Chapter 1: A Whole New World

Here's the new chapter of Draconic Restart.

Pyrrha Nikos the current champion of Mistral, and a proud student of Sanctus Academy was currently training in the forest honing her skills so that one day she will become a huntress and to save the lives of the people.

But why was she training in the woods? Why is she not training in one of the training grounds in Argus or in Sanctus Academy.

Well she wanted to train alone.

Being popular in his home in Argus has some benefits but sometimes she just wants to train in a place where she just wants to be herself.

She continued to train and train until it was already time to go home. She had already packed up her equipment and was walking out of the forest but a strong gust of wind struck her in her back.

As she looked back she saw a boy of her age with brown hair, with a bloodied tattered red T-shirt, brown cargo shorts, and blue and white sneakers.

Pyrrha quickly went over to the boy and checked on him, but when she arrived near the boy she was shocked to see that he had a giant wound in his stomach, he was bruised all over his body almost as if he was in a fight.

But the most noticeable thing she saw was that both of his ears had a pointed tip similar to those elves she saw in fairy tales books or shows which were covered in red scales.

She immediately thought that the boy in front of her was a faunus.

She immediately called paramedics and approached the boy who was lying down on the ground.

"Hey are you okay!?" She immediately kneeled down and tried to ask the boy but he didn't respond. Pyrrha, thinking that he was dead, started to apply first aid to the boy.

As she was doing her first aid she had already noticed that this boy does not possess the basic power that was common in her world.

Aura the manifestation of one's soul.

"You don't have an aura don't you?" she asked once again but received no answer.

Seeing that there may be a chance to save the boy's life she tried to unlock his aura.

With the training she has done and endured throughout the years she was the only one in the academy that has the power to unlock the aura of a person.

She hovered her hand on his head and closed her eyes as her skin glowed in a red color while the boy was shining in crimson red.

"For it is in passing that we achieve immortality. Through this, we become a paragon of virtue and glory to rise above all, infinite in distance and unbound by death I release your soul, and by my shoulder protect thee."

As soon as she finished the chant, Pyrrha stopped glowing, as she took several heavy breaths. while the boy was still covered in a crimson red aura. But one thing is for sure he had a lot of aura, for she exhausted her entire aura just to unlock his.

The sound of paramedics could already be heard as she breathed a sigh of relief that they could now bring the boy to a hospital where he could get treated properly.

She noticed that the boy was now starting to move so she tried to calm him down.

"Do you feel better now? Don't worry, I already called some paramedics and they are on their way."

Pyrrha could hear the ambulance had already arrived at their location, as she felt a tugged on her hand. Looking down she could finally see the boy's eye. It was the color green, the same as her eyes but his eyes had a reptilian like slits.

"Thank you," the boy could only mutter softly before closing his eyes once again.

Soon the paramedics had already taken the boy to the ambulance together with Pyrrha and went to the hospital to treat the boy from his injuries.

Issei groggily opened his eyes, as he rubbed them both and stood up from the ground. He looked from right to left but all he could see was darkness.

All that he could remember was the fight, when he passed out after fighting that creature, and being helped by a random girl with red hair.

He could feel that his body was not sore nor he could not feel any injuries in his body. This shocked him the most as he felt all that had happened was real.

He thought about it for a while thinking of what happened to him. He was just walking home from Kuoh Academy just after he was accepted into the school, he fought a weird creature that had tentacles for legs, he summoned a red gauntlet from his left hand and almost died fighting that monster just to save a girl, and now he is here in this dark abyss which has nothing in it.

He took a look at his left arm. He remembers the voice that came from it and the power that he received from it. He looked at it for a while before he let out a tired sigh.

"Did all of that just happen? Am I dead?"

He took a look at his left arm again until a loud voice came from the dark.

[Best believe that all happened, and no you are not dead.]

It was the same voice he heard in his dreams and when he was fighting with that creature.

