Adrien excited his trailer, a perk of being the main star was that he had an on site RV all to himself. He did not have to share and it was quite handy for back to back filming.
Alan hand notified him to get on set quickly so they could finish before sun down. "Yah, yah." He said as he casually walked into the building. The crew ran around resetting the scene.
He saw a woman holding a script that looked oddly familiar. Her lips pursued as she rocked back and forth on her heels. 'Marinette?' He thought his mind was hallucinating. 'Did I finally break?'
As he knew it was bound to happen. His mentally stability was strong as an eggshell. It was bound to break with the amount of cracks it had both on the surface and under. Perhaps, she was to be his own personal ghost? To haunt him until he admitted to at least himself that he was wrong. That he was feral beast that needed to be put down before everything he touched toppled down. Making casulties, making injuries, making beautiful things ugly.
He recalled how smug he was when he; when ChatNoir maxed out the volume on his phone so both parties could hear the other. For Vesperia's toy to hear the pleas of his toy. To hear a supposed hero begging for the damsels release. To hear the damsel beg for her Hero's safety before begging for her own safety. Selfish, degraded, and unsavable. Words that he wanted his victims to be. Words that he used to describe himself.
He walked over to the woman. To either prove she was a figment of his imagination or prove she was just some woman that resembled Marinette. Either way he knew his brain was lying to him. He took the script from her clammy hands. She looked up at him with eyes that he could never forget. Eyes full of blue animosity.
"HEY!" She made an effort to try to take back the script. She had memorized a ridiculous amount of lines in a short amount of time. "I need that!"
He grinned deviously as he held the papers perfectly out of her reach. She was on her tip-toes and still wasn't tall enough. She hovered over his chest, only an inch away from contact. If he took a deep enough breath perhaps they would touch.
She grabbed his arm and pressed her thumb into one of his wounds causing his arm to jolt down. She flaunted the papers in her hand as she came out victorious. He rubbed his arm and bit his tongue as he wanted to return the favor. To punish her for her blatant disrespect. He reached to grab her arm but she turned.
"I think the fuck, not." She added that she had no time for Adrien Agreste's stupid games. She had agreed to this and she was not going to allow herself to be manhandled. Not again.
"You're fiery." He winced while holding his arm. 'Perhaps if I play it up, she'll be sympathetic.'
"And you have a bad reputation." She said, looking at the script. Reading and conversation holding was a talent she picked up working at La Coccinella. Customer's would tell her, their order then proceeded to ask questions as she hit the different buttons on the register. A juggling act that paled in comparison to the circus version.
"Are you going to tell me your name…. Princess?"
She frowned at his nickname. A nickname that was surrounded by happy memories of her father. As "My little princess" was a title of endearment, love. To a time where she believed nothing could ever go wrong as she had her daddy to protect her from all the monsters. A nickname that she did not want ruined by passing through Paris's playboy's lips. "Marinette."
He took her hand in his. Gently kissing the back of it. Taking the opportunity to place his other hand on her hips as he bridged the gap between them. "I think we will work well together, Marinette."
She pushed him back as quickly as she could. She was not impressed with his tactics nor wanted his advances. She alright dealt with one lunatic who was not a fan of the word NO, she was not going to have another one. "NO. We're not doing this whole flirty bastard shtick. It's just not going to happen. I am not interested in a relationship."
"Who said I wanted to date you? It's quite obvious I don't have time for something so trivial." He grinned. He walked past her and she thought that was the end of him until the filming started. A hope built on lies as she felt someone's hands move her hair out from her jacket and to the side.
Adrien saw the souvenir of their earlier rendezvous. A souvenir that the makeup artist failed to cover with concealer. He gently kissed the purple finger marks left on the back of her neck before whispering an invitation. An invitation he doubted she would accept. "But if you're interested my trailer will be unlocked."
She tried to swat him away like the annoying fly he was. "Perverted ass."
She said now knowing that her original instincts were correct. 'Kagami deserves so much better! I can't believe she even agreed to date that bastard.'
Adrien laughed as he went to his personal makeup artist to reapply the fake dirt and scuffs. He knew he was going to enjoy toying with Marinette as she felt two different emotions for each side of him. Fear for ChatNoir and loathing for Adrien.
'All she has to do is say yes to one of the sides.' He thought as he flipped a coin back and forth with one hand as he sat in the makeup chair. 'ChatNoir or Adrien? Who will devour her next?'
