Kakashi
"...Arise and serve your master." With those words being spouted the air grew cold. Strange seals I'd never seen were drawn to the ground made of pure chakra glowing with a purple hue.
"Naruto, you'll handle Kaguya. Sakura protects the clients," I ordered them. Taking a kunai from my pouch.
"What about you sensei?" asked Sakura.
"I'll handle the enemy," I lifted the hitaite that covered my left eye. 'This guy is more powerful than me by a long shot.'
The being pauses whatever it is doing, finding the weird blood-colored eye I have to be interesting. "You have an accursed eye? Most strange, I did not sense it when I studied your mind, son of Sakumo." it then clasped its hand. "I'll enjoy playing with you Inu." I narrowed my eyes when he called me Inu trying to find a myriad of ways how he could find that information. That thought was cut short by horrors beyond comprehension that arose from the ground, bodies that were in the middle of decomposition and mechanical transition. It has purple eyes same as the one the being has. "Entertain me!!" The summoned bodies are 3 in number, charging at me, their arms split to extend a metal sword.
The first one is a man that looks like in his early twenties, slashes vertically with his sword intending to rend me in half. His speed is on the cusp of almost reaching Kage-level shinobi. Almost. With ease, I easily blocked it with my kunai, and then with a fluidity that was trained myself, and all that sparring, I have with a taijutsu monster almost every day. I stabbed his head only for it to miss. That surprised me. The man is strong and fast but he lacks the skill to even call a genin. Feeling a tingling in my senses, I rolled sideways dodging a slash attack that came from a familiar face.
"What did you do to them?!!" I roared, finding the sight in front of me despicable, repulsive, and inhuman. Of all the sights I have seen in my entire life, all of that war, all of that imagery of human torment; this is one of the ones that could threaten to break my mind. As the slaves, he had summoned is the very family we were duty-bound to protect. The previously smiling and grumbly faces of an old loving couple now morphed into a parody of horror.
That demon grin becomes wider, a low chuckle trying hard not to cackle. "Ahh, it's all paid off. Seeing that kind of reaction is all worth it." a sinister smile is made by him, "I think you should look behind you, copy ninja." Naruto and Sakura gasp for air as they're held on the neck raised from the ground by Lady Reze. Without thinking my body moves on its own trying to save them. Sakura's arm was the first one to stop resisting and her gasp for air became meeker. The kunai I held on my arm was thrown at Lady Reze. It was fruitful as she had to let go of her hold to dodge the attack, throwing Sakura and Naruto on the ground harshly.
"Quick thinking from you student of the 4th. Saving the son of your teacher," he dropped another critical piece of information that no one should've known like it was a normal thing. "This one will not be so easy!" its eyes bulge with veins as a familiar eye takes form.
'Byakugan,' I thought to myself. 'That's impossible. How can it have…'
"Byakugan? Another interesting name you humans made."
'How did he.'
"Listen to your thoughts right? Let's just say I'm just a scout for the bigger fish when they find a certain task to be not worth their time. Under normal circumstances, that bastard Momoshiki will be here. The fate of our lady princess changes a lot of the original plan."
"Why did you call Kaguya a Princess?! How do you know her?" This is my only chance to have info on what's going on and to book it with the three of them there's no way I can face him. His way above my league.
"Just one talk and you already think I'm the slippery type. Now you've insulted me." its face darken and a feral smile was directed at me. "Let me teach you some respect!!" it slaves back away letting their master fight me head on. it sounded so cocky yet his skills are abysmal only at the bare minimum what a Jonin might have. Even if it has the byakugan it doesn't have the fighting style the Hyuga developed but instead swings aimlessly, the only thing that is compensating for its lack of skill is its speed and strength with every punch I block I can feel the bone in my arm slightly sound. Noticing that I can't trade blow for blow, I opted to dodge its every move with the help of my Sharingan. "Stop dodging you little brat!!"
'Fire style: Great fireball technique!' I did the hand sign as fast as my body could. Spewing a large fireball toward the creature that burned the grass while traveling to hit its target. Not expecting it to hit, I prepared another Jutsu just in case. Sensing up, down, left, and right I waited for it to dodge the attack.
"Pathetic." The fireball swirled mid-air as if it was stopped by something shrinking until it was gone. "I thought these Jutsus you ninjas have invented have some merit." He spits out with disgust. "Do you know how disappointed I am finding that our resources are being used for a party trick?!" The ground shakes and cracks. "Hundred of centuries to find the perfect seed only for it to be used for this!!!"
