Leilani had barely been able to steal the phone from Colonnello's hand and was trying to run away when he snatched her up again "No, Skull. Just no, kora."

"But-"

"For the last time" he managed to wrestle his phone out of her grip "I'm not gonna change your name to Trash panda in my contacts."

She pouted and wiggled with her legs that were still hovering in the air before looking up at him, a nearly hopeful look in her eyes "Dumpster bandit?"

"No."

She pouted but didn't complain when Nello carried her over to the couch, gently throwing her on it before sitting down himself.

Fon who had been discussing some of the information that Verde had presented them this morning had looked up as soon as the spectacle happened, an almost soft smile on his lips "Any reason why you're trying that Skull?"

Skull shrugged, grabbing one of the cookies from the table, contemplating the size "It's better than Houdini."

In the end she just shoved it in completely, clearly struggling to chew it though as her cheeks were completely stuffed.

Colonnello snickered at the sight "I differ from that statement. Houdini is perfectly fitting for you."

She just pouted but the moment she tried to swallow her cookie she started coughing up.

Colonnello, completely used to those antics just started patting her back.

Reborn pulled one of the water bottles out of the fridge, throwing it in Colonnellos waiting hand.

The rain nodded thankfully at him before going back to his former task of trying to help his sky to not suffocate.

Fon looked at it in amusement "You always had a unique naming sense Skull but I have to agree with Colonnello, Houdini seems way more fitting."

Vipers head was resting on their hands "Mou, Skull? How did you even come up with Skull de Mort?"

Skull had finally gotten her breathing back under control, chugging down some of the water before turning towards Viper "Well…. panic."

"Panic?"

"Yeah, I hadn't thought that far when I went to the circus so I was kinda… well… a bit panicked about picking a name and… to be honest my name choice is kinda funny in a way."

"Pray tell."

"Well.. you know there was the man that killed my parents, right?"

"Yes?"

Fon sent a glance at Reborn who had settled down next to them, both quite bewildered at where Skull was going with this.

"So… he had this symbol. A skull with a snake through it and well… his name was Lord Voldemort."

Honestly Fon could only blink at that. Even Colonnello was frozen on his spot.

Verde, who had come up from his laboratory for a small break, looked at her more than just bewildered. "And how is that funny?"

Skull tilted her head "Well… at first it was legit just the first thing my head scrambled too as …well… he was kinda always on my mind you know.. then I realised that it would be good because if anyone recognized the name they would find me and get me back home.. which was pointless but in the end?

Isn't it just unbelievably petty? I mean… My first role at the circus was a clown. There was legit a clown running around with his name and that behaviour. He would have despised nothing more than anyone making fun of him in that way.

Seriously, back home no one even said his name. He was more than just feared and I took his name and completely pulled it through the dirt. I think that's funny. I can't do much against him here but his name? Fairgame."

The next morning only Colonnello stepped inside the kitchen, greeting the group as always but sitting down and not addressing the obvious elephant in the room.

Their gazes flickered towards the door frame but still no redhead in sight.

A few minutes passed where Colonnello was just calmly eating his breakfast.

Fon cleared his throat "Colonnello? Is Skull sleeping in?"

"No, kora."

"Is she sick?"

"Nope."

"Then… where is she?"

"Oh she needed to let some energy out. You should hear her soon."

"Hear?"

He hummed as an answer just munching on his bread.

The rest of the group looked at each other in slight confusion but Colonnello hadn't lied as shortly after the singing voice of the sky was hearable, clearly from the outside and only so loud as the window was open.

Reborn blinked "She… She's singing? Outside?"

Colonnello nodded "Yeah she does that sometimes. Got used to it. Something about music being magic."

"Alright… but why outside?"

"She loves high spots, kora."

"High spots? Is she in a tree?"

"No" the rain shoke his head "The roof."

Lal let her knife fall "The roof?"

"Yeah."

Immediately the group was up and ran straight outside.

Colonnello had to stifle his laughter as he slowly followed, his mug still in his hand.

The group stared almost flabbergasted up. The tiny sky balancing on the small line where the roof connected, twirling around in the oversized t-shirt she had never given back to Colonnello. She was loudly singing from her heart, dancing and her eyes were closed and her flames swirling around her.

Reborn was already searching for a ladder but Colonnello stopped him straight away "Don't worry. She has never once fallen. She did some aerial work in the circus, tightrope and all and believe me when I tell you she never believed in safety nets."

"Aren't you worried?"

"I was for the first few times. She often did it when she had nightmares and believe me it's a different kind of fear when she climbs on top of her airship while flying."

"You didn't stop her?"

"I have Falco, not that he was ever needed. Just let her be, she gets pent up when she stays in one spot for too long."

Reborns eyes were glued to the sky, ready to jump forward if she even seemed to slip off.

Fon wasn't better "Did she have a nightmare?"

Colonnello nodded slightly "Yeah, was pretty bad. She needed a break. Just her high up and forgetting everything."

"Were you able to calm her down?"

"Yeh, kora but… she was restless. She actually climbed out of the window as soon as the sun broke out."

The hitman pulled his Fedora up a bit, to get a better sight of her "Do we need to act differently today then?"

"No, should be fine. Just be normal but I do plan to have a gaming marathon later. There isn't much we can do to be honest besides distracting her. It's not an issue we can fix. Just accept."

They watched in silence until she finished, all of them ready to catch her if she would fall but not once did she step off or seemed to slip, even with her eyes closed shut.

She stayed standing for a while after she finished her song, not moving, not opening her eyes, almost as if she was listening to something none of them could hear. Several minutes passed actually before she opened her eyes, looking slightly confused at the group on the ground before a grin stretched across her lips.

"Nello?"

"Yeah, kora?"

Her grin widened a bit more "Catch me." and with that she started to run, jumping without any hesitance as Nello let his mug drop only to scramble forwards and barely managed to catch her.

Leilan laughed, already lifting her face up to place a kiss on his cheek before throwing her arms around him and burying herself in his neck.
