My heartfelt gratitude for your support and encouragement. Your comments have been a source of inspiration and motivation for me. Thanks to everyone who commented, favored or followed the story. I'm sorry for the late update. Last week was a tough one for us as my family and I were struck down by illness, particularly my children who suffered from fever and a bad cough. Thankfully it's all over.
Anyway, I broke down the rest of the story (about 100K due to added emotions and dialogue expressions) to chapters and I could say it's gonna be round 27-28 chapters.
"I heard that you spoke with Hanabi," Hinata apologized to Taisuke. "I hope she hasn't caused any trouble. She can be quite energetic at times."
Taisuke blushed, a hint of embarrassment in his voice. "No, it's not like that. I was just curious about her and wanted to get to know her better. But please don't say anything to her yet. I just want to observe and understand what kind of person she is."
Hinata smiled, her heart overflowing with compassion for this kind-hearted man. "Oh, that's a relief. I won't say anything, don't worry. I encourage you to take your time and get to know each other. Marriage is not just about admiration, it's about friendship, understanding, and trust." Her voice took on a wistful but also sad tone as she spoke. "Excuse me, I need to check on Boruto."
She found Sasuke in the garden, as she had suspected. "Sasuke, are you alright? Are you upset about the clan moving to the Uchiha grounds?" Hinata asked, concern etched on her face.
Sasuke's eyes were dark with anger. "I thought your father was expanding the Hyuga compound, not selling the grounds to another clan without even mentioning it to me!"
Hinata nodded, understanding his frustration. "You have every right to be upset. This is the first time I've heard about it too. Tou-sama should have told you."
He stood in silence for a moment, his eyes fixed on the ground. "My apologies for my behaviour yesterday," he said, finally breaking the silence. "I was out of my mind after watching you in the river." He was pondering about it all night and most of the day. She scolded him and was upset with him when he just kissed her or kissed her neck. She will be furious with him for what he has done. He braced himself for her anger, feeling regretful and ashamed for having lost control.
But to his surprise, she spoke softly. "Sasuke... I… I wanted it too." She looked down, her cheeks turning a shade of pink. Sasuke is unaware of the changes in her relationship with Naruto.
Sasuke turned to her, a small smile playing on his lips. "Thank you for the coffee," he said gratefully."I haven't had any in the last few days."
She smiled back at him. Then looked him deep in the eyes. "Sasuke, please don't get upset and angry without telling me what's wrong," she implored, a hint of sadness in her voice. "It makes me feel helpless and left out."
"I'll do my best to be more considerate," he said, taking a step closer to her.
She tensed up, her eyes widening. "Sasuke, don't do anything," she whispered, glancing around nervously. "Someone might see us."
"How did you know I was going to do anything?" he teased, his smirk growing.
"I know you can't resist me," she said playfully.
"You know me too well," he smirked, clenching his fists before turning to leave.
After dinner, Hinata and Taisuke were summoned to attend a crucial meeting. The purpose of the gathering was to discuss a set of conditions that must be met in order for the clan to successfully settle into the hidden leaves village. The most pressing of these conditions was the search for the Byakugan Genjutsu Seal Scroll, believed to be buried and concealed within the Uchiha grounds. In addition, Hiashi also proposed imparting forbidden jutsus and diplomacy skills to the members of the Hyuga clan.
Hinata was taken aback by the demands made by her father, and she couldn't help but question his motives. What does he want with all this power? The clan tried as friendly and cunning as possible to refuse all those requests. Despite their reservations, her sister Hanabi was insistent that they comply with Hiashi's requests. The meeting was a source of great discomfort for Hinata, who was overwhelmed by the proceedings and relieved when it finally ended and she could retire for the night.
However, sleep eluded her as she couldn't shake off the thoughts of her father's requests, which seemed unreasonable and absurd, and the thought of the clan leader and his brother, who were skilled, poised and polite. The conditions were ridiculous, she felt herself getting furious, she needed to distract herself from overthinking this. Hinata took solace in a book and nestled away in a quiet corner of the room.
