Chapter 11

After everyone's classes were over, Miho met up with Saori and Yukari in the hallway in preparation to head over the practice. "Give me a minute real quick," Miho requested turning into the direction of a nearby bathroom, "I need to change into my uniform before we arrive at practice."

"Oh right," Yukari said a bit caught off guard. "I guess I need to change too, good thing I always keep it in my backpack," she added.

"Ok, I don't mind waiting here for you guys," Saori responded, "besides," she added, "I can't wait to see you guy's uniforms in person to see just how amazing it could make me look when I get one too," she said gleaming. After a minute or two, both of them came back out in their uniforms. "Wow, you both look amazing," Saori praised.

As they exited to the building, Miho and Yukari put their caps on. Looking around they find Hana heading towards them but it seems as if she was having a hard time finding them.

"Hana, over here." Miho called out and waved hoping that could help Hana find them. Upon looking in the direction of Miho's voice, Hana is able to quickly find them.

"I almost didn't recognize you guys in those uniforms and Saori was behind you both from my perspective." Hana tried to explain.

"It's okay," Miho tried to reassure Hana. "Now let's head out to practice," she suggested motioning in the direction of the armored corps classroom.

"Ah, Commander Mcniel and Platoon Commander Akiyama, congratulations on your promotion, by the way." They heard someone say, they turned in the direction of the voice and saw Annelien heading over towards them.

"Oh, thank you vice-commander," Yukari thanks Annelien before quickly saluting her.

"There's no need for you to salute me now," Annelien said before facing Miho and saluting her.

"Oh, sorry," Yukari apologies before dropping her salute just as Miho returned Annelien's and then dropping it, prompting Annelien to do the same.

Looking over at Saori and Hana, "So I take it you must be the Commander's new friends?" Annelien asked. "I'm Annelien, but everyone pretty much calls me Bab."

"I'm Hana Isuzu," Hana introduced herself, "it's a pleasure to meet you Annelien."

"And I'm Saori Takebe," Saori introduced herself soon after Hana. "By the way, why does everyone call you Bab?"

Chuckling to herself, "It's actually an acronym," Annelien explained. "It's short for boss ass bitch."

"Why do you have a name like that? I don't think it suits you," Hana asked curiously.

"Well let's just say that I tend to be very tough and stern," Annelien explained. "Just try and give your best, that's all I or anyone else could ever ask for, okay."

As the group of five made their way over to the grounds, they ran into someone who seemed to be stumbling in the same direction they were heading.

"Uhh," Miho uttered, not sure how to react to what she was seeing. "Are you ok over there?"

"So tired," the girl groaned. "Just want to go home and sleep." Straightening her stature as best she could, "but I must go, I will keep going." She says, taking another step forward.

"Wait a second," Saroi reacts. "I know that voice." The other four girls turn to look at Saori as both they and the girl in front of them stop walking. "Mako, is that you?" Saori asks.

The girl Saori just called "Mako" turns around and looks at Saori, "oh, it's you Saroi."

"Just where are you trying to go to exactly?" Saroi proceeded to ask Mako.

"I'm trying to head to the armored corps class." Mako answered.

"Oh we're heading there right now also," Miho responded. "But are you sure you're ok?"

"Mako suffers from hypotension," Saori explained.

"You mean low blood pressure?" Annelien asked, hoping for clarification, to which Saori nodded. "I think I may have some ideas that could be helpful for her," she later suggested.

Miho and Saori quickly got on both sides of Mako and wrapped each of her arms around themselves to support her.

As they continue on and arrive, they see a massive crowd of people, both new and recognizable. Miho and Annelien peeled off, "we have to look over a couple of things before officially starting practice." Miho explained, "don't worry thou, it should only take around 15-20 minutes, so maybe just take that time to get to know some of the other students," Miho suggested.

As she and Annelien arrived in the commander's office, they quickly got to work. Miho mainly concerned herself with planning the activities for both today as well as next week's practices as well as organizing a schedule to get all the newbies measured for their official corps uniforms. Annelien meanwhile focused on tallying up the ranks and organizing them into "training team exchanges" where a veteran team swaps one or two of their team members with one of the rookie teams in order to help with training and team bonding, which usually lasts for three to four weeks.

"Wow, can you believe this?" Annelien said out loud in surprise.

"What?" Miho asked, slightly concerned.

"I just finished the tally of everyone, and apparently we have around 210 members," she said excitedly. "Usually we have around 150 to 170 a year," she explained. "I guess a lot of this could be because of the new Oorarai students, but still this is just amazing."

After finishing, they quickly headed back outside, and both stood at the center of the building.

Upon seeing both Miho and Annelien, all the veteran students immediately began to form their class teams and form into columns six teams across. The new students at first seemed unsure of what was about to happen, however Yukari explained to Saori and Hana about what was going on and they promptly spread the word around, as the rest of the students began to follow suit. When everyone appeared to get into formation Miho turned to Annelien, both of them with confident smiles and nodded to each other. The two of them then straightened their pose to attention, and Miho called out, "CORPS, ATTEN-HUT."
