Olivia replies, "Well that's not depressing at all." They all chuckle, and Fitz says, "Look, everybody rubber necks as they pass an accident. This is a train wreck waiting to happen, so when it occurs we will all be front and center checking out the carnage." Mellie replies, "That's morbid, but very true."
They all are in agreement and finish eating their food as they notice the morning is getting away from them. After eating and clearing the table, Mellie asks, "Hey is everyone's parents coming for parent's weekend?" Surprisingly to her everybody says, "Yes."
She looks at Fitz and asks, "Big Gerry is coming to parents weekend?" He nods as he replies, "I know it seems like a far fetched idea. But yeah. Him and aunt Ro are coming. What about your parents." She's impressed by his response, but says, "Yes. They're coming. My mother called me this morning to confirm and let me know they'll be arriving Friday. So we shall see how this goes."
Olivia gives a supportive response as she says, "I'm sure it will be fine Mel. All of our parents will be here; so the up side is we can all support each other through this stressful time. You're not alone." They all band together as they say, "Yes. We're in this together."
She smiles as she feels the comradery among them, and replies, "Thanks guys. I appreciate you all." They all nod and say, "You're welcome." Abby wipes down the counter as she says, "Well, that's all for kitchen duty folks, and it was worth it for such a great meal. Thanks everybody for your contributions."
Everyone is content and ready to relax before they have to get moving to start their day. Mellie feels the need to get scarce and says, "It's been fun guys. I am going to take a nap before I have to head in this afternoon. Have a great day everybody."
They all say good bye to her, and as she walks away Olivia and Fitz have a seat in the living room and Harry says, "I need to go pack my bag. I'll be ready in a minute Fitz."
He smiles at him as he replies, "Take your time man, we've got an hour before we've got to go." He nods as he says, "cool."
He gets halfway down the steps before Olivia says, "Hey Abs, he may need your help." She grins as she clears her throat as she gets up, following him down the steps as she says, "Forget yall."
They hear the door close moments later and Fitz says, "They're hilarious." She replies, "Yes they are. But I think they're cute together."
He replies, "I think they make a good match if that's what they want."
She agrees as she says, "True. Has Harry mentioned anything to you about what he's looking for?" He looks at her with a tilted head, and she asks, "Did I say something wrong?"
He smiles as he says, "Come on Liv. You know I can't tell you anything he's said to me about them."
She responds, "I was asking in jest, not to spy." He laughs at her response and she has to laugh too, knowing she clearly was trying to get the scoop.
The laughter settles and she says, "Seriously, I do hope they figure it out." He nods as he says, "Me too. Whatever works for them."
He then says, "So i guess it's safe to say Mellie didn't hear us this morning." She sighs as she replies, "I think you're right. But I'll know for sure later tonight. We're suppose to have dinner, just the three of us." He nods as he says, "Oh, okay. What brought that on?"
She responds, "Mellie asked me about it when we were cooking this morning. She said she has some things she wants to talk to me and Abby about and wants to reconnect. I think she's trying to change, and we should give her the benefit of the doubt and hear her out."
He replies, "I agree. It should definitely be interesting if nothing else. She does seem more thoughtful and appears to be actually trying to be apart of the group, which is cool to see."
She agrees as she says, "I feel the same way. So we'll see how it goes at dinner."
He puts his arm around her and she leans into him as he says, "It will be just fine babe Don't stress." She responds, "I won't. But if I do. You can help me work it out I'm sure."
He smiles as he responds, "Most definitely." They share a kiss that begins to heat up, and she finds herself on his lap facing him within seconds.
They're so into the moment, they don't notice Mellie walking through the living room and into the kitchen. She's wearing her earbuds and at first she doesn't see them on the couch.
But when she exits the kitchen and turns toward the hallway leading to her bedroom she sees them in full make out mode.
She has to catch herself, and manages to leave the room before they see her or before she reacts. She simply wasn't ready to see them in full vigor that way, but there it was for all to see.
And now she has to determine how she feels about it. She picks up the phone and calls Kaylee for support. Needing help to be talked down in the moment. But there's no answer so she's stuck with sorting through her thoughts, alone.
