(A/N: If you've read Chapter 1 of The News Never Sleeps, it mentioned Nelson having his bike confiscated. Here's how it happened)

Three months had passed since the Yether Age clan was dissolved and all members sent to Kryptarium Prison. With nothing to do, the Ninja has started to become lazy. The city had been really quieter than before, apart from occasional muggers, small time robbers and fights on the streets. Hayden had now been a cop for four months, and some believe he is a great cop, though some preferred if he was a Ninja, given his height and physical body. He mainly spent his days patrolling the park, catching an occasional mugger or vandal, or giving directions to some people. However, he did catch some kids riding bikes without helmets and would often let them off with a warning, if they wear a helmet the next time he saw them, or they would have their bicycles confiscated and would only give them back if they pay the fine for lack of a bike helmet.

One day, Hayden was doing his usual round at the park and was giving a person some directions before she walked away and someone passed by on a bicycle behind him. He turned to see the male rider was not wearing a helmet and turned to him. "Hey, you!" He called out. The rider stopped his bicycle as Hayden came over to him. It was Nelson, who was wearing a purple jacket, white t-shirt, blue jeans and purple Ninja Runners. "You again, Nelson?"

"But, officer, I need to-" He was soon cut off when Hayden raised a finger to silence him before he puts his hands on his hips in a disappointing matter.

"You know what I said the last time I caught you without a helmet, kid?"

Nelson sighed. "That you would take my bike away?"

"I'm afraid so." Hayden gets out a booklet to write on a ticket.

"But, officer, can't you let me off with a warning like last time?"

"I only allow it once, kid." He tears the ticket off. "Step off the bike, please." Nelson gets off his bicycle and takes the ticket before walking away, frowning, as Hayden got out his radio. "This is Unit 38, reporting another bicycle offence. Confiscated the bike and gave the kid a ticket. Need a unit to pick up the bike."

"Roger, Unit 38." A dispatcher on the other end of the radio replied as Hayden watched Nelson walking away. "Unit 26 is en route."

Nelson walked all the way back to his house where a middle aged woman was watering some plants before she noticed him. "Nelson, honey, where's your bike?" She asked, turning to him.

"It got confiscated." He replied.

"That police officer again?" He nods. "I did tell you to wear your helmet." She sighs as she puts the watering can down and heads for the door. "Come on, let's go get your bike back."

"Okay, mom." Nelson moves to head inside as well.

They made their way to the NCPD headquarters, where Hayden was writing some reports, having finished patrol a few minutes ago before Jimmy comes up to him. "Uh, Hayden." He said.

"What is it, Jimmy?" Hayden asked, turning away from his reports.

"That kid whose bike you confiscated is here with his mother."

Hayden puts the pen down and stands up. "Hope he learnt his lesson." He heads for the door.

At the entrance, Nelson and his mother were patiently waiting, having paid Nelson's fine of 10 Ninjagins before Hayden emerges with his bike. "Oh, thank you, Officer Salvos." Nelson's mother said as they stand up and head toward him.

"I hope your son understands that this will happen again if I catch him without a helmet. If not, it will be a lecture on safety."

"Yes, officer." Nelson said, taking the bike.

"Have a nice day." Hayden soon walked away as Nelson and his mother leave the building.