Sasuke, on the other hand, had retreated to his bedchamber after dinner for a nap, feeling bored and lonely. How could she be so close and yet so far away at the same time?
After the ending of the meeting and the return of Ko to the room. Sasuke couldn't resist the urge to see Hinata. Checking to confirm that Ko was deep asleep, he made his way to Hinata's window. The halls were filled with guards. But to his surprise, her futon was empty. Boruto and Hanabi were sound asleep. Where did she go? Is she in the bathroom? After searching her room and finding no sign of her, he finally spotted a small candle light in a corner of the room and there she was, cramped and immersed in her book. He couldn't help but smile at the sight of her, so focused and intent. That little bookworm!
As he drew closer, he noticed that she was so engrossed in her work that she failed to notice him standing right in front of her.
"Hinata." he whispered.
"Sasuke, you scared me!" Hinata jolted in surprise. Hanabi stirred in her futon. Sasuke blew out the candle, took Hinata's hand in his, and led her over to the window.
"Do you trust me?" he asked, his eyes searching hers.
She hesitated for a moment in confusion before nodding, her cheeks flushing red.
Sasuke wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her close to him, before leaping into the air. Hinata clung to him, her eyes tightly closed as she felt the wind rushing past her. As they landed on Sasuke's giant bird, Taka, Hinata let out a gasp and the bird flew high in the sky.
"Sasuke, look at the village. It is so beautiful from the sky!" she pointed at the waterfalls, the trees and the isles. Sasuke watched her, mesmerised by the sight of her excitement. He loved seeing her so lively, just as she was when she first saw his mansion inside for the first time. He lifted her chin, kissing her deeply like she wanted him to always kiss her. She clung to him, her knees becoming weak.
"Sasuke, can we land? I'm feeling dizzy," Hinata said, breaking away from their kiss.
They alighted on a mountain cliff and sat down, admiring the view of the village below. "This village is so beautiful. I love waterfalls," Hinata said, a smile on her face.
"Soda ne." Sasuke agreed.
"Maybe if you're lucky, I'll show you my waterfall dance," Hinata said, her eyes twinkling with amusement.
"Waterfall dance?" Sasuke repeated, confused.
"Actually it's an absolute technique that turned into some kind of dance." Hinata explained, giggling.
"And maybe if you're lucky, I'll show you my waterfall chidori," Sasuke countered, a hint of challenge in his voice.
"I would love to see that," Hinata said, her eyes shining with excitement.
Sasuke stretched out on the ground, and put his hand behind his head as he gazed into the sky.
"You know I've been reading about personality types and social hierarchies lately." he mused. "And according to my research, my personality type is a Sigma. While yours, without a doubt, is an Omega."
"What is… um.. Sakura-Chan?" or Naruto-Kun.
"Naruto and Sakura are Alpha personalities!"
Sasuke replied with a nod. "That places them above Beta, Delta, and Gamma personalities, which are further down the hierarchy."
"So, that means there's a difference between your personality and Naruto's," Hinata concluded.
"Exactly," Sasuke agreed. "Naruto is a quintessential Alpha, confident and extroverted, while I'm the opposite as a Sigma. Omegas, like you, possess unique traits, such as introspection and extreme intelligence." he explained with eyes closed.
"Do you think I'm extremely intelligent?"
"Of course you are naive, introverted and kind but you are very diverse and clever. I remember you finished all the questions in the chunin exam without help, I saw you pass it on to Naruto too." he looked the other way. Why is he bringing up that idiot?
"What about Sigmas? Where do they fit in the hierarchy?" She tried to light up the atmosphere. She doesn't want to think about Naruto now. It is too beautiful and she feels too elevated to let anything bring her down. She laid down on her side looking at him.