Downstairs, opting to make good on her promise, it didn't take long before they were naked and back at it. He's laying across the bed and she's bouncing atop him like a basketball. He's sucking on her breasts as she works him below, thrusting and twerking her hips.

He responds, "I know. But I've got to hit the gym it's leg day, and then I have some studying to do for next week's exams." She nods as she says, "I get it. You're busy."
He doesn't like the way she says it, even if its true, so he says, "Hey, what are you doing Thursday night?" She responds, "Nothing, why?" He replies, "Would you like to go to dinner?" She smiles as she replies, "Seriously?" He smiles as he says, "Yes. Seriously. I want to take you out."
She responds, "I'd love to. Where do you want to go?"
He replies, "I have a few ideas. But I want it to be surprise. Can you be ready at 7?" She quickly says, "yes!" He tilts his head as he responds, "Red, I mean ready as in walking out the door at 7, not getting in the shower or finishing your make up at 7."
She laughs as she replies, "Oh my goodness. That's happened a few times, but not every time." He smiles as he says, "Whatever you say. But this Thursday can't be one of those times, okay?" She nods as she responds, "Okay. But I need to know where we're going so that I know what to wear."
He replies, "All I will say is that we will have reservations, and there's valet. Does that help?" She grins as she responds, "Yes. it does. Thanks."
He kisses her sweetly as he replies, "Good. Now let me up so I can actually pack my bag." They share a laugh as they get up, wash up and he gathers his things.
A few minutes later he gets ready to go upstairs, but along the way he stops as he turns to her and says, "Hey, thanks for being transparent with me about Kevin. It means allot."
She replies, "Of course. Thanks for being so supportive and understanding about the situation. You didn't have to be."
He nods as he says, "You're welcome." They share a hug and a kiss and she walks him up the steps to find an empty living room, but then Olivia's door opens and she and Fitz come out smiling and kissing in the after glow of love making.
The couples share kisses once more between each other, and the guys leave, as Olivia and Abby go into Olivia's room the chat. No sooner than the door closes does Abby say, "Girl, I think I'm in trouble." Olivia sits down on her bed as she asks, "What? How?"
She replies, "I told him I like him. And he said it back." She smiles as she asks, "And how does that mean you're in trouble?" She responds, "When he said it to me I felt something shift inside of me, because it felt genuine."
Olivia grins as she says, "Girlfriend it sounds like you're falling for him." She responds, "Oh God. I don't want to believe it. But maybe I am."
Olivia replies, "If you are, is it such a bad thing?" She pauses and then says, "I don't think so. I like where things are going, it feels natural, not forced. Oh, and he asked me to go out with him Thursday." She replies, "OOH where?"
She responds, "He said it's a surprise, but I have to be ready by 7, there are reservations and valet."
Olivia smiles as she replies, "Okay! Sounds fancy. What are you going to wear?" She responds, "I have no idea. I'm thinking something super sexy, but classy and elegant. Which doesn't really feel like it's in my closet. So perhaps shopping is in order."
She understands how she feels but says, "Abs, I don't think shopping is necessary. What about that off the shoulder light blue dress? You've never worn it and you look hot in it." She responds, "OOOW I forgot about that one. The silver accents really make it pop too."
She nods as she replies, "Yes. And I have a silver bag and stilettos that would set it off perfectly that you can borrow. And pair that that necklace and earring set your mom gave you for Christmas, and you have a winner."
She bounces for joy as she pictures the outfit coming together in her head. Olivia grins at her excitement and says, "Girl, you're going to look so good. Yall may not make it to the restaurant." They share a laugh and slap hands as Abby replies, "I wouldn't be mad at that."
Olivia says, "OOOW I detect a story behind that remark." Abby blushes and Olivia calls it out as she says, "Oh my goodness Abs, it's like that girl?"
She covers her eyes and giggles like a school girl as she says, "Liv, when I say it's fucking incredible. Girl I have no idea how he knows my body so well, and my God does he know how to use his equipment, you know what I'm saying?"
She nods as she responds, "Yes my dear. I know exactly what you're saying. He makes you feel like you're the only woman he wants and is only out to please you."
She smiles as she replies, "Yes. it's like he's got some type of cheat sheet for my climaxes. I have never orgasm-ed this much in my life, even before penetration, what is that about?"
