?" Rantaro inquired with a confident tone in his voice. Tyler smirked, proud of his bey.
"Oh yeah, we can! Watch this!" Tyler spread out his arms as Talthea changed its trajectory to spiral out from the center, where it smacked into Ragnaruk with the tips of its wide blades.
"Look at Talthea go! It keeps finding ways to smack Ragnaruk around the stadium! Can Rantaro and Ragnaruk escape this time?" Hanami asked. Rantaro smirked to himself.
"Maybe I will, maybe I won't." Rantaro spoke in a singsong voice as Ragnaruk moved around the inner ring, trying to conserve stamina. Tyler wasn't having it. His cherry red resonance emerged around him.
"Oh no, this battle's over! FINISH IT, TALTHEA!" Tyler called out as he thrusted his right arm forwards. Talthea's red resonance emerged, revealing the red dragon with a set of black armor and black horns, along with a pair of bright blue eyes. The dragon roared as Talthea glowed red and charged straight at Ragnaruk, smacking into it with the tips of its blades, which flung Ragnaruk from the stadium.
"Crimson Talthea wins round 1 with a Ring Out finish! The score is 0-1!" The referee pointed his right hand towards Tyler.
"Constant pressure from Tyler and Talthea won them the battle! Talthea's relentless barrage proved too much for Ragnaruk to handle!" Hanami recapped the match. Tyler picked up his bey and proudly smiled to himself.
"That's how we roll! The power Talthea and I share is unlike anything else!" Tyler proclaimed as he held Talthea high, allowing it give off its red shine. High up in the executives suite, Valt and Bell took notice.
"Huh. His bond has grown stronger since I battled him." Bell pointed out. Valt nodded.
"Yep. The bond Tyler and Talthea share is starting to come into view. I can't wait to see it bloom into something special." Valt added to Bell's claim.
"He isn't even that bad! I like the way he battles!" Aiga spoke confidently with a proud smile on his face. Back down at the stadium, Rantaro smirked as he shrugged his shoulders.
"I kinda like what I'm seeing. You seem like the real deal!" Rantaro complimented his opponent. "Guess that means I gotta go a little harder!" Rantaro then held his fan off to the side.
"Second battle!" The referee called out. Tyler and Rantaro attached their beys to their launchers. "Ready, set!" The referee raised his hand.
"Three!" Tyler squatted down with his right leg behind him and his right arm extended outwards. Rantaro pulled out his fan and held it to his left side.
"Two!" Tyler moved his right hand to the string handle on his launcher. Rantaro held his launcher above the stadium at a tilted angle.
"One!" Tyler turned his upper body slightly to his right as he held his launcher at a tilted angle. Rantaro squatted down slightly for a lower launch point.
"LET IT RIP!" Tyler and Rantaro pulled as hard as they could on their launchers. Talthea rushed the center in its usual flower pattern, but Ragnaruk was moving around the middle of the stadium slope, carefully evading Talthea's attacks.
"Oh my! Rantaro adjusted his launch precisely to avoid Talthea's Crimson Rush! What a quick thinker he is!" Hanami complimented Rantaro as Tyler grimaced.
"Should have expected something like that…" Tyler sighed as Talthea kept on whiffing. Rantaro smiled with a lollipop in his mouth.
"What's wrong, Tyler? Can't hit me?" Rantaro taunted his opponent.
"He's right… I can't do a thing like this… alright, change of plans!" Tyler thought to himself before looking at Talthea.
"Change course, partner! Let's get 'em!" Tyler called out to his bey. Talthea ran itself into a wall to right its balance. Talthea began moving towards the center, but it had a bit less spin to work with.
"Talthea ran into a wall of its own volition! It lost a good deal of spin, but it's now balanced enough to move normally!" Hanami announced. Rantaro shrugged his shoulders, not entirely worried.
"I'll give ya credit for bravery, but that's not gonna help much!" Rantaro stated as Ragnaruk kept moving around the middle of the slope.
"Are you sure about that? Let's see how you handle our Crimson Flash!" Tyler snapped his fingers and smirked as Talthea raced outwards, smacking Ragnaruk before claiming the outer ring. Ragnaruk was knocked towards the center.
"Talthea delivers a crisp counterattack, dealing a big hit towards Ragnaruk, but wait! Rantaro is still smiling!" Hanami started off calm, but he became very surprised when he saw Rantaro smiling as if nothing had happened. Tyler was caught by surprise too.
"Hang on… what's going on?!" Tyler asked. Rantaro laughed to himself as his pure orange resonance emerged around him.