Issei only let out a sigh as someone confirmed that he was not dead. But that only answered one of his questions in the pool of bountiful questions that was flowing through his mind: who was that voice, where was he, what happened to my body, and who was that girl that saved him in the forest.

[You probably have a lot of questions right now… To be fair you just fought a devil and survived.]

Issei widened his eyes. The voice was now telling him that he just fought a devil.

"A devil!"

[Yes, a devil.]

"But those things only exist in the bible right?" Issei could not believe what he was hearing. He fought a devil! He has heard of devils and angels before when he visits his friend Irina; his father always told stories from the bible whenever they played together. Well those were good times for him, it was until they had to move to England which ended up leaving Issei alone without a friend.

[Well I should start explaining some things to you since you are now dragged into another world different from what you lived with before, literally!]

"Yes, can you please explain what happened," Issei asked as the voice sighed in return before speaking again.

[Very well then, we have a little bit more time so i'll make this quick.]

The voice proceeded to explain everything about the supernatural world, where all mythological creatures such as Devils, angels, fallen angels, and gods exist. But among those creatures that he explained the voice was proudly explaining the dragon race in which there were two gods who controlled over the infinity and the dream.

After explaining the different creatures the voice then explained the great war between the Devils, angels, and the fallen angel factions. They battled for centuries until they had reached a stalemate with the fallen angels pulling out from the war first, and the devils soon after losing more than half of their clans and their leaders, as well as the angel faction who also lost their leader, The God of The Bible.

The voice explained that the reason that they had reached a stalemate was because two dragons interrupted their war which were the Red Dragon Emperor of Domination Y Ddraig Goch also known as the Sekiryuutei, and the White Dragon Emperor of Supremacy Albion Gwiber also known as the Hakuryuuko in which the three factions decided to work together to fight the two dragons and finally slay them, as their souls were sealed into sacred gears in which he the voice explained that these were tools for mortals as protection from the supernatural.

But their victory over the dragons did not come without sacrifices. As the devils lost all of their leaders while the angel faction lost their leader The God of the Bible.

After that explanation Issei could only open his mouth in shock with all of this information that he took in.

"So that means everything from those mythologies are real?"

[That's right.]

The voice confirmed once again as Issei took a look at his gauntlet as he remembered that the devil he fought called him the Sekiryuutei. So he then asked another question once again.

"The gauntlet that I summoned earlier was a sacred gear right? And that devil also called me the Sekiryuutei, does that mean you are one of those dragons that they sealed into sacred gears?"

[That is correct!] the voice answered as the area became silent.

A pillar of fire suddenly rose up from the ground as Issei suddenly fell on the ground caused by the sudden burst of flames, as a ring of fire surrounded him and the pillar of fire finally started to die down.

As the fire faded out the image of a giant red western dragon could be seen with emerald green eyes with red and golden spikes around its body and an emerald green gem on the middle of its chest.

[Then let me introduce myself! I am The Red Dragon Emperor of Domination Y Ddraig Goch, and you Hyoudou Issei is the new wielder of the Boosted Gear.]

"I have a dragon inside me! That's so cool!"

[Yes you could say that it is cool, so from now on until you die we are now partners Hyoudou Issei.]

"So you were the one that gave me powers in that fight?"

[Yes I did.]

Issei then proceeded to bow his head down in front of him.

[What are you doing that for?]

"Thank You!"

[What do you mean by thank you?]

"If it wasn't for you I would've not saved that girl from before," Issei thanked him as he raised his head.

[Just be thankful that I didn't need more parts to transform so that you could use the boosted gear.]

he raised an eyebrow as when the dragon had said that he had to transform some body part of his just to use the sacred gear.

"What do you mean you had to transform some of my body parts? What did you do to my body?!"

[At that point your body was too weak to handle the Boosted Gear, and you wanted more power so I had no choice but to transform your ears, eyes, and your tongue into a dragon part to compensate for the boost that you used in your fight against that devil.]

Issei then reached his hand to his ears and was surprised that he felt that his ears were now pointy and the usual smooth texture that it had were now rough as it was covered in scales.

