Chapter 30
To Play with a Cat
"Zetaaaa….Zeta…" Eta calls as she gently pokes the cat beast-kin with her pencil while lying on her belly on the couch in the common room.
"What is it, Eta?" Zeta asks. "I'm trying to relax here."
"I…want to pet you…" Eta says.
"Is that all?" Zeta turns around to face the mad scientist and kneels down to her level.
"I want…to touch you…feel you…pet you…and tell you how much…I love you…" Eta says with a small smile.
Zeta chuckles nervously. "W-well, if that's the case, then here." She slightly lowers her head to let the mad scientist do as she pleases.
The purplenette reaches her free hand and pets Zeta on the head. The cat beast-kin starts to purr softly, feeling the need of more head pats. Her cat ears droop down to encourage Eta to pet her more. The mad scientist starts to sit up and urge Eta to come rest on her lap. Zeta does so and Eta starts to cuddle her this time. She playfully scratches the cat's ears and then scratches under her chin. Zeta feels good from the little scratches and makes a cat paw out of instinct.
"Nya~!" Zeta squeaks, making Eta go, "Awwwww….~"
The violet haired elf keeps on petting the cat beast-kin until she pulls away, leaving Zeta wanting more. Instead, she reaches over and grabs a small ball of yarn. Zeta's eyes sparkle and does both cat paws. She swipes at the yarn as if to reach for it while Eta playfully teases her. She then throws the yarn toward the large carpet and Zeta jumps to catch it.
"Nya!" Zeta squeaks again and rolls on her back to bounce the yarn up and down.
Eta giggles and grabs a notebook to jot some things down. "And so…it's been proven…"
Zeta stops playing with the yarn and turns her head as the little fluffy ball of string bounces away. "I'm sorry, what did you say?"
"Beast-kins…behave just like regular animals…after all…." Eta says as she closes her notebook.
Zeta sweat drops. "That's a stupid way to do research…"
"Well…you and Delta…look like humans…" Eta lies on her belly and yawns, resting her chin on her forearms. "But…with animal ears and a tail. Most people would think you are…cosplayers. But in reality…you are just beast-kins…with animal instincts…"
Zeta sits up and shakes her head in dismay. "Did you do all this just to tease and use me for research purposes?"
"No…" Eta answers with another yawn. "I also wanted…to bond with you. You never…talk much to anyone…do you…?"
"Uhhhh…I guess that's true," Zeta admits, her cat ears drooping down in embarrassment. "I normally do missions and then laze around all day. That's how most cats are. I'm not like Doggy, you know."
"You should…open up more…" Eta says. "Even though I don't talk much to…anybody myself…I work hard to open up…as well…"
"Eta…" Zeta slowly gets to her feet and walks over toward the sleepy mad scientist. She kneels down by her side.
"Zetaaaa…" Eta gives a soft smile and spreads out her arms. "Once…again…please…?"
"What is it that you want me to do?" Zeta smiles in return with a slight blush.
"I want to…pet you…hold you…feel you…and tell you…how much I love you…" Eta says.
Zeta gives a soft sigh, but still smiles. "Now I'm feeling like I'm the housepet here."
She leans over and lets Eta hug her tightly. The cat beast-kin goes on top of the small mad scientist to cuddle with her properly. It is then that Eta pulls her close to kiss her on the lips. Zeta's eyes widen for just a few seconds before closing them, returning the kiss. Their breasts squish together and rub each other's slime bodysuits against one another as they continue smooching. This feeling. This blissful feeling. It's happening again. Eta can feel it. And it feels so good. The violet haired elf wraps her arms around Zeta's neck, feeling the small low pony-tail behind her and plays with it a little bit. Zeta purrs as she rubs herself against the small mad scientist. Eta lets out a soft moan from the kiss until Zeta pulls away and sits on the couch. She then picks up Eta like a little baby and has the mad scientist sit on the cat beast-kin's lap. Eta is surprised by this, but she just smiles. Zeta returns the smile and nods before the two lean in to kiss again. Tongues coil around each other with soft moans being heard. Eta wraps her legs around Zeta's waist to pull herself closer and have her breasts press against Zeta's half-exposed ones. They smooch like there's no tomorrow. Eta wants to keep feeling this bliss and wants it to last forever. However, both of them pull away to catch their breath and gaze into each other's eyes.
"Wow, Eta," Zeta says with a chuckle. "I never knew you could be very assertive. This is the first time I've seen this."
"I want…to be more…active sometimes…" Eta says. "I want to…show my love for Shadow Garden more…"
"And you're showing it," Zeta nods. "No wonder you're head over heels with Alpha-sama and Gamma."
"Stop it…" Eta blushes and looks away.
Zeta chuckles again and pets the little mad scientist. "Now who's the housepet now? I'm cuddling you this time, Eta~"
"I…" Eta bites her lip as she cannot think of an excuse.
"I can be the one to hold you, touch you, and tell you how much I love you~" Zeta gives Eta's words back to her, making the violet haired elf feel very embarrassed, something that she rarely feels.
"Your teasing…is making me nervous…" Eta says.
"Now how does that feel, hm~?" Zeta winks at her.
"This feels…a little wrong…" Eta admits.
"What~? An animal cuddling a human? That's new~" Zeta says.
"Sh-shut it…I'm an elf…"
"Ehehehe~!"
A/N: The new official Eta x Zeta picture inspired me. That is a neat pair, so I thought I would write about these two.
Another story arc will come up soon. It will be Alpha's arc. Not telling you the details yet.