"Sigmas don't fit in the hierarchy," Sasuke explained. "They don't believe in that order. I don't subscribe to the idea that one personality type is superior to another. In my opinion, the pyramid of the hierarchy is nonsense. What I value is individual strengths and intelligence, regardless of personality type."
"Ano, if you don't believe in the hierarchy, why are you reading about it?" Hinata asked, curious.
Sasuke turned his head to look at her, his gaze piercing. "I don't believe in the notion of dominance, but I do believe in the significance of personality. Understanding personality types can help us better understand ourselves and those around us. Every person has unique traits and characteristics that define them. Understanding these traits and how they interact with others can help in understanding others better. That's why I find it interesting to study personality types." its a necessity for an observer.
Hinata nodded, taking in his words. She found it fascinating how Sasuke always had something to say, something to teach her. She looked out at the breathtaking view in front of them and wondered what other things she could learn from him. She felt grateful to be by his side, to experience these moments with him.
Sasuke meticulously articulated the definitions of sigma, alpha, omega, and the other personalities to Hinata. "So, essentially, a sigma is an introverted alpha. Both omega and sigma don't hold much regard for their placement in the social hierarchy," He concluded.
"That means we're both introverts!" Hinata breathed a sigh of relief.
"You're not with me!" Sasuke whispered.
"Neither are you! I never would have thought you'd be so… chatty," Hinata whispered back.
Sasuke gazed at Hinata for a prolonged moment, entranced by her beauty. The full moon cast a silver light upon her, illuminating her heart-shaped face and making her skin gleam like a siren's. Her hair flowed like a night-black strand, accentuating her features. Sasuke was momentarily captivated before collecting himself and clearing his throat.
"I'm glad you're taking an interest in literature," he said, closing his eyes and laying down once again.
"I like that novel. Where did you find it?"
"Actually that is the only one that I haven't read yet. I heard someone brought it from another dimension. I couldn't believe that. So I bought it out of curiosity!"
"It is… um… not as steamy as my novels… but amazingly written but I won't spoil it for you." She said blushing.
"Is tomorrow going to be filled with meetings like today?" Sasuke asked.
"I certainly hope not. I can't stand all these meetings. My father has some absurd demands for the clan to integrate into the village, and I don't understand his motivations." Hinata replied, shaking her head in frustration. "But the clan is really masters in politics and tactics. I want you to join us tomorrow, I'm sure you'll be amazed."
"It's Hyuga affairs, I won't interfere."
"I hate to leave you alone."
"I feel the same way, but I'm on a mission. I'm just glad I got to see you," he added.
Hinata snuggled closer to Sasuke and hugged his torso. "Thank you, Sasuke," she whispered.
"For what?" he asked, holding her tighter.
"I don't know. I've never felt so loved, so admired, so happy. You've changed my life," Hinata replied.
"I wonder who changed whose life," Sasuke said before bending down to kiss her plump lips.
After a while it was really late. "We should head back before someone realises we're gone," he said.
Sasuke summoned his bird and they returned the way they came, sneaking back into the village undetected.
The following morning, the clan leader, Takeru, along with his wife and brother, Taisuke, extended an invitation to the Konohans to join them on a picnic and a leisurely stroll through the village. As they wandered through the network of isles and platforms, they eventually arrived at a hilltop overlooking the village, a breathtaking vista dotted with waterfalls that Hinata had not fully appreciated in the darkness of the previous night.
"Hinata-Sama, you seem amazed by the village's beauty," observed Takeru with a smile.
"Yes, it's truly stunning," she replied, her gaze drifting over to Sasuke who was watching her closely.
"And you, Hanabi-Sama?" Taisuke asked, addressing Hinata's younger sister.
Hanabi, her cheeks tinged with embarrassment, simply nodded her agreement.
Hinata stifled a giggle. She never saw her sister so shy and timid. She probably likes this guy. "Why don't you two go for a walk by the waterfall banks?" she suggested, smiling at the shy couple.