He also struck his tongue out and it was now longer than before and it was pointier than before.

'Heh, imagine the things I could do with this tongue,' as soon as he saw his new tongue he began to imagine lewd things he could do when he would eventually get his future harem.

He laughed in his mind not knowing that Ddraig could read his thoughts and feelings.

[Seems like your head is full of things like that as always.] Ddraig said it while making a sigh.

"Shut up! I'm at that age! …And what did you want to talk about?"

[I don't mind talking about the opposite sex.]

"You were listening?"

[Well I am always with you, so I can hear it whether I want to or not.]

'Is that so? So you can hear everything. And it's even worse because it seems like he can hear my thoughts as well.'

While Issei was taking all of this he just now remembered what Ddraig told him earlier that intrigued him.

"Hey Ddraig I have a question…"

[Is it about Oppai?]

"No! It's not that… It's about what you said earlier," Issei retorted back, making Ddraig raise an eyebrow.

[Go on…]

"What do you mean by being dragged into another world earlier?"

[Ah right… It seems after we fought that devil, a portal appeared below you and you were teleported to another world.]

"How do you know That this is another world?"

[Well for one the girl earlier unlocked something within you which I have never seen before, but I heard she called it an Aura and she was chanting something while trying to unlock it in your body.]

"I do remember that I started glowing after she did that to me right?"

[Yes, and after she finished the chant the wound on your stomach began to heal on its own.]

"Are you sure you were not just familiar with it?"

[what do you mean?]

"What I mean is that this is something that you just discovered right now, and we're still in our world right?..."

[I've survived over hundreds of years, countless battles, and has been passed down from human to human everytime one of my users die, and let me tell you… What that girl did to your body, was not from our world.]

Issei couldn't believe he was in another world. He wanted to go to other worlds like the ones in his video games but not like this. He still cares about his family, his friends, and his precious collection. Issei was now going through a rollercoaster of emotions at the moment. He was currently going through the five stages of grief.

Denial

"Maybe we're just in a part of the world in which you had never discovered?"

Anger

"Dammit if it wasn't for that devil i would not be in this mess to begin with!

Bargaining

"Hey Ddraig… You're an all mighty dragon right? Can't you teleport us to our world?"

[I can't do that... I'm sorry…]

Depression

"My family… my friends… my porn stash…"

Acceptance

Issei now sat down curling himself up while holding his knees.

"Then this is it I'm stuck here in this world forever…"

"Okaasan, Oto-san, Obaasan, I'll never see my family again…" Issei could only cry out as he could not see his family again.

Ddraig seeing this felt bad about his partner. He was still a kid who just experienced a life and death situation against a devil, and after that he got transported into another world. Ddraig then remembered a particular dragon who guards the gap between dimensions.

[You know I just remembered someone who travels across dimensions, who is also the one who keeps the dimensions in order.]

Issei hearing this wiped his tears and looked at Ddraig with a small glint of hope in his eyes.

"Who?"

[His name is Great Red also known as the Apocalypse Dragon, the True Red Dragon God Emperor, and the Dragon of Dragons! He is also the one who resides in the dimensional gap who guards the dimensions.]

"How does that help my current situation?"

[If ever Great Red comes by this dimension I could probably sense him and we could finally get back home.]

"Then I could see my family again!"

[Correct, but for the meantime we wait, and while we wait, shall we work on your newfound strength and better yourself.]

"Yes, seeing how weak I was against that devil, I want to make myself stronger to defeat those who get in my way and save many people."

Hearing that resolve Ddraig could only smile at what his partner was saying.

"And to save many girls so that I will have a MASSIVE HAREM filled with a lot of beauties!"

With that statement it only made Ddraig laugh out loud as it made Issei curious why he was laughing.

[Hahaha! It's also my first time having a host like you as well. Most of the hosts in the past either got too proud of our powers or too terrified of our powers, with none of them living a decent life.]

"Huh? Am I abnormal? Am I weird?"