"Thanks for putting me in the perfect position for victory!" Rantaro bit down on his lollipop as he thrusted his right hand forwards. Ragnaruk's orange resonance shot upwards, revealing a brown goat demon with black horns, a set of orange armor, and an orange chest plate with two cyan eyes and a mouth. The goat demon roared as the tip of its horns caught fire. Ragnaruk's wings glowed a beautiful orange as a fiery tornado surrounded the bey like a wall of wind.
"WHAT THE-?!" Tyler stood there with wide eyes as his jaw dropped.
"Heh. Now's our chance, buddy! Time for Ultra Ragnaruk Zone!" Rantaro thrusted both of his hands forwards as his jacket flowed behind him like a cape. Ragnaruk stayed spinning in the center as Talthea went in for strike after strike, but each attack did very little damage, for Ragnaruk's wall of fiery wind insulated it from nearly every attack. Soon, Talthea toppled over and stopped spinning, with all of its stamina exhausted.
"Typhoon Ragnaruk wins with a survivor finish! The score is 1-1!" The referee pointed his arm towards Rantaro.
"A masterful performance by Rantaro Kiyama and Typhoon Ragnaruk! They predicted Talthea's patterns and once they did that, they had full control of the battle! Now the score is tied, so this third match is pivotal!" Hanami recapped the match. In the stands, Xarvin put his head on his hands as Nora typed away on her tablet.
"How do you even break through a defense like that…?" Xarvin muttered.
"So… let's see here… Typhoon Ragnaruk Blaze Flugel-2. A stamina type. The two wings on the disk, along with the upwards facing blades on the driver, allow Ragnaruk to generate winds that protect it from attacks. Breaking through the winds requires an attack that is either precise or powerful." Nora read out her findings. The purple haired boy in the stands gave off a wide, toothy grin.
"Oh dear… is Tyler doomed? Or does he have a miracle?" The mysterious blader spoke in a hoarse, raspy voice. Meanwhile, Tyler dejectedly picked up his bey.
"What happened…? I thought I had it in the bag…" Tyler wondered aloud. Then, Talthea glowed a beautiful bright red as it took Tyler to the world of pure red.
"Tyler… you aren't content with merely battling Rantaro, right?" Talthea spoke in his usual booming voice as he looked down at his blader.
"What?! Of course not! I wanna beat him! I… just don't know how I failed…" Tyler snapped back before realizing he didn't have much ground to stand on. Talthea however, was a forgiving bey.
"I am more than happy to help you, Tyler. We're going to win this battle as a team." Talthea spoke with pride and confidence as it reached out towards Tyler. "Shall we?" Talthea asked. Tyler looked his partner in the eye and nodded.
"Oh yeah! Let's go to the next level together!" Tyler reached out and touched Talthea's hand, which produced red bolts of lightning that coursed into Tyler's body. Tyler closed his eyes as the process continued, before the lightning faded and his eyes glowed a pretty red. Tyler returned to the real world with newfound confidence.
"You look pretty proud of yourself! I like it!" Rantaro proudly stated as he pulled out his fan and held it flat above the stadium.
"Oh, of course I am! Because I'm gonna win this battle right here and now!" Tyler proudly proclaimed as his cherry red resonance emerged around him.
"Really, now. In that case, I'll say the same thing!"Rantaro shouted as his orange resonance surrounded him.
"Third Battle!" The referee called out.
"One!" Tyler turned his upper body slightly to his right as he held his launcher at a flat angle. Rantaro squatted down slightly for a lower launch point.
"LET IT RIP!" Tyler and Rantaro pulled as hard as they could on their launchers. A jolt of crimson lightning coursed through Tyler's left arm as he launched, with bolts of red lightning shooting out from his launcher. On the team patio, Klarissa and Sakura's eyes widened. Deep in the stands, Brandon stood there, surprised.
"He actually did it…" Brandon spoke quietly. High up in the executives suite, Valt jumped for joy.
"That's a Thunder Launch!" Valt shouted with glee.
"No doubt about it! He's a special talent!" Aiga added. Even Bell looked impressed as Ragnaruk and Talthea landed. Ragnaruk moved around the inner ring of the stadium as Talthea raced along with it.
"Look at that! Two nearly identical trajectories from Talthea and Ragnaruk! This could be interesting!" Hanami announced.
"Don't let 'em catch you, Ragnaruk! Keep running!" Rantaro called out as Ragnaruk ascended up the slope while moving in a circular pattern.
"Oh, no you don't! Nobody beats Talthea in a race!" Tyler proudly stated as Talthea leaned onto the rubber ring of the Flash driver to quickly catch up to Ragnaruk and smash it closer to a wall, before coming back around and smacking Ragnaruk towards the center where Talthea chased it down.
"No matter what Ragnaruk does, Talthea has an answer for it! Can Ragnaruk find a way to escape or fight back?" Hanami asked.
