Chapter 32

I've Been Watching You

Nu stands before Gamma, the one she swore to protect as her personal bodyguard. They have invested a new product on bathing suits for the summer. And Gamma has tasked Nu to let the employees know about this amazing product so they can get right to selling. Nu voices her acknowledgment and turns to leave. But she stops and turns her head to look at the BEAUTIFUL elven maiden one last time. She has admired the dark blue dress-clad woman for as long as she can remember. She has always been by Gamma's side, aside from Alpha. Serving her, protecting her, and overall, enjoying being by her side. She realized she fell in love with Gamma a while after Alpha and the others declared their love for their beloved leader. She wonders if her love for Gamma will still be relevant after all of this. It would be possible, right?

The problem is, Gamma is simping a little too much for her beloved leader, not realizing she is neglecting her bodyguard unless there were emergencies. How can the highly intelligent elf of Shadow Garden not know this little thing? This frustrates Nu. It's been a few weeks since the Seven Shades have been together like lovers. Nu wants to be included, too.

That night, discussion would have to wait. There are bandits running loose and Gamma is tasked to take on this mission. Nu is allowed to tag along if she wants and quite frankly, she does. They zip through the city rooftops like ninjas until they find the terrible bandits wearing gray coats, baggy pants and bird shaped masks covering their faces with hats on top of their heads. Gamma is the first to step in.

"You are to surrender yourselves!" Gamma shouts.

"Like we'd do that to a couple of chicks!" One bandit says.

"Then we will have to do this the hard way!" Gamma summons her giant sword while Nu draws her own regular sized sword. "Nu, let's go!"

"Understood!" Nu nods and the two separate to take down the bandits.

Left and right go Gamma and Nu like ninjas, making the bandits look around in a panic. One of them gets tackled hard and stabbed in the chest against the wall by Nu. Gamma jams her sword on the ground and summons all of her strength to pick up a large rock from it and crush two bandits with it. Gamma wipes the sweat from her forehead with her forearm, unaware that a bigger, muscular bandit with two mace and chains attached to his wrists is approaching behind her.

"Gamma-sama, look out!" Nu calls out.

Gamma hears and swiftly turns around to see the bigger bandit raise both arms, ready to pummel her with the large spiked balls. However, Nu delivers a devastating side kick to the head, catching him off balance and Nu lands on her feet. She then zips forward, sword pointed forward to stab him on the chest and then spin around to dodge the swinging of his arms. She jumps up and lands on his back. She jams the blade on the side of his neck, blood spilling from it. She yanks the bloody blade out and then stabs his head with great force. The brute falls flat on his face, never to move again. Nu huffs and hops off the big guy after de-summoning her sword. Gamma does the same and runs toward her bodyguard.

"Nu! Are you alright!?" Gamma asks.

Nu nods. "I'm alright, Gamma-sama. What about you?"

"I'm fine, thanks," Gamma says. "Come. Let's clean up this mess."

"Sure." Nu has once again protected Gamma and then…Gamma has shown worry for her. She hasn't done that in a while. Maybe the dark bluenette does pay attention to her at certain times.

Later*

After the mission, Gamma is clad in her blue dress again, looking up at the night sky with the full moon showing. She smiles at the clear skies above her when she hears some footsteps coming toward her.

"Gamma-sama?" She hears Nu's voice from behind.

The dark bluebette turns around to see her bodyguard standing before her. She is looking as dignified as ever.

"There's no need to do anything else for me tonight," Gamma shakes her head with a smile. "You can go ahead and sleep."

"Sure," Nu nods as she fiddles with her fingers. "Um…but first, I need to discuss something with you."

"Sure, what is it?" Gamma asks as she puts her hand on the railing.

"What…do you think of me?" Nu asks with a blush.

"Huh?" Gamma tilts her head in confusion.

"I-I said…what do you think of me?" Nu repeats.

Gamma giggles elegantly. "I think of you as my wonderful bodyguard who is very loyal and does everything without fail~"

"I see," Nu says. "Not even…more than those things?"

"What do you mean?" Gamma asks.

Nu looks up and takes a step forward. "Y-you see, Gamma-sama, I have been watching you. Watching you and your fabulous figure. I have been watching you every time I have been by your side. But…you never once looked at me the same as you do with Alpha-sama or the others."

Gamma's expression softens. "Oh, Nu…"

Nu's hand clenches to a fist on her chest. "I wanted to tell you how I feel, but for the past few weeks, you have been looking at Alpha-sama way more, even during missions. I felt so…left out. Like there was no room for me to fill in." She takes a deep breath, trying hard not to cry in front of the rich elven woman. "But…I wanted to do this anyways. Gamma-sama…I love you. I wanted you to look at me more than your personal bodyguard. I wanted us to love each other like you do with the other Seven Shades. Please…would you understand my feelings and…love me?"

Gamma lets out a soft sigh and walks over toward Nu to hug her tenderly.

"So that's it," Gamma says softly. "I sincerely apologize for neglecting you. But yes, you can love me as much as you want. You have been very loyal to me since day one. You deserve much more than that~"

"G-Gamma-sama…" Nu gasps softly as the dark bluenette pulls away and smiles a beautiful smile.

Gamma caresses Nu's cheek, tucking away a strand of hair. "I love you, too, Nu. Let's make our love last as much as Alpha-sama's."

Nu's eyes brim with tears as she gives a weak nod. She then shuts her eyes tightly and buried her head on the dark bluenette's chest, crying. Gamma hugs her tenderly, swaying back and forth slowly, letting her beautiful bodyguard let out everything she held back. It lasts for about 5 minutes until it ceases, resulting in only sniffles.

Gamma pulls her away to wipe the last bit of tears with her thumb while caressing her cheek. Nu sniffles and then sees Gamma gives a nod, signaling her that they can kiss. Nu does so immediately, plunging herself against the bluenette, wrapping her arms around Gamma's neck in the process. The rich woman gently wraps her arms around the brunette, kissing her passionately. Nu has finally got the woman she wanted. And she's very happy. No words can explain this much bliss she is feeling right now.

They pull away and gaze into each other's eyes lovingly. They lean in to kiss again, but more briefly this time before pulling away again.

"I love you…Gamma-sama…!"

"I love you, too, my lovely bodyguard~"

A/N: A way to celebrate Gamma's release in the game. I have not given Nu enough attention in my series, so I decided to do that now.

Alpha's story arc will come soon. I wanted to space things out before going to story arcs, that's all. Hehe.
