"You'll be a good girl won't you, my Rose, wouldn't want anything to happen to your precious mother or pet now would you?" The Master whispered in my ear, he was close but he was careful not to touch me.

Two armed escorts came up on either side of me taking me onto the aeroplane.

I watched from behind us as he took the fighting and yelling Jones family from a black van. I'd find a way to save them but I couldn't risk the Master ordering for armed escorts to take my family too.

Once on the aeroplane, 'Harry' turned to his wife. "Lucy, you'll keep an eye on this one for me, won't you?"

His wife nodded before giving me a furtive glance.

It was a relatively quick flight, where I kept my gaze out the window. Occasionally I felt 'Harry's' wife, Lucy, glancing at me at times.

When we were escorted onto the aircraft carrier, 'Valiant', Lucy was oohing and awing but I had seen much more high techs in travel with the Doctor and my past life.

We came into the helm room that had been set up as the newsroom for the day's events. A long table sat in the centre leading up to a grand staircase leading to the helm.

'Harry' pulled out a seat for his wife, "What do you think?"

"Absolutely beautiful."

As he pulled out a seat for me, he bent low and whispered in my ear, "I designed it, every single detail."

'Harry' then went to sit on the other side of his wife. Lucy was almost like a wall between us.

"Two minutes, everybody." The President of the United States spoke in the centre of the room, "According to the Treaty all armed personnel please leave."

The President got ready at the front standing upon the grand staircase of metal and wood.

"Jelly belly?" He reached across his wife to offer.

"No thank you."

"Take one." The master commanded and I searched out a red in the white bag. It would be foolhardy to argue about something this silly. I looked up to see a jealous look coming from his wife or the way his hand shook slightly when it was near me.

Subtly I noticed the presence of my sister but her song sounded distant.

"Broadcasting at 7:58 at the arrival of 18:00 hours exactly. Good luck to us all."

I watched as the President began his speech but I was distracted when I heard the Doctor's song loud and clear in the room. I glanced at the Master to see him excitedly looking at the President's address.

I zoned back in to listen.

"And I ask you now, I ask of the human race to join with me in welcoming our friends. I give you the Toclafane!"

Nearly ten or more of the droid 'aliens' appeared. They stood tall at the top of the staircase overlooking the room.

The President stepped forward, "My name is Arthur Coleman Winters, President elect of the United States of America and designated representative of the United Nations. I welcome you to the planet Earth and its associated moon."

Shiny droid-like heads tilted down, a voice coming from a sound box below their chins. "We will only negotiate with the Master."

The President tried to convince the species but they wouldn't have it.

"You are not the Master. Where's the Master?"

"Alright, alright, alright. I'm here, its me." 'Harry', the Master, stood facing the audience with a large grin on his face. "Sorry, sorry I have this effect on people, they just get obsessed."

I barely stopped the rolling of my eyes.

He looked straight at me with a wink.

"Saxon, what are you talking about?"

"I'm taking control, Uncle Sam. Starting with you."

I closed my eyes, it wasn't time for me to interfere, I wouldn't want to get in the way of the Doctor's plan. With my eyes closed I tried to search out his emotions but with two Time Lords in the same room their songs interrupted my efforts. One thunderous and the other urgent, it was hard to get through the noise to make a connection.

A yell came as the President was disintegrated.

I opened my eyes to see the Master clapping his hands gleefully.

His gaze came upon me, eyes begging to be praised but all he got from me was a frown.

He called his guards, who gained order from the panicked news and remaining government parties.

The Master spread his arms out as if he were trying to give the room an embrace.

"People of Earth, please attend carefully." The Master's eyes narrowed as the Doctor slipped by me and headed toward him. "Stop him!"

I saw the guards rush forward to stop the Doctor, I rolled back in my chair, eyes narrowed waiting when I could help best and minimise the most damage.

"We meet at last, Doctor." The Master grinned at the incapacitated man, "As if a perception filter would ever work on me. I'm disappointed in you Doctor."

The Doctor shouted, "Stop this! Stop this now!"

The Master turned his head where Jack and Martha had been hiding under their own perception filters, "And look its the girlie and the freak."

I stood as soon as he shot his laser device at Jack.

The Master lifted his device with a wide grin showing off his dimples, "Laser screwdriver. Who'd have a sonic?"

He turned his head toward me, eyes narrowed, "Don't you dare move another centimetre, my Marion, or who knows who else will be zapped."

The Doctor's voice turned to pleading, "Master if you could only calm down. Slow down and think. I could help with the drums."

"Hah!" The Master bent over in laughter, slapping his knee before composing himself with a wide grin, "Why ever would I need you Doctor, when I have her." He pointed at me and watched the Doctor look back at me with wide eyes.

I watched as the Master turned back to the Doctor expounding on how he was behind the Lazurus experiment. I inched myself slowly forward until I was nearly beside the Doctor.

"And what if?" The Master giggled, his gaze intent on the Doctor, "If Dr Lazurus could make himself younger, then what if I reversed it. 100 years perhaps."

'Stop him' my sister's voice sounded forced as if she were coming worlds away.

I jumped in the way of the laser beam heading toward the Doctor, both men's eyes widening and shouting, "No!"

A familiar warmth spread through my veins, so familiar that it resonated in my very bones.

I glowed.

I defied gravity as waves of golden hair cascaded down across the floors entangling the viewers and covering every inch of the deck.

My eyes closed and I searched out the Doctor's mind sending him the message my sister had conveyed in feelings only.

'Tell Martha the power of thought and of me. Time can be rewound.'

I felt a surge of emotion coming from the Doctor. Worry, affection, anger, fascination and the underlying hint of jealousy.

I opened my eyes and looked at the Master to find him gazing at me with ecstatic glee.

"Oh I knew you were special my Marion, but who knew."

"Stand down."

A giggle escaped the Master, "Did you forget what I have?"

Jack woke up with a gasp, "Take him out Rose just like the Weeping Angels."

"I cannot change what has already happened. You've already met them too, the person with a possessive gaze at a little corner shop."

"It can't be."

"Oh what did I miss?" The Master had stepped aside with a cellular before taking it hand, "Escort the Tyler duo to the Valiant."

My glow fluctuated, shattering the Valiant's glass partitions keeping the helm separate from the receiving area.

"Leave them be or I'll do my worst."

The Master giggled.

"If you know me at all there's something that I wouldn't wish upon even my worst enemy."

His eyes widened, "You would count me among the select few."

"If you so much as think of hurting those I love, I will."

"Don't worry, sweet Marion. I made a promise and I intend to keep it."

I felt as Martha's song left and knew the Doctor had imparted the message. I searched out my sister's but it was so weak, I felt my glow dim and my body lower to the ground. I couldn't feel her anymore, tears fell down my cheeks.

"What have you done?"

He gave the barest nod, the only warning as I felt something hit me with a sting at the back of my neck and I fell to the ground upon a heap of my still glowing golden locks.

[The Doctor]

"What are they?"

"The Toclafane?" The Master peered at his battle map, "Oh it was rather simple despite the parameters our Rose gave me. I had thought of creating a paradox, pity I made a deal. All that time, all the drums and so many at my beck and call. I didn't need a paradox in the end, humanity provided me its best. Look Doctor…"

The Master pointed out the window and the jingle of shackles were heard as the Doctor shuffled to the windows, to see airships descend after departing from Valiant upon the Earth below.

A pat on the shoulder and the Master leaned forward, "Now comes the Order of the Toclafane, a new era for planet Earth."