[You are weird but not abnormal. Either way you are a being that is possessed by a dragon. In whatever age and country, Dragons represent power. You know how, even though they come in many different forms and shapes, there are pictures and carvings of dragons in many different countries? Throughout the ages humans admired dragons, respected dragons, and feared dragons. Unwittingly, dragons fascinate those around them. Or those with power gather around the dragons. If there are people who come to you with admiration or to challenge you, then it's most likely the power of the dragon.]

"It sounds like an inconvenient power. So am I going to be targeted by a lot of guys?"

[To fight strong foes that are attracted to power. That's the path of those who possess the dragon-emperor. But you don't have to be pessimistic. Women would come to you as well.]

"Are you serious!?"

[Yeah, I'm serious. All of my hosts were surrounded by the opposite sex. I think you call them popular, right? They didn't have to worry about the opposite sex at all.]

"Then there are some people who had…se-sse-sex with a girl!?"

[There was a guy who slept with a different woman every night.]

"Uooooooo… Are you serious… You… No, you sir are an amazing Sacred Gear like that!?"

Issei bowed his head down and spoke to him with respect. He didn't know that this Sacred Gear was an amazing item like that. That information became a light of hope to Issei.

[…You are suddenly looking at me with respect and are talking to me with respect… It's certainly my first time having a host like you who changes his attitude like that.]

"What are you talking about Ddraig-sensei! I'm not in a position to say rude things to you! Aaaah, sensei, I will be under your care from now on!"

[…You're seriously a man who is hard to understand. But certainly it's going to get interesting. So what do you tell them when you wake up? They will definitely ask you some questions.]

"I don't know… Any idea how we will handle this?"

[hmm… I think you should fake having amnesia.] Ddraig recommended to Issei but Issei soon shook his head in response as he soon spoke again.

"Amnesia? But I don't know how to act!"

[I'll help you. I think it's best to stay low for a while and get to know about this new world. And I think faking having amnesia is the best way.]

Issei only nodded as he accepted the idea. After a while Ddraig taught him the basic's at acting.

[Just remember to go along with the flow and you'll be alright. ]

"Alright, let's do this!" Issei proclaimed as he raised his hand up in the air as he began to fade out from their mindscape.

Issei was now waking up after his conversation with Ddraig. As he groggily opened his eyes, his vision was met with the white walls of a hospital and there was a iv tube inserted in his wrist.

Looking to his left side he could see a monitor which was showing his heartbeat.

Well it was the typical hospital room he could see anywhere. He was still aware that he was in a new world right now but it seems that he has calmed down a bit since the world he has now been sent to is as modern as his old world.

When suddenly the door to his room opened which made him tense up a bit.

What came in from the outside was a man in a white robe with a paper holder in his arms.

Issei assumed that this was the doctor so he proceeded to calm down.

"Hello there young man, I am Dr. Gasper, and you are?" The doctor introduced themselves as he asked Issei for his name.

"Hyoudou Issei, but you can call me Issei Dr. Gasper," The doctor replied before sitting down beside Issei's bed in a chair.

"Well Issei you may be wondering how you ended up in here,"

"Yeah… how did I end up here?" Issei asked as the doctor looked into his papers before speaking.

"Well a day ago you were brought here when you were terribly injured, you are lucky that we hooked you up into an Aura amplifying machine. If not you would not have survived," The doctor responded as Issei made a grim expression.

"I almost died!"

"Yes you were at the brink of death, but you were saved by Pyrrha Nikos when she unlocked your aura,"

"Wait, what's aura?" to this question Dr. Gasper made a stunned look at Issei and proceeded to ask him another question.

'Wait this kid doesn't know aura?'

"Issei don't you know what aura is?" The doctor questioned Issei, making sure he heard him correctly.

"I don't know what that is," at this response the doctor tensed a bit and thought Issei was now having amnesia, so he decided to ask more questions which anyone in Remnant could answer.

"Do you know about the city Argus?"

"No…"

"How about Remnant, and the 4 kingdoms Mistral, Vale, Vacuo, or Atlas?"