Faster and stronger than the ones I cast to burn him with. The same Jutsu I just used comes out of his third eye. 'Earth style: Mud wall.' A wall of risen earth blocked the attack, the fire chipping it away slowly. When I felt that the heat had stopped a familiar sound of chirping birds could be heard across the forest. Destroying the mudwall that defended me with a blade of lightning, my step was as fast as thunder. For in my hand is my strongest Jutsu. "Chidori!!!" The demon's slaves desperately tried to save their master only to fail as their hearts were pierced by my hand. A squelch and strange gold-corrupted blood stained my hand with white meeting red. "How's that? for pathetic." Removing his hand from stabbing its body I waited for the creature to gargle or fall to its death.
"I underestimated you, Hatake Kakashi. That old man was right Konoha would be in good care of you. Too bad that's not going to happen." I retreated with a jump, readying my body for round two. Not panicking seeing the wound I have caused upon it instantly heals. "Play time's over."
Kaguya
'Where am I? A traditional room made out of wood and tatami floorboard; the place is real, yet why do I feel like this room is merely my reverie somnambulant thought? I've never stepped in this room or even known of it, but Deja Vu just has to show its face. Lying on a soft, well-made; high-quality bed, I tried to wake up, but the bed is just too comfortable, a familiar feeling of warmth that I'd dearly missed for millennia ago.
"Kaasan, just ten more minutes, please?"
Half of my body jolted upward. My head was ringing as images– no, memory after memory kept coming, my jaw clenched, my back bent forward meeting my leg with my hands supporting my head as I tried to contain the pain.
Untold destruction.
Land being destroyed by a single woman.
People were subjugated, and forced to kneel with their livelihoods destroyed. It was horrible imagery of cold efficient slaughter. Her reign was unchallenged as what is a man compared to a malevolent goddess?
That woman resembles me in almost every detail except for her older figures. My hair, my eyes, my skin, and my face. Comes with her are titles that I do not want to associate with.
She Who Hunger For Blood
The Great Mother of Savagery
The Ruler of a Thousand Ashes
Kaguya the Rabbit Goddess of Destruction
It was horrible
But before all of that wanton violence, I stand like an unseen third person witnessing the same woman as a child. She played with her dolls and adorned a brilliant innocent smile. She was happy– happy with the life she has. Wearing fine clothes of the finest material– she almost looks like royalty. That contrasted with the woman chasing her. She was the same as the little girl and me with her complexion. A look of tiredness and sweat being built up over time and wearing the simple clothing of a lowly servant.
" Catch me if you can, mother!!" The girl encouraged the now-revealed mother, surprising me as I didn't realize their relationship; the encouragement didn't work as the woman who was just called such a respectable and loving title by her daughter glared balefully at her flesh and blood. When the little girl flashed a smile to her, her face turned into a jovial smile as if nothing ever happened.
'Who are they?' I was confused, so extremely confused. This saddening memory made me smile; a genuinely large smile. Does this memory, no matter how sorrowful it looks, gain happiness for the monster? My confusion slowly turned to anger as I thought about the older woman's action. How can a mother hate her daughter? Who so clearly loves her? The notion is absurd and angers me, no mother should be this hateful to their children.
Time passes. The memories led me to an image of a dark room being lit by torches that were attached to pillars of stone. A throne was presented for a person I've seen, "She is chosen, no matter how many times you try to deny it she is perfect." It was the same old man that has held me so endearingly in my past dreams. All that loving gaze was directed at another girl, her arm being held by her mother which surprises me again.
"Mama, did I do something wrong?" The child looked up at her mother. The mother did not speak, her hold on the child strengthened. She was surprised by her question, her face morphed into a mixture of surprise and regret. She didn't answer her question, opting for silence as if the answer was too bitter to say.
"Rejoice, child, for a great honor, has been bestowed upon you." The Old man said proudly answering the child's question. "Being chosen as the divine tree gardener is a great thing to happen if a family member is chosen."
"Then why does Mama want to cry?" The woman's eyes are wide as she glances at the old man, absolute fear was clear to be read on her face. She wiped her tears trying to hide her true emotion and give the confused little girl a practiced fake smile.
"My princess, I am not crying. I'm proud of you daughter you've chosen to be the gardener of the Divine tree." The woman said such a blatant lie it was so easy to spot on but for a child, the word of their mother is to be trusted.
"Is that a good thing?" The little girl asked innocently. Her confused face was slightly fading with a flicker of such emotion left. The question was never answered as the memories switched and another jolt of pain was felt. Surging through my entire body burning my nerves with fake imaginary fires and the force spikes being impaled to my spine.
It was the same room I'm in, but messier with the ground shaking and the horrible sound of men and women screaming their agony. The only comfort was the same woman who first gave the look of hatred to her daughter now hugging the little girl like she was the most precious thing in the world.