Olivia laughs as she replies, "Baby girl, you're preaching to the choir. I've had the same questions." She shakes her head as she asks, "What do you do?"
She smiles as she replies, "I enjoy it and embrace it." Abby nods as she says, "Sounds like a solid plan." She replies "It's the best one I've got, and it's working. But I also feel like the more honest and transparent I become with him, the better the interaction is between us inside and outside of the bedroom."
She responds, "So you feel your relationship is growing stronger as a result of you being more open with him sexually?"
She nods as she says, "Yes. Definitely. I mean we've of course known each other for so long that we know each other pretty well anyway, much like you and Harry. But, sex was the one thing we didn't have knowledge of regarding each other until now. And all i can say is damn, he's a quick study. And I'm not mad at it."
They again laugh together in agreement. Abby is relieved to talk to someone who she can relate to and get great advice from.
And Olivia is glad to be of help to her friend as she finds herself potentially starting a new relationship that could go the distance.
Abby recalls something they discussed that she wants to run by her friend, and says, "Before I forget, I told him about Kevin, and you were right. He didn't blink. He just sat there all cool and calm like he didn't matter."
Olivia responds, "I'm not surprised. It takes allot to get him on edge." Abby nods as she says, "I must admit I did get turned on when he asked if he needed to talk to Kevin on my behalf if be didn't back off." Olivia smiles as she replies, "That's understandable. Nothing is hotter than a man who will defend your honor without apprehension."
She agrees with her completely, and before she can respond their conversation is interrupted by Olivia's alarm going off. She looks and says, "Oh damn. I'd better start getting ready for work. Abby replies, "Wow, I'm sorry. I don't want to make you late."
She replies, "Nonsense girl. This was important. And let's be honest, having this conversation in front of Mellie later would likely not be advised."
She agrees as she says, "I know. I was thinking about that too. That's why I wanted to talk to you alone. How do you think she's going to behave the first time she sees you and Fitz kiss or be affectionate around one another?"
Olivia looks at her and says, "I guess we are about to find out tonight. Because today I think she saw us on the couch. I was on his lap facing him, and once we felt things were heating up we headed to my room. I swear when we got to the door, I looked down the hall and we heard her door close."
Abby responds, "Damn, she probably ran back to her room when she saw you two." Olivia nods as she says, "I think so. And i haven't seen her again yet. I'm not sure if I should knock on her door and check on her, or if I should just wait to see what happens at dinner."
Abby responds, "Honestly, I don't think it matters much. At the end of the day you and Fitz are a couple and its inevitable that she's going to see you to together. So she has to get over it." Olivia nods as she says, "Fitz said the same thing. He even said he doesn't want to be in a position where he's reluctant to touch me just because she's around us."
Abby adds, "He makes a solid point, I can't deny that. But I think ultimately you and Mellie having a conversation about it will tell the tale."
She nods as she says, "I agree. But Lord help us. I just want peace, you know?" Abby replies, "I know hon. But we can't forget the fact that before the incident with Nick you and I both were ready to choke her out for her latest antics."
Olivia nods as she says, "You're right. I guess I was just hoping we'd be able to bypass that with the recent events, especially since it feels like she's trying to change."
Abby nods as she replies, "I don't think it's silly, but I do think it's a bit idealistic verses realistic. Mellie is who she is, and while she may be different to a degree because of this experience with Nick, I don't think we can expect her to be a completely different person. Make sense?"
Olivia pauses for a moment as she processes her words and replies, "Yeah, it makes total sense chica. Let's just see what happens I guess."
Abby agrees as she says, "Yes. let's do that." Olivia responds, "Well, let me start getting ready before I'm late. What time are you going in?"
She replies, "Not till 2. So I'm going to go strip my bed, clean my room and come up with a hairstyle for my date before heading to work," Olivia replies, "Sounds like a plan. Hey maybe you can bring up the hair idea to Mellie at dinner and she can help you make a decision."
She nods as she says, "Good idea. She does have a great sense of style." Olivia responds, "Yes, she does. It will be something fun to talk about at dinner, a way to keep things light."
She nods as she says, "Okay. I will keep you posted with what I find. Have a great day at work?" She replies, "You too lady. See you tonight." Abby leaves and Olivia takes a breath as she heads into her closet to dress and get going.