After Hanabi and Taisuke had departed, Takeru turned to Hinata. "We have a marriage proposal for your sister, but we are unsure of what she or your father, Hiashi-Sama, might think of it. Of course, this has nothing to do with the agreements reached between our two clans regarding the settlement in Konoha. May I ask for your opinion on the matter?"
"It would be our honour to consider your proposal," Hinata replied thoughtfully. "My father has always hoped that Hanabi would marry into a noble family like yours. I cannot speak for him, but I will certainly discuss the matter with Hanabi and see how she feels. At the end of the day, it is up to them to decide what is best for their future. However, I suggest that they take their time and get to know each other better before making any final decisions. They are both still young, after all."
Takeru nodded in agreement and then turned his attention to Sasuke -who was admiring Hinata's thoughtful answer-. "Sasuke-San, how has life been in Konoha? I thought you were still travelling."
"No, I returned a few months ago," Sasuke replied. "I was travelling with my wife and baby, but it was not the best environment for a young child."
"I had no idea you were married and with a child, you are still too young. Who is the lucky girl?" Takeru's wife interjected, her tone betraying her disappointment after she was admiring Sasuke for a while.
"Sasuke is married to his former teammate, Sakura Haruno, and has a cute daughter," Hinata stated firmly. Sasuke smirked and looked down.
"Are you close friends?" she asked, arching a brow, looking from Sasuke to Hinata.
"We are," Hinata replied, growing increasingly irritated by the line of questioning. "We are also neighbours."
Hanabi and Taisuke returned from their stroll, still deep in conversation and giggling, and the group made their way back to the main residence.
Ko approached Hinata, his expression serious. "Hinata-sama, may I have a word with you?"
"Of course, Ko," Hinata replied, her tone guarded. They went to the tearoom and slid the door shut.
"Hinata-Sama what are you doing?" Ko asked.
"What do you mean?" Hinata frowned in confusion.
"Hinata-sama, I've been your caretaker since you were a child," Ko began, his eyes trained on her. "I know you better than anyone. Yet, I feel as if there's something you're hiding."
Hinata sighed, a hint of annoyance creeping into her voice. "Ko-san, I don't have to tell you everything about me."
"I understand that, Hinata-sama. But I only have your best interests at heart. What kind of relationship do you have with Sasuke-San?"
Hinata felt her cheeks flush, her embarrassment evident. "What makes you say that?" she asked, her voice tight. She knows he can't be spying on her with his Byakugan, that is forbidden.
"I know that Sasuke-san visited you for dinner in the compound. I know that your husband got a beast to 'protect' you. And I saw how you reacted when that woman spoke to Sasuke-san in a friendly manner. Are you jealous? Do you love him?" He attacked her with questions.
Hinata's eyes flashed with anger. "None of what you've said implies that there's anything between Sasuke and me. We simply enjoy each other's company and have interesting conversations. Don't make unfounded accusations again. I don't appreciate it." With that big lie, Hinata turned and strode from the tearoom.
"Hinata-Sama please keep your distance from him." Ko said before she got out of the room.
She knew that Ko meant well, but she could not allow him to dictate her actions or question her motives. She was determined to live her life on her own terms and make decisions that were in her best interest.
She remembered what Kurenai sensei told her.
It's not just a lust moment!... Then what is it?
She still doesn't have an answer to that question. She still doesn't know what is this between her and Sasuke! What is this relationship that makes her so attached to him? Most importantly what will happen next?
In the afternoon, the meetings resumed, and Hinata approached Hanabi with the permission for Sasuke to join the meeting.
Hanabi's eyebrows furrowed. "No, Sasuke-san cannot join our clan affairs meetings. Even the branch family is not allowed. Why do you want him to join us?"
"I want him to learn about the Tekatori clan's diplomacy, and I don't want him to be left alone," Hinata explained.