I had formerly just stood as an observer suddenly being pulled by some mysterious force. My vision of mine right now transferred itself to the girl who is being hugged watching the shaky ceiling.
"I can't believe this is our last day, my princess. Why did you have to be picked, why not anyone else?! Why do they have to take my only daughter ?" she sobbed, her tears were genuine such pure emotion only to be reserved for family and loved ones. I'm not her family, I'm not her daughter. We've never met. Yet how can a mother's love be given to me? An absolute stranger. I can't help but hug her back trying to comfort her. "Promise me Kaguya Promise me. Even after thousands of years when I left this world, can you promise to never forget about me ?"
"I promise- mother," the lie came out of my mouth. " I promise to never forget about you."
The room started to deteriorate, the ceiling falling and the floorboards cracking. I slipped into the hole screaming in panic, afraid that I would die."Mama!" I desperately try to hold her as she catches my hand. I look below to see an endless abyss and a purple eye with 9 tomoes rotating.
"Please don't forget about me Kaguya, please my daughter." her eyes accepted that I might fall.
"Mama, don't let go, please, don't let go!" I beg her with all of my emotion not letting through as the hold gets weaker. No, no, no. I don't want this. "Please don't leave me!"
"I love you Kaguya," she said with watery eyes.
I fell into the abyss, my mother's face growing ever distant with every second. Desperately flailing my eyes around to do something, anything that could save my life. The purple eye now the size of the moon stared at me with a judgemental eye. As I met its surface the eye cracked like glass transferring me back to the traditional room.
Sweat drenched my clothing and the bed I was lying in as I took time trying to process what I had just seen. The room was freezing. I tried to use the blanket to warm myself but it was no use. It was too cold.
Then the room itself extended the wall in front of me elongated until I couldn't see the end as no light was there to illuminate the new side of the room.
Dread the next thing I felt was dread. Instinctively a primal desire for me to survive kicked in as I scurry my way to meet the back of my body on the wall trying to distance my way as much as possible from the darkened side.
First the horn
Next her face
Then her whole body
The same woman I've just seen in my memories is floating in front of me with disgust filling her face. My breath became erratic seeing my life flash before my very eyes.
A dead silent stare from a monster incarnate.
(A/N: it took me 4 weeks and 3 drafts to make this scene (Kaguya's) in my image. Life is a pain.)
Naruto
This is hopeless, sensei is being played as if he was a plaything. Sakura is unconscious because she doesn't have my regeneration ability and Kaguya is immobilized because of genjutsu. That monster while having an erratic fighting style doesn't mean it is stupid. It systematically made Sensei focus on him and then targeted us using our client's bodies, surprising me and Sakura. It assesses correctly that we are the weakest link of the team and like a predator separates us from our protector.
Sensei is desperately trying to hold off that monster with everything he has. I wish I could help but I know my limit, the being he is fighting is beyond the level of Kage. Trees are uprooted easily by his hands and power beyond imagination wielded by him like it was a toy. He said he was taking this fight seriously but I could tell he was just bullshitting. I know Sensei is fighting someone above his weight class and hopelessly undermatch; the question is why didn't that monster end this fight immediately instead of flaunting its powers?
I have to do something that could help us to escape and survive this fight. I was attaching another paper bomb attached with string and immediately scrapped that idea because I know it will not be effective. I gripped the paper bomb tightly just staring at it. 'Talk about being a Hokage when my arsenal is freaking barebone.' What could I do except throw Kunai and smoke bombs against that kind of opponent it won't even sting.
I'm a useless brat.
Maybe those villages are right after all.
I don't have worth.
Their sacrifice amounts to nothing.
I am nothing.
'You finally get it.'
'What?' a pool? No- a cage. A mass of bubbling fox-like forms stare at me doing some sort of malicious smile. "9-tails," I said coldly.
" The jailor finally met its prisoner." Said the abominable creature. "Is it time for you to use my power?" a jail with bleak surroundings and a flooded floor I stared at the visible unformed chakra with uninterest.
"No," I replied with ice. Breaking out of the mental imagery of the jail with my sheer will, not wanting to hear the word of the demon.
' But what can you do? Except for toiling in your unworthiness to be even called a Shinobi.' The 9-tails speak inside my head. 'Use my power. And win this fight to save the ones you love.'
"I don't need your power Kyuubi. I'll gain strength and the respect I wanted without your help."
"With what? Ink and Kunai?" It laughs, "What will you do knowing that It wouldn't even scratch whatever that thing is?"
"Watch me," with determination I ran full speed toward Sensei trying to help him any way I could. Sensei is cornered by the monster, he is on the edge of defeat as he is losing ground and momentum of the fight. Taking out my Kunais whose handles are wrapped with paper bombs I throw 6 of them at the monster who caught it with its hand and a smirk can be seen on it. It was about to throw it back at me, but I was fast enough to manually activate the bomb with a hand sign.