"I also don't know those places," at this point the doctor was now sure Issei is now suffering from amnesia.

"What do you remember before you went unconscious Issei?"

"The only thing I remember before I passed out was that I was attacked by something but I managed to escape it and then I passed out,"

"Hmm… I think you are suffering from Amnesia Issei, do you remember any family members?"

At that question Issei made a sad look on his face as he was presented with another reminder that he could not see his family once again.

The Doctor notices this and proceeds to change the topic.

"I'm sorry for asking that question, but Issei we will try to help you to recover your memories and try to look for your family."

"You'd do that?"

"Ofcourse," Issei felt relieved but he sensed that there was a catch," but we could only help you for one week before your family could pick you up or if they didn't show up you'd be put into an orphanage,"at the last statement shocked Issei.

"Wait what!" Issei exclaimed in shock.

"Well Issei we are a hospital after all and we don't work for free," Issei understood that of course so he accepted.

"I understand…"

"It's all going to be ok Issei, this hospital provides the very best treatment and care for their patients."

"I see, that makes me feel good."

"Now I'm gonna go get some books and bring them here so that you could read them and maybe jog your memory back into your brain."

"Thank you Dr. Gasper."

The doctor soon walked out of the room and went to get the books.

When the doctor returned he had brought a mountain of books all with different labels and titles.

Issei worried that he could not read the books when he was about to read them, but his worries were gone when he realized that the books were written in english.

He wondered why he could understand Dr. Gasper and Pyrrha the girl who saved him in the forest, it turns out because of the dragonified body parts in his body he could now understand, speak, hear their languages fluently. And in addition to that he could now also have enhanced eyesight and hearing.

But while reading the books he was given. He soon discovered that he was in a world called Remnant, and that there were 4 kingdoms across Remnant that being Vale, Mistral, Vacuo, and Atlas.

While reading he has learned about the 2 intelligent races that inhabit the world he was in which were humans and faunus, but he was more curious about the faunus, people with animalistic traits. With his new appendages he was now considered a faunus in this world.

"Hmm… So this means that there are catgirls or foxgirls in this world! I can't wait to meet one and add one to my harem," Issei joyfully say to himself before continuing reading the books

He also learned about their history and their culture, with Mistral being the most familiar with his old homeland of Japan.

Next he read about hunters who hunt Grimms with their cool weapons which he compared to Gundam weapons with lots of mechanics and interchangeable parts. The books also described aura and how it is a manifestation of one's soul, and the lucky individuals who have unlocked their semblances.

For a week he has learned the basic knowledge of any individual here on Remnant, but his time at the hospital is running out.

"Well Issei this is your last day, we have tried everything but it seems you still could not remember any of your family."

"I tried Dr. Gasper but I really couldn't…"

"Issei it hurts me to say this to you but we are now going to put you into an orphanage,"

"I understand Dr. Gasper."

Issei was soon discharged from the hospital and was now put into an orphanage owned by someone called Mama Luna.

A/N

Well this took a while and I'm sorry. With all the studies I had to take lately, and the games I have been playing these few months and my procrastination getting the better of me. I have delayed making my stories for a long time. And I'm sorry. I really hope I can get back into writing at my old pace instead of my current pace.

But now onto the story notes.

Issei here will be in an orphanage where he will meet my OC, yes you heard that right my very first OC which will be introduced in the next chapter. And let's just say my OC and Issei have the same taste for something round and soft.

To any of you who wished to have a Issei and Pyrrha interaction in this chapter, I'm sorry but I had to put it in the next chapter since I already have planned on how to do it.

So how can Issei join Beacon if he does not have a family or any money. Well have you guys wondered how Ren and Nora got to beacon Academy without any money and there were orphans too? Then it came to me what if there were a tournament or a race where the prize is a free scholarship to Beacon Academy. So that's what I'm going to do. Have a tournament where Issei and my Oc will join and try to win a free scholarship to Beacon Academy.