"I'm sure he'll be fine on his own. He can still engage in conversations with the clan and learn about their diplomacy outside of our meetings," Hanabi countered.
Hinata nodded, not pressing the matter any further, actually that was a stupid thing to ask but she simply can't part with him. The meeting proceeded as usual, with the clan agreeing to teach diplomacy and assist in the search for the Genjutsu Byakugan Seal Scroll, although there were no guarantees of success. Hanabi, well-trained by Hiashi, pressed for knowledge of some of the forbidden ninjutsu techniques.
The clan shared dinner together and retired early for the night.
Hinata went to bed early, her sleep having been disturbed in the past few nights. In the middle of the night, she woke up and found herself unable to return to sleep. She curled up in a corner with her literature book, determined to complete it. Maybe Sasuke will visit her again?
Sasuke crept into the room once again and found Hinata curled up in the same corner, silent tears streaming down her face. He was shocked and approached her quietly.
"Hime, are you okay?" he whispered.
Hinata sniffled and looked up at him through her tears. "Sasuke... (hic)," she replied, her voice breaking.
Without hesitation, Sasuke enveloped her in a comforting hug. "Hinata, why are you crying?" he asked, his voice gentle and concerned.
"Can we go somewhere else?" she whispered.
He took her hand and flew with her again.
Hinata clung to his torso, taking in the breathtaking view as they travelled. They eventually landed next to a waterfall, and Sasuke led Hinata to a cave underneath it.
Her eyes widened in amazement as she looked around the new surroundings. "Sasuke, how did you find this place?" she asked, turning to him in awe.
"While you were in the meeting, I was training and stumbled upon this cave," Sasuke explained with a small smile.
"Did you train on your Chidori?" Hinata asked.
"Among other things, yes," Sasuke replied with a nod.
"Show me!" Hinata said, her eyes shining with excitement.
"Later," Sasuke promised, leading her to a spot near a fire he had started. "But first, why were you crying?" he asked, locking eyes with her and looking for answers.
Hinata's expression fell as she remembered the heart-wrenching story she had been reading. "I don't want to end up like Anna Karenina," she whispered, referring to the protagonist of the book Sasuke had given her.
Sasuke looked confused. "Who is that?" he asked, his brow furrowed.
"The character I'm reading about," Hinata replied, surprised that Sasuke didn't know. "The book you gave me was named after her."
"Oh, right!" Sasuke exclaimed, the realisation dawned on him. "Why would you end up like her?"
"I don't want to spoil the book for you," Hinata whispered, looking down at her hands.
"You have to tell me now, don't you?" Sasuke whispered back, leaning in closer to her.
"She is a married woman and fell in love with another man and… and got pregnant… and… and… it's horrible." She dissolved into tears once again as she remembered what happened to the character.
He held her tighter, trying to offer some comfort. "It's just a fiction hime."
She sniffled, wiping away her tears. "Her husband, the judgmental eyes of society, her ailing health, the pregnancy, and even her lover – it's all just too much to bear. Life is so unfair."
"Life is really unfair." He agreed, kissing the top of her head. "We should have been together before you ever got married to Naruto. I don't understand why he chose to marry you, when he never even showed any interest in you before." She looked up at him, confused. "I mean, he was too dense to see how much you loved him."
"Maybe he never loved me," she whispered, the thought weighing heavily on her heart.
"You mean Sakura?"
"I didn't say that!" she flinched.
"I know he loves her. It's been like that forever. That made me not understand why he married you instead."
"Sakura-Chan was never interested in him!"
"She is only interested in my looks, my clan, my famous name that will make all the other girls envy her."
She remembered home and all its troubles, those last days had been like a dream. "Sasuke, what will we do once we return home? I can't bear the thought of being separated from you. One day without you is torture, and I don't think I could survive back in Konoha."
"I feel the same way," he whispered, hugging her even tighter. "I miss you even when we're together all day."