BOOM
The explosion blew its arm into bits as shrapnel from the kunai tore the left side of its body giving an opening for sensei to deliver a roundhouse combo making the being tumble and roll on the ground taking up dirt with it and destroying several trees. It stops when it hits a giant piece of rock hitting its head; a cracking sound can be heard from afar and the force of the impact makes bits of stone fly in the air.
'Note to self: Niisan is Kage Level. Don't fuck with him.'
"Naruto, I told you to run!"Sensei said with a half angry mixed with worry. "This is not the time for you to play hero!"
"Not going to happen Sensei. I don't like seeing the one I look up to being killed. Besides, you look like you need some help."
"Do I look like I care? I ordered you to save your teammates and run away to tell information to the village. Naruto I don't think we have any chance to win this fight. That thing is beyond my power to face." Said Sensei.
"Even more reason for me to help. You're hopelessly outmatched by whatever that thing is if we want to survive this fight or no matter how low the chance is to win we have to work together."
Sensei grit his teeth trying to make it into fine powder. "fine! But if the situation calls for it you will retreat."
"Who decides that he can retreat?" The being floated calmly toward us, his previously blown arm regenerating, a maniacal grin, and his previously purple eye turned yellow. His eyes bore into me then into my stomach. "You have a piece of the divine tree, you have our blood- no matter how tainted it is. A peculiar human child. Son of the leader of your people and a fiery princess. Your past is filled with hatred and contempt as the village your family and yourself have served ostracized you. Yet you still choose to lead them trying to be their greatest protector. How curious." The 9 layers on his eyes rotated making the previously calm demeanor turn into pure surprisement.
"The child of prophecy." He laughed. "Isn't that just wonderful? My people's greatest threats in his weakest form. First I found that the princess is nothing but a little girl now finding that I can kill you with ease." Sensei put his hand in front of me trying to protect me. "He will be satisfied with my work." A sword made out of bone tore open its palm and it pointed the weapon at us.
It sped up intending to pierce me with the organic weapon. I felt the collar of my jacket being tugged as Kakashi-sensei responded quickly to save me and put up a giant mud wall that was the size of a building. The wall was instantly broken by the being a hole made by its pure strength. It is annoyed. I was dropped by Sensei as he is focusing on trying to counter whatever move that thing will make.
"Damn you and your eye Kakshi.'' With horror, I saw blood come out of Niisan's body; the being made a new sword emerging from its palm to pierce him. Niisan's body fell to the ground with the sword still piercing his body.
And Something just snapped inside me.
Desperation turned to hate. I hate it. It threatens the one I love, kills innocent people, and uses them as if they were its plaything.
"Are you sure you can win?" The 9-tails voice was heard inside my mind. My consciousness was split in two as each of them stared at their monsterHumans are pathetic," the pale white being said with malice.
A reddish chakra surrounds me. I felt a surge of power, my senses getting stronger and I felt invisible. And the most important of all, rage, I felt a burning rage inside me hating the ones who are responsible.
"WRAHHHHGGGGG"
The sword of the pale being was destroyed by my hands as I traded blow after blow with it. It was surprised at my sudden surge of power. Its body was sent flying into the air hitting the still-standing mud wall where large pieces of falling earth returned to the ground. I chased how with surprising speed. But before I could even step foot the being was already flying in my direction punching me in the gut. I manage to recover trading blow and blow with it. Its steps are becoming sloppier as each minute passes on.
'I'm winning, '
"No, you're not." Its third eye opened and all the reddish chakra surrounding me was suddenly sucked by it. The 9 tails chakra was dissipating and sucked into his eyes, resisting is futile and all that power I've is gone. "You are special. So young and you can already hit an Otsutsuki. I'll remember your name Naruto Uzumaki."
Time slowed down and the blade was mere centimeters away from killing me. I can't do anything, I'm useless, and even with the power of the Kyuubi I still can't win. 'So this is it. The end of my story. Shame, there is so much that I will leave. My dream and my loved one. At least I'll meet the two of them. I'm sorry Kaguya.'
Crack
A sonic boom and the bone sword were broken again into tiny bits. I stared in disbelief as the girl I promised myself and her father choked the being with such strength that the sound of the bone on its neck being crushed was like an instrument. Her appearance is now more controlled and has an air of dead calm making even me filled with dread at the sight of the woman I love not having even the slightest emotion on her face.
"Kaguya?" Her head snapped at me and three eyes now gave me their full attention. Her horns are longer and veins pop out of her eyes.
"Hello, Kyuubi."
Sorry for being late but one scene really made me out of ideas for three weeks.