"Oh, I'm done running! Come at me!" Rantaro challenged Tyler to meet him head on as Ragnaruk stopped near the center. Rantaro immediately regretted this decision as Talthea slammed into it at high speed, dealing a major blow with one of its blades.
"Sure! I'll come at ya! And we'll keep going at you again and again and again!" Tyler spoke with extreme confidence as Talthea crashed into Ragnaruk over and over again at blistering speed. Rantaro realized it was no or never to stave off the assault.
"Okay, Ragnaruk! Let's stop that bey!" Rantaro shouted as his orange resonance emerged around him.
"It's time for Ultra Ragnaruk Zone!" Rantaro called out as Talthea struck the wall of wind over and over. This time, Tyler smirked proudly.
"Ragnaruk puts up a brilliant defense that finally shook off Talthea! Does Tyler have a plan to beat the wall of wind or is his battle over?" Hanami announced with a great deal of intensity. Tyler made a peace sign as his cherry red resonance emerged around him.
"Oh yeah! We're ready to rock, partner! LET'S SHOW 'EM OUR TRUE POWER!" Tyler shouted as he flexed his muscles. Talthea's red resonance flared up as the bey's avatar emerged. The avatar depicted a red dragon with a set of black armor and black horns, along with a pair of bright blue eyes. The dragon roared loudly as Talthea's three blades crackled with crimson lightning. Talthea raced towards Ragnaruk at almost blinding speed.
"Let's finish it, partner! CRIMSON SLASH!" Tyler's right arm glowed a bright red as he made a slashing motion to indicate his new strongest attack. Talthea pierced through the wall and slammed into Ragnaruk at full force, using the lightning powered blades to slash at Ragnaruk to deal big damage. Ragnaruk was surrounded with the red lightning as it flew into the sky, bursting in mid air. Rantaro could only stand there in utter disbelief as Ragnaruk's pieces clinked against the ground.
"Crimson Talthea wins with a burst finish! With a score of 1-3, Tyler Inouye is the winner!" The referee pointed his hand at Tyler as the crowd erupted into uproarious applause.
"HE DID IT!" Xarvin and Nora shouted together as they hugged each other.
"Wow… so that's what he's been trying to achieve… it's incredible!" Sakura stood there in awe. Even Brandon smiled ever so slightly. The mysterious purple haired blader left the stands, proud of himself.
"An unbelievable finish! Tyler and Talthea ascend to the next level to give their team the win! The Beigoma Academy Beyclub is alive and well indeed!" Hanami recapped the final battle, utterly elated. Rantaro took a deep breath as he picked up Ragnaruk's pieces and re-assembled the bey. He walked towards Tyler and rached out to shake his hand.
"Hey… you battled really well. I honestly didn't expect you to achieve Bond Lightning, but you surprised me. I'm proud of you." Rantaro expressed his happiness. Even though he lost, he was proud to have faced off with an opponent like Tyler. Tyler smiled and shook Rantaro's hand.
"Oh, I knew I could win. I was worried for a moment, but I pulled it off just like I planned!" Tyler took the opportunity to brag a little bit. Rantaro laughed, and then so did Tyler. The boys laughed together for almost a minute before returning to their senses.
"Ah, I had a lot of fun battling you! I hope we battle again sometime! And next time, I'll win!" Rantaro waved goodbye to his new friend.
"Oh I'd love to battle again! And next time, I'll win again!" Tyler waved goodbye as he left the stadium with the beyclub. Tyler was walking along the path to the bus stop before he was intercepted by the mysterious blader from the stands.
"Oh! U-Ummm, hi there!" Tyler was quite surprised by the sudden appearance of the blader. The purple haired blader bowed to greet Tyler respectfully. His purple jacket exposed a black undershirt that matched a pair of black tights.
"I saw your match against Rantaro earlier. It was quite a brilliant display of raw power!" The mysterious blader spoke in his raspy voice as he stared into Tyler's eyes with his own violet eyes, one of which was covered by an eye patch.
"Ummm… may we ask who you are?" Sakura asked. The mysterious blader smiled, showing off a set of sharp teeth.
"My name is Hendricks Lee." Hendricks began. "I'm a blader, just like all of you. Tomorrow, I'd like to battle Tyler Inouye!" Hendricks issued a challenge before pulling his bey out of his pocket. "Your opponent is my prized bey, Grief Hagenti!" Hendricks spoke with an intimidating sharpness to his voice. Hendricks's bey gave off a nasty purple glare before he put it back in his pocket. "Meet me at the covered stadium tomorrow." Hendricks turned and left with a haunting message. Tyler stood there, dumbfounded as his friends guided him over to the bus. Tomorrow would be a very big day, that was for certain.