Hinata touched his cheek and pulled him closer for a kiss. Sasuke leaned in and gently kissed her, his lips warm and comforting. Hinata melted into the kiss, feeling a sense of peace and contentment she had never felt before. Then she straddled him. She felt the cave getting hot when he kissed her neck and hugged her bare waist under her yakuta.
"I.. love you Sasuke" she whispered with flushed cheeks.
"Hime, are you sure?" He looked her in the eyes.
"..." she nodded and bent and kissed his neck. He moaned and threw his head back. She licked his skin and kissed him more. He wondered how she knew his sensitive spot. He was shivering with pleasure. "Hinata! Slow down. I'm not sure I can control what could happen next." he said out of breath.
"I don't want you to control anything, I can feel how much you want me too." She could feel his hardness like steel twitching under her. Sasuke fell on his back and she went down to his broad muscular chest and teased his nipples sucking and kissing his pale skin.
He said out of breath "Of course I want you, I wanted you from the first time I saw you. But you were impossible. You are his wife." he frowned. He pushed her back gently, and set up his hands lingering on her hips.
"Hinata, what will we do next? I can't let you go back to Naruto. I can't stand the idea of him touching you."
"Don't worry, he is not interested in me anymore." And she tried to kiss his neck again.
But he stopped her. "Why? What happened?"
"I don't think he ever truly cared about me or my feelings. And now, I just can't stand being around him. He is not the same person I fell in love with. He is violent and controlling… bringing a monster to attack you. He is getting crazy and it is sickening me." she didn't want to tell him about the affair.
"Why is HE not interested in you? He said he loved you and will never lose you… to me"
"He said that? To you?" She was surprised.
"He meant it. He suspected me." he remembered the speech.
"He doesn't love me anymore, I guess!"
"That is a relief. But even so I don't want you to return to him."
"You're with me more than him." She looked mischievous to him.
"Do you want us to stay like that?" He looked at her confused.
"We have to get a divorce?" she asked him. Why doesn't he just say it?
"Yes, you have to be mine. I want you day and night with me."
"What will Naruto-Kun… and Sakura-Chan say about that?" The thought of this confrontation is sending chills to her spine.
"I know it's gonna be hard. But we have to do it! To be together. Don't you love me?"
"I do. I never felt like this even with Naruto-Kun!"
"I can't say I love you too!" she looked at him confused. He cupped her face and came closer. "Love isn't enough to describe how I feel for you, Hinata. I never fully comprehended the depth of love that people speak of. But from what I saw people do for love, I know what I feel for you is even greater than that. You are my breath, my eyes, and the most crucial aspect of my existence. Don't ever betray my trust, hime!" He looked intently at her which made her feel cold chills.
Hinata felt shivers run down her spine as she gazed into Sasuke's intense eyes. She wiped the joyful tears from her eyes and asked, "Sasuke, why are you saying this?"
"The thought of you betraying me would destroy me," he replied solemnly.
She hugged his head to her chest "Never, don't doubt me Sasuke, I will never betray you."
She knew how much he suffered in his young years and that trust wasn't an easy thing for him.
After a while, he asked. "Are you open to live in another village, other than Konoha?"
"I've never considered it. Why do you ask?" Hinata replied with a hint of confusion while sitting next to him.
"Because you liked this village so much."
"If you know what the Taketori clan is ready to offer to move to Konoha, you wouldn't say that!"
"It must be something very important to your father. This opportunity doesn't come often in life."
"SomethingS!" she whispered.
"Did the clan finally agree?"
"Tomorrow we'll hear their final decision. Maybe we'll return earlier."
"..." Sasuke just looked at the flickering fire.
"I don't wanna think of returning." she said and put her face in her hands.
Sasuke lightened the mood by teasing her, "But you still have to make Gyoza for me."
Hinata smiled and looked at Sasuke, "I'm looking forward to it."
