Chapter 52: Amity isn't Buying it

Amity saw Luz go off with the group. She hoped Luz would be ok but at the same time knew something was fishy. "Luz can't be alright," exclaimed Gus. "We all know she's human. So why is she being tricked so easily?"

"I don't know," answered Amity. "Let's check the library to see if something is there that help us." Everyone agreed and followed Amity to the library. What was weird though is Amity wasn't on the work schedule. "Ok, she said again but quietly. "Let's get looking." They went through aisle after aisle in hopes they find something but no luck was taking them in the right direction.

Meanwhile, Luz was still with the Thought Burners as she was convinced she was one of them. "So what are we doing now," she questioned.

"Now we wait for more people to come by," answered the leader. Luz agreed and continued with the activities honoring her.

Amity was about ready to give up when a book appeared out of nowhere. "What the," questioned Amity. "Where did this come from?" There was a note by the book in which she read, "This book might have the answers you seek from a mysterious witch." Amity quickly looked around to see if anyone was there but was more focused on saving Luz.

"Hey kid," questioned Eda. "Where did this book come from?"

"I don't know," answered Amity. "But it had a note saying it might be the one we were looking for."

"Well open it," exclaimed Eda.

"Yeah," replied King. "Now we might be able to help Luz. So Amity opened the book and started reading.

"This is it," exclaimed Amity. However she said it so loud that the whole library told her to quiet down. "Sorry," she said.

"Tell us how we can help," said Eda.

"Hold up, wait a minute," replied Amity. "Let's come up with a plan first."

"Did you just do one of those human things," questioned Eda. "What Luz called them memes."

"Yeah," Amity chuckled. "It's nice to know about what she likes cause if we go back to the human realm, I can understand it."

"Now back to the plan thing," said Eda. "Shouldn't we know what we are up against before plotting a plan?"

"Yeah," Willow agreed.

"That's actually a fair point," answered Amity. "Alright I'll tell you. They are not what they say they are. They are tricking Luz as we already guessed. Though I don't know how they didn't affect us. That group are no Thought Burners, they are Hypodemons."