After a while she asked "Sasuke,"
"hm"
"Why did you like me as a child?"
"I don't know if I liked you," Sasuke replied thoughtfully. "You were more of a fascination to me. You embodied qualities I lacked - kindness, warmth, love, and forgiveness. I never understood how you did it. Your endless capacity for love, and your ability to control your own power was something I couldn't comprehend. I found myself drawn to you, seeking to understand you. Until I notice your chase after that idiot. If I knew you would love me like this. That you would make me feel this way. I would have stayed, or maybe even taken you with me. I would have kidnapped you. "
"Sasuke! " she gasped.
He moved closer to her, his eyes dark and intense. "I want you all for myself, Hinata. As soon as we return."
She looked down, a blush spreading across her cheeks.
"Your naughty writers could never comprehend what an Uchiha is truly capable of," Sasuke said with a smirk. "I'll show you the depths of my lovemaking... but not now."
She was holding her knees. He thought she fainted. He shouldn't tease her like that. "Hinata, are you alright?" he asked, concern etched in his voice.
"Why not now?" she whispered with a red face.
Sasuke fell silent, before standing up and extending his hand. "ehm… do you want to see my waterfall chidori?" Hinata stood up and walked with him to the edge of the cave, where Sasuke unleashed the full power of his technique. He extended his hand and lightning started chirping and ran up and down the waterfall making the whole cave flicker with flashlights. She looked at the lightning run with the water. The cave was illuminated by a dazzling display of blue lightning, and Hinata watched in awe as the waterfall was transformed into a chirping cascade of power. She was astonished. Sasuke looked at her mesmerised face and a smirk appeared on his face.
"That's amazing, Sasuke," Hinata said, still in wonder. "I've never seen anything like it."
After the Chidori Waterfall subsided, Hinata began to undress, stripping down to her underwear. Sasuke watched in shock and embarrassment as she approached him.
"Hinata, what are you doing?" he asked, his voice trembling.
"You showed me your Chidori, so I'll show you my dance," she said with a mischievous smile, caressing his cheek. "Don't be shy, Sasuke. You've already seen me naked." she teased.
Hinata walked to the base of the waterfall and began to gather chakra. Water started to swirl and spin around her, following her every move. She was breathtaking, like a fairy come to life. Sasuke watched her in awe, unable to believe how beautiful she was. He stared at her with a jolt. He removed his clothes too and walked to her and hugged her frame.
"I've never told you how gorgeous you are," he whispered. "Hinata, your beauty is out of this world." He bent down to kiss her.
"Sasuke… " she whispered and she kissed him back, her arms wrapping around his neck. The water around them continued to spin and twirl, creating a mesmerizing display of water and light. They lost themselves in each other, their love and passion taking over. The waterfall became their witness, the cave their sanctuary, and their love their only truth. They didn't care about the world outside, they only cared about each other and the love they shared. They knew they had to return to reality eventually, but for now, they just wanted to enjoy this moment and each other.
He saw the lust in her eyes, the desire to have him between her thighs, but he wasn't ready to claim her. He was overtaken by a complex swirl of emotions. The old Sasuke wouldn't resist the intense physical attraction that is between them, the urge to feel her soft curves pressed against his own, he would devour every inch of her in a moment like this but as they spent more time together, something deeper began to grow within him. He was replaced by a man who had come to cherish and respect her as a friend, a confidant, and a partner. He was no longer content with just satisfying his carnal desires. He wanted to do right by her, to make her his in every sense of the word, but with the utmost care and adoration she deserved. He realised that he didn't just want her, he needed her and valued her for who she was, not just for her physical beauty. Sasuke's desire for Hinata transformed into an all-consuming, a deep and abiding affection that he was willing to fight for and defend. He was mindful of his past mistakes and was determined not to repeat them and cause her any guilt or discomfort, to make sure that she felt cherished, loved, and treated like the precious princess she truly was. But this moment, this place, he felt time was not ripe... yet.
Sasuke gazed at Hinata, lost in thought, as he struggled with his inner turmoil. Hinata looked back at him with a frown, sensing the change in his demeanour. Although she had grown used to his mood swings over time, he still managed to confuse her at times.
He finally tore his gaze away and walked over to his clothes. "Let's go back," he said softly, offering her his hand. His eyes were filled with tenderness, and a hint of sadness, as he hoped to ease the tension between them and lead her back to the comfort of the estate.
The next morning, after a quiet breakfast, they had their final meeting. Hinata was avoiding Sasuke's gaze, and he was avoiding hers as well. He couldn't help but feel a sense of unease, as if something was amiss between them. He felt he disappointed her and didn't know how to explain himself.
After the meeting, Sasuke was sitting in the garden lost in thought once again. That was when he spotted Hinata walking on the other side of the estate, Takeru followed her and stood talking to her. He watched them whisper to each other so intimately. What is all this whispering about? Sasuke couldn't control his curiosity and walked closer to the duo. But the whispering abruptly stopped as Takeru excused himself and left.
As she excused herself and started to walk away, Sasuke called out to her. "Hinata, why are you avoiding me?" Sasuke asked, struggling to keep his voice even.
"You're avoiding me too," she replied, looking down at her feet. "I didn't want to push you yesterday. I'm ashamed of my behaviour. I'm sorry Sasuke"
"Don't say that. There is nothing to be ashamed of."
"..."
"What does Takeru want?" he asked, clenching his fists. He didn't want to appear nosy or interfering, but his curiosity, and perhaps even a hint of jealousy, was getting the better of him.
"Nothing, it's clan affairs," Hinata replied.
"Why didn't he negotiate it with you during the meeting?"
"He didn't want to discuss it in front of Hanabi. Sasuke, are... are you jealous?"
Sasuke felt his cheeks redden, was that so obvious? He tried to cover his face with his bang. "No, why would I?" he muttered, before turning and walking away.
She smiled at the mighty Uchiha's childish behaviour.
Collecting their belongings, they set out for the return journey to Konoha after lunch. The clan escorted them with guards until the borders.
Sasuke was far ahead, securing the road. Night fell, and with it, Sasuke returned to the camp. The urge to see her was becoming almost unbearable.
As he approached her tent, he heard her talking to Hanabi. It was late, he thought they were asleep.
He turned to walk away when he heard her voice.
"Hanabi," Hinata said, "you know they have no idea about the whereabouts of the Byakugan Genjutsu Seal Scroll."
"It's possible that their grandfather knew where it could be," Hanabi replied, "and that they know too."
"But Masanobu Taketori died many years ago," Hinata said, "and no one really knows anything about him. He travelled a lot, and even his place of death is still a mystery."
"If it's not in the Uchiha grounds," Hanabi said, "it must be in this village. If they really want to move to Konoha, they'll find it."
"You sound just like Tou-sama," Hinata said with a frown. "But what about that forbidden ninjutsu? Was it really necessary? I think we have enough power with our Byakugan, wealth, and connections."
"Father insisted on it," Hanabi replied, "so I had no choice. I don't think you can ever have enough power. Our clan is constantly attacked because of our powerful eyes. You and I were kidnapped more than once, and we lost our uncle to protect ourselves. With more power, we can better protect our clan."
Frustrated, Hinata got up and walked away. She needs fresh air, she is too frustrated to sleep now. Besides the thought of Sasuke and also her return to Naruto, is troubling her mind.
Watching her go, Sasuke remained hidden on a tree branch, his thoughts whirling with what he had just overheard.
The next chapters are hard for me to share with you. I count on your support and sharing your opinion. I want to only deliver the best and your reviews motivate me.
Byakugan Genjutsu Seal Scroll is from my fabrication, I will clear what it does later.
